Maria stood infront of President Topaz and The General presenting them with the recovered file called "Project Shadow". Sonic, Sonia and Manic aswell as Rouge, Knuckles and Chris were present.

The General questioned Maria, "I assumed Shadow would be present, since this corserns him."

Maria took a deep breath, "It's not something he wants people to know." She looked around the room, "May I sit down?"

"Yes"

Taking a seat Maria began, "The original file -PROJECT SHADOW- was a 47 step plan on enhancing Shadow's body. He was born with the ability to run fast, but not the body to withstand the strain."

Sonic suddenly sat up. To think that someone like Shadow had such a big dissadvantage to him.

"Shadow couldn't stop himself, even when he wasn't trying to run he ended up running and hurting himself. Pa... Dr Robotnic..."

"Maria, you can refer to Dr Robotnic however you wish."

"Papa could not bear looking t shadow ending up with stuck to bed over and over again. He filled in some scientist to Shadow and his problem, It took a while for them to undestand how his body worked but they were willing to help."

Meanwhile Tails was going through the ark with Shadow looking for parts tht could be used to fix both ships.

"Shadow"

"Yes"

"I lways had a question about the Ark, I have seen mos of the plans but there are so many areas that seem as a waste and the sizes do not seem to be equal to those of the actual sizes."

"There is a reason for that."

Tails did not expect for a reply from Shadow, but then again they never had a conversation with just the two of them.

Shadow headed towards what seemed like a another steel wall. Shadow placed his hand at exactly a right angle at the elbow and took a step forward as his shoe hit the wall. The small hidden panel shifted inwards and Shadow took a step back.

"The process began with a intake of food that bosted the take in of minerals, vitamins and protein, and yes that did mean protein shakes. Trust me, we had 6 flavours stored and he was 4. Chocolate, cinamon..."

"Maria, please continue"

"Sorry, then was the training and everything else really. But one of the things we discovered allowed him to get stronger was after using chaos control. It seemed that he is naturally able to "feed"" Maria enhanced the comment by making quotation marks with her hands in mid air, "off chaos energy."

"And you were the only source of this energy on Earth." added Knuckles as he began adding up the facts.

"True, so Dr Liana Stuart thought that maybe Earth has an energy field similar that maybe needs a diffrent method of channeling..."

"Hold on a minute," asked the general as he interupted Maria, "Did you just say Liana Stuart? The Professor Liana Stuart?"

"Is she famous?"

"Famous?" added Chris, "More like legendary. Because of her studies and untraditional methods our technology has made the process to llow for extensive space travel and life on planets like Mars"

"You are right about untraditional, she made Shadow medetate and shipped a dance machine to the Ark."

The two stepped into what seemed like a small elevator. The technology of the construction looked alot more modern to Tails than the rest of the Ark. The elevator automaticly began climbing down through the shaft.

Light poured in from the bottom as the lift began slowing down.

As Tails stepped out of the lift he heard *beep* *beep* *beep*

He turned to see a small round pitch black robot with glowing red eyes trying to detatch itself from a cable in Shadow's direction.

"Are you charged now?"

*BEEEP*

Shadow removed the cables from the robot and placed it on the ground. "Miles..."

"Just call me Tails."

"Tails meet Rolls"

*beep* *beeep*

"Rolls this is Miles Power or Tails as you just heard."

"Nice to meet you."
