It's almost springtime, and the buds on the trees are bursting into flower. Vivid reds, delicate blues, sunshine yellows, palest of pinks. Ever so gently, a single petal detaches itself from a flower, soaring up, up, lifted by the cool breeze. Then it falls away from the slipstream, and ever-so-gently flutters down onto the surface of a dark river, leaving a single spot of crimson floating on the unmoving water.
Sorry for the ridiculously long break, schoolwork has officially taken over. There will be more drabbles before I continue DOTN - no, it's not finished yet! - as I can just fit them in between studying.
As always, have a great day!
Maplestrike :)
