It's been a month since the three pesky cheerleaders first sat at our table. I have grown a little fond of Piper and Silena, though the latter can be quite annoying when she decides that she will set me up with Four. Drew, however, is a different story.

I cannot stand her. She's constantly flipping her hair in my face, and doing that annoying pouty face when Four gives attention to anyone but her. She likes to sit in between Four and me, which is infuriating. And though she acts decent around me while in Four's presence, when he isn't there she harasses me physically and verbally.

I approach my table and am no longer surprised to see the witch fawning over Four. I go to sit on the other end of the table with Lynn, Piper, and Silena. The two cheerleaders are whispering something to each other but stop when I arrive next to them. I almost groan aloud. Not this again.

Lynn gives me a look that signals that she has a similar opinion on the matter. The second I set my tray down on the table Christina is standing up and Silena is already at Drew's side. Christina taps Four's shoulder and starts talking to him about gods-know-what which earns her a glare from Drew. Drew is just about to object loudly and regain Four's attention when something spills on her.

Everyone in the cafeteria turns to face the two black-haired cheerleaders as Drew lets out the loudest shriek I have ever heard. Her lunch is spilled all down her front courtesy of Silena.

I can't help it; I start laughing. Slowly other people start to join in with me until almost everyone in the cafeteria is laughing. This does not seem to please Drew The Shrew and she storms out shouting cuss words at us all. Now everyone who wasn't laughing before is cracking up now. Piper, Christina, Lynn, and Uriah approach Silena and try to carry her around like she's a war hero or something.

I take my rightful spot next to Four. Both of us are still laughing.

"Did you see her face?!" I shout over all the commotion in the cafeteria. He nods frantically.

"Yeah, she was so shocked! I can't believe Silena did that," he shouts back. We start to lean on each other for support due to our extreme fit of laughter.

Someone apparently decides that there isn't enough commotion already and throws food at their friend. Said friend then throws food at someone else and so on. Before long we're all throwing food at each other and laughing because we all look the same as Drew did when she threw a fit.

I slip on what looks to be meatloaf but one can never be sure with the food here. I brace myself for a face-full of dirty, gross cafeteria floor with a side of supposedly food but it never hits me. It takes me about a full minute to realize that I am being suspended in air and about ten more seconds to think to look up at who caught me.

Four's face is inches above mine, his arms wrapped around my waist. I let out a long sigh and it mingles with his even breaths. Everything in me is screaming to drape my arms upon his shoulders, or to tangle my hands in his hair. I want to get nearer to him. I want more than just this touch.

"Tris?" It's just the faintest whisper in his breath but it clears my head and takes those cravings away. I shake my head just the slightest bit before regaining my balance on my own two feet. I step back out of his arms' embrace. I grin, hoping to cover up those few seconds when reality drifted too far away.

"Bye," I say with a mischievous edge to my voice. I grab the nearest food item and hurl it at him before he has any chance to react. I then start running for my life, cackling the whole way.

I dodge mashed potatoes, meatloaf, gravy, you name it. I jump out of the way of other people sprinting with food in their hands. I slide under a table like in those spy movies, no doubt looking awesome to the max. At one point I almost trip over someone who fell due to an apple to the face but I somehow hurtle over them as well.

Eventually I am no longer in the cafeteria but running down the hallways, making far too much noise and causing way too big of a mess. I could get in serious trouble for this but I don't care. I must escape the clutches of Four.

I turn back around, slowing my pace so that if I collide with something it wouldn't be too bad. It appears I made the wrong decision there because just then Four leaps towards me and tackles me to the ground.

For the second time that period our faces are far too close yet also too far for my liking. Four leans his head downwards a little so his mouth is parallel with my ear.

"Gotcha," he whispers, sending shivers down my spine. In my defense having wind blowing into my ear in general is enough to make me shiver. But I guess there are different reasons for that shiver as well.

"Oh no," I put emphasis on both words, making them sound staccato. Then my face is tilted with me registering it. Our eyes close as if we were ready to sleep for the next thousand years. And our lips are but a hair apart and-

"Detention!" I instinctively shove Four off me and jump up. Staring across from me is Jeanine Matthews, my evil science teacher who could define just about every word in the dictionary. She has this thing against all humans who think creatively and not scientifically. She also does not like public display of affection.

Wait, were we really publicly displaying affection?

Oh my gods. We were.

Ms. Matthews gives us a long lecture on how it's not okay to be so loud, so messy, and so physically close in school. I tune out every single word of it. Four looks like he's hanging on to each sentence, each syllable, each sound. I hope I look like I'm listening.

She dismisses us with a command to spend an hour with her after school. I usually would groan but I'm currently too busy trying to shake off the electric feeling I got earlier. Why am I being so corny about this? I'm the person who helps people fall in love, not the person who falls in love.

I leave Four without a word and grab my stuff before making my way over to math. It's probably best if I spend some time away from him right now.

Okay, so that was originally longer but then I cut it into two shorter chapters. So. Yeah. Hello. It's been a while. And this was published on the 21st, so not exactly before the movie. Whatever.

Anyways, I don't really have much else to say. I could list excuse after excuse of why I haven't been writing much lately but I don't really feel like it and I doubt any of you guys really care... So.

QOTD: What have you been up to lately?

My answer: I've mostly been on Instagram. Yeah.
