Chapter 30: Things Go Back To 'Normal'
~Emi's Room~
"Well, I want to thank Kamui for standing up for me the other day but I don't know how…" Emi explained awkwardly.
"Erm, you could just go hang out with him I guess…" Misaki suggested smiling.
"That doesn't seem like big enough of a thanks…" Emi muttered sadly.
"Well, to you it may not be, but to him it might be! Plus, what makes you think he wouldn't want to hang out with his crush exclusively huh?" Misaki teased Emi slightly, making her blush.
"Yeah, I guess you're right…" Emi thought about it, trying to fight down the burning in her cheeks.
"Well, if that's it, then I want to go to sleep now, alright?" Misaki smiled warmly.
"Em, yeah I guess. Thanks Misaki!" Emi smiled as Misaki left the room.
~Aichi's Room~
Aichi laid down on his bed and started thinking. Was that too rash? She sounded like she was hinting for me to do something. Was that the right thing to do? Even though we're 'together' now, I can't help but feel awkward! What if she was hinting at me to do something, but not that?
Aichi tossed and turned for a couple of minutes before Misaki came back in.
"Eh, what did Emi want your help with? Aichi asked as he sat up on his mattress.
"Oh, she just wanted to thank Kamui for standing up for her the other day, so I told her she should just hang out with him." Misaki replied with a warm smile.
She is so beautiful when she smiles… Aichi thought to himself and started blushing unconsciously.
"Erm, are you okay Aichi, you're getting red around the cheeks." Misaki cocked an eyebrow at him, still smiling a little.
"Erm, yeah I'm fine!" Aichi managed a small smile, unable to look away from Misaki.
"Haha, well if you say so!" Misaki continued smiling as she climbed into bed.
Man, she's just so cool about it right now! Is she trying not to make things awkward? Or does she want me to bring it up first? What should I do? Aichi thought in mild frustration.
Is he going to bring it up? Or is he waiting for me to? Or does he think that I'm trying to ignore it? What should I do? Misaki fumed silently in her bed.
Well, let's just talk about it! They both thought in unison as they both opened their mouths to speak.
"Hey, Misaki" "Hey, Aichi."
"Erm, yeah, what is it?" "Erm, yeah, what is it?"
"Er, you go first!" "Er, you go first!"
"Erm…" Aichi mumbled awkwardly as he tried to stop talking.
"Eh…" Misaki mumbled awkwardly as well.
"Erm, you go first Misaki." Aichi started again softly.
"No, it's okay. You go first Aichi." Misaki kindly rejected.
"Erm, well I don't really have anything to say actually." Aichi admitted as he decided not to bring it up.
"Yeah, well, I guess I don't really have anything to say either." Misaki backed down as well, deciding against bringing that up.
As they both turned away from each other, they laid blushing red in bed.
~Aichi's Room, The next morning~
A soft breeze blew into the room and blew the curtains slightly apart. The slightly parted curtains let a streak of sunlight shine brightly through.
"Ah…" Aichi groaned softly as the sunlight shone right on to his eyes. Rubbing his eyes lightly and getting up slowly, he saw that Misaki was already up and had left the room.
She's up early today.. Aichi thought as he rubbed the last of his fatigue out of his eyes.
~Bathroom, At the exact same time~
"Ah.." Misaki let out a breath of air as cold water washed over her. Turning pup the temperature a bit, she settled into a refreshing warm bath.
Knock, knock, knock. Misaki could her some knocks on the door.
"Er, who is it?" Misaki called out as she grabbed her towel and wrapped herself up quickly.
"It's Emi!" Emi's muffled voice came back through the door.
"Oh, what is it Emi?" Misaki asked again as she stepped out of the shower booth.
"Erm, can you just tell me if I look nice?" Emi's muffled voice came back softer than before.
"Oh… Okay!" Misaki answered and poked her head out of the toilet.
Emi was in her usual pink outfit, but with her hair tied into a ponytail.
"Aw, Emi, you look adorable! Kamui would like what you did to your hair! You could also ask Aichi for a second opinion." Misaki complimented her as she slowly withdrew back into the bathroom.
"Thanks Misaki! Nah, Aichi always sleeps in, I don't want to disturb him. See ya!" Emi beamed as she raced down the stairs and out of the house.
~Aichi's Room~
Aichi yawned and stretched one last time before crawling out of 'bed'.
"What time is it?" Aichi wondered as he turned to his alarm clock.
The hour hand was pointing between 10 and 11, while the minute hand was already pointing at 10.
"Whoa! I slept in today!" Aichi rushed for his clothing and raced to the toilet.
~Corridor~
Aichi ran straight to the bathroom with his clothes in one hand, and his towel in the other.
BANG!
Aichi fell back as the door didn't budge when he held out his 'towel' hand to push it open.
"Ow…" Aichi groaned as the door opened slightly.
Misaki poked her head out to see Aichi sprawled on the ground.
"Aichi! What happened?" Misaki gushed as she ran out, wrapped in her towel, squatting beside him.
"Er… I didn't think anyone was in there. Ouch…" Aichi mumbled as he rubbed his throbbing forehead.
"Oh… Well, couldn't you knock first?" Misaki raised an eyebrow as she helped him up.
"Well I thought you were having breakfast already, and Emi has a tendency to leave the bathroom door closed after she uses it… So I thought no one was in there." Aichi sheepishly admitted as he took Misaki's hand.
Just as Misaki let go of her towel to help Aichi up, the towel slipped. Aichi reached out for the hand then paused, his mouth hanging wide open.
"What is it?" Misaki asked, then the absence of the towel on her made her quickly grab the towel and disappear back into the bathroom.
"I-I'm sorry Misaki!" Aichi called from the corridor, as he tried to forget what he just saw.
Misaki leaned against the door, sweaty and blushing. That was so embarrassing! Misaki mentally exclaimed in mild anger.
"Misaki, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to look!" Aichi continued apologizing from outside the bathroom.
"Just don't talk about it anymore!" Misaki poked her head out and barked.
"Er… Okay, I'm really, really sorry!" Aichi squeaked a little a bowed his head in slight fear.
"I know it's not your fault, but I accept your apology and let's just leave at that okay?" Misaki switched to a softer tone as she saw Aichi cower.
"Erm, I'll just let you finish up now…" Aichi mumbled and headed for his room.
Argh… I didn't mean to shout at Aichi like that… But it was so infuriatingly embarrassing! I have to clear it up with him later. I don't want him to think that I hate him… Misaki chided herself as she resumed her bath.
~Aichi's Room~
But was so stupid! I shouldn't have stared like that! Argh! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Misaki probably hates me now! And to think… Aichi thought depressingly as he buried his face in his hands.
The door opened slightly as Shizuka poked her head in to see her son sitting on the edge of the mattress, seemingly upset.
"Aichi, can I come in?" Shizuka asked as Aichi looked up.
"Erm, sure mom." Aichi replied, tone clearly suggesting his was distressed about something.
"What happened? I heard a crash from downstairs and I came up to check." Shizuka said softly as she sat beside her son.
"Well, I thought no one was in the bathroom so I ran into the door. Then, Misaki came out to help me up. But her towel dropped when she was helping me up and I think I really upset her…" Aichi replied, even softer then before.
"It was an accident wasn't it? I'm sure she won't blame you!" Shizuka petted her son's shoulder as she reassured him.
"But she sounded really mad just now." Aichi admitted, voice a bare whisper.
Just then, Misaki came into the room fully dressed with her towel over her shoulder.
"Erm, mom! What are you doing here?" Misaki stuttered as she saw Aichi suddenly cowering and Shizuka sitting beside him.
"I think you two have something to erm, clear up, so I'll be downstairs with breakfast." Shizuka said as she got up and left the room.
Aichi turned away from Misaki, too ashamed to face. Misaki sat down beside Aichi and took a breath.
"Aichi, I'm sorry for shouting at you just now." Misaki spoke softly.
"I'm sorry for staring." Aichi whispered softly, not daring to turn and face Misaki.
"I didn't mean to shout at you just now. I was just overwhelmed by embarrassment." Misaki admitted sheepishly.
"Oh… Okay… But I'm still sorry for staring, that was wrong." Aichi mumbled under his breath.
"Well,let's just forget about it okay? We're both sorry and let's leave it at that." Misaki said wanting to resolve the issue.
"Okay. Sure." Aichi turned to face Misaki at last.
"Let's go downstairs for breakfast!" Misaki smiled then Aichi blushed brightly.
"Erm, I haven't bathed yet…" Aichi shrugged and Misaki giggled.
"Okay, then see you downstairs!" Misaki walked out of the room.
I was so sure she would hate me. But I guess Misaki is just that understanding huh? Aichi thought in bliss as he went to bathe.
A/N: And that concludes chapter 30! Hopefully this chapter hasn't been too straight-forward or direct, I wanted to add some tension between them…. And yeah horrible chapter. I'm sorry guys, but it's harder to continue the story without too much time to work on this and I'm not in the best writing(typing) condition right now too. So hopefully the next chapter is better and see you guys next time! Wow, that's a short note… Erm now to DooMKrusader's Chit-chat.

Aichi: Oh why did you do that to me? I feel horrible…
Misaki: I told you, it's alright Aichi!
Me: Oh come on. I said I'm sorry too. Besides, what's a relationship without tension like this? A lame fairy tale kind…
Aichi: That's kinda stereotypical…
Me: Okay sorry.
Suiko: Hey! When are you going to finish this and start the sequel?
Me: I'm barely even halfway through the story! I'll try to get some oneshots if that makes you happy. Jeez.
Suiko: Like you had the time anyway. *rolls eyes*
Me: H-hey!
Shingo: Hey then what about me?
Me: Oh c'mon! Really? Next thing you know Kourin's gonna make me break Aichi and Misaki up and put Aichi and her together…
Kourin: You read my mind!
Aichi: What?! How did you-
Kourin: I'm not supposed to 'know' about it in the Fic, but we aren't in it now are we? *wink*
Misaki: Hey all's fair in love and war! You gotta try to win him at least!
Kourin: You keep saying that princess! When I do win his heart fair and square, don't regret challenging me!
Me: No Kourin. Don't try to break true love apart…
Kourin: Oh… So I don't love Aichi?
Me: No! But-
Suiko: My oneshot better be up soon!
Shingo Mine too!
Kourin: Hey! Irrelevant!
Me: Okay oneshots are on their way and I'm ending this session here! Bye!
Kai: I'm not even going to ask…
Me: Oh I'm saying bye already!
Kai: ...
