A/N: Okay, before I start the chapter. Blaster Blade, or currently named Jonathan, shall be renamed to Raito. And Blaster Dark shall be renamed to Kage. Because Jonathan and Michael are really out-of-place names in this series, I feel. Anyways, this Fic is probably going to be slightly different from what I had originally intended, but I guess that's because I didn't really plan this. But I'm back, and I hope I can continue to write something you guys will enjoy reading. Anyways, on to the chapter.

Chapter 35: Reconsolidation

~Planet Cray, Outside Royal Beacon~

"So what do you think is going to happen now?" Misaki thought out loud.

"What do you mean, Misaki?" Aichi clarified.

"Well, we got here in time to stop whatever was going on, right?" Misaki answered.

"We thwarted someone's plan involving Akane, so you're saying we may become targets ourselves?" Kai nodded.

"Yeah…" Misaki affirmed.

"But won't we be fine once we go back to our world?" Emi spoke up.

An awkward silence ensued…

"You-You've got a point Emi…" Misaki blushed a little.

"But it doesn't mean that Raito, Akane and everyone else will be safe…" Aichi mused aloud.

"Do we really have to bother about them though?" Kai folded his arms.

"You gotta be kidding right, Kai?" Kamui blinked in surprise.

"No, I'm serious. Should we really be involving ourselves in this fight?" Kai stared down Kamui.

"You don't have to fight if you're afraid, y'know." Kourin smirked.

"Kai has a point." Ren spoke up.

"You don't have to fight either." Kourin huffed.

"Think about it. Should we really upset the balance of this world by fighting? We don't actually belong here, even if we can exist here." Ren spoke somewhat sinisterly.

"But if that's the case, haven't we already disrupted that balance already?" Aichi asked.

Another silence ensued…

"Big Bro's got a point… If fighting disrupts the balance, then haven't we already disrupted the balance?" Kamui broke the silence.

"I guess that is true…" Ren nodded.

"So shouldn't we stop making the situation worse?" Kai deadpanned.

"That is also true…" Ren nodded some more.

"Like I said, if you're scared, you don't have to fight!" Kourin puffed.

"Look Kourin, don't act as if you aren't the slightest bit afraid." Misaki glowered at Kourin.

"Pah! Me? Scared? Yeah right." Kourin growled a little at Misaki.

~Planet Cray, Royal Beacon~

"Things sound pretty heated outside huh." Akane mumbled in Raito's arms.

"Yeah, I think I'd better go try calm things down." Raito got up.

"I'll come with!" Akane smiled cheerily.

"Sure." Raito smiled back.

~Planet Cray, Outside Royal Beacon~

"Everyone." Raito said as soon as he stepped outside.

"Raito." Everyone acknowledged Raito.

"It's true that your 'interference' has upset the balance of this world." Raito said.

"So we should stop interfering." Kai concluded.

"No. At this point in time, an upset in balance is what needs to happen. We need to beat the Shadow Paladins once and for all." Raito spoke with authority.

"Are you sure?" Aichi asked skeptically.

"No, not at all." Raito shook his head.

"Hold on! What?" Kourin flinched.

"So what will it be, Raito? Should we fight alongside you, or leave you to fight your battles yourself?" Ren asked.

"Your help would be great. But how the balance of this world will be affected is uncertain." Raito sighed a little.

"So let's just decide on things we can be certain about first. We'll fight with you, Raito." Aichi spoke up.

"Aichi, are you sure? You could very well die." Raito expressed his concern.

"Yeah, after all, it wouldn't be right to leave friends behind when they need help. And when we figure what kind of upset to the balance we have brought to this world, we'll help and make it right as well." Aichi said firmly.

"Alright, I'm in." Kai shrugged.

"Me too." Ren nodded.

"If Big Bro is going to fight, I want to fight alongside Big Bro too!" Kamui proclaimed.

"I'll fight as well." Misaki smiled a little.

"I guess I can try?" Emi smiled nervously.

"Hold on! Weren't you two bent on not fighting just a moment ago?" Kourin scoffed at Kai and Ren.

"No, we, or at least I, wanted to be sure Aichi wanted to fight to the very end." Kai said.

"Yeah, we wanted to be sure." Ren smirked.

"And what about you, Kourin?" Aichi smiled.

"O-Of course I'll fight!" Kourin blushed a little.

"Well it's settled, I guess! We'll all fight for you, Raito!" Aichi smiled and nodded at Raito.

"With me. Us." Raito gave everyone a grateful smile.

"I've got to finish up some things, so you guys go on ahead. I'll join you guys at headquarters when I'm done." Akane spoke up.

"No, I'll wait for you. I can't risk anything happening to you again." Raito shook his head.

"And who'll permit them into headquarters? Also, don't you need to be there now?" Akane raised an eyebrow.

"I'll be fine, Raito! If anything happens, you guys will just save me again!" Akane smiled reassuringly.

"No, I'm not leaving until you're done, Akane." Raito was adamant about staying.

"Figured you'd still be here." A voice emanated from somewhere.

"Gallatin? What're you doing here?" Raito seemed pretty surprised.

"Looking for you. You're needed back at headquarters. I'll take care of Akane." Gallatin smiled.

"See? Get back to headquarters already! Gallatin's here now so I'll be fine!" Akane smiled.

"Alright, but bring her to headquarters as soon as she's done, alright?" Raito asked Gallatin.

"Is that an order? Sure thing, Raito. I'll keep her safe." Gallatin chuckled a little.

"Thanks." Raito led the gang towards headquarters.

A/N: So… This is somewhat a filler for me to get my bearings back. I'll probably need to go back and watch the anime soon, so bear with me while I try to get back my bearings of the CFVG universe! Anyways, I will be continuing this, so look forward to more updates. The chapters will also hopefully get longer once I get my bearings back, so look forward to that! Anyways, I'll see you guys in the next chapter!

Aichi: I guess it can't be helped that this is a filler, huh?

Kai: Yeah. After such a long time, I'm just glad to be back.

Kamui: You said it, Kai!

Kourin: Yeah…

Emi: It's been way too long!

Ren: We're going to have so much fun again!

Misaki: I think we've been away for too long to be doing this properly…

Aichi: I think we're fine! I mean…

Kai: Yeah, I think Misaki might be right…

Kourin: Oh come on!

Kamui: Erm, this really doesn't feel right…

Emi: Yeah…

Aichi: And the author isn't even here…

Misaki: I think we better call it a day right now.

Kai: Well, thanks for reading everyone. Maybe we'll be back next chapter after we've gotten our heads back in the game.
