Chapter 15, yes!
So on the last chapter, Lily learns that her parents, her own birth and blood parents, were really king and queen of the ancient race, Drookians, an evil race that run among Middle Earth, destroying everything in their path and all kinds.
So what will Paarthurnax tell her now?
Here we go!
Chapter 15: What to do
Lily stilled, her eyes wide with shock. "It...it-it can't be..." She whispered, her entire body shaking now with fear and with dread.
Her parents.
Her VERY own parents...
...were king and queen of the ancient race.
Paarthurnax curled around Lily as she fell down, landing on the grass but at the same time, leaning against Paarthurnax. He craned his head to look at her, growling softly at her. "...I am sorry, Dovah Queen...I truly wish that this isn't the truth...but it is..." He said, feeling her shake against his scaly skin. He curled his tail around her, pressing his snout against her cheek, purring softly.
Lily kept trying to calm herself of what she just now learned. "They...they didn't love me...and they..."
"Lilian...would you like to know why you were untouchable from their curse of their species?" Paarthurnax asked and Lily looks at him, her eyes shone with tears.
"Your great-great-great grandfather, Kamon, told your father, who is his great-great grandfather that one of the family members will rise as alpha of the dragon species. At first, he thought that it was going to be him, since he is the King of the Drookians. Then your mother thought that she was going to be alpha of the dovahs. That is when you were born...with the eyes of Yol and Iiz...and Kamon had those eyes. YOU were destined to be Alpha of the dovahs."
Lily looks at the dragon's gentle eyes, the pupils widen and yet slender at the same time. "When he looks into their minds, he saw nothing but destruction and death upon every race...but when he saw yours...it was bright, filling with life and peace amongst the mortals and dragons with you as ruler, me and the ancient dovahs by your side...fighting beside you in your army and offering peace and harmony to many of the races. That is why he chose you as the next ruler, you have his heart...a pure heart...that is filled with hope, dreams and wonders amongst many."
Lily looks at the flower in front of her, which it had ruby red petals, a hint of purple in the middle as Lily stroked the petals gently.
"That is why you could only understand us, Lilian. You have the tongue and hearing of the ancient race."
Lily looks at him. "...Paarthurnax...if...if it is true...of what my grandpa saw in me and my pa-I mean, Angela and Greg," She couldn't bare to call them 'parents' anymore after what she learned, "...does this mean...that I have to face them?"
"...yes, but in time...if they showed their true form to you now, you will not stand a chance...that is why I need you to come to the top of the DovahsMiin Mountain at dawn, with your father and your loved ones present there...it is a ritual dovahs must do to officially make you as the ruler of all dovahs." He said, now standing up and Lily looks up at him.
She thinks for a moment and then she nods.
It was near dawn, Lily standing at the snowy mountain by herself, shivering a bit as she held her fur coat tighter, her breaths coming out in puffs of smokes from the cold. She looks around, her father, Thorin, the dwarves, including Gandalf were with her, but she saw no signs of the dragons.
"Th-This is ridiculous...why-why of all mountains...it has to be cold?" Bilbo sneezed, having his coat around him to secure himself from the cold.
"...well they better hurry." Thorin growled, not liking the idea of being on a mountain FILLED with dragons. Lily looks around, the sun merely peeking over the horizon and then...she saw the shadows among them and when she turned, she saw many of the dragons perched on parts of the rocks of the mountain, Paarthurnax perching on a stone behind her.
Lily was now nervous, seeing many of the ancient dragons on the mountains, including some from the Dragon Sanctuary.
"Pah werid faal Dovah Jud!(1)"The dragons shouted, roaring in the sky and the roars echoed loudly. Lily stood where she was, somewhat scared now but she remained where she stood, looking at the dragons.
"Aal hin sil kos revak ahrk vahzah naal faal dovah ziis!(2)" One shouted at her, flying above her in the sky while roaring. The dragon swooped down and flew above Lily's head while roaring.
"Pah werid faal Dovah Jud!" The dragons shouted once more, the roars echoed in the sky. Lily kept looking up at the sky, seeing one dragon at a time taking flight into the sky, roaring so that the creatures in the skies know of their presence. "Drun krongrah wah faal qostiid do faal dovahs, goraan Dovah Jud! (3)"Another dragon shouted, brushing her cheek with one of the tips of it's wings gently before taking up into the sky.
"What are they doing?" Bilbo asked, not understanding the dragon language.
"They are blessing her, saying the ancient words of the dragons to make her as a true alpha." Gandalf said, looking at the dragons as they were flying above them, roaring.
"Pal werid faal Dovah Jud!"
"Aal hin sossedov ru zeim hin kopraan ahrk zind zeim grahs ahrk meyz unslaad! (4)" Soon, many of the dragons were shouting in dragon tongue, flying above their heads while roaring. Lily looks above, watching the dragons circling around her from above and she felt something warm inside of her, blooming up and she breathed in, taking a deep breath.
The warm feeling kept growing and growing, like it was a fire, but it didn't hurt her. Paarthurnax was perched on a boulder, looking at Lily as the process of the dragon souls were gathering to her to pronounce her as the dragon queen. "Alduin, Smaug...it is time..." He said and they both nodded, hovering and flew above Lily's head, roaring.
Paarthurnax stood on his hind legs, expanding his long wings and flapped them, taking flight to join the two other dragons as they roared loudly. Paarthurnax roared as well, his roar outdoing the other dragon's roars since he was an ancient dragon, the oldest and wisest of them all.
"Dovah Zii ko faal lok, drun hin kogaan wah daar goraan Dovah Jud wah meyz aan vahzah Dovah! (5)" Paarthurnax shouted in dragon tongue, circling above Lily as she kept looking up at the dragons, Smaug, Alduin and Paarthurnax now only circling above her head while the other dragons perched on the boulders and kept watching the ritual happen.
The dragons kept roaring the same preach over and over and Lily saw a bright light shined in front of her and she shielded her eyes, seeing that it was so bright and when she looks, she was shocked to see who it was.
It was Kamon, who aged but in his spirit form as he smiled at Lily, his pupils wide and yet slender at the same time, showing his dragon blood. "...grandfather..."
"Hello, Lilian...I wish that I could see you in person myself...but as you can see...dragon age can do things to you." He chuckled, gesturing himself to show that he was dead long way before she was born. He then placed one of his gloved hands on her shoulder and she could feel him. "...when I told Gregory of what was happening...I would never had thought that this would happen...I wish there was something that I could do...but I can't. Their destiny is theirs and your destiny is yours. When I saw your mind, it was filled with paradise for the dragons and I knew, that I would trust my powers as dragon alpha in your hands."
Her eyes shone with tears and he brushed one away with his thumb and she smiled sadly at him and he smiled back. He kissed her forehead and then he hugged her tightly when she tackled him into a hug, her arms around his neck as she buried her face into the crook of his neck. He lets her, burying his nose into the top of her head while hugging her just as tightly as she did.
"I am already proud of you, Lily...back then, I couldn't tame Smaug back then...but you...you managed to when I couldn't. And I could tell that he trusts you just as much as you trust him. You will make a great dragon queen, Lily. I know you will...this is my final gift to you." He then pulled away, stepping away from Lily and formed a ball of light in his hands, closing his eyes.
"Dovah Jud, daar koogan los dii laat su'um wah hin sulyek do hin Dovah Zii. Drun drem wah un leindo Mith Gol. (6)" Kamon whispered then placed the ball of light into Lily and her body absorbed it, gasping slightly of how warm it felt.
He kissed her forehead one last time before smiling sadly at her. "Good-bye, Dragon Queen...until we meet in the after life..." His soul then disappeared in front of her, a tear ran down her cheek and she closed her eyes, the snow lighting up and the dragons looking down at her. Paarthurnax then lands, looking at her.
"How are you feeling, young Dovah Jud?" He asked and Lily placed her hand where the orb went inside of her from her grandfather. "...I feel...great. Like I haven't felt this energized before." She said and he grinned a bit. "Good...then you are now, from this day until your life energy is no more, Dovah Jud of Middle Earth."
All of the dragons roared at the sky, some of them blasting fire or ice in the sky. Lily looks around and then smiled a bit proudly and then she nearly stumbled when something nudged her from behind. She looks over to see Smaug behind her, looking at her with his golden red eyes, growling softly. She placed her hand out and he pressed his snout against her hand, purring.
She managed to hug his head and he allowed her to, purring louder.
It was next day, Lily looking at the sunset on a hill that is near Erebor.
She looks at the necklace that she had ever since she was a little girl and a tear ran down her cheek. She sniffed and wiped it away. Lily did want to let go, she really did...but it was hard for her.
She heard something hovered behind her and then lands.
"Is something troubling you, Dovah Jud?"
She looks behind her to see one of the dragons from the solitude, named a Revered Dragon. The dragon was different from his other kins, since his body was built a bit different than the others. The tail expanding out on the sides and the color was mostly red with a hinge of blue upon it's back. What made it really stand out was it's face, having large, lidless, goat-like eyes.
"...it isn't easy to let everything in when you learned that your parents are the king and queen of an ancient clan that kills everything.
"It is true...I know it is hard to come, but in future time, more events will overcome this barer of bad news." The Revered dragon said, growling softly while standing beside of her while watching the horizon. She sighs, but placed a hand on the dragon's neck, slowly stroking the scales and she could hear it purr softly, watching the horizon so no harm could come to the alpha.
"...could you take me flying for awhile? I know it's much to ask, but...I need my head to clear up."
The dragon nods. "Ol hi uth, dii jud; as you command, my queen." The dragon said, then lowered it's neck for her and she climbs onto the dragon, sitting right behind it's head while holding on as the dragon expanded it's wings, taking off the ground before flying off, roaring. She held on, looking at the grounds from the back of the dragon.
The dragon glides smoothly in the sky, keeping focus on what comes in it's way or not, growling. It then looked up slightly at her when it felt her laying her head down on the top of it's head, sighing.
"Everything alright?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah...just...I guess I'm tired is all..." She said, closing her eyes for a brief moment and the dragon seemed to smile as Lily closed her eyes, relaxing for the first time in a few weeks from the events that happened.
Of course, when she woke up later, she found herself on the ground and she looks around groggily, but she didn't remember feeling the ground underneath her moving. She looks at the source tiredly and was a bit surprised to see Bilbo, which he smiled at her, leaning against a tree while she was resting her head against his lap. "Hey, sleepyhead." He smiled.
Lily just blinks tiredly at him.
"Your, um...dragon friend dropped you off here while I was taking a doze off myself, but it looks like you need it more." He chuckled, stroking her bangs out of her eyes. Lily still couldn't respond to him, still a bit tired. "Why don't you rest a bit more, okay?" He said, leaning back and Lily just shifted, but stayed where she was, her head still resting on his lap.
He kept stroking her hair, looking over at the horizon. "...so much things had happened now...Thorin getting his land back, you being dragon queen...if we didn't leave the Shire...I bet you that none of this would had happened..." He said.
Lily looks up at him, which he smiled down at her.
She then yawned again, closing her eyes and fell right back asleep. Bilbo smiled, stroking Lily's hair while looking at the horizon. He could hear Lily's soft breathing while she slept. He closed his eyes, smiling of the small memories of Lily when she was young.
Bilbo jerked somewhat when he felt something tugging his pant leg and he looks down to see Lily, holding a white flower up to him, smiling. He then chuckled, smiling as he knelt down so that he could be at her height. "You got this for me?"
Lily nods, smiling. "You were kinda upset when that lady from next door said to you. So I wanted to make you feel better." She said, then frowning, thinking that it was a bad idea, but that all changed when Bilbo pulled her into a hug.
"Oh, sweetie...you always know how to brighten my day." He smiled, having a hand cupped on the back of her head, which she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck to return the hug.
00~00
Bilbo was reading his favorite book, having his reading glasses on with a blanket half covering his body as it was raining outside, Lily fast asleep in her room. The thunder boomed gently outside. He sighs gently, flipping a page-
There was a scream from the room.
It was from Lily's room.
"Lily!?" Bilbo asked, placing his book down while getting to Lily's room. He couldn't see her on her bed, since the bed sheets were scattered across the bed. "Lily? It's me, where are you?" He asked and then he managed to see Lily underneath her cupboard, shaking like a leaf while covering her ears. Tears were rolling down her cheeks as she whimpered, crying silently to herself.
"Lily? Hey, sweetie, are you okay?" He asked. Lily looks at him, about to answer, then let out a slight squeak when thunder boomed gently outside of their home. That's when Bilbo understood what happened.
"Hey, hey...it's okay." He smiled sadly, gathering her into his arms, not surprised at all when Lily buried her face into the crook of his neck, still shaking like a leaf. He hushed her, stroking her silky black hair as Lily was sobbing into his shoulder. "Take it you don't like storms, huh?" He asked and Lily shook her head, still trembling in the embrace.
He managed to pick her up and placed her down on the bed, then laid down next to her. "It's okay. The storm won't get you in here." He whispered, pressing a kiss against her forehead as she kept hugging him tightly as she could, still crying into the crook of his neck. She whimpered again, flinching when thunder boomed outside of their home.
"Shhh," He kissed her forehead again, stroking her silky black hair, "It's alright, I got you...I got you." He whispered. He stayed with her until he heard soft breathing from her. He looks down at her to see that she was asleep. He smiled, kissing her forehead before sleep got the best of him and he fell asleep.
Bilbo smiled at the memory, not seeing Lily waking up as she hugged his chest. He looks down at her and he smiled, stroking her hair. Lily smiled, sighing in content as she hugged him, closing her eyes.
Of course, it was interrupted when a mighty roar was heard, startling them both. Lily looks up to see Alduin roaring, then hovered as he looks down at her. Lily pulled away from her father, looking up at the large black dragon as his powerful wings were making powerful winds against them, Lily having her arm over her eyes to look at him. "Alduin! What is the meaning of this!?" She shouted.
"Zu'u lost kosaan bel naal dii zeymah wah kuz hi wah faal Okulom. (7)" Alduin said in dragon tongue, then he growled a bit in irritation when Lily had a confused look on her face. "You do not know our tongue, do you? Such arrogance...to even call you a Dovah Jud. ALL dovahs have to you learn our tongue...this is going to be more difficult to train you more for the outcomes you will take." He growled. Before Lily could say anything, Aludin swooped down and grabbed her with his talon like claws and picked her up, flying in the air.
"Lily!" Bilbo shouted, seeing her being taken away, only Alduin's mighty roar being heard.
"Alduin, let me go! I can fly on my own, do NOT treat me like I'm some dragon hatchling!" Lily shouted, still struggling in Alduin's clutches, which she was muted out by Alduin, who kept growling. He was starting to grown tiresome of her now. But the sooner he could get to the Solitude, the sooner he's done being her 'transport' and that made him growl.
He still hates the idea of a mortal riding dragons and some dragons allow themselves to be ridden by filthy mortals. It was a disgrace to him and he'll make sure that it stays as it is, not letting anyone ride upon his back.
As he made it to the Solitude, he hovers and drops Lily roughly on the ground, but she was caught by Paarthurnax, who smiled gently at her when he caught her by the scruff of her shirt with his teeth and he sets her down gently.
"Alduin, there is no need to have your anger and ignorance against her. She is one of us now and I suggest that you keep your temper in check." Paarthurnax warned and that made Alduin growled in arrogance.
"She is but a mere mortal! How you and our brothers let her ride upon your backs is nothing but dishonor to us dovahs! Remember the last time you let a mortal in the sanctuary!? Or have you forgotten about that!?" Alduin shouted and the elder dragon sighed.
"Yes...I do remember...but that does not mean that Lily is the same, Alduin." He said, making Alduin growl and then flew off, roaring in the distance. Lily looks at Alduin until he was in his cave. Paarthurnax looks down at Lily, knowing that she had questions on what happened, wondering why Alduin has anger against her for unknown reasons. "...Paarthurnax, why does he not like me? I don't know what I did to anger him."
"It has nothing to do with you, young Dovah. It has...something that happened in the past. Before you were born, we let one human here to study more on the dovahs, since his mind was more curious than it has been to the ancient creatures. His name was Vainslon, and he was just nearly your age when he came to us. One day...he thought that dragons blood grants people immortality." Paarthurnax spoke, managing to grab Lily gently with his tail and place her upon his back.
"...is it true? About the dragon blood, I mean." She said.
"It is not entirely true. Yes, it does grant you powers, but not immortality, but the form of a dragon. One night, he tried to take some blood from one of us and Alduin saw this and tried to take him out of the Solitude. When I interfere, Vainslon targeted me and managed to hit me, making Alduin's anger grew in him. Vainslon was killed by Alduin's clutches...he never trusted mortals since then."
Lily's looks at the cave where Alduin lies, sighing sadly.
As the night slowly grew, Lily was by herself in the Solitude, sitting by the river and looks at her reflection. She kept thinking of the story Paarthurnax told her of why Alduin hates mortals and does not take her kindly, even when she is a dragon queen. She hoped that one day, that he could see things differently and not all mortals are not all bad.
She starts to stand up-
"Lily..."
She gasped, looking around. "Who's there?" She asked, getting out her staff in case that she needs help.
"Lily...come to me..."
She shivered at the voice, but she found her legs walking towards the sound, wondering who is calling to her. She was scared and yet curious at the same time. Something was telling her to run...but yet, something tells her to see it, the source of who's calling her and she can't help but reach out to it. The voice was getting louder when she kept walking towards the sound.
"Come to me, my sweet child...there is no need to fear...you will be safe with me..." Lily saw a grounded area by some trees, but they were shriveled up, dead leaves on the branches. Everything around the source but the grass felt nothing but death. She saw a sign on the ground, written in black symbol writing; dark ooze coming out of it. A dark, oozing tentacle came out of the ground slowly, a hissing sound can be heard from it, which it came close to Lily, caressing her cheek gently.
"It is alright, my child...you will be safe if come and stay with me, my sweet...innocent...young Lily..." It hissed gently, and Lily could find herself shaking, but was unable to move. She wanted to run, get away from whatever is calling her, but she couldn't.
The tentacle started to wrap itself around her. "I'll take care of you...I'll make sure no one ever hurts you anymore...you can be away from all of the sadness...the fears, everything...if you join me..." It hissed again, still caressing her cheek, Lily not knowing that it was starting to constrict her.
Lily was shaking even more, now seeing the eyes of a large beast that she doesn't know, which it was staring down at her with hallucinating blood red eyes that seemed to stare down at her very soul. "I'll make sure that you will not be hurt..." It starts to grin evilly, baring it's large, black sharp teeth, which black ooze drool out of it's mouth.
Lily was terrified.
Absolutely terrified.
"Aww, don't be afraid of me, Lily...I'll make sure...that you will live...in a harmless...afterlife." It starts to lunged at her-
"FEY HOND NOL EK, SIVAAS! (8)"
A jet stream of fire blasted at the demon, making it roar out in pain and drops Lily, making her gasping as she was out of the trance. The demon kept roaring, trying to slash at whatever was hidden in night sky, but could not see. It kept roaring out in pain when a jet stream of flames hits it once more and Lily covered her eyes when a huge gust of wind surrounds them and a thud was heard.
Alduin roared, baring his teeth and hissed. "You stay away from her or I will make sure that you will FEAR of surfacing again!" Alduin shouted, his wings expanded to show how powerful and strong he is. The demon hissed, baring it's black teeth at him and Alduin bared his teeth as well. Lily looks at Alduin, then at the demon.
It roared at Alduin, which he roared back and released a jet stream of flames at it, making it roar out in pain. Alduin looks back at Lily and he grabs her by the scruff of her shirt with his teeth and took off, not letting the demon get a chance to react at all, but it hissed at him and starts to chase Alduin, growing wings upon it's illuminating back.
Alduin looks back and cursed in dragon tongue, since he won't be able to attack it with Lily's shirt in his teeth...which can only lead to one thing, making him growl in arrogance.
With much hatred and annoyance as it was to the situation, he tossed her up in the air and Lily lands on right behind his head, Lily holding onto his horns as he starts to climb up higher and higher into the sky, the demon chasing after them, roaring.
"What is that thing!?" She yelled out from the gust of winds, seeing how fast Alduin was flying as he kept flying higher and higher into the clouds. The demon roared, forming more black oozing tentacles to shoot at them and Alduin twirled, avoiding the hits.
"A Drookian. This one has the ability to hypnotize their victims and kills them. You are LUCKY that I was near the area!" Alduin said, managed to glare at her of her idiocy and she winced, but she ducked when one tentacle nearly got her. Alduin needed to lose the demon and fast and with only one option in mind, he tucked his wings and dove down, Lily holding on while the demon gave chase, also diving down. As Alduin dived, his speed was increasing more and more, making it a bit difficult for Lily to hold on.
She saw a lake and she tensed.
"Alduin! Lake!"
He ignored her warnings and dove down in the lake and the demon stilled, seeing the water and tried to fly up, but it was diving too fast and it roared out. It was weak against water and it tried to fly up, but it was too late as it crashed into the lake, a horrific screech heard from the demon as it dissolves into nothing until silence for a moment.
Alduin surfaced, Lily still holding on as she was coughing and gasping, still holding onto Alduin's horns as he swims to the shores and walked, growling and dropped to the ground from exhaustion, breathing heavily through his snout. Lily slid off of him, coughing up some of the water that was trapped in her throat. The black dragon looks at her, still breathing heavily through his snout, water dripping off of his scale and body.
"...you...okay...?" She asked, breathing heavily and he nods, still breathing heavily from exhaustion. "...and you...dovah jud?" He asked and she gives him a thumbs up, not saying anything as she tries to catch her breath. They were both silent after a minute when they caught their breath. Alduin looks up at the sky, the clouds clearing away to see nothing but the bright stars and the sky aura that glows through the mountains.
"...Alduin, I...thank you...for saving me..." Lily suddenly said, not looking at him.
"...don't let it think that this is going to be a thing for us." He snorted. still looking at the starry night sky and she looks at the starts with him. Lily glanced at the black dragon and sighs. "...Paarthurnax told me what happened years ago...and I'm sorry...that you saw your brother got hurt. But that does not mean that I'm not like him, Alduin. I will not hurt you, Paarhturnax, Smaug or any dragon that are allied with me. You have my word, Alduin..." She said, Alduin still staring at the starry night sky. She sighs sadly, hugging her knees.
"...Zu'u kaat...(9)" Lily said and Alduin glances at her, hearing her speak in dragon tongue. He sighs deeply, then turned his head towards her, which she was staring at the ground, still a bit shaken up from the demon incident.
She then suddenly felt a snout pressed against her cheek and she looks to see Alduin pressing his snout against her cheek, his eyes closed while purring silently. Lily looks at him so surprised and so shocked at the same time, never seeing Alduin act like this. But maybe this was instinct to dragons with a dragon queen. She looks at him, wondering.
So very slowly, she starts to scratch underneath his chin and he purred in bliss and she smiled, kept scratching underneath his chin. He purred a bit louder, his eyes closed in bliss and Lily chuckled a bit under her breath. Perhaps that he wasn't as aggravating as he appears.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention." Paarthurnax said to Alduin, looking at him before looking at Lily and nods at her, growling softly before taking off. Lily looks at Paarthurnax when he turned his attention to her. "...Paarthurnax, I...I'm sorry...if...if Alduin didn't show..."
"Do not fret, young one. You had no knowledge of how to kill a Drookian and there is no shame for that. I was just glad that Alduin was near and took care of it." He said, stretching his neck towards her and gave her a gentle nudge and she smiled, placing her hand on his snout and he closed his eyes, purring in bliss and she smiled. "...Paarthurnax...could...could you teach me how to speak in dragon? I don't know a lot of the words, but I am willing to learn." She said and the dragon chuckled.
"I see...tell me, Dovah Jud. Which words speaks to you most to least; Fus, Feim, or Yol?" He asked, making Lily think for a moment. He could tell that she was thinking and he chuckled a bit under his breath.
"...is...is it okay if...?"
"To hear all three?"
She nods and he chuckled. He grabs her gently by the scruff of her shirt with his teeth and placed her gently on his back before flying off into the sky. "This is the first time I've been asked to learn and hear all three. But if you wish to learn all three, than I shall grant you the knowledge." Paarthurnax said, flying high into the sky until perching on a boulder, where they both could see the Solitude. Many of the dragons were either relaxing, practice fights for future battles or flying and Lily was amazed.
"Feim is 'Fade' in your tongue. Mortals have affinity for this Word than the dov. Everything mortal fades away in time, but the spirit remains. Ponder the meaning of Spirit. Where the mortals flesh may wither and die, the spirit endures. From this word, you may find that your spirit will give you more strength. Fum is called 'Force' in your tongue. But as you push the world, so does the world push back. Think of the way of force be applied effortlessly. Imagine but a whisper pushing aside all in it's path. Fum will let you push the world harder than it pushes back." Paarthurnax looks up, including Lily when a dragon flew above them, roaring loudly at the sky.
"...and Yol...it means fire, right?"
"Yes. It is a given form. Power at its most primal. Basically, Yol is power. You have it as well, as do all dovahs, but power is inert without action or choice. Think of this as the fire builds in your su'um, in your breath. What will you burn? What will you spear? Those are the meanings of Fum, Feim and Yol. Let the knowledge flow your spirit and blood, young Dovah Jud. And with it, you shall be unique in all of the world."
Lily looks at the sky, smiling as she let the words of the dragon tongue run through her body and blood. Paarthurnax watches from above of where he is perched, watching the dragons in the Solitude. He felt Lily leaning forward a bit, her elbows resting on the top of his head and she rested her head on her hands, watching the horizon with Paarthurnax.
"...Paarthurnax...what if I can't do it? What if...what if I can't beat them?" She asked suddenly.
"Your answer will come in time...just be patient my young one."
She nods, sighing, watching the clouds passing by.
00~00
Lily was back in Erebor, laying on the bed next to Thorin as he was wide awake, her back pressed to his chest with one arm around her waist, stroking it gently with his thumb. She told Thorin everything of what she had learn and he was in deep thought as well of the situation.
"...Thorin, I don't know what to do..." She whispered. He blinks slowly, looking at her. He then pressed a kiss against her cheek and she turned her head slightly to look at him and he smiled slightly. She managed to smile back, turning towards him and rest her forehead against his shoulder.
"...you're smart...you'll figure it out soon enough." He simply said. Lily nods, yawning as she lets slumber took control of her. He also closed his eyes, sighing deeply while tightening his grip slightly around Lily.
Soon, slumber took control over them both and they fell into a sleep.
Okay, this chapter is done and over with. I really had no other ideas for this chapter, so in the next chapter, I will add actions to it.
And I have news!
I am working on a sequel to this story, which will take place during the Lord of the Rings Trilogy! Still working on some of the plots, but I got it going on with a rough draft and I will upload them as soon as I am done with this story.
So in the next chapter,
Lily is finally a true dragon alpha, but that does not mean that danger is not over for her yet. Not only with the orcs still raging among Middle Earth, even with Azog the Defiler gone. And not only that, the Drookians are starting to show themselves as well, so Lily, the dragons and many of the races have to be ready for them.
A raging battle between the Queen of the Drookians and the Alpha of the Dragons in one battle.
Until then,
