Chapter 12: No Idea

"Why don't you come with me so I can introduce you to Okaa-san?"

"Nah. I'm not yet ready and I don't have anything with me. Besides, I'm staying here for a few weeks so we don't have to hurry."

"What?! Really! That's good news! I'm so glad we can still spend a lot of time together! So, see you later?"

"Yep! Later Mum! Take care!"

Even though he said that! It's been almost three days since he last contacted me! Urgh! I really need to buy a new phone! Yeah, it's inconvenient when you are not carrying one especially if you're waiting for important calls. Oh. He did contact me the night after he send me home—through our home's phone saying he might get busy. But that's not enough for me! It's like…he's so near yet so far! Huh? Did I just say that? He's not my boyfriend you know!

"I thought that Inu Shippo will be teaching you?"

I raised my head a little bit and saw Megane-senpai fixing his eyeglasses while smiling. Hn. As if I won't miss the sarcasm in your voice Four-eyed! I only said "Hmph. Nice try senpai." then I continued to do my work. Oh right. Since Shippo is busy, I asked Mori-senpai to tutor me in History which he agreed after a long pause—reeaaly long pause. Anyway, what's good is that he agreed and I'm very much thankful for his help—we arranged for him to tutor me every after my host club duties, meaning he's only available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. He's a very good tutor actually, giving hints and questionnaires for me to answer—telling me that it will definitely appear on the exams which I hope is true. When I asked questions, he will answer them as brief and concise as possible, in a way that I can easily understand what he's trying to point out. He's the best tutor ever! I mentally giggled at my silliness.

When I finished answering the questionnaires, I stretched my arms and legs. Then when I looked straight, I'm quite stunned to see all of them still in the room. I glanced at the window and saw the sky painted in orange so I looked back at them. "Why are you still here? It's getting dark." I tilted my head a little.

"There's no way we will leave you here Gome-chan!" said Hani-senpai who just finished eating his cake and placed the desert plate on top of the long pile of cake. Wow…he surely ate a lot… I thought in awe.

"Yeah! We can't leave you here alone after all that happened!" said the twins simultaneously while standing up. Oh…I think it concerns about the attack that took place when I just started here…? I can't help but to smile at that. Their concerns are warming my heart.

"That's correct my dear Kagome~! I can't possibly make you lonely without my presence~!" The idiot-prince dramatically said while reaching for my hand which I pinched immediately so he scoot away and got depressed on the corner. Though I also smiled inwardly thinking that senpai didn't fail to amuse me every time.

"We can also study together at home if you want." Offered Haruhi who smiled at me which earned her protests from the idiot twins and prince saying, "That's unfair! Invite us to your house too!"

"Sorry guys. It's my special privilege." I said to them while smirking which produced more protests.

"If you're finished, it's time to go home." Who said that? Of course it's Ootori-senpai.

"Wait! I want to thank Mori-senpai!" I rushed towards him and held his hands (I didn't miss the slight blush creeping his face which I found cute) then grinned at him. "Thank you so much senpai! I hope you'll still help me at least until before the exams!" He nodded slowly so I shake his hands before removing my grip on him.

Then we all gathered our things and set out of the room. I was the last one to leave the room when I noticed Megane-senpai waiting for me at the door. I gave him a curious look so he showed me sets of keys. Oh right…he's the one who's locking up. Why do we need to lock the room anyway? Then I remembered something.

"By the way senpai. I have something to ask!"

He put back the keys on his back then looked at me. "What is it? I also have something to ask you but go ahead."

I first glanced at the others and saw that they are now quite far. Good. I don't want them to hear this—especially the twins and Suoh-senpai. "Do you mind going out with me?" I stared at him who became silent and noticed his eyebrows slightly raised. What did I say again? Oops…that sounds not quite right! "Err…I mean do you mind accompanying me? We don't have club activities tomorrow because Taichou is out of the country."

"Oh." He regained his composure by fixing his eyeglasses to place. "Why are you asking me? You do know my time is precious."

"Hai hai. You are a very important person that needs to gain benefits before doing something." I sighed. "Look. I'm only going to buy a smartphone and to tell you honestly, I'm not a 'techy' kind of person so I don't have any idea what to buy. Also, I know the Great Ootori Kyouya to have a vast knowledge about the latest technologies so please, will just do this favour for me only this once?"

"I'm pretty sure Hikaru and Kaoru have also 'a vast knowledge about the latest technologies' so why not ask them?"

"Huh?! Are you serious? They are as frivolous as Suoh-senpai! There's no way I want to be seen with them in public—or more like in front of the common-folks like me! Do you get what I mean?"

He placed his thumb and point finger as if thinking. "You are quite right. Those two are hard to handle sometimes. Then…" He paused then stared at me. "…why not ask that Inu Shippo to go with you…?"

My eyebrows knitted. "Huh? Shippo? Well maybe I wanted him to go with me but—"

"There. Go with him." He then walked away but I stopped him just in time and get him to face me again.

"He's busy okay? Sesshomaru said he's doing his job at their company since he's one of the board members so I can't ask him."

He folded his arms. "So what you're saying is I'm the second option." I heard a little bit of contempt in his voice.

"What? No! Of course not! You were actually the first one I thought of when I decided to buy a new phone!"

"…" He only stared at me, as if making sure I didn't lie to him.

"Hello? Say something!" He's still staring so I sighed and raised my hands slightly. "Okay okay. If you're really so against it, then I won't ask you any—"

"Fine. What time?" He suddenly said without much of an expression.

"11 am at—"

"Then I'll pick you up. Make sure you're at the foot of the stairs at exactly 10:45." Then he strode away leaving me dumbfounded.

What's gotten into him all of a sudden…? He's really hard to understand sometimes… I thought while following him.

First of all, I'm sorry if is it's so short. I only managed to do this with my limited time even though it's Saturday. But still, I'm happy to be able to wrote this chapter~! And I'm sorry to disappoint some of you my dear readers because Shippo, Sesshomaru and the Kyudo Club didn't appear here.

Anyway, my next update will be…I think after two weeks or so? *sigh* Being a college student is quite tough and depressing! Because I can't watch anime and read manga like I used to! But don't worry! To KyouyaXKagome fans~ I assure you! You will like/love the next chapter~~! Ohohoho~
