I know that this chapter is shorter, but there's only so much you can do with dancing. I realize that some of you might be disappointed about how I wrote Lee as more of a playboy, but I just started writing about him and Cairo in chapter three or four and this is just how he turned out. I like to think that he's sort of like Oliver Queen before the island (in the show Arrow, which is SO good btw (also The Flash oh my godric)).

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, J K Rowling does, and I am not her, that's why this is fanfiction and not a legit book.

Fred's POV

My breath was caught in my throat as she descended the staircase. She was absolutely stunning.

"You're not breathing, mate," George whispered, gazing at his own date, who was pretty beautiful as well.

I took a gulp of air and smiled, pretending to be completely confident and not so blown away that I could barely speak.

"My fair lady," George grinned, bowing as low as he could in front of Jadyn. "I ask-eth thee hand in the action-eth of dancing-eth. Doth thou accept-eth my hand-eth?"

Jadyn laughed, and played along, giving a curtsy. "I accept-eth thine invitation-eth! Dance-eth we shall! . . . eth!"

The two walked, hand in hand, into the Great Hall, laughing joyfully. I watched them, pleased at their happiness. I then turned to Cairo, both of us standing awkwardly for a second.

I cleared my throat. "Shall we . . .?"

"Yeah," she said, taking my outstretched hand and allowing me to lead her into the Great Hall.

"You look beautiful," I blurted out finally, once we had sat down at a table with George and Jadyn. I decided to ignore their giggling and instead focus on Cairo's blushing face.

"You look exceptionally handsome yourself," Cairo replied, trying to hide her red cheeks from me.

"Oh, Fred, can you dance?" Jadyn asked me suddenly.

"Er, I think you're asking the wrong twin," I said in amusement.

"No, no, because Cairo's really good!" she explained, and Cairo began to have her hands and try to shush her friend. "She's been practicing for weeks, to impress y -"

Cairo had practically catapulted over and shoved her hands over Jadyn's mouth, grinning sheepishly at me. "Heh, she doesn't know what she's saying. Hey, look, time to dance! Let's go!"

As she dragged me onto the dancefloor, I could hear Jadyn saying to George, "See? She's been waiting for this moment her whole life."

I smirked. "Your whole life, huh?"

Cairo went bright red and muttered, "She's definitely exaggerating."

I wasn't sure what else to say, so we just danced in a sort of pleasant silence.

George's POV

"How long do you bet before they kiss?"

"Oh, come on, Georgie, I'm done betting," Jadyn sighed with a smile. "I'm afraid that Cairo will murder me if she finds out we're already betting how long it'll take for them to officially get together. "

"Fair enough," I grinned. Then I cried, "Oh, here they come! Shh!"

Fred and Cairo sat back down, both grinning from ear to ear. They had obviously had fun dancing. Jade and I had danced for a little while, but it really wasn't either of our thing.

"Did you see Hermione's date?" Cairo asked immediately. "Viktor Krum!"

Jadyn laughed. "'Nobody of consequence' my arse!"

"Hey! Fred! George!"

Fred and I exchanged glances when Lee Jordan had called out to us. Recently he had been more distant, hanging out with Angelina, Alicia, and Katie more now (well, more like flirting with them).

"How are you, Lee?" I asked, looking at him with a bit of suspicion.

He wasn't even looking at us, his eyes were fixed on Cairo. He let out a low whistle. "Maybe I shouldn't have broken up with her so soon . . ."

I smirked at Fred, who was glaring at Lee. "Well, you did. Who are you here with anyways? Angelina?"

"Alicia, though I might go find Katie after this . . ."

"Ugh, you really are a playboy, aren't you?" I asked in disgust.

"Whatever, I'm going to find Angelina for another dance."

"I thought you came with Alicia?"

"I did," Lee smirked, before running off. Fred and I exchanged disgusted glances.

"I guess we always knew he was a playboy," I said. "We just elected to ignore it."

"I guess so," Fred sighed. Then he turned to look back to the girls, who seemed to have finished gossiping about Hermione Granger and Viktor Krum. His eyes lingered over Cairo and I put a hand on his shoulder.

"You have it bad, Freddie."

"What?" he asked, forcing his gaze back to me.

"Congratulations, Fred, you're officially head over heels for our best friend," I said, patting his shoulder before going up to Cai and Jade, Fred quickly following after a moment of contemplation over what I had just said.

"Are either of you up for more dancing, or should we head back to the much quieter common room to chat?" Cairo asked when she noticed us.

"I think the common room would be best," I said. "It's been fun, but you can only dance for so long before it gets boring."
