Chapter 14: Dinner With The Wesleys

I wake up in a strangers house. I should be panicked but there's something about the way this house that makes me feel safe. Maybe it's the warm colored paint on the walls. Maybe it's the fact that it's slightly messy. Maybe it's how the air feels warm and smells of chicken soup. Probably due to the bowl of chicken soup sitting on the table across from me. Mmm. Chicken soup.

I reach forward and grab the bowl. There's a sticky note stuck to the side of it. It tells me to eat up and then has a dash and the name Austin. I rack my brain trying to place who Austin is. He must be the guy who rescued me from that freezing pond while I was drunk on memories. Drunk on memories. That'd be a good band name. (AN: If you're starting a band and that sticks out to you then take it! It'd be cool to see a band become famous named after a quote from one of my fics!)

I start sipping hot soup when someone enters the room that I'm in. It's a woman who looks to be in her late forties. I guess she's Austin's mom.

"Oh good! You're awake! And drinking your soup! Good girl! Austin said he found you in a pond. What were you doing in there? Were you drinking? How old are you?" she asks. I like this woman, she's caring for me, a random stranger that her son pulled out of a pond. I could be axe murderer for all she knows but she's still feeding me chicken soup and nagging me in that protective, motherly way.

"I fell in and I was not drinking. I was drunk on memories as crazy as it sounds. And I'm 17." I say. She doesn't question what I mean by drunk on memories. Just accepts it. I'm very thankful for that.

"What's your name? Where do you live? How did you get at the forest? Did you drive there? Do you have your own car? Your phone is soaking in rice right now. Who should I call?" she asks so fast I can hardly understand what she's saying.

"My name is Beatrice Prior but I go by Tris. I live on 334 Terrier lane. I drove there with my own car and you should call (AN: Insert Tori's phone number.)." I gave the woman Tori's number because Tori's probably the only person at home who's worried sick about me. I'm sure Caleb nor my parents have noticed I was gone.

The woman reminds me of Molly Weasley. Both look wise and it seems like something Molly would do, taking a random stranger in, that is. And this food is absolutely sublime.

She leaves the room to call Tori. I sit alone for a few minutes. She comes back in with a slight frown upon her face.

"No one picked up. Is there anyone else I should call?" If I wasn't overwhelmed by sadness that the last family figure in my life hadn't picked up the phone when I needed her most maybe I might have said to call Paris or Christina. Maybe even Four. But Tori not picking up was too hard of a blow.

"No. Did Austin see any keys in my pockets when you found me?" I ask. The woman nods. She seems sad for me. I guess it is sort of sad for your son to find a girl in a lake, have her taken back to your house, call the number she gives you, have no one pick up and then have her tell you that there's no one else to call.

"Would you like to stay for dinner?" The woman asks just as I get up. I shrug.

"Not like I have anything better to do."

The dinner is chicken and mashed potatoes. While I'm used to having chicks for dinner this chicken is much better than the one I'm used to. Perhaps it's because the woman actually seasons it whereas ever night at my house it's the same old plain chicken with plain old peas. I hate peas.

"I'm Mrs. Westley, just in case you were wondering. But you can call me Molly if you like." she says. Molly Wesley. Now all she needs is a husband fascinated by strange objects, six sons and one daughter.

Austin walks into the dining room and takes the seat across from me so he is next to his mom. He looks at her with curiosity and she gives a look as if to say "Be nice!". Of course she does, she's Molly Wesley, after all.

We eat in an awkward silence. Seriously, there is no noise. No cars or anything on the street. They don't have a pet as far as I know so no dog barking loudly. Austin might have siblings but they're either not home or being very quiet.

As I'm finishing my mashed potatoes the front door opens. A man who I'm assuming to be Mr. Wesley walks in along with four boys behind him. Oh my god. It is the Weasley's! Minus two. Still.

They all walk over to the dining room table with smiles on their faces.

"Molly! Hello darling! Hello Austin! Hello-" Mr. Wesley trails off when he gets to me suddenly realizing he has no clue who I am.

"Is this Austin's girlfriend that he always talks about?" One of the boys says. I blush.

"No, Austin found her in the lake. I invited her to stay for dinner." Ms. Wesley says. One boy rushes forwards.

"Hi! I'm Chip! I'm Austin's older brother! And you are?" he asks in a very flirtatious manner. I blush again.

"Chip! Don't mind him, I'm his older and more attractive brother, Ross!" Ross says in exactly the same way.

"I'm Tris." I say. Ross takes my hand and kisses it. And yet again I blush.

"No I'm older! Mom?" I guess Chip and Ross are twins.

"Arty, do you remember who was born first?" Molly says looking at her husband. (AN: I'm having way too much fun with this.)

"Not at all, dear." Arty responds.

The tallest boy rolls his eyes. He the steps forwards and extends his hand. I shake it.

"I'm Ethan, pleased to meet you." he smiles but not in the flirtatious way Ross and Chip did. I nod my head at him. The last boy steps forward just as another boy comes in through the front door.

"Mom! Daisy's kissing a boy on the porch!" I see Ross and Chip grin mischievously at each other before looking at their mom. Molly sighs.

"Ross, Chip, go." The two are gone before you could say mischief.

"Hello, I'm the second oldest, Hector." Then the last of the Wesley boys steps forward. This is the one who just walked through the door.

"I'm John."

The girl who I'm assuming to be Daisy the walks through the door looking furious.

"Mom! Ross and Chip scared away my boyfriend!" This family is definitely the Weasley's.

Daisy then realizes I'm there and extends her hand.

"I'm Daisy, the youngest." she says. I smile.

"Tris."

The dinner and dessert is over. Molly drives me out to where my car is and I thank her for the meal. As she drives away I realize that I hope to see the Wesley's again. I get in my car and start on the drive home.

I loved that chapter.

I just posted a new story! A new story for a new fandom! Well, The Harry Potter fandom isn't new but for my writing it is. I'm super excited! It's about one of my three OTPs and I only have the prologue up right but I'm still super excited! It's slash though so don't read if you don't support gay rights. Yeah, you don't have to read it, I'm not forcing you to, I'm just stating how much I love it.

Anyways. Yeah. This chapter is dedicated to Driftingawayfromreality. Yay!

QOTD: Have you written a story for your OTP?

My answer: Just told you.

260 reviews please?! You went above and beyond what I asked for last time, let's see if you can do it again!
