Vampire Diaries: Megsy meets Damon vol. 2
A/N: This is the much-awaited sequel to Vampire Diaries: Megsy meets Damon. I have seen series two now, and it was frikkin' awesome, so this will be set after most of the events of series two have happened. (Except for Jeremy not dying when he overdosed himself and other events that would interfere with my version of events that followed in the last story) And I'm going to make those events have been set over a year, so David would be one in this story and all the characters would be a year older. This will mostly be about Damon and Megsy's wedding and the events around it. But I'm going to bring the two originals that appeared in series 2 into it. Klaus and Elijah are coming to town. Yay! Let's say Klaus left town after breaking the hybrid curse that was placed on him. And Klaus comes back because he believes that Megsy holds the key to a strong power greater than his as he sees no other way to explain how Megsy had David. But will Elijah be on Klaus's side or Megsy and Damon's? Hopefully he'll be pissed at Klaus for staking him. But you know what they say, blood is thicker than water. And will Klaus put Megsy on edge? Read and find out.

It is nice to know that people think these stories are a good read! Please tell me if I have missed anyone I should have thanked. I have a bad habit of focusing on too many things at once, so I'm trying not to do that. I will start writing other fics after I have wrapped up this one, which should hopefully not be too long now. I keep saying 'oh, 3/4 more chapters to go' and now it's like 7 chapters later. I realise I have a whole lot more to add. But this should be wrapped up in a maximum of about 10 chapters... I hope. Silas has the tomb stone and the cure. Katherine is now on the Salvatore team. The plain failed.
Silas can no longer read the minds of our little gang! Gang includes; Katherine, Elena, Caroline, Jeremy, Tyler, Matt, Rebekah, Stefan and Damon. Silas can still read Bonnie's mind though.
We meet Luke and Liv!
Silas bought Lexi, Alaric and Jenna back to life for good.
Silas killed Damon and Elena! The anchor was revealed... and Silas killed her... but it turned out it was fake.
Megsy is Silas! Silas is Megsy!
The travellers have appeared! And they've ambushed our little gang.

Chapter 35: Travellers and shock at revelations!
Damon, Elena, Stefan, Caroline, Tyler, Matt, Rebekah, Liv, Luke, Jeremy, Alaric, Jenna, Lexi, and Megsy were all shocked at the past events and had now come face to face with a group of menacing travellers.
Bonnie: Excuse me, but... what are travellers?
Traveller Leader: Travellers are the only pure magic that exists in the word. We came before the vampires, before the witches that made them. Those witches made abominations and we are the only pure source of magic left.
Bonnie quieted, afraid to say anything else.
Traveller Leader: My name is Marcus. And me and my friends here... Well... we're taking back our town. And destroying every impure source of magic.
Everyone just sent each other looks. This was all a lot to happen and a lot to process in a mere matter of minutes. Damon and Elena had come back to life. They found out that Megsy's Silas and she's the one that killed them in the first place. And now these travellers. It's all so much so soon. Damon and Elena were probably the most shocked that they were both back to life. They sent each other a look a small smile. Damon turned to look at Megsy, then the travellers, and frowned. He and Elena were still a little out of it and had missed the big revelation about Megsy.
Elena: How are we alive?
Bonnie: Megsy bought you back.
There was no emotion on Bonnie's face as she said this, her voice completely blank and void of emotion. Both Damon and Elena looked over at Megsy. Megsy was standing in the corner her hands shaking slightly. She looked as if she was fighting desperately to look calm and remain composed. Damon smiled when he saw her.
Damon: Megsy? You escaped from Silas?
Megsy met his eyes, her expression guilty and devastated. She looked at Bonnie, wondering if Bonnie would say. Bonnie crossed her arms and rose an eyebrow, hate crossing her features. Megsy gulped and turned back to look Damon in the eyes.
Megsy: No. I haven't. I can never escape from Silas.
Damon ran over to her so they were face to face. She was shivering now. Damon held her arms in a loving and comforting embrace. She was grateful for it but she knew she didn't deserve it. She looked away for a second, and then looked up to meet his eyes again. The devastation and guilt was still so clear on her expression.
Megsy: I am Silas. I killed you Damon.
Damon let go of her and took huge steps back. His face was contorted in her. He kept taking steps back as he spoke.
Damon: What? What are you talking about? No, it's not true! You're lying.
Bonnie: She's not lying Damon. She betrayed us all.
Damon turned back to face Bonnie, the hurt and betrayal clear in his eyes. Elena was looking on in shock.
Bonnie: She killed the person she was supposed to love more than anything. She's a monster.
Elena: But... then why bring us back?
Caroline: And where's Amara?
Megsy: Safe. In the forest.
She looked away, obviously avoiding the other question.
Bonnie: Maybe you didn't hear her. But Elena asked why you bought them back... Why did you bring them back?
Megsy: I don't know! Ok? I don't know why I killed them, and I don't know why I bought them back! I don't know why I made you think Amara was dead and the other side non-existent! I don't know why I did anything! Ok?! I never do! And I wish I could take it all back and go back to over a year ago. But I can't!
Bonnie: Don't act like a whiny brat! This is your mess! You are the one who chose to do these things.
Megsy sighed and rubbed her head with the palm of her hand.
Megsy: I know.
Bonnie: And now I'm going to kill you. First chance I get.
Megsy looked up. She searched Bonnie's eyes. Megsy didn't look shocked or worried. She seemed to accept it. She nodded and bowed her head.
Megsy: I know.
Under her breath she spoke again this time, thinking that no-one could hear her.
Megsy: Good luck. I hope you succeed.
No-one reacted since no-one heard. Marcus cleared his throat and everyone looked at him in surprise. In the heat of the moment, they had all forgotten about the travellers and their current situation.
Marcus: Now, if you don't mind stopping the dramatics. It's time for us to kill you all.
They all looked at each other with worry in their eyes, wondering what they were going to do now. Megsy took a quick glance at the scene. She took some kind of powder out of her pocket and blew it on the horde of travellers. Her eyes brightened as she compelled them all.
Megsy: Sleep.
The travellers looked at her in shock as if they had never seen anyone do anything like that before. The shock only lasted few moments, before all of them were forced to obey the command and one by one fell to the floor, asleep. Megsy looked at the group of people who were once her friends. She realised how much she'd screwed it up. They were all looking at her with hatred and hurt in their eyes. Lexi was just looking at her disappointed. Megsy took in a sharp breath, hating that she'd disappointed her sister, but knowing that it wasn't the first time, and it wouldn't be the last. Knowing that she was just a screw up. Worthless. She took a deep breath. She knew what she had to do.
Megsy: Well... see ya.
The group watched on as Megsy ran from the scene, using vampire speed.

Tyler, Rebekah, Stefan, Caroline, Matt, Katherine, Bonnie, Liv, Luke, Alaric, Jenna, Jeremy and Lexi were all sitting and standing around the Salvatore House coming up with what they should do now.
Caroline: So... what do we do now?... About Megsy, I mean?
Bonnie: Isn't it obvious? We kill her!
Stefan: I- I don't know, Bonnie...
Bonnie: Stefan, she killed Damon! She can't be trusted not to hurt people!
Stefan: I- You're right...
Stefan: I think we all have to face the reality that...
Matt: Megsy has to die. She's gone too far. There's no coming back from this.
Rebekah: I agree. She's becoming a menace and is putting all our lives in danger.
Jeremy: Agreed. She killed Elena. I say let's kill her.
Tyler nodded.
Tyler: Agreed.
Liv: Well Luke and I don't really know you guys that well, but we'll help. And if you want my honest opinion, she needs to be put down.
Luke nodded, agreeing with his twin.
Luke: She's crazy. Psychotic.
Jenna: I agree. I don't know her very well, but she doesn't seem stable. I don't trust her around you guys. She's already killed you once, Elena.
Alaric: As much as it pains me to say it, I agree. We... have to put her down.
Alaric sighed and rubbed his head with the palm of his hand. This was a tough situation.
Elena: I-
Elena paused, seeming reluctant.
Elena: But- What if she needs help?
Jenna: She killed you Elena!
Elena: I know. I guess I just... I want to see the best in people. But there's no other option for her, is there?
She looked at Stefan and Stefan shook his head sadly. Damon was just standing there, his face blank.
Stefan: Damon?
Damon: I- I don't know... I... I still love her Stefan... I still love her more than anything... How gullible am I? I thought she loved me back. Argh, I'm so stupid!
He took the glass of bourbon he was holding and threw it against the wall in his rage. It shattered and bourbon spilled on the carpet. Elena stepped towards Damon and held his arm, trying to calm him down.
Elena: Shh it's ok.
He slowly calmed down.
Damon: No, it's not.
His words lacked rage now, however. Elena let go of his arm and took a small step back, once she was sure he had calmed down.
Elena: You know, when my emotions came back. I realised how much the sire bond had been affecting us.
Damon: Yeah, I noticed it too.
Elena: The sire bond heightened our emotions for each other. I do love you Damon, and I always will but I'll always love Stefan more. The sire bond made us forget our other feelings and focus on each other.
Damon: I know what you mean, Elena. I feel exactly the same. I'll always love you in some way, but I'll always love Megsy more.
Elena: So we're on the same page?
Damon: Yeah, we are.
Elena: So does this make us broken up?
Damon: I think we've been broken up a while now. Just neither of us confronted it.
Elena: Then let's make it official.
Damon gave her a small smile and they shook hands, officially breaking up. Damon went and sat on the sofa with his head in his hands, thinking about everything that was going on. Elena went over to Stefan, looking him in the eyes.
Elena: I'm so sorry Stefan.
Stefan just nodded.
Elena: I wish I could make it up to you. The sire bond made us act that way. Some part of me does love Damon, and always will. But all of me has always loved you more, more than anything, and always will.
Stefan smiled.
Stefan: Then that's all I need Elena.
She smiled and the two shared a passionate kiss, the two of them finally back together. Katherine purposefully cleared her throat, breaking the two apart from each other in surprise. Katherine grinned, loving all the drama and misery.
Katherine: Hate to break the lovey dovey session, but I believe there's one more person who needs to hop on board the 'Let's Kill Megsy' train. And I'm not talking about me. I'm already on board.
She gestured to Lexi, who was sitting next to her. Lexi looked at them in shock.
Stefan: Lexi?
Lexi shook her head.
Lexi: She's my sister... I'm sorry. Leave me out of this.
Lexi stood up and flashed out of the room. They all looked at each other, all obviously worried about her.
Katherine: Awkward. Was it something I said(!)
Katherine let out a small evil laugh, happy at the misery and drama.
Katherine: The drama, the drama!
Caroline: Shut up, Katherine!
Katherine: Oh fine! But you're forgetting one thing.
Tyler: And what's that?
Katherine: What are you going to do about the travellers?
They all just looked at each other. What were they going to do above the travellers? Katherine stood up.
Katherine: Well I'd love to stay and help, but when the going gets tough, Katherine Pierce gets going. Survival instinct. Only pick fights you can win.
She walked out the door. No-one knew when they'd see her again.
Bonnie: What are we going to do about the travellers?
No-one had an answer.

Megsy was alone in a field. She was crying, a sea of tears rolling down her cheeks. She took a deep breath, appearing like she was getting herself ready for something. She reached inside herself and... pulled out her own heart, dropping it on the floor. She fell to the floor, becoming completely desiccated, and appearing dead. Lexi was walking and there she saw her sister. Her eyes filled with worry.
Lexi: Megsy? Oh god no! Megsy!
Tears brimmed at her eyes, threatening to spill. She looked at the heart on the ground and began to sob, her hands covering her face.
Lexi: Oh god...
She jumped backwards, completely shocked, as the heart began to move. Her eyes grew wide with fear.
Lexi: What the-?!
The heart jumped back into Megsy's body of it's own accord, reattached itself and the skin there healed leaving no hole in the chest where there was one before. Megsy's skin went back to normal and Megsy's eyes flickered open as she took in a deep breath. Lexi smiled happy that her sister was alive and hugged her. Megsy sat up.
Megsy: Lexi?
Lexi slapped her. Megsy rubbed the cheek that Lexi had slapped.
Megsy: Ow.
Lexi: How dare you make me think you were dead! What do you think you were doing?
Megsy: What does it look like I was doing? I was trying to kill myself.
Lexi: But... why?
Megsy rolled her eyes.
Megsy: Why do you think? I'm worthless! All I do, is hurt the people around me!
Lexi: Megsy...
Megsy: No! You know it's true Lexi, you can't deny it.
Lexi swallowed her words, looking at her sister with sadness in her eyes. They sat side by side. Tears were rolling down Megsy's cheeks.
Megsy: It's better this way.
Lexi: No! You are a good person at heart Megsy. Whatever you might've done, you are still an innocent!
Megsy: An innocent? Don't make me laugh, Lexi. I am anything but innocent.
Lexi: Well, I remember when you were.
Megsy: That's because I had you! You and I both know, that I have never been able to control myself! I could only ever cope if I had you. Why did you leave me, Lexi?
Lexi: I didn't want to leave you Megsy. I had other people to help.
Megsy: I still needed it.
Lexi shook her head.
Lexi: No, you didn't. You were happy! You were happy with Damon and your son and you were fine! You had complete control! So what's changed?
Megsy: Every time I let someone in, they let me down. And my emotions just go into overdrive. You and I both know that my emotions are heightened far more than any supernatural creature. They were like that when I was just a vampire slash witch. They have gotten more and more heightened every time I've been turned into something else. Now I'm a werewolf, a witch, a vampire, an immortal, a psychic, a mind-reader, and my emotions are sky high. And it's driving me insane.
Lexi: Then... it pains me to say this but... maybe you should turn it off. You've always been dictated by your emotions Megsy.
Megsy: I can't turn it off. I never could. No matter how much I pretended. Even when Klaus compelled me, my emotions weren't completely gone. They were dimmed or focused on one particular thing. That's my secret. I can never turn it off.
Lexi: Megsy... I never knew...
Megsy: Because I never told you. It doesn't matter anymore. I can't take it anymore. I'm going to keep trying to kill myself Lexi, please don't try and stop me!
Lexi: I will try and stop you! What about your friends?
Megsy: I betrayed them. Abandoned them. They aren't my friends anymore. I've done nothing but hurt them.
Lexi: Then what about Damon?
Megsy: Damon was so sweet to me. I saw him with Elena and I couldn't take it. I didn't even stop for explanations. If I get this bad at something like that, what if it was something worse?
Megsy looks at Lexi with fear in her eyes. Fear... of herself.
Megsy: I killed him, Lexi. The person I love the most, more than anything. I killed him. Damon... and David... they're better off without me.
Lexi: Your son is not better of without his Mom!
Megsy: Yes, he is. What if I hurt him, Lexi?
Lexi: You wouldn't do that!
Megsy: I killed Damon.
Lexi: Yes... but you had a guarantee that you could bring both him and Elena back... didn't you?
Megsy looked shock that Lexi knew that.
Megsy: Yes... I did. But that doesn't excuse it.
Lexi shook her head, exasperated. She didn't seem to be getting through.
Lexi: You never needed me Megsy. You just thought you did. So you need to wake up and stop letting your emotions dictate your every action!
Lexi took in a deep breath and calmly walked away. Megsy sat there, resting her head on her knees, thinking about their conversation.

Damon was at Liz's house. He needed to see his son. He walked into the house since he already had an invitation. He walked into the sitting room and saw Liz and Damon sitting down playing scrabble. Damon gave his friend Liz a small smile. That was all he could manage right now.
Damon: Thanks for looking after him. Again.
Liz: Oh, it's not a problem. I like looking after him. He's a good boy.
Damon: Could I speak to him alone a minute?
Liz: Sure, of course. Liz walked out of the room, sensing that it was important. Once she was out of earshot, Damon crouched down in front of his son.
Damon: Hey David.
David grinned.
David: Daddy!
He stood up and rushed to hug his dad.
Damon: It's good to see you, scamp.
He ruffled his son's hair. He looked him in the eyes.
Damon: I'm sorry you've been away from home so much. But no more, ok? You're coming home for good now.
David: Yay! And what about mommy, daddy? Is mommy finally coming home.
A sad expression came over Damon's face. David mirrored it as he saw it.
Damon: No, son. Your mom's not coming home. I'm afraid... She's never coming home.
