As of right now, all story focus is going to be getting Lifeline completed. I've really slacked more then I should have on this story. But we're here now so Let's continue! This chapter will include a more detailed introduction to the start of the war for Cybertron. Nothing shall change but there will be more details added.

But first the disclaimer: I do not own Transformers/Beast Wars, that lofty honor goes to Hasbro/Takara. IF you like this story, have any questions, comments concerns and/or criticisms do not be afraid to let me know via Review and/or Pm!

Anthony's Salvage Yard.

The salvage yard was a mixed business, as it served as both salvage and repair. Reusable parts from worn out or crashed and put into still running vehicles. It was a fairly large complex with multiple sheds, lots of cars and Garages. Unlike most business owners of this type, Anthony had his house located way offsite. This well the smell wouldn't stick in his house.

Anthony wasn't the original owner, or even part of the family. But once the original owner had passed the family let him buy it out. He kept on good terms with them and would service their vehicles half off.

The sound of steel cutting, blow torches and wielding filled the air as Hound drew closer. He hit his brakes, throwing his three occupants forward. It was already mid afternoon by the time they had gotten back into town, so they were hoping it wasn't too busy at the shop.

"What in the name of Cybertron is that noise?" He shouted a hint of fear in his voice.

"That would be the sound of my brother and his employees hard at work." Bre said. Even through the thick sides of the jeep the sound could be heard.

"It sounds like what I heard at Triax during the war..." A shiver ran down Hound's frame.

"What the heck is a Triax?" Ed asked.

"Or are you talking about a person?" Sophie asked.

"Tirax was a port city back on Cybertron. What happened there was-" Hound paused to consider his words. He knew that he would have to tell them about the events at Tirax at some point. But he also knew that he ought to tell them about the war first. Luckily for him; Edwin came to his aid.

"How do you guys have Seas if you're made of metal?" He asked. "Wouldn't you guys like, rust or something?"

"Well I don't know what your seas are made of, but we have the Mithril Sea, though thanks to the war it became the Rust Sea." Hound said with a sigh.

"What the heck is Mithril?" Chorused the humans.

"It's a very bright metal only found on Cybertron; it occurs naturally on my planet and it even rains the stuff." explained Hound. Thankfully his talk of Mithril distracted the humans from the topic of the atrocities at Triax. In truth Mithril was plentiful on Cybertron, but all it was really good for was decoration. It came off very easily if you hit it with Energon. At one time it was thought to be the opposite of Electrum but that was proved to be false.

To other species it was a rare item that had its worth in gold. To the regular Cybertronian it was just shiny metal that the Senators coated themselves with. Some had been actually glad when the Decepticons dumped a rust virus into the sea.

Their minds soon turned toward other matters as they pulled into the places entrance. As Hound drove over a small bump a ring was heard. Anthony walked over, wiping off his hands with an oily rag.

"Welcome to Clay Restoration and Salvage; how many I help you today?" He asked.

"Hey bro, wassup?" Bre poked her head out of Hound's window nervously. Anthony jumped back in alarm.

"What the- is it Sunday already?" He asked. "You've only been gone for four hours."

"Yeah...we kinda had an accident up at the park..." Bre started to say.

"So you tried to cover it up with a paint job that isn't even close to the original?" He asked cynically. He walked over to Hounds hood and ran a hand over it.

"A different shade of green, yellow racing stripes, and trim." He mused and shot Bre a look.

"Did you honestly think you could cover this up?"

Bre looked down, back at her brother and then looked at Sophie and Ed. She had no idea what she was going to tell her brother. She also gave a glance toward the still in stasis Sari.

"It wasn't the jeep that had the accident it was Kat." Sophie quickly said. "Orion's taken her to the hospital."

"Okay, but why is the jeep repainted?" Anthony asked again.

"Because if you guys ran her over; then all the jeep would need is a good wash-down." Sophie, Bre, and Ed all went pale.

"How on earth do you know that?" Ed whispered.

"Bro it's nothing like that; it'll probably be better to show you." Bre said pleadingly. "Are any of your garages open?"

Anthony stared at his sister and let out a sigh. He didn't even want to begin thinking what she might have done this time. His sister usually kept her head down and avoided trouble so he was hoping it wasn't something too serious.

"Number four's empty at the moment so we can use that one." He sighed. The trio breathed sighs of relief. As Sophie drove Hound toward the garage in question; Anthony walked over to another garage. He leaned into the door and called out-

"Kasey!"

From underneath an old station wagon rolled a girl with long brown hair, currently bunched up. She was nineteen and had vibrant green eyes.

"Something wrong boss?" Kasey asked.

"I don't know yet, but if someone comes by; you're in charge until I'm done." He said before he walked off. Kasey watched him go before resuming her work.

Inside the garage, the group had worked quickly. They dragged Sari out of Hound and quickly piled out all the supplies on top of her. They didn't want her to be seen beforehand, especially since she was powered down.

"Okay that's the last of it, is this place tall enough?" Ed asked.

"It should be but I'll still crouch." Hound said. At that moment Anthony walked into the garage and hit the door button. Slowly the door closed, for Anthony it took less than a minute. For Sophie, Ed, and Bre it took hours.

"Okay, what is it that you have to show me?" He asked.

"Would it be easier to tell or show?" Sophie asked nervously.

"I can already see the paint; but can you explain to me why you felt the need to repaint the jeep?" Anthony asked again.

"Well for one thing it's not you're jeep." Ed said. Anthony stared blankly at Ed for a moment. He looked toward Sophie and Bre who nodded in agreement.

"So...how did you end up with another Jeep?"

"It's a tad bit complex bro; but..." Bre racked her brain for a moment before sighing.

"Okay yeah, there's no way to say it without sounding crazy." She said.

"Hound; would you care to do the honors?" asked Sophie.

"Sure thing." Hound said. Anthony looked up in alarm and then at the others.

"Woah wait a sec, you didn't say that it was a Knight Rider car!" Anthony said with wide eyes.

"I'm no Knight of Cybertron but thanks." Hound said. Right before their eyes, Hound began to transform. The jeep began to fold in on itself. The back end sliding down and flipping to form legs. The roof and sides extending out as arms, and the front forming a chest. Within a mere few seconds; Hound stood before them once more. Hound looked a little bit different, most noticeably was the chest made from the front of the jeep and his arms. The roof and canopy now formed almost shield like appendages.

"Well this is new." Hound looked over his arms. "I think I like it."

"It looks good on you." Ed gave Hound thumbs up.

Anthony had a different reaction to this. His eyes were wide and bugged out as he looked Hound over. His jaw went slack and he stumbled a little bit while the others stared back at him.

"Bro are you okay?" Bre asked tentatively. She walked over and shook her brother by the shoulder. Anthony still didn't respond for a moment before he let out what could be described as a gasping squeak.

"You guys found a giant anime space robot?" He said in a whisper.

"Well he's no anime but he is from space." Sophie said with a smirk.

Hound crouched down low and looked toward Anthony with a quizzical expression. Anthony stared at Hound, his eyes wider than plates. Hound snapped his fingers and then waved his hand in front of his face.

"Does he have some sort of processor malfunction?" Hound asked.

"A talking car just transformed into a giant robot; you would be like this too in my position!" Anthony declared.

"I guess I can't argue with that." Hound looked aside. Anthony whipped around to face the others with a giant grin on his face.

"Where did you find this thing and can I have one?" He asked like a little child.

"Or maybe I should take him apart and try to reverse engineer it." He then mused. Hound was taken aback by this and a frown came across his face.

"I am not some, plaything that you can take apart." He snapped.

"I'm an automus robotic organism, I may be made of metal but I am a living creature." He said with a small hint of anger in his voice. Anthony jumped back in alarm at the harshness of his tone. The others backed away a little as well.

"Wait, so you're like some kind of living machine?" Anthony looked at Hound.

"That's putting it mildly but yes." Hound answered. He heard Anthony whisper out something that sounded like "so cool" before he looked at Sophie.

"I thought you said that humans would be afraid of me." He pointed towards the excited looking Anthony.

"Well my brother is a sci fi and anime nerd; you'd be safe with that small group." Bre said.

"What on Cybertron is an anime?" Hound asked.

"We have much to teach you about human culture." Sophie said, patting his leg quietly. Hound gave her a confused look as Anthony looked at Hound again.

"So where did you find it, I mean him?" He asked again.

Bre explained to her brother the events that transpired on the mountain. Anthony sat there with wide eyes as he listened. Hound had a sick feeling his gut however and he looked towards Ed and Sophie.

"I don't mean to be rude; but are you sure we can trust him?" He asked nervously. He was still wary about the fact Anthony wanted to dismantle him. Anthony seemed to sense that too and once Bre was done he turned back toward Hound.

"Hey…sorry if we got off on the wrong foot for a second…" He said nervously. Once again, poor Hound was lost.

"Wait, which foot is the wrong one?" He looked down toward his feet and then up again. "Is that some kind of custom on your planet?"

"We've got a lot to teach this guy." Ed whispered to no one in particular.

"We also have to figure out where all his buddies are." Sophie said.

"He thinks that there are two more laying in hillside." She looked toward Anthony, who had begun stroking his chin.

"You guys found him where exactly?" He asked.

"Metal road valley, down by Robert memorial park." Bre said. Her brother threw up his arms in response.

"Then we have a problem, there is no way to get equipment down there to haul them back." He looked up at Hounds size and then back at the humans.

"Even more so if they're as big as this guy." He looked up at Hound and then asked,

"So how many of you guys are on this planet?" He asked.

"I think a better question might be why." Bre stated. Hound leaned back and sighed. He knew he would have had to tell them eventually.

"Cybertron was, and quite possibly still is, in the midst of a war." He said solemnly. "Not a war with another planet, or species, but with ourselves."

"You said that Autobot was a faction…" Sophie said. Hound gave a nod as he sat down, his arms crossing his knees.

"Right now it's the losing faction; it's a long story but if you'd all like to hear it…" Hound trailed off to wait for a reply.

The four humans looked at each other and shrugged. Bre pulled over several items for them to sit on. An oil barrel, two tool carts and a crate. Each of the humans sat down on one of them, Sophie pulled out her phone to record what Hound would say.

Hound watched as the humans gathered around with a small smile. He knew their enthusiasm would fade once he told them the story. With a sigh he began to recall the beginnings of the war.

Years before the Earth was created, Cybertron lived in the grips of a caste system. The systems function was meant to ensure that all Cybertronians could find their place in society. The systems however lead itself to certain abuses.

Bots with power, or the right amount of credits, could have those they didn't like placed in lower castes. Certain castes began to see themselves as superior to those in "lower castes." Certain positions that were once held in regard were now worthless. The senate controlled the actions of Cybertronian society; but they hardly did their job correctly.

The senate's members could be bribed, blackmailed, or coursed into the will of private parties. The head of the Senate was supposed to be the great Sentinel Prime, but Sentinel was old, and as such his purpose was more ceremonial at best. He was the longest matrix bearer in history. The matrix was an artifact of purse wisdom from the spark of Primus himself. The matrix was used to guide the senate in its decisions, but they hardly heeded its warnings anymore.

Every five hundred stellar cycles, the senate was replaced. Its members were rotated out to place new, cooler heads in. However it became clear that those pushing for a stronger caste systems were putting their own members in. It was around that time that many on Cybertron cried out for change. One group decided to do just that.

They were called the FAR. Freedom for Autonomous Robots, they wanted the caste systems changed the prime to take back the head of the senate. They held rallies and gained many a supporter throughout Cybertron. Their opponents said they were "Deceptive con artists" and soon began calling them Decepticons. Instead of demeaning them, the name empowered their movements.

Their new slogan was "If speaking the truth is deception; then we all guilty."

The Decepticon movement was lead by six Cybertronians.

Obsidian and Strika, who were once, revered generals in the military. Under the new caste system; they and those who fought for Cybertron were treated like dirt.

Ramjet was a flier, who was disgusted by the way his kind was treated. They were treated as oddities and mocked for their appearances and alt modes. Many a place was built to ensure that flies wouldn't fit.

Blurr was part of the races that at one timed thrilled Cybertronians. Once the caste system became more and more involved, the races became a blood sport. While lower castes let in just to crash.

Strongarm, the head of police. She watched as one too many times, guilty bots would get off the hook due to their caste. While innocent bots would be blamed. Bots who were guilty and lower caste got extremely harsh punishments.

The main leader was Scorponok. He was a construction bot that was once a former military commander. When the caste system pushed in; that all went out the window because they figured his size would make him useful in construction. At first he didn't mind, he saw it as another way to serve Cybertron. It didn't last long before those same bots declared him too big to be construction, and wanted him to be their private carrier. A glorified way of saying he was to be their car.

Their positions and records made them ideal leaders. All of them had supporters and fans, the entire Cybertronian police force had Strongarms back. Many of Blurrs fellow racers and fans joined him as well. Supporters poured in from the military and construction castes as well. The movement was huge and it looked like things were going well.

Until the smear campaign began. Members of the senate and upper castes formed their own group. They called it the Functionists, every form has its purpose and it should stick to that purpose. Using their prestige, they started to bully the Decepticons and their sympathizers. The Decepticons began to lose support in the face of this. Though Sentinel Prime and Alpha Trion had their support for the group.

Then the day came when Obsidian was walking through the slums of Kaon, trying to drum up support for the Decepticon cause. As he was passing through he caught sight of a data pad on the ground. It was a poem written by "Megatronus of Kaon." HE read it over and was moved by the words and sought out its owner. He soon found him, in a training chamber near the gladiatorial pits.

Megatronus was a former miner, turned away from his job for being too violent. His mind was full of anger and pain; physically he could inflict that back on others. But deep down in spark and mind, he was a master Decepticon movement sought him out for one reason; they wished for him to write their speeches for them. Megatronus rejected the offer, but once promised a position of power within the Decepticons, he relented.

The speeches penned by Megatronus inspired all who heard them. The Decepticon movement rose and grew, to the point where 70% of the population was Decepticons. In a landslide election the Decepticon party won the senate vote. It seemed like reform was on the way.

But Megatronus wanted it faster. He felt as if he was getting less credit then he deserved. He was going to get a good seat on the senate but he wanted more. Megatronus began to gather his own group of followers, his writings now turning against those he helped. The Decepticon leaders tried to reason with Megatronus and calm him down.

But Megatronus wouldn't have any of it. Obsidian was the first to die by his hands. Strongarm was next to fall, slain before the eyes of all the cops in Iacon. Blurr was then taken out in the middle of a race.

Strika tried to fight Megatronus but he ended up winning. The time came when only Scorponok was the last Decepticon leader. His own supporters were few. Many had fallen under the thrall of Megatronus. Megatronus and Scorponok's fight lasted for hours, neither of them really gaining headway. Eventually the fight spilled into the streets. It took a long time but eventually Megatronus slew Scorponok.

It came at a cost, Megatronus was so damaged that he required a complete rebuild. The general populace of Cybertron grew scared of Megatronus ambitions, and caused many to turn away from the Decepticons. Once Megatronus's rebuild was complete he redubbed himself by a name.

So began to reign of Megatron, and the rise of the Decepticons. In response to this, Sentinel formed a group known as the Autobots. Representing the original ideals of the Decepticon founders. They had a mission of freedom and fought against the tyranny of Megatron. Until Sentinel Prime fell and the young warrior, Orion Pax was chosen to be the near holder of the matrix. He gained the name Optimus Prime, and has been leading the Autobots for only a short time, but in that time they began to push back the Decepticons. Optimus hoped that one day he may end the war forever.

Hound watched the faces of the humans as he told his tale. Anthony sat with a square jaw and wide eyes, the others had shocked looks on their faces.

"Well, that's a lot to take in." Sophie said.

"Five hundred years, how long can you guys live for?" Ed asked.

"The oldest bot on Cybertron was Alpha Trion, clocking in at most believe ten billion years." Now Anthony's jaw hit the floor as well.

"Ten billion, don't you guys need like replacement parts and all that after a while?" Ed asked.

"Well yes; certain parts will get worn down and replaced over time." explained Hound. Then Bre asked the question that the others were nervous too.

"So, if the way was on your planet why are you here?" She asked. "I can understand if you were trying to flee it but-"

"No, we weren't trying to flee from it; we were trying to help stop it." Hound said with a sigh.

"Megatron had his scientist, Shockwave, seed this planet with energon, about five hundred of your years ago." Hound explained. "They wanted to let the energon absorb the planet and then mine it."

The group's eyes went wide with horror at the story. These aliens had actually tried to inject the planet with their fuel. Anthony looked toward Bre, now beginning to rethink his earlier acceptance of Hound.

"I was with about eight other Autobots, and we set out to stop the Decepticons from their plan." continued Hound.

"As you can guess, things didn't work out so well; both our ship and the Decepticons ship were destroyed over this planet." Hound said with a sad sigh.

"So you're one of the good guys right?" Anthony asked.

"If you mean I'm not a Decepticon than yes, I am an Autobot." Hound said. Before another question could be asked, Sophie stood up and clapped her hands sharply. She walked over and grabbed Anthony and Bre by their arms.

"Okay, I think it's time that we had a group meeting." She said quickly. Motioning for Ed to follow with them out the door. Hound titled his head and cocked his eyebrow.

"If you would excuse us for a few moments." She said before leading/pulling the group out of a side door from the garage.

Hound chuckled a little bit with a sigh, these humans were strange but at least they weren't going to kill him. At least that's what they had promised him. He was still a bit unsure about Anthony but at the very least he was safe.

Hound looked toward the bundle of supplies that had been dumped all over Sari. He carefully moved them aside and dug out the tiny minicon. She was still covered in dirt and other crud from being stuck underground. He could still detect a faint spark beat, so at the very least she was still online.

His mind began to drift back towards his other friends, and back toward his home. Questions began to fill his processor, was the war over, did Cybertron even exist anymore? His deepest fear was that he and Sari might be the only survivors of the crash filled him sorrow and dread.

If that was the case, and if the Decepticons had survived, then it was him and her against an entire army. The humans had little idea about the Decepticons, so it meant that their world hadn't been conquered by them yet. Or if they had even survived the crash at all, which Hound secretly hoped was true. But that still left him and Sari alone.

As hound ruminated over these thoughts, he began to feel very, very lonely.

Outside the garage, Sophie checked to make sure that no one was looking before she turned back toward the group. The three of them were all stunned by Hounds story, as well as being yanked out by Sophie. As their eyes adjusted to the spotlight she turned around to face them.

"Okay, I think we need to think this over again." She said. "I'm pretty sure giant robot alien warfare is outside of what we can do."

"Well, he said that he was one of the good guys in the war..." Ed said.

"I'm pretty sure if we ran across a deceptivecon they would say the same thing." Bre pointed out.

"Still, we can't just let him go we brought him back online." Ed pointed out. Sophie and Bre looked into a window, where Hound looked back and waved at them.

"Maybe we should call the army; they could help him better than us." Bre said.

"Oh yeah sis, call the military and it will all be fine." Her brother said with a chuckle.

"Haven't you seen the movies; we'll probably end up arrested for hiding an E.T."

"You don't know that for a fact." Sophie said.

"Do you?" Anthony asked. Sophie blinked and looked to the side worriedly.

"Look, if he's been fighting in a war then that would mean he's armed right?" Ed asked. The rest of the group nodded nervously, unsure of where he was going with this.

"Then wouldn't a soldier, any solider, have blown him to kingdom come when he asked to dismantle him?" Ed said, pointing directly at Anthony. The mechanic rolled his eyes with a disgruntled sigh.

"That's going to be hanging over my head for a while isn't it?" He asked.

"We can't just let him roam free, at the very least until he gets fed up enough to kill us." Bre commented.

"We don't really have a lot of options." Ed shrugged. "We did bring him back online so we're responsible for what happens next."

That weighed heavily on their minds once again; Hound was massive enough on his own. The thought of other like him fighting on earth. Even if it was something akin to a minor school yard brawl one fight alone could cause massive damage.

"We're going to have to play this straight and just hope for the best." Sophie sighed. The others gave similar nods of agreement before they headed back into the garage. Hound sat there, patiently waiting for them. Sophie walked over and tapped looked up toward him.

"So Hound, what are the others with you like?" She asked a little apprehensively. Hound looked down at her and then thought it over a moment.

"Well, I never really knew them all personally, only Sari, Bumblebee and Ironhide." He explained. A loud whooping like sound was heard from Bre stifling her laughter. The others looked a bit amused by the name as well.

"I don't understand...did I say something funny?" He asked cautiously.

Y-You're good, we've just never heard a name like "Ironhide" before." Anthony said with a chuckle. Hound blinked but could only shrug a little in response.

"Bumblebee's a rather quiet bot; he used to be more talkative before an incident at Darkmount..." He trailed off. Another snicker arouse from the group. Hound ignored them as he continued. He grave brief overviews of those that had been on the ship. He didn't know if it was intentional or not, but he didn't mention Ironhide's past.

As he got to Wheeljack, a knocking was heard on the door to the garage. Everyone jumped and Hound swiftly transformed back into his jeep alternate mode. Anthony walked over toward the door and called out,

"Who is it?"

"It's me boss, it's almost closing time and we haven't seen you in a while." Kasey said.

"We're fine; they're just telling me about their day." Anthony said.

"Whatever you say boss." Kasey said with a slight chuckle. As she walked away, Anthony let out a sigh.

"I forgot that we close up early on Saturday, and we all get Sunday off." He explained, walking over toward Hound.

"Well we can't just leave Bumblebee and Wheeljack for someone to stumble across." Hound said.

"I'll tell you what we'll do, if they can be reactivated I'll help you guys get out of the valley via the old rail line." Anthony explained. "It's been abandoned for at least twenty years and no one wants to screw up the park tearing it up."

"You'd really do that?" Hound asked.

"Well we did bring you back online and you helped Kat." Sophie said. Her eyes winded as she grabbed her phone from her pocket again.

"Oh snap, I forgot that I was supposed to call Orion!" She said quickly before chuckling slightly.

"Ed should probably come back with me since Kat and Orion are my ride back to town." Sophie said.

"Max isn't expecting me back until Sunday so..." He trailed off as Anthony shook his head.

"If Kat was admitted and Orion reported how, then odds are he knows something happened kid." Ed shoved his hands into his pockets with a grunt. Bre noticed this with a concerned look, before averting her gaze. Sophie had a rather quick conversation with Orion. He had dropped Kat off at the hospital and he had taken her home. He was already on his way to the salvage yard, and Max was aware of the incident.

As Sophie and Ed walked toward the front Entrance, Bre looked toward her brother.

"So where the big is guy going to go for the night?" She asked, gesturing toward Hound.

"Well, this garage isn't in use, so Hound can stay in here." Anthony said.

"Hope you don't mind the smell of oil." Bre said under her breath.

"We used to bathe in the stuff back home." Hound said. This was meet with silence from both Bre and Anthony before they exchanged glances.

"Not even going to touch that one." They both said in unison. With that the two of them left the garage, leaving Hound alone with the stasis locked Sari. This time however, Hound didn't feel as alone. This was going to be an interesting time for him, and while these humans were a bit strange they had only shown him kindness.

Despite everything, Hound felt a little bit more at home as he powered down for the night. Though he still sent out a prayer to Primus for the safety of his friends still unfound.

Yeah I decided to change the war story a bit. I kept it in the same outlines because I wanted to take Megatron in a bit off a different direction.I know I'm breaking my rule with the two chapters thing, but I wanted at least three chapters released this month ^^:

Next chapter though his when things get interesting. Also please give me some feed back on this work, any bit helps :D Till next time
