Chapter Nine: Bye Bye Toddler World

A/N: I know! Sorry! haahaha

Saturday morning. Today was the day. The week quickly flew by without anyone noticing until it was time for the antidote. Hermione was nervous. How could she let go of her sweet three-year-old boys? Their relationships with Ron were getting better and better from the past two weeks. What if they forgot all those things? Surely enough they like causing many troubles; like hiding one of the First Year's pet inside one of the first floor's broom closet, or plucking all Mrs Norris's hair and coming up with lame excuses that made Mr Filch furious, or made a candies' deals with Ron, which three of them had to listen to her lecture for an hour when the boys couldn't stop themselves from chattering nonsense and jumping around all night. Despite all of that, she was quite fond of the two toddlers.

"What are you thinking 'Mione?" Ron asked around his mouthful of food. Ron and food will never be separated.

"Nothing serious. I'm just sad." She sighed, watching over the boys who were trying to steal some candies from Pansy's bag. Students nearby smiled at them fondly.

Ron followed her eyes. "Don't worry about them. They will just turn to eight years old, still your little boys."

"What if the potions went wrong? Are they going to suffer for side effects? I should have read about the potions, right?" She couldn't really check for it when she got a handful of toddlers

"Blimey 'Mione. Professor McGonagall knows what she is doing. Ouh by the way, I can't join you. Another detention for Herbology." Ron grinned.

"Yeah. But at least I know what to expect." Hermione responded, ignoring the detention part.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw Draco scrunched his nose. The boys were already dressed in their hooded onesie with snitch logo printed on the front and their name on the back. It was easy for them to mov. The boys toddled to their seat. Draco was currently tasting some sort of candy around his mouth, and scrunched his nose. Then, he grimaced. His face turned green.

"Yuck, Harwy. What is this thing?" Draco whined.

"Hermininy, there is something wrong with Dwayco." He said while tugging on Hermione's robe, gaining his guardian attention.

"What did you eat Draco?" She asked while examined him.

"Don't know. Dwayco and Hawwy found this inside Pan-sies's bag." Harry said, handing her a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.

She sighed. "You two have to be really careful with these. When they say every flavour, they mean every flavour. Go drink your pumpkin juice, Draco. It can help to wash away the flavour."

Pansy quickly made her way towards them, laughing.

"Aha! Serve you right. I know you both had been stealing my candy all this time. So I put that inside my bag."

"Meanie!" the boys shrieked. Draco blew her a raspberry. While Harry stood from his seat, hands on his hips and sending death glare towards Pansy. He, however being pulled by a foreign force.

"Harry darling! I'm sorry I didn't spend much time with you. How are you doing?" Ginny pulled Harry into a hug.

Harry squirmed under her arms. "Help Dwayco!"

Draco hold onto Ginny's skirts from his seat. "Harrwy! Harwy!"

"Eww! Get off from me Death Eater!"

"Ginny!" Ron warned.

"What? He is.."

"Was"

"Whatever. Still death eater."

"Minny, what is Deatf Eat..er"

"Cut it both of you! Ohh nothing Draco. Ginny... "

Before she even finished her word, a very familiar voice from behind make her turn around.

"Ms. Granger, I believe the potion is ready. Meet me at Hospital Wing after breakfast. Don't be late. I have another meeting to attend." Professor McGonagall said while her eyes lingered to the boys. Giving a curt nod, she turned around and exited the Great Hall.

"What is it Hermininy?" The boys asked, looking at her with big innocent eyes.

"Well, we will have a tour to Hospital Wing today!" Hermione exclaimed with fake enthusiasm.

"Yay! Dwayco and Hawwy fly?" Draco asked, not really sure of the meaning but only the 'Wing' word makes him assumed it was flying sort of thing.

"Awhh can I go with you Harry?" Ginny asked, pleadingly.

"No!" Harry said in a stern childish voice that turns out to be quite adorable.

"Awww." Ginny pouted.

"Who awre you?" Draaco asked.

"Your nightmare."

Harry stood on the bench between her and Draco.

"Go away monwstewr."

"Harry, that is Ginny. My sister." Ron introduced.

Ginny waved her hand in a dramatic way. "You didn't remember me? Our memories? Ouh my poor baby."

Harry cringed.

"Come on Harry, Draco. Don't want to be late." Hermione picked Harry up, glaring at Ginny on the way out.

Pansy, who just watched them both and quickly follow Hermione with Draco on her arms.

Upon arriving at Hospital Wing later that morning, they set the boys down. Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey already waiting for them.

"Ahh Ms Granger and Ms Parkinson, you may put them to their respective bed. We will have them sedated after drinking the potion to avoid any side-effect that might hurt them." Madam Pomfrey said before bustling to her office to retrieve the potion.

"I must go now. I'm afraid I can't stay long. Have a nice day Ms Granger and Ms Parkinson. Madam Pomfrey will give you clear instructions on what to do."

"Bye bye Proffeswor McDonald!" the boys chirped, earning a glare from Professor McGonagall before she exited Hospital Wing to attend her meeting.

"Hermininy, awe we going to play here?" Harry asked, looking around the unfamiliar sight of Hospital Wing.

"Yup! We will play here. I'll be the mother and you will do as I ask. Okay?" Pansy interjected. Hermione seemed to be lost of word at the moment.

"Cruel mowther!" Draco chirped. The boys laughed at the Draco's comment.

"Up up you baby hen! Time to play sick!" Pansy said ushering them both up to bed.

"Opps, no no no. No sharing bed. Draco! To the other bed please!" Hermione said, finally came to her sense and playing along with Pansy.

"I'll check on Madam Promfrey." Pansy said, making her way to Madam Pomfrey office.

Hermione grabbed Draco waist before he managed to climb up Harry's bed and lifted him to next bed. How ironic when Madam Promfrey put on maroon bed sheet for Harry and dark green for Draco.

"Meanie mownster" Draco said, struggling in Hermione's arms.

"'Minny! I want to play wif Dwayco." Harry whined, ready to climb out of the bed.

"Oh no you don't!" Hermione said, placing Draco on his bed and rushed towards Harry.

She noticed from the corner of her eyes, Draco also tried to climb out of his bed.

"Pansy! Where are you?!" Hermione yelled. She still struggled to put Harry in his bed.

Five minutes later, Madam Pomfrey came out for her office with Pansy trailing behind her. The boys were bouncing on the bed. They jumped up and down with their plushies scattered everywhere on the bed, which Hermione brought with her earlier.

"I thought I asked you to put them in their respective bed?" Madam Pomfrey asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry Madam Pomfrey. They are not getting used of the idea of being apart for so long." Hermione smiled sheepishly.

"Sit down boys!" Madam Pomfrey instructed. Suprisingly, the boys quickly sit the moment hearing the commanding voice.

Madam Pomfrey huffed and doing the silly wand-waving again, multicoloured charts and wording appeared. The boys cheered and clapped their hands at what they assumed as fireworks.

After a while, Madam Pomfrey said "Well everything is in order. They are in a perfect health. You may give them now Ms Parkinson."

"Good boys get pumpkin juices!" Pansy said while carried two cups of pumpkin juice that Hermione highly suspect it had been mix with their antidotes.

The boys drink the juice without hesitation. Harry grimaced while Draco wrinkled his nose after drinking the juices.

"Yuck, why s'not same wif usual." Draco commented.

Harry tried to get rid of the taste by stucking his tongue like a dog. "Yuf af luf mufmuf."

Pansy rolled her eyes. "I can't understand you Harry. Talk properly without your tongue stuck out."

"Pan-sies awe lousy mama." Harry remarked.

Before Pansy could responds to what she thought as insults, Draco tugged her robe.

"Dwwayco want to sleep." Draco said. He then flopped on his stomach, eyes drooping. The potion did give them a fast reaction.

Seconds later, Harry joined him. It was just matter of seconds 'till the boys sound asleep.

"You might want to remove Draco from Harry's bed. They might not fit after the transformation takes place. And they might be needing another set of clothes." Madam Pomfrey interjected.

She then added "I'll check on their progress every half an hour. They won't wake up for another twelve hours."

"Thank you Madam Pomfrey."

Neither Pansy nor Hermione know what to do. They spend the rest of the day looking after the boys. Hermione filled the rest of her day sitting on the couch beside Harry's bed, reading her newly purchased potion book while Pansy busy painting her nails beside Draco's bed. There was still no progress about the two boys. Madam Pomfrey did mentioned the progress would be slow a process since the antidote takes time adjusting to their immune system.

Pansy had put Draco to his own bed while Hermione had changed them to bigger attire for their transformation. She did discover Harry's room has changed entirely. Two single sized beds were placed at the centre of the room and they got a whole new wardrobe. Hermione and Pansy only left Hospital Wing for lunch and dinner.

"You know, you are quite protective of Draco?" Hermione asked, still did not satisfied with the answer Pansy gave her the last time she asked.

"If you are expecting me to admit that we are lovers, just forget about it Granger. We are not and never will."

"Well, you are Malfoy's date for the Yule Ball."

"I assure you there's nothing going on with us. It was just a friendly date. I do not have a partner back then and so do Draco. Plus, Malfoy is..." Pansy managed to stop herself from spilling the truth.

"Malfoy is what?"

"You know Granger, with all these questions, one might suspect that you had a feeling for him."

"I did not! I'm with Ron!" Hermione replied, gobsmacked.

She then continued. "Well you know Pansy, one also might suspect that you are trying to avoid my question."

"Visiting hour will end soon Ms. Granger and Ms Parkinson. I suggest you two back to your dormitories." Madam Pomfrey interrupted, efficiently cutting them both from arguing.

"But.."

"No buts Ms Parkinson. Rules are rules. I'll take care from here. You may come back tomorrow morning."

Pansy and Hermione exchanged look and finally retreated to their own rooms.
