Chapter 32: New Vanguard Warriors
~Planet Cray, High Towers~
"Blades of Courage, Aichi" Aichi called out as he materialized in the High Towers.
"Battle Mage of Compassion, Misaki!" Misaki called out and materialized to the right of Aichi.
"Knight of Deceit and Betrayal, Ren!" Ren called out and materialized beside Misaki.
"Angelic Bermuda Idol, Emi!" Emi called out and materialized on Aichi's left side. With a staff-cum-mic in on hand, Emi donned a pink flowery dress and a ruby-encrusted tiara on her head with her legs turned into a mermaid's tail, and a 'trail' of glitter by her tail. (It's not your technically a trail because Emi isn't moving so it will be a trail when she starts moving)
"Mech-Warrior Fighter, Kamui!" Kamui called out and materialized beside Emi. In a light mech suit, Kamui stood slightly taller than he originally was. The arms of the mech suit were fairly small, lightweight and not too difficult for Kamui to control. His mech suit boots had boosters in the sole to allow for short duration of flights, like REALLY short duration, or could allow for high or far jumps, depending on which he needed, and the legs of the mech suit also had shock absorbers for whenever Kamui might need to jump high.
"Dragon Knight of Eternal Flame, Kai!" Kai called out, materializing beside Kamui. Wielding a long sword with a dragon's face hilt and a dragon carving coiled around the blade in one hand and a shield with the insignia of a dragon's face on the other, Kai donned some heavy armour, with a dragon-head shaped helmet and a full body armour of dragon scale-like platings.
"Fearless Beast Warrior, Kourin!" Kourin called out materialized beside Kai. With dual claw like blades jutting out of each gauntlet, Kourin donned a light body armour (something like the King of Knights Alfred costume she wore during an episode of season three, Link Joker) mostly light blue or turquoise coloured.
"Where… Where are we?" Kourin asked as she brought up her claw-gauntlets and nearly cut Kai.
"Hey watch it!" Kai shouted as he instinctively brought up his shield.
Clang! The metals crashed and everyone turned to face them.
"Aichi, where are we?" Emi repeated Kourin's question once more.
"Cray. Specifically the High Towers." Aichi said as he looked around.
The once messy room was now neat and tidy and a lone shadowy figure was in a corner of the room. Aichi brought his finger to his lips to signal everyone to quiet down and they did. As Aichi slowly made his way to the figure, Emi accidentally knocked down a stack of books with her swishing tail.
CRASH! The stack of docks came tumbling down as the figure turned towards them.
Oh no. Aichi thought as he saw the figure turning around. Having lost his element of surprise, Aichi decided to charge forward as fast as he could to act as a meat shield in case the figure turned and attacked his group.
"Who-?" was all the figure could manage before Aichi crashed right in to her and knocked her on to the ground.
"Ow…" The female groaned as Aichi got up and dusted himself off.
"What? You're still here Edin? Drop the form now!" Aichi commanded when he saw Sharon on the ground.
"Wh-who? Edin? Who's that?" Sharon asked shakily as she sat up on the floor.
"Drop it Edin!" Misaki echoed as she stood closer to Aichi, with Ren standing to her right, forming a triangle.
"I don't know what you guys are talking about!" Sharon protested as she got up to her feet.
"Not so fast!" Aichi growled a little squeakily as he brought his blade up to her neck, "One false move and you'll get it."
"What's going on? First the entire place is a mess when I get back and now some crazy guy is trying to kill me? Gosh how bad can these days get? And now I've got to re-stack that stack of books your mermaid friend knocked down! And I still haven't found that spell book yet!" Sharon groaned, frustrated by the events of the days so far.
"I'm sorry." Emi apologised softly as she looked to the ground in shame.
"Argh… It's alright. I'm just antsy that's all." Sharon lightened her expression and tried to smile at Emi.
"Hey, I don't think that's Edin guys." Ren started as he noticed the lack of an evil gleam in her eyes.
"YEAH! That's what I've been trying to say from the beginning! I'm not this Edin person!" Sharon shouted defensively as she sulked over to the pile of books Emi knocked down and started re-stacking them.
"Well, we had to be sure. I'm sorry. I-I'm Aichi, by the way." Aichi introduced himself.
"And this is Misaki, Ren, Kai, Emi, Kamui and Kourin." Aichi pointed at each of his friends as he pointed to each of them.
"Yeah alright. Cool. Now please leave while I sort the rest of the books and try to find that spell book I was looking for." Sharon shooed them away.
"Erm, what kind of a spell book was it?" Misaki asked as everyone started to leave.
"Oh you know, a book containing some SPELLS! Some VERY dangerous spells!" Sharon growled frustratedly as she knocked over her half stack of books she was re-stacking.
"Okay… We'll get out of your face now." Aichi said sheepishly.
"Grr… With all the crazy things going on, I swear someone broke in and stole that spell book. That WOULD explain all the crazy things going on." Sharon ranted to herself, rather loudly.
"Wait, what crazy things are you talking about?" Ren asked, beating Aichi to the question.
"I THOUGHT you said you were LEAVING already!" Sharon shouted exasperatedly as she knocked over another stack of books, flailing her arms.
"Sheesh. We'll leave." Kai said nonchalantly as he made his way to the exit, or where he thought was the exit.
"Er, Kai, exit's that way." Aichi called out to Kai as Aichi led everyone to the lift.
~Planet Cray, RP Main Square~
"Where is everyone?" Aichi muttered to himself as the group walked towards the empty square.
"Those dark clouds in the sky might explain a lot." Misaki pointed, as they noticed the dark sky for the first time since arriving in the High Towers.
"Hmm, something ominous is going on. I don't like the eerie silence." Ren thought out loud, just as a shout could be heard in the distance. A scream, rather, for help.
"Guys, what was that?" Kourin asked, genuinely creeped out by the silence followed by the sudden screaming.
"I think it was someone calling for help!" Kamui called out as he started running in the direction of the scream.
"Kamui wait up!" Aichi shouted as everyone started giving chase.
Of course, none of them could keep up or catch up to Kamui as he had his mech suit to help him. Kamui sprinted past buildings, alleys and boarded up homes. Then he finally came to a another square.
~Planet Cray, RP Army Parade Square~
Lying on the ground was a lone figure, surrounded by six other tall figures, all clad in dark purple armour. The six tall figures were taunting the lone lone figure on the ground.
"Hey, back off!" Kamui shouted, not sure what else he could do.
"Who-? Wait what's a Nova Grappler doing all the way here?" The tallest figure wondered.
"We don't have to know sir, but I think we should get rid of him too!" The figure to his right smirked darkly.
"Am I in charge or you Jackson?" The taller figure bellowed.
"Y-you sir. Sorry Rugos, sir." Jackson muttered.
"You'd better be! Now get him!" Rugos gave be order and the Jackson and the four other figures charged forward with their weapons.
"Hey what-?" Kamui shouted before the first weapon impacted and caused him to stumble backwards.
"You aren't strong are you?" Rugos laughed as he brought his blade down hard on Kamui.
Kamui raised his mech-arm and blocked the blade. Sparks flew as metal collided into metal and Kamui stumbled another few steps back. The other four successively lashed out at Kamui. Blocking three hits and narrowly dodging the last hit, he brought his mech-fists up, trying to ready himself to fight back.
Just then, Aichi and the rest of the group finally caught up.
"Damn it! Why are there Bermuda Triangle, Kagero and Oracle Think Tank clan members here?" Rugos swore before deciding on the best course of action.
"Retreat dammit!" Rugos shouted and a staff wielding mage casted a teleportation spell that caused all six individuals to disappear.
"Hey, are you alright?" Kamui got beside the person lying on the ground.
"Akane!" Aichi shouted and ran beside her as Kamui turned her face around.
Akane's limp and weak body hung me Kamui huge mech-arms.
"Oh no…" Misaki gasped as she saw Akane's face.
"You know her?" Kamui asked as Aichi check for breathing and pulse.
"She's alive, but I don't know if she'll wake up from this." Aichi withdrew his hand from her wrist shakily.
"Akane, wake please." Misaki knelt down beside and clasped her staff tightly.
Then, a field of white light emerged from the staff surrounding Akane's weak form.
"J-jonathan is…" Akane gasped weakly as the white light lifted off her.
"Jonathan is?" Aichi asked her, but Akane has lost consciousness once again.
Lightning streaked across the sky as Ren, Kai, Emi and Kourin stood around Aichi, Misaki, Kamui and Akane. A loud clap of thunder added to the ominous atmosphere the gang found themselves in…
A/N: Okay… I know… I took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long to put this chapter up, but I really forgot what I was going to write. So that's a tip for all you other writers out there, make notes or plans for your chapters and stuffs. Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this rather short chapter. Apologies for not having much action in this chapter, but filler chapters like this are needed to carry on with the Fic. I'm so sorry for not posting in such a long time and I apologise in advance as I don't think I will be posting too many chapters this leading up to October. But expect more after October cos that is when my final year paper would have ended and I will have more time to write, so for now I'll post chapters a lot less often than I normally do cos I need to focus on my studies. I hope you guys understand and won't stop supporting this Fic cos reading all of your reviews really make my day (unless the review is stupid), even criticism is welcome because I'm not perfect so I'm bound to have made errors, so just point them out to me. I think I'll end the Author's Note here and move on to CFVG Get Together!

Aichi: Hey readers, it's been a while huh?
Kai: I can't believe I'm actually gonna do this.
Akari: C'mon Kai! You promised me!
Kai: Alright alright… Hey readers, it's been a while huh?
Aichi: Hey I just said that!
Akari: Oh, I'm sorry Aichi I didn't realise you were there!
Misaki: Really Akari? Wow…
Akari: What? I finally managed to make Kai do this! I guess I was too engrossed with making sure he kept his promise… Heh heh…
Kamui: I don't get what's the big deal. I mean it's just saying 'hi' to the readers. Will it kill you Kai?
Emi: Kamui!
Kamui: What? I'm serious is it that difficult to say 'hi' to the readers?
Kai: Alright I'm out. I said what I had to so let's go Akari.
Akari: For ice cream? You promised!
Kai: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's go already.
Aichi: Hey I want some ice cream too! Wanna, erm, go get some Misaki?
Misaki: Sure let's go!
Emi: Hey let's go get ice cream too!
Kamui: Must we?
Emi: C'mon if you don't want to go to the same ice cream parlor as Kai we'll jus grab some ice cream from another parlor!
Kamui: Alright fine let's go…
Emi: Heehee!
Me: Man… I want ice cream too… Oh by the way, Happy Valentines Day…
Morikawa: PLEASE KOURIN-CHAN PLEASE!
Kourin: NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!
Me: Woah what-?
Kourin: Where's Aichi?
Me: Erm…
Kourin: He's with Misaki again isn't he?
Morikawa: So why can't you just go out with me just this one time! Please Kourin-chan this will be the last time I'll ever bug you!
Kourin: The last time? Fine! Let's get this over and done with…
Me: What the heck just…
Miwa: Hey Jo, no plans for ?
Me: Oh Miwa… Haha I wish…
Miwa: Well, wanna play a couple of rounds?
Me: Yeah sure! Well bye readers! see you next time!
