Thank you for the reviews. :) I feel more like writing when I get them. I don't own J.K. Rowling or Tamora Pierce's worlds. I like playing in them though :) Just so we all know. Harry is 8. I did do some research. I wanted accuracy and its been a while since I read these books.
Alanna and George's twins were born 445 making Alan 2 years older than Harry.
Kel starts the first test during the year Harry arrives at 6 years old. 452
another year has passed and Harry is 9.
its currently 455, Kel is 13 (using her age makes it easier to follow.)
"Its summer mum!" Harry called as he ran up the stairs to Daine's private quarters near the castle.
"Well that's nice." Daine said absentmindedly after having a private conversation with Lilly.
"No, mum!" Harry exclaimed in an exasperated tone. "You promised we could go to the swoop for the summer. I haven't seen Alan in almost a whole year!"
"You saw him during the Midwinter Festival" Daine replied turning to face him with an eyebrow raised.
"That was last YEAR" Harry said with wide eyes.
Grinning to herself, Daine responded by simply walking out the door. Knowing Harry would follow her.
Not to disappoint Harry quickly chased after her. "Muuuuum, you promised."
In the three years that Daine had been watching Harry she had been worrying that he wouldn't be able to control his gift. However somehow he had managed to find a weak point in the boundary that separated the realms of the Gods and the mortal realm. Daine knew that time was moving differently between the two. She had panicked. It took her almost a week to get him back... She wasn't allowed in the Realms of the Gods anymore. She had to wait hoping that he would be okay.
Daine hadn't worried for nothing either. By the time Harry had finally returned he was hurt and had used all of his gift to protect himself. Also teaching him that his gift worked slightly different than Numair's. Harry seemed to be doing much better now that he had what he liked to call his 'wand'; unfortunately it didn't relive her stress. She knew that the small piece of wood was once from one of the first trees... She also knew that the gods don't just allow anyone anything from the Realms of the Gods for free. Something was coming. She just didn't know what yet. Sighing she paused causing Harry to run into her.
"Oh, sorry mum." Harry said as Daine turned around and grabbed him in a hug. "What's wrong mum?"
"Nothing Harry." Daine said as she fought the tears that were trying to fall.
"Ah, there you two are." Daine heard Numair from behind her. She stood straight and looked up at him.
Numair frowned and asked, "Whats wrong magelet?"
Daine smiled slightly and grabbed Harry's hand. "Nothing yet. Have you prepared to go to Pirates Swoop like we had planned?"
"I knew I had forgotten something!" Numair said with wide eyes hurrying off to get his things together.
"She really does love that little boy" The Green Goddess sighed while looking down at her daughter.
"It's going to destroy her when she finds out he can't stay" Weiryn replied.
In the future...
"Dumbledore, have you found the boy?" Professor Snape inquired.
"Not technically." Dumbledore replied with a twinkle in his eye. "Not to worry Severus, I am sure that he will be here to start school."
So I am thinking of changing when Daine has her first baby... it will help with my storyline if its sooner and I am thinking of making it a bit of a twist... what do you think?
