Hi everyone! Sorry this one took so long to write, but I was thinking up ideas for the whole story, so that way, writing each chapter will be easier now. I'll be able to post more often. Okay, I LOVE the reviews I'm getting so far, but it would be absolutely marvelous if I received more! I would love to know what you all think! Okay, have fun everyone!

"You're lucky I didn't let him kill you…Draco," the young Malfoy heard.

He was in a pitch-black room, and couldn't see a thing. Draco felt his body, but couldn't manage to move, or even talk, no matter how hard he tried.

"You're very lucky Lucious didn't finish you off…you wouldn't have wanted that, now, would you?"

That voice made chills run up his spine. It was Voldemort's, for sure, but he didn't know where it was coming from.

"I'm inside your head…Draco," He said.

What?

How could Voldemort be in his head?

"Now, my boy," Voldemort continued, "Don't make me believe that I saved you for nothing. You know what you must do…and if you do not do as I commanded, you will be killed."

Draco shuddered. The fear was now getting to him, and his heart was beating faster and faster.

Yes, of course Draco didn't want to die. He wanted to live more than anything. Often times, he is called a coward…and sometimes he even believes it.

Besides, all he really ever cared about was his mother, Narcissa, and his father, Lucious…though Draco doesn't really care for him anymore. His mother was the only one left that he really cares about.

He cares so much about her…that he would even die for her.

She's the only person in the world that he would die for…always.

If Voldemort ever found out about that…he could use that against Draco, and blackmail him. He could threaten to kill her, and Draco would have to do whatever he commanded.

The Dark Lord must never find out about that, but if he does-

but his thoughts were cut off.

"Be careful what you think of, Draco…"

No.

No, no, no, no! Could he read his thoughts even now?

Could Voldemort have read his thoughts just then? Or is he bluffing?

"Either way, don't fail me Draco…or else you will regret it. My entire plan is in you hands, boy, so don't mess it up."

There was a pause and Draco thought it was over…until-

"Avada Kedavra!"

Green light shot at Draco and before it could get to him, he bolted upright.

He closed his eyes, immediately after, though, for there was a bright light, he soon realized was the sun.

He snapped them open, though, for he did not want to return to that nightmarish-world…even though he knew it wasn't a dream. All of it was real.

His heart beat slowed and Draco calmed down, knowing the danger has passed. But what Voldemort said resonated in him. What if he read his thoughts about his mother?

She'd be in danger…all because of him.

Draco's vision came into view, and he saw that he was still in the courtyard. The sun was just rising, over the mountains, signaling the first hour of dawn.

Either nobody heard him last night, or nobody even cared to help him.

That thought caused tears to form in his eyes, but he didn't let them fall. This time, Draco knew he deserved this for all he has done and what he will do.

Knowing that he couldn't stay there any longer, he tried to stand up…but to no prevail.

Immediately after trying to rise, pain shot through him like a bullet, and he collapsed with a cry. He still felt the effects of the Crutiatis Curse, and the pain still riled his body, with every move he made.

Draco was surprised he even ran as far and fast as he did last night. But what was he going to do? He was in so much pain, he couldn't even stand, let alone walk.

Classes were going to start soon and teachers were going to be going to their classrooms, and they'd go through the courtyard.

It would be embarrassing, being found like this, but Draco knew he had to get better…if he ever wanted to get revenge on his father.

However, he would be surprised if anyone would help him at all. He doubted anyone would stop and see if he was okay, as other students bustled by to their classes.

"They'll be glad I'm hurt," Draco said aloud. "Don't get your hopes up…nobody's going to care anyways."

Just as he said that, the doors to the courtyard flew open, with students pouring out of it.

But the first person that Draco thought he'd never see come out first was none other than Harry Potter.

Well, what's Harry going to do? Ignore Draco and walk by or give him a hand? I know this is a bit short, but it'll get better and longer for the next one! Okay then, bye! And PLEASE review for me!
