Toadette and Petey Piranha were still hanging around with each other, this time at the rainy Neo Bowser City for a nice rainy time together, when they noticed Dry Bowser dashing past them, the duo confused as they looked at each other, the noticed their skeletal reptile friend turned his skull around to tell them something important.
"Don't just stand there like idiots looking stupid! Run!" Dry Bowser warned as he just kept running like there was no tomorrow.
"Hey! I may be an idiot, but don't call me stupid!" Petey Piranha barked angrily as he flailed his big green leaves about.
"And I may be stupid, but don't call me an idiot!" Toadette puffed as she placed her hands on her hips angrily.
Funky Kong pulled up on his Flame Runner bike, pointing back as he faced Toadette and Petey. "I wouldn't question the bone lizard, dudes! Those ChuChu critters are bad news!" He then took off, taking advantage of his huge speed stat.
Toadette and Petey looked at each other oddly as they felt the ground shake, turning around and screaming as they could see a horde of different colored ChuChu mice coming towards them, with the pipsqueak rats in turn being chased by stomping cats that were big (for you) and orange. Toadette spun her pink mushroom bead pigtails and twirled into the air, with Petey flapping his leaves like they were wings as they narrowly avoided being flattened by the ChuChu mice and cats, with a ChuChu rocket spiraling out of control just past them.
"I guess those two weren't fooling around!" Toadette exclaimed as she noticed more ChuChu mice and cats were coming out of the wazoo.
Petey nodded his big red head in agreement while continuing to flap his leaves. "Yeah. They may not seem like it, but those two do care about us after all... especially that bonehead, Dry Bowser."
Toadette and Petey then flew towards the direction that Dry Bowser and Funky took off in, which was also the direction the ChuChu mice were scurrying towards, followed by the stomping big cats.
