Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated in such a looooooong time but school is a bitch.
Ciel's point of view
"Young master, it is time for you to wake up," Sebastian whispered in my ear causing me to stir a bit in my sleep but I didn't wake up. I just nuzzled myself closer to his chest, I heard him lightly chuckle before he started to shake me slightly. "Ciel, you need to get up now, we have reached mount. Dengen and everyone is waiting for you to wake up before we continue any further," He said softly.
"Fine," I mumbled, opening my eyes slightly as I yawned.
"Good morning, Ciel," Kagome said smiling as she looked at me.
"I believe the correct phrase is 'good afternoon,' but that doesn't matter rot now, what exactly are we looking for?" I asked as Sebastian placed me gently on the ground.
"We're looking for a cave that has a barrier around the opening," Miroku said. "While we were looking for you, Sango and I left everyone for a short while to ask the villagers that question."
"An old man told us that when he was younger he climbed this mountain to find out what lived on top of here, when he came across the cave," Sango explained. "He was about to walk into the cave when he ran into the barrier blocking the entrance, but when he had brought his wife with him, she could enter the cave like nothing was there."
"So we need to find a cave with a barrier, sounds easy enough," I sarcastically said, rolling my eyes.
"That's a whole lot easier said than done," Inuyasha commented.
"Even so, we need to find it by night fall," I said seriously. "I doubt any of you ever been on these mountains, so we don't know what to expect, also from what the elder in the village told me, there is a demon that only comes out at night. Since it is daylight we haven't encountered any demons besides lady Shinko on these mountains, doesn't anyone find that suspicious? I suspect that those demons only come at night as well, until we find the cave we need to keep our guards up," I explained.
"Well spoken, my lord," Sebastian said, a smirk plastered on his face.
"I have a question to ask you, Ciel," Miroku said. "Why do you refer to Shinko with such formality when she clearly kidnapped you?"
"Every woman should be treated with respect no matter what age she may be," I replied, feeling a bit irritated. "Besides, I've seen what she needed me for and I'm fine with it."
"What!?" Kagome and Sango said in unison.
"How can you forgive her so easily when she kidnapped you and took over your body?" Sango asked. "I wouldn't forgive her so easily no matter what she-"
"Sango," Miroku cut her off as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "I think I get what Ciel is saying."
"What do you mean?" She asked looking up at him.
"If she's working with Naraku, he must have threatened her to do so, her demonic aura was extremely different from Naraku's aura. Tell me, what did she need you for?"
"Naraku took something that any mother would do anything and everything to get back," I said seriously. "I would do the exact same thing to get it back but I wouldn't have been so generous and let him live," I growled. "I would have killed him right on the spot once I had reclaimed what was mine."
"What did he take to provoke her that much?"
"He took Shima away from her."
"Who's Shima?" Shippo suddenly asked.
"Shima is lady Shinko's daughter, Shima is still an infant," I explained. "Naraku threatened Shinko by taking her child away from her, he needed her to get information on Sebastian and me. He knew she was the ideal demon to do it and he also knew she wouldn't help him because she is kind hearted. So Naraku took her child as a hostage and sent her a ransom plan: Our information for her daughter. That bastard."
"I see," Kagome said softly, looking down at the ground.
"She should of told me sooner, it would have saved her so much time," I sighed.
"I know how you feel, I would have done the same thing as well," Sango said.
"Did you get to see her child?" Kagome asked, curiosity in her eyes.
"Yes, I did," I watched as a smile appeared on her face. "I also got to hold her."
"What did she look like?" She asked, almost bouncing in excitement.
"She was small and looked like her mother with the raven black hair that had a purple and red shine to it in the light. Her eyes were two different colors, one was ice blue while the other was bright green, she was also very cheerful and bubbly," I explained. "Even though I wasn't in control of my own body, I felt like I was going to drop her," I could practically hear the smirk appearing on Sebastian's face as Kagome smiled widely before hugging me. "Wha-"
"Ciel, you are so cute, you're gong to be a great mother," She chimed cheerfully.
"Oh, have you two picked out names for your child?" Sango asked.
"Yes, we've decided to name our child after my master's late parents," Sebastian smiled placing a hand on my shoulder as Kagome let go of me, I looked up at him with a blush on my face and he nodded.
"I'm so sorry, Ciel."
"Don't be," I said, regained my posture. "Anyway, let's get moving we don't have time to be messing around, we need to find that cave before night falls," I started to move forward, venturing more into the mountains as everyone began to follow me.
"We need to spread out to cover more ground if we're going to do this before night fall," Mirkou stated.
"Right, I'll take Kagome and Kilala and search in the east from the sky while Miroku, Shippo, and Inuyasha will do the same for the west. You and Sebastian will stay on the ground and continue to look in the direction in front of you."
"What happens when one of us fins the cave?" I asked, turning to face her.
"Well, if we find it, one of us will stay by it while the other takes Kilala to get everyone, if Inuyasha, Miroku, and Shippo find it, they'll do the same thing."
"What if Sebastian and I find it?"
"I'm not sure," Sango shrugged. "I guess you guys stay by the cave and wait for us to find you."
"That sounds promising," I mumbled sarcastically.
"Do you got a better idea, kid?" Inuyasha retorted, hearing what I said.
"No, I don't," I glared at him, crossing my arms over my chest. "Need I remind you, I'm not a child!"
"Okay you guys, calm down," Miroku sighed. "Let's just get going, arguing will only waste time."
"He has a point, young master," Sebastian said. "We should start moving."
"I suppose you're right, Sebastian. Let's go," I said, turning around again and and started walking, Sebastian following close behind. After ten minutes of countless walking, we found an opening that led nowhere, it was a dead end. "Damn it," I cursed angrily, turning my back towards the opening. "Let's just hope that the others had more luck," I sighed, walking away from the opening. Suddenly, a hand clamped over my mouth while an arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me backwards as I tried to scream for Sebastian.
"Master!" Sebastian yelled, going after me but was stopped by a barrier, well at least we found the cave.
"Who are you?" A voice said, lifting me into the air with a hand over my neck, choking me slightly.
"C-Ciel Phantom-hive," I struggled to say as I looked into the bright yellow eyes of the man in front of me.
"What is your purpose, Ciel Phantomhive?" He asked.
"I'm trying to... Get back to... My own... Time."
"Ciel!" Sebastian yelled, his eyes glowing red with slits.
"Why are you here?"
"I just... Told you," I said angrily, trying to pry his hand off my neck. "I'm try-ing to... Go back to my... Own damn time."
"And what about him?" He asked, gesturing to Sebastian who was currently trying to break through the barrier to get to me.
"He's... Wi-th me," Everything around me was starting to blur from the lack of oxygen.
"Kojing!" A voice yelled, startling the demon in front of me causing him to let go of my neck, sending me to the ground.
"Ciel!" I hit the ground with an audible thud, I felt so lightheaded and I couldn't find the strength to move my body, I looked over at Sebastian before closing my eyes as I lost conscious.
"Aurora," Kojing said calmly, as a woman with bright, long, turquoise hair appeared. Her hair was up in a high pony and was braided, reaching down to the back of her thighs and her eyes were a bright, vibrant shade of violet.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!?" Aurora yelled angrily.
"Questioning these trespassers."
"And almost killing this boy! Do you realize the punishment you'll get once Kasai finds out about this-" She was cut off by a sudden explosion, though small, it was loud and produced a lot of smoke.
"What!? How can something break through my barrier?" Kojing said. Just as he turned towards the opening, he was immediately shoved roughly into the wall.
"Don't touch something that is not yours," Sebastian smiled as he tightened his around Kojing's neck before throwing him across the cave and into another wall. "Ciel," He said softly, walking over to me.
"Is he alright?" Aurora asked, walking over to Sebastian as he kneeled on the ground, slowly lifting up on to his lap.
"Yes, thankfully," He sighed relieved, placing his hand on my stomach as Kojing stood up.
"I'm going to kick your ass, but be glad I don't want to upset lord Kasai any further," Kojing snarled.
"Kojing!" Aurora yelled.
"And you need the to be thankful my master and my child weren't severely harmed by your pathetic hands," Sebastian said calmly before his voice ran cold. "If they were, I assure you, you wouldn't be alive right now," There was a long silence Sebastian shifted me, positioning me more on to his lap, my head resting on his shoulder.
"So... Are you two mates?" Aurora asked, sitting beside Sebastian.
"You could say that," He smiled. "We care deeply for each other and he is carrying my child, I have sworn to protect him with my life the moment I first met him, and I have done so."
"Bullshit," Kojing retorted, crossing his arm over his chest as he leaned on the cave's wall.
"Please do shut up," Sebastian said calmly. "As much as I'd like to shove your face into the wall for touching my master and injuring him, I won't leave his side with him in this state."
"How cute," Aurora smiled. "Wow, that's going to leave a bruise," She commented, looking at my neck. "Let me apologize for the ridiculous actions of my brother," Aurora glared at Kojing. "As an apology, let me heal your mate," She placed her hand on my neck as a golden light came from her palm, healing my neck. "There, he is healed now."
"Thank you, my lady," Sebastian said.
"Sebastian!" Sango shouted as Kilala landed on the ground before entering the cave. "Are you and Ciel alright? We heard an explosion."
"Everything is alright."
"What happened to Ciel?" Kagome asked worriedly.
"You can blame my bastard of a brother for that," Aurora sighed.
"Whatever," Kojing said. "I was only doing my job."
"Do keep your mouth shut," Sebastian harshly said, smiling. "Your voice is greatly irritating at the moment, thus if you wish to keep breathing and not have your face smashed in, I suggest you shut up."
"Woah, harsh," Sango whispered to Kagome.
"Yeah," Kagome nodded.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha said, running up to her with Miroku and Shippo following close behind.
"Are you alright?" Miroku asked, hopping off of Shippo as he transformed back to his true form.
"Yes, everyone is," Kagome smiled, getting off of Kilala with Sango.
"And who is this lovely creature?" Miroku smirked, walking up to Aurora, taking her hand in his.
"Stop it," Aurora said, yanking her hand out of Miroku's. "You're not my type."
"Anyway, getting back on topic," Sango said after shooting Miroku a murderous glare. "Is this the cave where the demon, Kasai, lives?"
"Yes, it is," Aurora smiled. "Lord Kasai lays at the heart of this mountain, this cave, its only entrance."
"I see, so no demon can get in?"
"Exactly."
"He looks so peaceful in his sleep," Kagome said, walking over to Sebastian. "It's as if he is a porcelain doll on a shelf."
"Yes, but I have taken him down from that and gave him life," Sebastian said, gently moving a piece of my bangs out of my face. "I am glad that he still remains the same even through all that he's been through."
"What do you mean?" She asked, concerned.
"I believe that information is something my master will have to share with you when the time comes."
"I see..."
"Now, young master it is time for you to wake up," He said shaking me slightly causing me only to stir a bit before pressing myself closer to him, his expression softened as he smiled softly. He shifted me so the back of my neck was in his hand as moved my head towards his, placing his lips on mine in a gentle kiss and slowly, I started to return it.
"Strange way to wake up after being choked," I teased, smirking as we separated.
"I prefer to think of it as welcomed and pleasant than strange."
"Indeed."
"Sorry to break your moment, but we might want to start heading towards Lord Kasai's spring," Aurora said politely.
"I agree," Sebastian said, lifting me up in his arms as he stood up before placing me on the ground. "The faster we get through this ordeal-"
"The faster we can return to London," I said, finishing his sentence.
"Though, I have to ask," Kagome said. "What happened to you?"
"Enough already!" Kojing snapped. "You all have out stayed your welcome!"
"Kojing! What is with you today!?" Aurora shouted while Kojing scoffed, walking away as she took a deep breathe. "I apologize for the way my brother has been acting," She sighed. "It might be because Kojing is trying to pull the tough guy act in front of Ciel's mate."
"What do you mean?"
"Before you ladies arrived, my young master and I found this cave," Sebastian stated.
"We were about to leave when Kojing reached out and grabbed me, pulling me in here thus separating Sebastian and me," I said. "Even though there was a barrier, that didn't stop Sebastian from getting to my side, he destroyed the barrier and proceeded to threaten Kojing," I smirked as Sebastian wrapped his arms around my waist.
"He had you in the air by your throat with an incentive to kill you," He said, pulling me close from behind. "I won't allow anyone to do so."
"That's cute," Kagome smiled, taking an object out of her pocket and a sudden light flashed through out the cave. "I'm going to keep this picture," She said, putting the object back into her pocket.
"Getting back on subject, you guys came here to see Lord Kasai, right?" Aurora asked. "Come, I'll take you to him," She smiled, leading us further into the cave.
"How far in is the spring?" Miroku asked, breaking the silence.
"I believe I have mentioned that Lord Kasai rests at the heart of this mountain, it'll be at least five minutes until we get there, if we take the right paths."
"There's more than one path?"
"Yes, there are many to confuse those who get through the barrier and try to reach the spring for evil intentions. Most lead back to the start while others lead to dead ends, by then we have already found them."
"Like a labyrinth," I commented.
"Yes, exactly," She smirked.
"And what if they try to leave?"
"They won't be able to."
"What do you mean?" Shippo asked.
"The barrier works both ways," Aurora explained. "It keeps things out but also keeps things in."
"Then how come the elder's wife from the village could pass through the barrier like nothing was there."
"Most women can pass through the barrier since they are considered to be more pure than males," She continued. "Among that, only the kind and the pure hearted can pass through, but as soon as they pass through the barrier, Kojing and I are there to greet them."
"I see," I said, thinking about. "Then how was I able to go through the barrier?"
"It could be because my brother grabbed you and dragged you in," Aurora stopped walking and looked back at me. "But it could be because you're carrying a child, thus making you pure not only in body but in soul as well. I can see your intentions and they are not evil, I can also see that your heart is nothing but pure even though it has been broken and scarred like your past," My eyes widened in shock.
"My lady," Sebastian said cutting in. "I believe it would be wise not to dwell on this any longer and bring back unwanted memories."
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Aurora apologized, bowing.
"It's fine," I said regaining my posture. "Let's continue moving."
"Alright," As we continued to walk, Aurora lit a fire on her hand as everything started to darken and then suddenly the ground started to shake.
"An earthquake!?" Inuyasha said.
"So you wish to test them?" Aurora mumbled, before sighing. "I'm beginning to think you just want to be entertained," She shook her head as the floor collapsed beneath us.
"Sebastian!" I screamed.
