Ok so I haven't updated in forever. I had finals then I was traveling and sometimes I didn't have wifi. Though I started writing another Shikamaru x Temari story.

Also I had a motorcycle accident, thankfully I didn't break anything but I landed on some rocks and the bike landed on top of my leg so my left leg got messed up pretty badly and I also got cuts, scrapes and bruises all over my left side. Anyways because of my families major freakout, I was retaken to the hospital, since the one on the island wasn't good in their opinion and so I had a nice stay at the hospital and two lovely surgeries… yay. It also took me a while to walk again so yea didn't really have time to update and stuff.

Anyways here chapter 26, hope you enjoy and sorry for the super long wait.

5 month later

Temari returned to Konoha she walked up to the gate to find Shikamaru waiting for her as usual expect he wasn't only there as a guard but as her boyfriend. They had written a few letters back and forth since her brothers found it odd that they had been 'dating' so long and never wrote each other. At first they didn't mean much, always a few sentences, but after a while she looked forward to them.

Walking up to him she didn't know if she should kiss him or not. "Hey crybaby, how's it going," she said standing in front of him with a smile. "Pretty good, troublesome," he responded. They didn't kiss or anything they just walked side by side to the Hokage's office.

"Hello Temari it's nice to have you in Konoha again," the Hokage said. "Thank you lady Hokage it's nice to be back."

Lady Tsunade smiled and looked at Shikamaru wondering what her next bet could be. "Here's your schedule for the next two weeks, if everything is in order you may leave."

"Umm, where will I be staying," Temari asked. "Ohh" Tsunade stood up, "I'm sorry I didn't realize you wanted a suite I just figured you'd stay at Shikamaru's"

At that comment Temari cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "If you like I could get Shizune to arrange it for you," the Hokage said. "No that's alright, I'll stay with Shikamaru," she said looking over at the lazy shinobi that hadn't said a word about the subject; he figured that Lady Tsunade would do that and he was pretty sure Temari would choice to stay with him.

After the left the Hokages office they made their way to his apartment. Once they got there she dropped off her stuff in her room and sat down next to him on the couch. "So when is your lazy ass going to take me out on a date."

"Hn," he said looking up at her, he hadn't really thought of it before.

"Our date Lazy, you said you wanted a real relationship well now you have to take me out on a real date,"

"Yea... later tonight... we'll... um get dinner and stuff," Great now I have think of somewhere to go.

Later that day Temari was getting ready for her date, though she would never admit it she was looking forward to it.

"Temari hurry up we're going to be late," Shikamaru yelled, it had been troublesome get a reservation at the restaurant and if she didn't hurry up they might lose their table.

After what seemed like hours Temari was finally ready, she decided to wear a strapless black dress with gold accessories. Shikamaru eyes widen a bit when he saw her. She looked beautiful.

"You look great now let's go before we're late troublesome," he said grabbing her hand.

"Fine, calm down lazy ass we're going."

They walked to one of Konoha finest. It was a small but exclusive and expensive restaurant. One would have to call a month in advance to get a table but since it was the ambassador of Suna and one of the Konoha 11 and trusted advisee they were able to get a table.

Temari was impressed she thought that the worlds laziest shinobi would have taken her to some place less... amazing.

They were seated at their table, "So did you bring Kiyomi here when you were together," she asked causally while scanned her menu. "You know most girls don't ask if their date brought his ex to the same place," he replied look at her from his menu.

She chuckled, "Well I'm not most girls, plus it's not like she's a threat or anything," she says looking at him from her menu.

"Yea definitely not like most girls and no never brought her here," he says looking back at his menu, she does the same.

The waiter comes and the order they food they talk about missions, the chunin exams and then the topic of shogi came up.

"What do you mean I cheated, I won fairly," she said raising her voice; she didn't like being called a cheater. "You distracted me for a second and then used moves you learned in a book," he said taking a bite from his plate. "I'm a kunoichi I'm trained to distract guys and manipulate them," she smiled. "Is that you're doing to me," he asked rising and eyebrow.

"Maybe," she teased, "at least when I take you to bed I'm not getting ready to assassinate you."

"What do mean," he asked confused by her last statement. "Ohh right I forgot Konoha doesn't practice that, well in Suna and many other villages kunoichi's are sent on mission to seduce and do what they need to with the target and kill them or get the information," she said causally as she bite into her food.

"What they need to... you mean sleep with them," he said a little upset of thinking of Temari that way. "Basically, but don't worry I never slept with someone for a mission, do you think Gaara or Kankuro would let that happen." She added that was true Gaara wouldn't do that to her, he almost killed him when he found out they were in a relations.

After their date ended they walked back to the apartment he had had surprisingly a good time he hated all his dates with Kiyomi, but with Temari they never ran out of things to say and he didn't feel like they were on a date it felt just like they were at his apartment talking and goofing around. Their relationship had turned into more than just sleeping around.

Temari had started opening up more they talked more about her past and things that had hurt her. Of course they were for his ears only and she warned him if he ever spoke about them to anyone she would turn him into a bloody pulp.

Mostly everyone was happy from them, only the Konoha 11 and a few others knew the where together. In all shinobi relationships its best to keep it a secret for as long as you can though with this era of peace it was much easier since either of them was targeted.

The ones who weren't happy for them were Ino and Kankuro. Ino was slowly getting over it but, Kankuro was worried that Temari would chose to leave Suna for good and forget about them. But Temari and Shikamaru were like yin and yang in personality in some way they balances each other out.

I don't have the next chapter finish nor do I know what to write this story is coming to and end though maybe 2 or 3 more chapter but I probably won't update for a while. So sorry in advance. Please review and if you have any ideas please leave them in the comments or PM me. Thanks
