I parked in front of the lawyer's office and waited for Charlie-Dad. I should really start seeing him like that, dad. He's really been here for me when I've needed me and now the only parent I have left. After reading the letter in the mail I found out my mom had pasted. She and Phil had been in a car accident. My mom per usual didn't have a phone on her and so the police never thought to contact me. The rest of that day I called Char-Dad to come back from work. I spent the day morning her and having dad to keep me sane. Safe to say no tasks were truly completed that day.

We make our way together into the building to be met with the receptionist. The plaque read "Bree Tanner". She was on the phone but stopped to talk to us.

"Hello, may I help you?" That bite in her voice said 'bitch I'm on the phone' accompanied by the face of annoyance.

"Yes, hi Bree. I'm here to see Mr. Jenks? I got a call saying it was urgent to meet with him as soon as possible. My name is Isabella Swan." Automatically her attitude, and posture changes from bitch to sir yes sir. I don't know who she was on the phone with but she hung up and stood up.

"No, yes, of course ahhh Ms. Swan. Actually normally we have you make an appointment but in your case Jenks is down the hall to the right. Go ahead and go straight in." She gave me a smile and hand gestures where I was headed. This treatment was more like it but it was strange.

Mhm 'in my case' I wonder what that means. I look at my dad and he had the same look of confusion on his face, " That was weird. I wonder what she was talking about?" I told dad. He also gave a shrug that said 'No idea'. I wonder if she knows my mom died.

We got to the door and knocked, "Come on in," we heard from someone with a deep grunty voice from inside.

I opened the door to be greeted by a big heavy set man with glasses. He stood up to shake Charlie's hand and mine, "Chief Swan, Miss. Swan it's a pleasure to meet you. Although, first I must give my condolences. I was informed about your mother's parting along with her companion sir Phil Dwyer. Which is the reason why I call you here today."

"Thank you, Mr. Jenks, please call me Bella. Although, I'm not sure why I'm here to be very honest with you." I told him with curiosity.

"Well you see Bella, your mother as well as Phil, had wills I am here to tell you what they both left you,"

"What do you mean by both? Phil left me something? I thought everything would be sent to his family?" Though I didn't really know if he had family. Mom and Phil simply I had a shot gun wedding in Vegas.

"Bella, Phil has no siblings and his parents have already passed so you see you are the next of kin. Plus he personally named you in his will. Well both your mom and Phil both consensually left you what they had. Your mom's life insurance goes to you. It was actually a sum of 180 thousand dollars. And of course she left you her house in Jacksonville." What he had just said took my breath away. That was a lot of money. What would I even do with it all?

He didn't stop there, "Phil on the other hand has come from old, old money and rich royalty family; old inherence. He thought of you as his daughter and left you everything and said it in words in his will. You now own many properties in Europe, Florida, California, Colorado, Texas, and more. You own a mini sized castle in Canada. Every location is very furnished and stocked with cars of luxury and comfort. Not to mention all the money that was in his bank accounts adding to a total of about 15 million dol-" I help my hand up. I stood up in disbelief and started pacing around the office. I had to gather my thoughts.

"So what you're telling me is I am a millionaire? But I mean, me? How is this possible?" I was speechless sitting back down on the chair, "Did my mom even know Phil was rich?"

"The insurance, well she signed the contracts without reading them. I'm sure Phil knew you would get this money if something happened and your mom just signed the contract. Phil just never got around to telling your mom as far as I know. Everything seems to indicate he was going to just hadn't. Who knows why?" Jenks said.

My dad was just as speechless as me "Dad, what do you think of all of this?"

"I don't know what to think. Maybe, don't spend it all in one place." He was laughing in disbelief.

"So, Mr. Jenks, what is the next steps in all this. Do I have to do something?" I was confused

"Well I have taken the liberty of printing out all the documents for you. I have them all ready to sign. What you will be signing is documents to make all the properties and cars all be transferred into your name as well as all the bank accounts."

After I spent hours going through all the documentations. My hand was sore of all the signing and consent forms and titles.

"Now the next step for you is to take all these forms and keep them and file them. Then head over to the bank. Show them is paper and they will help you sign the rest of the paper work to transfer the accounts into your name and hopefully give you a credit card today in your name." he told me.

"Mr. Jenks thank you for all your help. I'm still in shock but I'm still thankful I had you to help me through this process." I stood up and shook his hand.

"You're very welcome Bella. Now if you need anything else or find yourself in trouble in the future you now where my office is." He walked me out.

We passed the receptionist on the way out and Bree waved to me. Now I understand, Jenks must have told her I was someone of money.

Man what a day. And now to the bank.

After another hour signing papers I got a shiny new black card with my name on it. I found out that with being a millionaire you can get what you want asap. After this I'm going shopping to Charlie's surprise. I told Charlie I'd see him at home.
