I've been really busy and I have ideas but no time to write them I only have one chapter after this that's written and I'm thinking about ending it sooner. Sorry for taking long to update (also sorry if there's mistakes been editing rushed or not at all sorry)

Temari could see the Konoha gates; she hadn't seen Shikamaru in a month and a half. She wondered if he had actually broke-up with Kiyomi or not. He had missed him and she could wait to go to his apartment.

She was surprise to fine a Tenten at the gate instead of Shikamaru. "Hey Tenten," she said after showing her passport. "Hey Temari, upset I'm not Shikamaru." Tenten asked.

"What- no- why would I be." Temari and her made their way to the Hokages office. Tenten laughed, "Because you like him. Anyways, he's on a mission he should be back in 2 days."

They reached the Hokages office and went to talk to Tsunade, "Temari it's great to have you back," Tsunade said. "It great to be back Lady Hokage," Temari said handing over some papers, "Lord Kazekage sends these. "Thank you, here's your meeting schedule." Tsunade said handing her over a piece of paper. "Thank you Lady Hokage. Where will I be staying?" Temari asked looking at her packet schedule.

"Well, unfortunately your usual suite was given to the ambassador from Kumo. Since the other suite your usually given are also full, I was think of having you stay at a friend's. My first choice was Shikamaru but his away on a mission I'm sure he won't mind though but Tenten offered to let you stay at her while she prepares for a mission," Tsunade explain.

"I'll have to leave in a few days though but you can stay with me till I do," Tenten said. "Ohh… umm well I wouldn't want to intrude while you have to prepare for a mission. And since lazy ass- I mean Shikamaru isn't here I can stay there, I have no problem with that," Temari said casually.

"Ohh ok then, well that's all Temari your excused I have to talk to Tenten about her mission." Temari bowed and left.

"Damn… Well looks like you, Kiba and Naruto win," Tsunade said. Tenten smiled, "Told you she would chose to stay at Shikamaru's."

"I should have known now I'm out 15,000. Great, anyways escort Temari to Shikamaru's and get ready for you mission. That will be all," Tsunade said handing Tenten 5,000.

Tenten took Temari to Shikamaru's apartment to help her get settled in, after they walked around, went shopping and got some food.

"So did you know Shikamaru broke up with Kiyomi," Tenten said while they were eating. "How would I know that," she said. "Ohh I don't know thought something might have happened between you two again."

"Well…" Temari started. "I KNEW IT," Tenten said, "What happened between you two last time you were here?"

"Ok so when I was here we talk and we ended up hooking-up and now were friends with benefits for a lack of a better word," Temari said in a more hushed voice. "What so he's just hooking-up with you."

"Yea, it was my idea I'm not good at relationships and why complicate thing with relationships." Temari explained.

"Ok so that's why he broke up with Kiyomi," Temari nodded, "Well you two are perfect for each other and I hope all goes well between you two."

"Thanks, I have 5 days to be with him till I have to go back to Suna. But I'll be back with Gaara and Kankuro for the final stage of the exams" Temari said.

They finished eat and then Tenten was going to meet up with Neji for a date so she left Temari at the apartment. Temari decided to go to the shop to buy a special outfit for when Shikamaru got back. She didn't know if she should get it but she thought what the hell she was entitled to some fun for being stuck at meeting for most of her stay.

When she got back to the apartment she decided to go to sleep, she was tired from her trip.

The next day Temari woke up around 9 when Tenten went to pick her up. She had a meeting around 10; she quickly got ready and left with Tenten to the academy where the meeting was taking place.

"Where is she, the meeting was suppose to have start half an hour ago," the representative from Iwa said. "She should be here shortly Lady Hokage was working at the hospital she must have got tied up there," Shizune explained. Temari didn't really care what was going on she just want Tsunade to get there already so the meeting could get started and end soon.

A few minutes later Tsunade walked in, "Sorry for being late, Sakura was sent on a mission and Shizune was tied up here I was need for a poison case. Anyways let's get down to business the first and second stage of the exam are complete I'm sure all of you have read through the rooster of participants…"

The meeting dragged on for five hour Temari was ready to strangle herself. At the end of the meeting when she was getting ready to leave when Tsunade asked to have a word with her. "Yes, Lady Hokage."

"Temari just thought you should know that Shikamaru was rushed into the hospital earlier."

"What! What happened is he ok." She was worried about him he was her friend after all.

"Choji and Ino brought him in, seems like the he got stabbed in the arm with a poisoned kunai and ended up fracturing his wrist on his mission. None of the antidotes Ino had would work on him. Luckily they weren't that far from the village and rushed him in. I was able to neutralize the poison; he should be alright now though his wrist will have to stay bandaged for a few days while we heal it up just thought you should know being his friend and all," Tsunade stated as Temari listen careful.

"Thank you Lady Hokage," she said. "That will be all Temari have a good day," Tsunade said as Temari grabbed the rest of her stuff, "his in room 209... just saying." Temari nodded and Tsunade smiled it was time to start a new betting pool.

Temari rushed to the hospital, when she got closer she slowed down she didn't want to seem like she was in a rush. She walked in and when to the room, she stood outside the door for a while. She knocked, "come in."

"Hey heard you got hurt." Temari entered to find Ino and Choji with Shikamaru. "Yes, he did. Not that's any of your business," Ino snapped. "Ino-" Shikamaru said.

"It's not, I was just passing by and hear and as a friend I decided to stop by," Temari explain, cutting Shikamaru off. "Shikamaru needs his real friends around. He's hurt and doesn't-" Ino started. "Ino if my presence bugs you so much I'll leave." Temari said leaving. "Ino shouldn't have done that and Temari is a friend. I'm going." Shikamaru said getting up leaving Ino glaring at him.

Shikamaru followed Temari, he catch up to her, "Temari wait up."

"What do you want Nara," Temari stated with small bit of anger in her voice. He pulled her into a room, "Come here." She smiled glad to see him, "Tsunade said you were in the hospital so I decided to stop by because I'm staying at your place for my stay." His eyebrow went up, "that's convenient."

"I agree." She said with a sly smile. He stepped closed trapping her between the wall and himself, he smiled and leaned down to kiss her.

Out in the hall way Ino and Choji were walking by. Choji saw his lazy friend kissing Temari and almost dropped his chips. "Uhh… Ino lets go to get some food," Choji said grabbing Ino's arm and pulling her away from the window. "What- Choji let go. I have to go see Sakura… Ohhhh… Shikamaru," Ino said seeing the two kissing. She turn around and looked at Choji, "Did you know about this," "…" "Oh my god you did. How could you not tell me?" Ino turned around and stormed away, Choji followed her. She didn't care what Choji was saying or that he was trying to stop her, she had to tell everyone but most of all… she had to tell Kiyomi.
