I'm really sorry for not updating in forever! I have been busy dealing with personal things (That, even though I don't know you, I hope you guys never have to go through and if you are then know that there are people that care and want to help). On another note I finally dyed my hair red and got a tattoo, its a little eighth not behind my ear. And thank you to the couple in the pit at the concert that help me get to the front. They reminded me of Shikamaru and Temari so I divide to finish the chapter and update as soon as it was done. Again really sorry for the long time without an update.

Temari and Shikamaru waited at the front gates for her brothers. Tomorrow was the day that Naruto would finally put the Hokage hat on. Gaara and Kankuro where coming to celebrate the new Hokage. Temari would be leaving with them after the celebration.

All of Konoha was gathered around the Hokage building, on the roof of the building was Lady Tsunade, Naruto, Hianta, Shikamaru the rest of the Konoha 11, the elders and the Kazekage with his siblings. Everyone watched as Naruto and Lady Tsunade bowed at the Hokage monuments. Lady Tsunade took off her hat and placed it on Naruto's head. They bowed to each other "Thanks granny Tsunade," Naruto said, Lady Tsunade just smiled and turned and faced the crowd. Naruto turned back to the monuments, "told you I'd do it old man 3rd. Dad I did it, love you and mom and I hope I can be a great Hokage just like you and old man 3rd were". Naruto bowed once again and turned towards the crowed and walked forward so that all the villagers could see him.

All the villagers cheered at the crazy shinobi wearing a long black with orange flames robe wearing the Hokage hat. Naruto the 6th Hokage of Konoha.

The celebration was later that day, though the whole village was celebrating the hokage had a private party. The private party was all jonin and some chunin as well as all of Narutos' close friends. Shikamaru had shown up with Temari and her brothers, everyone was talking and enjoying the party. Closer to the end of the party mostly close friends were left. Temari had dragged Shikamaru to the dance floor, they were dancing when the Hokage decide to make an announcement. "Ladies and gentlemen, as most of you know it had been my dream to become Hokage and know I have reached that dream I have a new one. Hinata, you always believed in me and I was to stupid to see it when we were younger but know I can image my life without you. Hinata will you marry me?" Naruto said getting down on one knee and pulling out a ring. There gasps around the crowd, everyone knew this was coming they just didn't know when. Shikamaru looked over at Temari who was smiling, "It's about time that knucklehead asked her," she said quietly to him. Hinata turned bright red and said yes, however after he slid the ring on her finger she fainted. Luckily Naruto though she would and caught her in time, "No worries she'll be ok."

The Konoha 11 and some other went to the newly engaged couple to congratulate them.

"Better not get any ideas Nara, my sister is not moving to Konoha right Temari?" Kankuro said. "I don't know Kankuro Konoha has grow on me," she laughed Kankuro didn't he looked at Shikamaru with daggers for eyes. "Don't worry, why would I want this troublesome woman" he said with a smirk. Temari glared at him, "you know you want me lazy ass"she said before walking away to the girls all looking at Hinata's ring.

10 Months Later

Temari was back in Konoha she has just been there 2 months ago, but know she wasn't there for work now she was there as a bridesmate for Naruto and Hinatas wedding. She was getting ready with the girls, "So Temari when do you think Shikamaru going to pop the question," Teneten asked. Temari rolled here eyes. "I don't know Tenten, by the way how did Neji ask?" Tenten made a grunt sound and narrowed her eyes at Temari. "You know he hasn't asked yet. I don't know what's he's waiting for we already live together and stuff."

"Ohh you two stop bickering," said Sakura fixing Hinatas dress. "You're only saying that because Sasuke asked you last week." Temari replied. "Yea before that you where on our side." Tenten added.

"I swear to good if I'm the only left thats not engaged I'm going to kill that lazy ass."

The girls laughed, even Ino was going to get married, she didn't think Sai would even know how to ask so she asked him, well more like told him.

"All done," Hinata turned around, she looked beautiful in her dress. Ino went to let the guys know that they where ready. Temari and Ino had patched things but a few month ago, mostly for Shikamaru's sake since Temari was his girlfriend and Ino one of his best friends that he loved like a sister.

Guys

Naruto was nerves, Shikamaru had never seen him like this. "I wonder if this how Hinata felt all those time she saw me and fainted," Naruto said fixing his tie. "Do you feel like you're going to faint" Sasuke asked. "No, It just that I can't believe I'm about to get married and to the best girl in the world." The guys rolled their eyes.

"Hey Shikamaru, don't forget the plan tomorrow." Neji said. "Yea I won't we'll meet you guys at Ichiraku at 12. Temari has a meeting before so I'll get there early to ask Tenten and you ask Temari when Tenten not listening," Shikamaru explained. "It's a brilliant plan, both of them have been talking about it for months they'll exactly what the other wants."

'Hey guy, why don't you all look handsome" Ino said. "Thanks." Naruto said. "Hinatas ready by the way, so lets get this show on the road."

They followed her out. Naruto looked more and more nervous by the minute. He took his place, a minute later Hianta showed up looking beautiful. A while later they were married. Temari was happy for them, she had thought of marriage for a while she wasn't getting any younger and everyone she knew was married or engaged. Well, except for Tenten. The party was fun the it wasn't small but it wasn't huge either it was mostly close friend, for Naruto that was a lot of people. The happy couple left for there honey moon with was to a nice hot spring resort near by, they would only get 3 days since Naruto really can't take of work easily.

The Next Day

Shikamaru arrived at Ichiraku and found Tenten and Neji already there. "Hey guys, Temari should be here soon her meeting lets out in 5 minutes," he said. " Ok do you want to start ordering." Tenten asked. "Yea sure, hey Tenten can I talk to you for a minute," he said. She nodded, "So I'm going to propose to Temari," her eyes went huge and her jaw dropped, "but you can't tell her. Anyway I need your help picking out a ring you now what she likes and stuff." Tenten so excited for her friend, "yes! of course I would love too."

Shikamaru smiled, "thanks we can go after tomorrow morning while she's at a meeting." Tenten nodded, she took her seat next to Neji. Tenten wondered if Neji would ever asked her to marry her. Now that Temari was getting engage she was going to be the last one to get married.

After lunch while Tenten was talking about Shikamaru about plans for shopping tomorrow, Neji was asking Temari if wanted to help him find a ring for Tenten. Temari was so excited about Neji asking her best friend to marry him. She also had a strong urge to kick her lazy ass of a boyfriend. After Tenten left to meet with Lady Tsunade, Temari told Shikamaru that she had to go with Neji to discuss some things about the Hyuga clan. Of course Shikamaru knew what she was really up to. He left them with a smirk on his face.

It didn't take long for Temari to help Neji pick out the perfect ring for Tenten. The next day Tenten help pick out a ring for Temari, Shikamaru had a good idea of what Temari wanted. In the end he picked a beautiful, simple, elegant and practical ring for the troublesome women that had apparently driven him insane enough to ask her to marry her.

I don't know when I will finish/start the next chapter so really sorry about that. I do have an idea of what going to happen next though. I also want to start a new Shikamaru Temari story. I leave a preview to that at the end of this story.
