"Regina wait!" Ruby yells as she watches the former Evil Queen rush out of the diner, everyone had been celebrating the defeat of Zelena when Emma came back with Robin's wife Marian.
The Queen stops and turns around looking at Ruby, the waitress having followed her down the road. "What do you want Miss Lucas?" she asks trying to keep her tears at bay, of course a Charming ruined her happiness once more.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I mean with what happened. If you need anyone to talk to her to rant to I'm here for you." the wolf says softly as she stops a few inches away from Regina.
Rolling her eyes Regina goes to speak but stops as the rest of what Ruby said catches up to her. "You would willingly be there for the one person that tried endlessly to kill your best friend?" she asks in confusion.
Ruby smiles softly, "Well considering how much you have changed, yeah. I will willingly be there for you. Plus the curse wasn't half as bad as everyone thinks, I actually wish it was still happening." she admits sheepishly.
"Why?" the former Evil Queen asks in confusion, she always thought the wolf was more loyal to the Charmings than anything, but with what she was saying she wondered if it was true.
Shrugging Ruby just starts walking towards Regina's car, "Come on, you need some company, and well so do I."
"Miss Lucas- Fine." Regina says before unlocking the door to her car and getting in.

A little while later Ruby and Regina are sitting in the kitchen drinking some of the latter's famous Apple Cider. They had just been sitting there quietly enjoying the company; that is until Ruby decides to speak.
"You know, I've always thought you were really hot." the wolf admits watching Regina for any sign of disgust or anything else that could possibly change the way this night goes.
Slowly sitting her wine glass down, Regina looks at the wolf, her facial expression giving nothing away. "You have, have you." she says almost in what sounds like seductress tone of voice.
"Well yeah, I mean the dresses you wore in the Enchanted Forest, and along with your badass, 'I don't give a shit' manner. Plus here you still have the same attitude just with a little more of a soft side." Ruby responds, swallowing when she sees the Mayor's already dark and mysterious eyes darken even more with lust.
Standing up, Regina walks over to Ruby pushing the wolf's chair bag and sliding onto her lap. "I always thought you were the most intriguing of Snow's followers." she practically purrs before leaning down and sliding her lips across the wolf's.
Moaning into the kiss, Ruby grips onto Regina's hips and kisses back, she would let Regina be in the lead.
Deepening the kiss Regina uses her magic to make them appear in her room, on her bed, and completely naked.
"I need you." the Mayor whispers before leaning down and kissing her.
Ruby is quick to flip them as she begins to kiss down the brunette's body, stopping once she reaches her wet core.

Ruby sighs as she walks home from work, she hadn't seen Regina for three days after their sexual encounter.
"Hey Red, let's go out to the Rabbit Hole." Emma suggests when the waitress walks through the front door of their shared apartment.
Looking over at the blonde, the wolf sighs, "Not tonight Em. I just want to go home and sleep." she says before going into her room.
After showering and then changing into some pajamas, the wolf climbs into bed and falls asleep quickly. It's around 3AM when she is awoken by the sound of her phone going off, sitting up she reaches out and grabs it, reading the text.
'I need you.-Regina'
And before she can even think she is getting up and getting dressed, if Regina needed her she would be there as soon as possible.
"Took you long enough." Regina says upon opening the door and seeing Ruby.
Ruby smiles softly, "Just had to come up with an excuse for Emma." she says before she is shoved up against the front door, causing it to close behind her.
Soon enough moans and gasps echo through the house.

Giving him a tense smile, the wolf walks back behind the counter just as the bell rings signaling a new customer. Looking up Ruby practically loses all of her breath, standing in the door way with Robin Hood of all people was Regina.
"Huh? I thought he was back with his wife." Snow says taking a seat at the counter.
Ruby takes a deep breath, "Yeah so did I." she mumbles trying to ignore the pain in her chest.
"You okay?" Emma asks sitting down next to her mother and noticing the sadness in Ruby's eyes.
The wolf quickly looks towards Snow before turning to Emma, "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Oh come on, almost everyone knows about you and Regina." Leroy cuts in having heard the conversation. "Now, are you okay sister?"
"No, but I will be." the waitress whispers before going back to doing her work.
Regina walks up to the counter, only to be ignored by Ruby. "Red?"
"Four weeks." Ruby whispers not even looking at her.
Confusion crosses Regina's face, "What?" she asks not knowing what the wolf was trying to say.
"We've been doing this for almost a year, four weeks from now it will be a year." the waitress responds looking up into dark brown eyes. "I thought maybe you were feeling what I felt. But I guess not."
"Red, that's not tru-" Regina is cut off by Ruby walking away, she was in too much pain to hear what Regina had to say.

It had been a month since Ruby spoke to let alone looked at Regina, any time the mayor came into the diner, she went to the back and worked in the kitchen until Regina left.
"Ruby, you can't keep ignoring her forever, I get that what she did hurt you but you shouldn't ignore her." Emma says as she sits down on the couch next to the wolf.
Rolling her eyes Ruby grabs a couple of chips, "You wouldn't understand, you have Killian." she mumbles.
"Just think about it, I think you and her need to talk." the sheriff says before they sit in silence.
Nodding her head Ruby goes back to watching the movie that was playing on the tv, they were watching a show called Miami Medical, and the wolf couldn't help but thinking that the brunette doctor looked just like Regina.
"Emma, I was really falling in love with her, but she hurt me." the wolf whispers.
Emma smiles sadly, "You just have to keep trying, everyone gets hurt."
After a while they sit there and watch the movie before deciding to go to bed.

"What the hell!" Regina yells as she walks in on Robin and Marian, she had trusted Robin once again only to get hurt in the end.
Robin's eyes widen as he quickly pulls away from Marian and covers them up with a blanket, "Gina, it's not what it looks like." he says quickly.
Regina's eyes flash with anger, "Really? Because to me it looks like you and Marian are fucking in my bed!" she growls out while trying to calm down.
"I didn't mean for it to happen, she just showed up, and wanted to talk." the thief says quickly getting dressed.
"You both need to be gone by the time I come back." the former Evil Queen responds before using magic to leave.

"I don't care about Robin anymore!" Regina yells as she tries to get the wolf to look at her, they had been arguing for an hour since Regina suddenly showed up at the wolf's apartment.
Ruby rolls her eyes and tries to move away from Regina. "You chose him, and now that he's cheated on you, you want me."
"I've always wanted you! I was just scared, every time I find someone that I love and trust something always goes wrong." the former Evil Queen says grabbing Ruby's hands.
The wolf sighs, "You could have talked to me, instead of deciding to go back to that asshole." She mumbles.
"I know that now." Regina whispers softly as she pulls Ruby into a sweet kiss.

Ruby smiles as she wakes up holding Regina in her arms, the mayor was still asleep her face buried in Ruby's neck.

A smile crosses Regina's lips in her sleep, as she moves closer to Ruby, after a year of everything that had happened, they were finally together.
"And I love you little one." Ruby whispers while running her hand over Regina's slightly bulging stomach.
