Chapter 16 is here.
Lily is starting to get to the idea of being a dragon alpha, learning new things from the dragons around her and at the same time, being with her loved ones. She knows that sooner or later, that she will face her 'parents' soon, who are known to be king and queen of the Drookians, an ancient race that kills everything in it's path.
So what will happen now when she does face them?
Will she win...or all will be lost?
And alas, this will be the last chapter of this story. I will try to work on the sequel to the story, but I am also going to write a Team Fortress 2 one and yes, it will be a Spy/OC pairing. There will be laughs, shooting, drama, action, exlposions, sandwiches (Heavy: SANDVICH!) robots, hybrids and so much more!
But I want to thank you all for following this story and commenting on it.
"Give your king this message. The dragons will overcome him! We will be his end! I will be his slayer! I will be his end!"
"Leave now while you still have your lives!"
Chapter 16. The Battle of The Dragon and the Drookian Queens
Lily smiled, her head resting against Thorin's lap, which he was leaning against a tree, sighing deeply as his hand was carding through Lily's hair. He was lost in deep thought, hearing nothing but the works from the Smith's forge in Dale, birds chirping and the occasion sounds of children's laughter.
"...keep that up and you're face will stay like that if you think too hard, Thorin." Lily said, her eyes closed while smiling. He blinks, looking down at her as she smiled a bit at him.
"You should be the one to talk about thinking too hard. You do it all the time."
"But you're a dwarf."
"You're a dragon."
"Half dragon actually. So it really doesn't work on me." She chuckled, squeezed his hand gently and he chuckled. He brought her hand up and kissed her knuckles and she smiled, closing her eyes once more. He looks back up at the sky, seeing no clouds in the sky to disturb the sky's peace. He sighs softly, but then smiled a bit when Lily kissed his hand as well.
He leaned down to kiss her and she smiled, kissing him back, having one hand on his cheek.
"Thorin!"
Both Lily and Thorin jolted out of their moment, seeing Dwalin coming over to them. "What is it, Dwalin? We are busy-"
"It's urgent! Something is coming our way and is crash landing over in the courtyard of Erebor!" Dwalin said and that got their attention. Both of them stood up and ran after Dwalin, who was leading them to the courtyard of Erebor, where most of the herbs to make healing ointments and other potion ingredients they need. "What is it that's coming?" Lily asked.
"We don't know. Someone saw something loomed over and it's heading straight here." He said, the dwarves getting their weapons out, Lily having her staff in hand so that they are prepared of whatever is coming. As soon as a minute passed, something loomed over above them, roaring and then crash landed, a cloud of dust and dirt in the air, making everyone cover their eyes. When Lily was the first to see when the clouds cleared, she stilled in horror; her skin color changed to pale white of what she saw.
It was Paarthurnax...
...but he was injured deeply, having scars and wounds all over his body and he was breathing heavily from exhaustion.
"PAARTHURNAX!" She dropped her weapon, running towards him and placed a hand on his head, which he flinched a bit, whining. "Shh...it's okay...you-you're going to be alright, okay?" She choked a bit, getting out a spell from her hand and started the ancient dragon healing. Paarthurnax looks at her weakly, his breathing still heavy from exhaustion and weakness.
"Please don't die..." She choked, still trying to heal the elder dragon's wounds. His eyes started to close his eyes slowly.
"Don't you dare die, Paarthurnax! I am giving you orders as alpha to stay awake!" She shouted, still trying to heal his wounds. Paarthurnax kept looking at her with weak eyes, breathing heavily as she kept trying to heal his wounds. Everyone wanted to help her, but they could see the wounds slowly closing from her attempts. When she was done, she was swaying, her color drained from her healing dragon magic.
Paarthurnax caught her with his snout, growling softly and he let her lean against him when she passed out from exhaustion. He curled his tail around her, also closing his eyes and falling asleep.
Everyone look at each other, confused on what happened.
00~00
Lily felt something nudging her gently and she groaned in response.
"Dovah Jud...I know that you are tired...but you need to wake up..." A familiar voice said and she starts to open her eyes, groaning a bit. She then saw familiar gentle-bluish yellow eyes. She then gasped to see Paarthurnax looking at her, growling softly. "Paarthurnax!" She hugged his head as the best she could, sobbing into his scaly head, which he nuzzled her, purring softly.
"Do not cry, my youngling...I am alright, thanks to you..." He said gently, feeling the alpha tightening her grip around him and so, he turned human, returning the hug properly, but as tightly as she was hugging him. She still sobbed against his shoulder, which he clenched his eyes shut, his nose buried into her hair as he took a deep breath. He hated the idea of leaving the young woman all alone without his guidance and his protection. She was already like a grandchild to him and his dragon heart nearly broke of what she almost endure.
She didn't want to lose another friend that was like family to her.
He soon heard the sobs tuned down, her shivering dying down as well as she was now taking deep breaths to calm herself, which he rubbed his hand up and down against her back. "Are you alright, now?" He asked, which she nodded against his shoulder and he smiled. He gently pulled away so that he could look at her, smiling at her gently and rest his forehead against hers, looking at her eyes.
"I know that you are heart broken of what you have endured, but it will take more than simple wounds to take me down. I will not abandon you, Lilian...and that is a promise as a dovah." He said, then kissed her forehead. She nods, sniffing as she wipe her face with her wrist, then chuckled sadly. "Why am I so emotional over everything?"
"There is no shame in that, Lilian..." He said, brushing the bangs out of her eyes. She smiled just a tad bit, leaning against him and he smiled. "...what happened to you?" She asked suddenly and he tensed, but then sighed, looking down at her, still hugging her gently.
"...I ran into a Drookian on my way...but it wasn't the one that gave me the wounds...Lilian...there is...a group...that has a grudge against us...mostly me. They are called the 'Blades' suppose to be protectors...and I came across them and they tried to take me down, but I managed to get away...that's when I crashed landed here..."
He felt Lily tighten her grip on him and he did the same. "...Lily, if you ever meet one of the Blades, do not help them...because they will kill any dragon that comes across them...understand?" He asked and she nodded against his shoulder and he smiled, letting Lily pull away from her. He then stood up, transforming back to his normal form and he stilled, perking his head up.
"What is it?"
"...Drookians...they're on the march...along with their queen..." Lily stilled at the queen, knowing that it is her birth mother. "...so it is time..."
"Yes..."
Lily took a deep breath, calming herself and looks at Paarthurnax. "...then I am ready...if it means for me to stop them...then I am ready, Paarthurnax." She said, which the dragon smiled proudly at her.
"Good."
"Lily..."
"I know what you are going to say, Thorin. You're not changing my mind. I have to go..."
Lily was back in Erebor, changing into her uniform to face the Drookian queen as Thorin looks at her. When Lily placed her shoulder plates on her, she felt Thorin's hand holding her hand and she looks over at him.
"If she isn't stop...then all it is lost, Thorin...I have to stop her...and soon...my 'father' as well...I have to stop them, Thorin..." She said, closing her eyes as he rest his forehead against hers. She took a deep breath, pressing her forehead a bit firmer against Thorin's and he smiled a bit. He then kissed the tip of her nose, then she kissed her on the lips, which she kissed back.
He smiled in the kiss, placing his hand on her cheek.
"My mistress..." She pulled away to see Alduin hovering above the window, outside of their bedroom. "The army is near...we must leave now...your dovah army is ready as well..." He then flew off. She looks over at Thorin, who nods and he kissed her one last time before she left. Smaug looks over at her when she exits the castle of Erebor, which he had his silver armor on him and he growls softly, looking at her.
She smiled gently before petting his snout and he leaned into the touch, purring softly.
"Lily..."
She turns around and was surprised to see Thorin, along with the thirteen dwarves, Gandalf and her father herself. They were in their armor, weapons at hand to get ready, which meant...
"...guys, I know what you're thinking and I don't think-"
"If you think we're letting you go through this alone, then you're wrong, lass." Balin said, smiling gently at her. She was surprised, her father walking up to her and gently took her hand, smiling gently. "...I know that I said that I would be leaving today back to Shire...but not while my daughter goes out fighting a queen from an ancient race...now without help from us..."
"Dad..."
He smiled at her and Lily looks over at Thorin and company, who still had their weapons at hand. She then smiled gently. "...thank you...all of you." She smiled, having her staff at hand. She turns over to Smaug, who looks at her, his pupils slender and yet wide at the same time, growling softly. Lily took a deep breath before settling onto Smaug's back, right above his shoulder blades and he looks at her.
"Let's go, Smaug..." She said and he stood up, growling. He then stood on his hind legs, expanding his large, bat-like wings and lets out the loudest roar he could muster before taking off, the other dragons that joined her flying off as well behind her. Some of the dragons that stayed behind grab the dwarves, Gandalf and Bilbo, flying off into the air.
Lily took a deep breath and Smaug looks at her, growling softly. She looks back at his golden-fire like eyes and she smiled a tad bit, patting his side gently. "I'm fine, Smaug...just a bit tense is all." She smiled, stroked his side gently and he purred a bit, turning his head to her and leaned forward to press his snout against her cheek, still purring a tad bit.
00~00
The army of dragon stood in a mast field, Lily now on Paarthurnax's back as they waited for the Drookian army to come and Lily took a deep breath, her staff in one hand and one hand still clenching onto one of the spikes that grew on Paarthurnax's back.
"My queen...I know that you are scared of doing this...but I have faith in you..." He said, turning his head to look at her. She looks at him, then nods and took a deep breath, closing her eyes. "...sorry, Paarthurnax...it's...it's just that...I'm facing my mother...the one that brought me into this world and soon, I have to face my father...I-I don't know if I can't do this..." She trailed off and suddenly felt the ancient dragon pressed his snout against her cheek.
She hugged his head the best she could and he lets her, purring softly, then he pulled back; his eyes narrowed. "Get ready..."
Lily saw shadow holes forming on the ground, black ooze forming around it, making the dragons back up a bit as demon beasts of the Drookians came out of the portals, roaring and growling, saying things in tongue that Lily couldn't understand. Black tentacles oozed out of the portals, one large spider-like leg coming out of the portal and Lily tensed up, but kept her eyes firmed.
It revealed to be a large spider-like demon, which was much bigger than Paarthurnax himself and he narrowed his eyes; growling lowly as he backed up. "Ah, Paarthurnax...see that you are still alive to believe that all hope will come for your kind..." The spider demon hissed, acid-like drool coming off from it's fangs, the voice was female like, but was hoarse and spine chilling.
(A/N: I really can't describe Angela's form, so if you go on Google images and type in Silitha from DarkSiders, that is what she looks like. It's really hard for me to describe what she looks like)
"Angela...Queen of the Drookians...see that you decided to take form of what you truly are from your black heart..." He growled and Lily stilled. The spider demon...is her MOTHER!? Lily got off of Paarthurnax's back, looking at the Drookian queen and she saw the evil 'smirk' from the Drookian queen. "Ah...the Dragon Alpha finally decides to face her faith...death from my grasp. You barely survive from one of my scouts without that black dragon, Alduin from saving you."
The Drookian queen circled her, Lily telling the dragons to back away and they obliged, letting Lily deal with the queen. "...I know that we had to face each other...but if faith decides me to kill you...then so be it." Lily said, having her staff in her hand. That only made the Drookian Queen laugh.
"Do you really think that you can defeat me? The Dark queen of the Middle Earth!? Even if you can kill me...my husband will go after you and when he does...he'll be three times harder than I will ever be!" Angela hissed and Lily kept her guard up, but on the inside she was scared of all of this and the queen could sense it.
"You should fear me...because no one has defeated me yet...and I will make sure...that your death will be quick!" She screeched, sending Lily flying off to the side when she swiped at her with one of her giant spider-like leg, making her hit against a stone hard that it left a crack, making her cough up blood and she stood up slowly, holding onto one arm. The Drookian queen screeched at her, charging and Lily barely had enough time to dodge her when she rammed at her.
"HOLD STILL, LITTLE ONE!" She screeched, trying to attack her with her legs and Lily kept dodging each one, barely making it out but some will hit her. The dragons were roaring, as well as the Drookians as the two rulers battle each other, but Lily was having small progress because the dark queen was bigger than her and Lily did not have the same speed as she did.
"It seems that you are falling to your knees, 'Dragon alpha'. Do you take defeat? And become my eternal slave for all of eternity? Or would you die and become a failure to all mortal and immortal kind? To the dragons who all follow you... who now think that you are a failure?" The Dark queen smirked, pinning Lily down with one of her spider leg and Lily struggled to push her off, but she was so weak from the wounds that were bleeding, but Lily was getting weaker and weaker by the second, her strength losing and the dark queen knows it, while she was starting to screech with victory.
"Lily..."
Lily stilled, hearing the voice in her head and it was...familiar.
"...grandpa..."
"Lily...use your gift...unleash it...to become the true dragon queen of Middle Earth."
The queen suddenly hissed, feeling Lily pushing one of her spider legs off of her, Lily's pupils now slit, baring her now dragon-like teeth. He body starts to shift-shape, light glowing around her and the dark queen steps back, hissing from the light and everyone shielded their eyes from the blind light. After what it seems like forever, the light fades away, only to have a dragon in place, but the eyes were mismatched of ice and fire.
The scales were pure white like snow, the sun's reflection shining on the scales to show it's beauty and it's armor. The wings having a silver spark to them as they were expanded, a white gem on the center of her chest that was fitted into leather armor that was bestowed on her, her talon-like claws digging into the ground and bared her teeth at the Drookian queen and lets out a loud roar, which was a high pitch and a low roar at the same time.
The Drookian queen screeched back, now feeling threatened from Lily's presence as the slit mismatched eyes glared straight into her red-soulless eyes. The two queens then charged at each other, claws and teeth going into each other's skin to take one of the two down. Lily roared, biting down against Angela's neck, which she lets out a screech and rammed her leg against the dragon's side. She roared out again, flapping her wings to create a gust to sting the Drookian Queen's eyes, which she screeched out.
Lily rammed at her side, making her land on her side and Lily kept biting down against her neck, which she kept screeching and kept trying to get Lily off of her. One of her legs managed to stab into Lily's side and she roars out in pain and then bites down harder into her neck, making the dark queen screech out louder in pain. The drookian warriors didn't know what to do, but tried to add their queen, only to be stopped by the dragons that attacked them.
Everyone was in battle.
The dwarves, Gandalf and Bilbo, the drookians, the dragons, and the queens of the two races. Lily roars out at the dark queen, ramming at each other with the strengths they have left within them. The dark queen screeched at Lily, charging at her and Lily closed her eyes, focusing, then glared at the dark queen. Lily inhaled and released white flames at the queen, which she screeched out in pain, but not from the fire that burns against her skin, but the brightness from the white fire burns her eyes. Lily roared and bit down on the queen's neck, this time, not letting go.
The dark queen screeched out, trying to get Lily off of her but Lily would just bite down harder and harder and the dark queen lets out the largest and loudest screech she could until Lily twisted her neck, hearing a bone snap and the dark queen stilled.
Her body went limp.
Lily lets go of the body, and she glared at the body of the Drookian queen. She raised her reptile foot up and stomped down on the queen's head, which it smashed down from the brute force, black blood and bits and pieces of the meat from the head scattering across the ground.
Everyone stopped battling, hearing the squished sound.
The Dark Queen is dead.
The drookians looks at Lily, fear within their eyes as they saw their queen dead.
Lily stood up on her hind legs, her wings expanded and lets out the loudest roar she could muster which it echoed through the sky, sounding like thunder. She then glared at the Drookians that were still standing at the battlefield.
"Ofan hin jun daar funrah. Dovah fen nahmul mok! Mu fen kos ok oblaan! Zu'u fen kos ok kriid! Zu'u fen kos ok oblaan!(1)" Lily roared out at the Drookians, which they stilled and cowered at her presence, the queen's body fading from blackness into nothing.
"Lif nu fod hi tul lost hin lahney! (2)" Lily shouted, making all of the Drookians flinched once more and disappeared. Lily growled, her pupils now turning to slender, then widen as the power disappeared from her, which she started to sway heavily from blood lost and from using too much of her dragon spirit. She nearly fell, but Thorin managed to catch her fall, looking at her. "I got you..." He said, which she smiled weakly at him. He brushed the bangs out of her eyes as some of the dragons started the healing ritual to heal their mistress' wounds.
Lily looks at Thorin, sleep seeming to call to her as she struggled to stay awake. "Rest now, my Ghivashel...you've earned it." Thorin said, then kissed her before Lily fell asleep; darkness seeping over her.
Lily started to flutter her eyes open, groaning when she felt her entire body was sore from the battle. It ached so much that she could barely move. Her eyes started to open slowly, feeling some weight next to her. She turned her head slightly to see Thorin, who was asleep, his head resting against the bed, but one of his hand was holding hers.
She smiled weakly, a tear ran down her cheek. She then noticed her father asleep as well, but on the other side of the bed, breathing softly in his sleep and she could see the grey bags under his eyes, knowing that he must have been awake for awhile, trying to wait for her to wake up. Then she felt something shifted underneath her cheek a bit. She looks down at the source.
Smaug was in a small form, his tail curled upon his side as half of his head was buried into the crook of Lily's neck, the purrs vibrating from his throat while he slept was a calming source for her. His foot twitched in his sleep, still purring softly in his sleep while he resettled himself in his sleep. With some strength she gathered, she managed to rest her free hand on his back and stroked him gently. The purrs seemed to get louder when she started to stroke his back. He cracked one eye open and raised his head up to see his mistress finally awake.
He hurred, nudging and nuzzling her cheek and she smiled weakly, a tear ran down her cheek and he seemed to saw the tear and he licked it off of her cheek, still purring. She pulled the small fire drake closer, putting him into a half hug, since her other arm is occupied with Thorin's hand that was holding hers. She closed her eyes, tears still rolling down her cheeks as the fire drake kept nudging and nuzzling her.
"You were unconscious for nearly a week..." Smaug said, still purring as Lily kept running her hand across his neck and back with the strength she had left. Bilbo fluttered his eyes open and then saw Lily awake.
"Lily!" He hugged her and Lily winced from her body still aching. "Sorry..." He said, but still kept hugging her gently and she leaned her head against his chest, leaning into the touch. "Dad..." More tears ran down her cheek, Smaug looking at between the two since he was still held in his empress's embrace, her father hugging her as well. "How are you feeling?" Bilbo asked, pulling away a bit to look at her.
"...like I've been hit by a troll..." She said, her voice hoarse from unconscious for a week, which he smiled sadly and kissed her forehead. "I figured...but all that matters is that you're safe." He said, hugging her once more and she rest her forehead against his shoulder, sighing. Thorin blinked his eyes open, then saw Lily awake. "Lily..." Thorin said and Lily pulled away from her father to see Thorin awake. He squeezed her hand gently and she smiled a bit.
He smiled back and she rest her forehead against his and he lets her, his thumb stroking the top of her hand and she smiled tiredly, giving him a small kiss on the nose. He smiled and give her a kiss, which she managed to kiss back, but then felt a sudden rush of dizziness and she had to pull away, her forehead resting against his shoulder.
"You alright, Lily?" Bilbo asked, rubbing her back and Lily shook her head. "...I don' feel good..." She managed to say. Thorin helped her lay back down, Smaug crawling up to the side of her head, purring softly.
"Rest now...you need it..." Thorin said, giving her a kiss on the forehead before leaving. Bilbo stroked her hair one last time before leaving as well. She looks over at Smaug, who hurred and licked the tip of her nose, which she smiled tiredly before sleep got the best of her and she was out, sleeping off from the fight that happened and Smaug as well, closed his eyes and purred softly, a small stream of smoke coming out from his nose as he slumber as well.
00~00
The town of Erebor was still in progress of rebuilding everything in the city, the dragons assisting some of the humans with log carrying, catching fish or staying in the armory where Dwalin was helping Bofur, Balin and Nori with building items, molding material or weapons in general in case an orc or worse, a Drookian came and got them.
A rather large, lazy dragon was in the forge, snoring away as it was near the fire pit. "GRUMP!"
It startled awake, hurring in question.
"Ya let the forge died out again!" Dwalin said, making Grump roar softly, trying to turn his body to the forge until he light it up in flames, making Dwalin groan in progress and puts out the fire that missed the forge. "You're going up for adoption if you keep this up!" He grumbled, the dragon going back to sleep. Dwalin shook his head, going back to work.
When he looked up, he smiled a bit.
Lily had a cane to support her walking, Smaug next to her with his snout underneath her other arm, trying to help her walk. "Well, look who is up." He grumbled, but with affection and Lily smiled a bit.
"...see that Grump is helping you with the forge." Lily chuckled, looking at the sleeping dragon. She managed to walk over to the dragon and it cracked one eye open, hurring happily and wagged his stubby tail. She pets his snout and he purred, licking her hand. "Are you sure that you should be up an' about, lass?"
"I've rested long enough, Dwalin. And I never really got the chance to explore Erebor ever since the War." She said, patting Grump's nose one last time before shifting her cane, looking over at Dwalin, smiling a bit. He gruffed in response, but smiled. "Do what you want, then...I ain't stoppin' ya." He said, going back to work until he suddenly felt himself being hugged from behind.
He smiled somewhat and patted Lily's hand in response and she pulled away.
"Let's go, Smaug." She said, Smaug looking at her before following her. He placed his head under her arm again, hurring. She smiled and pets his snout, which he purred in returned. She then heard many of the dragons seeing her returned and roared in progress, landing around her and she looks around, seeing the dragons were landing around her. That is when Lily heard a roar and she looks over to see Alduin, who hovered and landed.
He walks up to her and hurred, then bowed his head, some of his wings expanded a bit. The other dragons also did it as well, bowing their heads before Lily. She smiled a bit, turning into her alpha form, which her fur was white as snow, a spiked-like mane like the Bewilderbeast going down from her neck to her upper back. She snorted a bit, then roared at the sky.
The dragons look at her, then roared at the sky with her. She smiled, looking at the dragons, returning to her human form then felt Smaug nudging her, purring softly. She pets his snout and he purred a bit louder, placing his forehead against her head, his eyes closed. Her eyes were closed as well, her hands placed underneath the drake's bone cheeks; the spiked head smoothed out.
"Lily!"
She pulled away to look at the source to see Thorin, which most of the dragons stepped out of his way so that he can get to the dragoness alpha. She managed to smile at him and managed to walk over without the fire drake's assistant this time and hugged the dwarf king tightly around his neck. Tears were silently falling down her cheeks and he hugged her just as tight as she did.
"Thorin..." Lily whispered and when she pulled away, she was pulled into a kiss by Thorin, which caught her off guard, but she quickly responded back, smiling in the kiss. They pulled away from each other, pressing their foreheads against each other, smiling. "...it seems no matter what I say, you'll do something stubborn and stupid." Thorin chuckled a bit and Lily smiled.
"As if you don't do the same."
He then looks at her, now turning serious and Lily tilted her head. "...Lily...I know that this is too soon...but...will...will you marry me...and become my queen?" He asked, earning a shocked look from Lily, a dark blush on her face. "Thorin..."
"I know, yes...it's soon. But...you make me...feel whole...like I didn't know who I was. But when you came into my life, it changed and you became my light. So, I know that you need time, but I need an answer-"
"Just shut up and kiss me again." She smiled, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "And the answer is yes."
He smirked and kissed her once more, the dragons roaring and the people of Erebor cheering for them.
Lily looks over at the horizon, Smaug next to her as he just lets out ring smokes from his nostril, obviously bored.
"Smaug, look. If you're bored, you can go flying out if you want. I'm not stopping you." Lily simply said, making Smaug look over at her; blinking in response before laying his head back down. Lily looks over at him, then starts to scratch behind his head and he closed his eyes; purring softly.
She then managed to move his head over to her lap, which he still had his eyes closed, purring softly as small stream of smokes coming out of his nostrils. Lily had to chuckle at that, looking at the Fire Drake.
"You are an overgrown cat, you know that?" She commented.
That made Smaug snapped his eyes open and jerked his head at her, giving her an annoyed look. "I do not act like a cat!" He growled in annoyance and that made Lily laugh. "Yes you do, you are even acting like an hatchling!" She laughed, holding her sides and he started to growl in annoyance at her, his eyes narrowed to make him more menacing, but Lily wasn't buying it.
She was still laughing hard-
Lily was suddenly pinned and she was shocked of who it was.
It was a man, his hair curly and pitch black that seemed to glow a bit from the sunlight and she could see dilated pupils that were crystal blue or aqua blue, she couldn't tell, it was a color she couldn't subscribe and his face was sharp and was young looking. He had gloved hands that were holding her wrists, pinning her down on the ground as a dark red cloak was around his shoulder, having a black tunic with a blue shirt underneath it, matching his dark pants and black boots.
"You are playing a dangerous game her, Lily...and I believe that you don't want to put yourself in that situation when it comes to me." His voice said, which was dark and yet...soothing.
"....Smaug?"
He just smirked. "The old one at the Solitude isn't the only one that can change human." Smaug said, then got off of her and looks back over at the horizon. Lily sat up, a somewhat blush on her face and looks over at the Fire Drake, who was now transformed into a human. He looks...
...cute...
She shook her head. What was she thinking, she loves Thorin! Her heart belongs to Thorin. Lily felt hands underneath her chin, making her look up at Smaug, who had a look that she couldn't think of. "...you're thinking too hard. It's annoying." He said, making Lily narrowed her eyes a bit.
"Berk."
"Bint."
"Prat."
She shoved him a bit, who was smirking at her, which she smirked back. They both look at the horizon, peace and quiet for once and the scenery for once enjoyable without anything destroying it. Lily finds it enjoyable, but...
...her heart ache after the battle of the Drookian Queen. She was force to kill her birth mother, then her father next. She didn't think of it until now, and it was making her hurt her heart even more. Smaug seemed to sense her heart hurting and looks over to her. "Alright?"
"Yeah...I'm fine."
He closed his eyes, sighing deeply and before Lily could say or do anything, she felt one arm around her shoulder, pulling her to Smaug. "...you're a terrible liar, you know. The bond we made...I can feel what your heart is feeling. So don't try to lie to me because I always find out." He said, still looking over at the horizon, Lily leaning against him.
Lily was shocked, but she closed her eyes, her arms wrapping around his chest. "...'kay..." Sighing softly, she leaned against her friend, her eyes closed. Smaug just merely sighed, looking at the horizon, occasionally rubbed Lily's shoulder. "...Smaug...can I ask you something?" She asked and Smaug looks down at her. She sighs, her eyes glancing down at her hands.
"...why did you bond with me?"
He looks down at her, somewhat surprised at the question. Where did she thought of something like that? She couldn't possibly-
Oh...
The words of the Drookian Queen haunted her mind, saying how she would be a failure to the dragons when she was nearly killed.
Smaug turned normal, his body curled around her and looks at her eyes when he nudged her head up with his snout. "The only reason why I bonded with you, even when I had a choice to reject it, you were..." He tried to think of the words, staring at the horizon, taking a deep breath. "...you were..." Lily looks up at him, her head tilted.
"...you were just as lonely as I was..."
Lily looked at him surprised as his eyes shined a bit, his pupils widen and yet...there was sadness in there. He pressed his forehead against against her cheek, a sad expression on the fire drake's face. "...I saw your memories, when you were young...you stood out...from the others from that village...I could sense from the sadness in your heart. When I was little, it was...it was just only me, my mother and my father...until...Orcs killed them...and the scale landed on me...everything was a blur until I heard your voice. I wanted to reach out to help you...but I couldn't. Not while I was under the dark lord's wretched spell...you and me, Lily...we are alike." He looks at her, his pupils still widen a bit, not ever surprised when Lily wrapped her arms tightly around the dragon's neck, Smaug looping his head around her to hug her in return.
Lily did her best not to let her emotions get the best of her, feeling her eyes welled up with tears from the Fire Drake's story. She already spilled many of her emotions already and that is enough for a month. Smaug kept his eyes closed, purring softly, which is only a side that only his mistress is allowed to see, no one else. "Thank you..." He heard Lily whisper and he just smiled just a tad bit, giving her a gentle nudge from his snout and they continued to look through the horizon.

Lily was exhausted, her body demanding for rest and she complied for it, laying down in her bed in Erebor. She sighed deeply, closing her eyes as she lets the slumber take over, but then the door opened.
A hand ran through her hair and she cracked one eye open to see Thorin looking at her. She smiled tiredly while Thorin gave her a kiss on her cheek before laying down beside her. He laid down beside her, an arm around her waist and she sighed deeply, a smile on her face while her eyes were closed. "Still tired?" He asked and Lily nodded tiredly, humming softly.
He kissed her cheek once more and she cracked an eye open to look at him. He kissed her once more and she kissed back. He felt her, shifting a bit so she's facing him and he tightened her grip around Lily which she smiled a bit. "...I love you, my Ghivashel." Thorin whispered to Lily and she smiled at him, her eyes shone with happiness and love.
"...I love you too." She whispered, then kissed him once more.
The next day, flower petals flow within the breeze as Lily and Thorin stood in front of an alter, Lily in a snow white dress, Thorin holding her hand as a preacher announce of their wedding. Dragons, humans, dwarves, some elves and her father watching the ceremony proceed. Smaug looks at Lily, his pupils widen a bit as he watched his mistress getting married. He promised he will behave for the time being, not causing a scene...for now.
"From this day, meet...your new King and Queen of Erebor." The preacher smiled and Lily and Thorin shared a tender and soft kiss.
Everyone cheered, the dragons roaring and shooting streams of fire, ice, other elements into the sky, which they were ignited into one which created a massive explosion, then turned into sparkles in the sky as it rained down, the crowd still cheering. Lily had a big smile on her face as her forehead rest against Thorin's, which he smiled back as well.
Later that evening, Lily was hugging her father good-bye. He was going back to the Shire; his old home in Hobbiton. "...you sure you don't want me to come along, dad?" Lily asked, still hugging her father around his shoulders. "No, sweetie, I'll be fine because Gandalf will take me half way until I'm at the Shire providence." He smiled. Lily looks at him, his hands on her cheek as he kissed her forehead. "...I just want you to know that I am very proud of you, Lily. And no matter how old you get, you will always be my little Lilypad." He smiled, which Lily smiled back as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"...come and visit me, okay sweetie?" Lily nods, hugging him tightly again and he hugged her just as tight. When he pulled away, he heard a deep growl behind Bilbo and he tensed. He turned around to see Smaug looking at him, lowering his head. Smaug started to sniff him, getting the top of his head to his face; Bilbo doing his best to keep still of the large fire drake.
Before Lily could stop him, she was astonished of the scene.
Smaug had his eyes closed, his snout pressed against Bilbo's cheek while purring very softly.
"He likes you." Lily smiled and Bilbo looks at the dragon. "...I guess so..." He said, slowly patting the dragon's snout. Smaug then pulled away, his expression unreadable before walking away, growling softly.
Bilbo and Gandalf soon left, Lily sighing softly and sadly as soon as Thorin joined him. "...he is allowed back in Erebor anytime he wants. And we can try to visit him whenever we can." He said, holding Lily's hand and Lily smiled; looking at Thorin. "Thank you, Thorin." She kissed him.
He smiled and kissed her in return, one arm around her waist while Lily's arms went around his shoulders, smiling into the kiss.
This was the beginning of her new life:
The Queen of Erebor,
The Ruler of all Dragons,
...and the girl who had a pure heart that seeps into the King of Erebor, Thorin Oakenshield.
The END!

I am currently working on a sequel to the story, but it may be some time until I post it up because like I said, I am creating a Team Fortress 2 fanfiction, which it will be called: Meet the Rogue
So thank you again for reading this fanfiction of the Hobbit.
