Chapter 26

"Let's break up," Erza uttered those words without so much as batting her eyelashes.

Sasuke's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "What?" He whispered looking at her in confusion.

"You heard me Sasuke," she replied. "Let's break up. It's no use staying in this relationship when we both have someone else."

Did he really heard her uttered those words? "Wait a second," he interjected. His mind was in a jumble right now. He had a hard time comprehending what she just said. "What do you mean we both have someone else? You know that there's nothing going on with Sakura and I. And I know for a fact that you don't have anyone else beside me. So don't play any games now Erza," he hissed at her. If this was her idea of payback for getting into trouble with Sakura, then she should stop it right now because it sure sent his heart into turmoil. The idea of breaking up with her was a scary thought.

"Stop lying about you and Sakura. I saw those pictures and her interview. I should congratulate you really. You two look perfect together and seem so in love with each other," she said with a sad smile. "I'm not playing any games Sasuke. I'm getting back with Jellal," Erza said.

Sasuke stared at her incredulously. "Jellal? The Jellal Fernandes who hurts you in the past?" He asked her. "Don't be ridiculous Erza. It's obvious that you're lying," he said, a little angry that she would go this far to trick him. She knew that he hated that blue haired man, so why would she bring up his name in front of him.

"I'm not lying Sasuke," Erza countered calmly. "We make up when you're in Paris. I love him," she said.

"Don't" he warned her, clutching her upper arms tightly in his hand. "Don't say that Erza," he hissed through gritted teeth. He saw the panicked look in her eyes. Good, let her know that he was serious and would not take her games anymore. He knew that he deserved to be punished by her but not like this. He couldn't take it hearing she said that she loved Jellal. "Let's stop playing games Erza," he commanded her. "You can punish me all you want but don't you dare say that you love that prick. You hate him."

Erza pushed at his chest and get out of his tight grip. "I love Jellal Sasuke," she said to him in defiance. "How many times should I tell you that for you to understand it? Please respect my decision. This is better since you have Sakura now."

Sasuke was stunned. Never before in his life that he imagined hearing Erza declared his love for Jellal. "What the hell happen to you Erza?" He whispered. Indeed, what the hell happened in the short span that he left her for Paris? "Did someone put you up to do this? Is that it?" He yelled at her, demanding an answer. Erza gasped in shock at his loud voice, involuntarily taking a back step away from him. It didn't escape Sasuke's vision though. With the intention to grill the information from her, Sasuke stepped towards the nervous girl as she continually backed away from him. Soon she had nowhere to go when her back hit the walls and Sasuke took the chance to cage her there with his body, his arms planted on both sides of her head to prevent her from escaping.

"Tell me Erza," he demanded. "Tell me why you are acting this way when we were fine the day I go to Paris." He saw the look in her eyes. The look he never thought he would see when she laid her eyes on him.

Fear.

She feared him right now. It sent a pang to his heart. Why would she fear him? He loved her.

His hand glided along her arms to settle on her shoulder. "Tell me," he whispered, coaxing her to tell him what was going on in her mind.

"Don't," Erza said as she pushed at his chest when he leaned closer to her. Standing so close to her like this clouded his mind. He didn't notice that his grip on her shoulder tightened and he almost kissed her.

Sasuke loosened his hold but didn't let go of the scared girl. "Why? There's nothing that we didn't do before," he contradicted her with a sneer. That earned him a glare from Erza. But Sasuke merely smirked at the red head beauty. She could glare at him all she wanted but he could read her like an opened book. She was scared of him. It pained him to see it but he needed to know why she was behaving this way.

"Stay away from me," Erza growled at him with a murderous glare.

"You don't mean that Erza," Sasuke whispered seductively into her ear before he nibbled lightly on it making her breath hitched as her body shivered at his treatment. "Let's stop playing games," he said huskily as his lips made a trail downward to kiss her jaw line and nipping at her smooth milky throat before he raised his head to look at her in the face. "I miss you my queen," he whispered.

He could see that she was heavily affected by his advances, just like he knew she would. He knew her like the back of his hand. Her face was flushed and she was breathing heavily. The fear was still present in her eyes but he could also see the lust trying to dominate. She just needed a little more push to break any resolve she might be having and then she would tell him what was going on. With that in thought, Sasuke captured her lips with his own and kissed her senseless, trying to put all of his emotion in that kiss. She was frozen for a moment before she began to respond and reciprocate the kiss. He really missed her. The days that they spent apart felt too long for him and not being able to touch her was excruciating.

Things were heated up as Sasuke ravaged her soft lips. His hands were everywhere on her body, feeling her warmth. Her hands were buried in his hair, as she tried to bring them even closer.

.

.

She had lost her mind.

Yeah. That was what Erza thought as Sasuke ravaged her lips in a forceful, intense and passionate kiss. This was not how it was supposed to happen. This was not what she had in mind when she said she want to break up with him. She needed to convince him that she didn't love him anymore yet she found herself in this predicament, once again at his mercy, falling prey under his seductive touch. Uchiha Sasuke would always be her weakness.

His hand trailed down from her hip to her thigh and he hooked his hand at the back of her knees and brought it around his hip before he grinded hard against her. Erza let out a loud gasped, feeling how much he wanted her from the hardness she felt against her core. She admitted that she wanted him too. She missed him so much, but she was not worthy of his love. Not after what had happened with Jellal. She longed for Sasuke to comfort her but he couldn't know how dirty she really was. Part of her mind knew that this was the survivor's guilt talking, but she couldn't help herself but think how dirty and worthless she was.

The feel of his hand creeping up her short skirt forced her mind to focus back on the present and she felt his warm hand trailed closer to the juncture of her thigh. His skillful hand easily crept pass her simple cotton underwear and she tore her mouth from him.

"Stop," she stuttered, pushing at his chest but he simply gave her the sexy confident smirk he always reserved for her and slipped a finger into her already wet fold. Erza let out a loud moan at his ministration. Her body was burning with lust and passion.

Sasuke grinned at her with triumph. "You were saying?" He asked cockily. Sometimes Erza felt like beating this overly confident man to a pulp. If this was a game, then he definitely was winning and he knew it. "Erza," he whispered as he nibbled lightly on her neck. She could feel that Sasuke was getting impatient as he easily tore her panties off and with a few deft movements he thrust upward to join their bodies together.

Both of them let out a sigh of pleasure at the fullness feeling when he slid inside. Erza tried to shake the image of Jellal that suddenly passed through her mind. She couldn't help but be reminded of that day. She was afraid if it would always be like this, seeing Jellal's face every time she became intimate with someone else. Like a ghost, he would always haunt her.

Tears pricked her eyes and Erza clung to Sasuke as he rocked her gently at first before it turned frantic. She knew she was being selfish but even if it was just for tonight Erza needed Sasuke. She needed him to make it go away. She needed him to make her feel better. She needed him to make her feel whole again, to wash away all those unwanted memories that had been plaguing her minds in her wake and in her dream. More importantly, she needed him to make her feel safe like nothing could hurt when she was with him.

.

.

Sasuke stared at the sleeping figure beside him. He didn't notice it before but now after all those tension had passed and as Erza laid on the bed sleeping after their love making, he could see the bag under her eyes. He could see the drained expression on her face. She looked really tired and he knew it was not because of their earlier activity. She looked like she hadn't had any sleep for days. His hand went to cup her cheek lovingly as he pushed the stray hair that fell on her face.

In the end he still didn't know what was bugging her and what happened that caused her to act so strange. He didn't believe for a second that she really wanted to break up with him on her own will. And what was with the declaration that she loved Jellal. That was totally unbelievable. Seriously, she needed to come up with a better excuse if she wanted to deceive him.

But the mention of Jellal's name made him suspicious of the blue head involvement in Erza's decision to split up with him. His gut was telling him that Jellal was somehow involved in this. No matter what, he would get his answer when Erza woke up. For now he would let her rest. She needed it.

It was already 9 in the morning, so Sasuke got up from the warm bed and head to the bathroom to take a shower. After his morning routine, he put on the spare clothes he had in her drawers and went to the small kitchen to start on some breakfast. He was a little hungry after all.

A buzzing sound on the table in the living room caught his attention and he made a small detour to see the cause of it. He saw Erza's phone lying there calling for attention. Someone was calling her and curious as to who was calling her early in the morning, Sasuke picked up the phone and saw the caller. In an instant fury filled his entire being when the name Jellal appeared on the screen. With the intention to warn Jellal to stop bothering Erza in mind, Sasuke swiped his thumb on the screen to answer it but Jellal disconnected the call first. His thumb pushed at the message icon instead. His brow furrowed when he saw numerous messages from Jellal. He thought it was weird since he was sure that Erza didn't keep in touch with Jellal via phone before. The last message from the man was automatically on view and he frowned deeper at the content of it.

Jellal:

I'm already at the Butterfly. Where are you? Are you disobeying me again Erza?

What was the meaning of this? He knew that he was intruding on her privacy but Sasuke couldn't help but think that Erza's weird behavior was connected to this. If Jellal was really involved then there was a high chance that Erza was actually in deep trouble. Without second thought, Sasuke viewed the rest of the messages. He scrolled and scrolled down to view the later messages and he was even more confused at the content.

Jellal:

Don't push me Erza

.

You don't need to be reminded on what's going to happen if you don't do as I say do you.

.

What is this? Is he blackmailing her? He thought angrily as he kept scrolling down. Then his eyes saw the video at the end of the message trail. It was the first thing that Jellal sent to her. Wondering what the video was about, Sasuke pushed his thumb on the icon and his eyes widened when he saw the content of the video.

.

.

Erza slowly opened her eyes as she regained her consciousness. The morning breeze was cool against her bare skin, waking her up from her deep slumber. She stretched her limb and snuggled deeper into her warm comforter, inhaling the familiar scent wafting from it. Suddenly, her eyes flew opened in alert as she remembered what had transpired last night.

"Sasuke," her mind suddenly screamed that name. She jolted up on her bed and looked around her room. There was no trace of the man in her vision. She wondered if he simply left or was somewhere in her house. There was a high chance that he was raiding her fridge at the moment. It was already late in the morning after all. Despite his amazing physique, Sasuke was always hungry and he did eat a lot.

Pushing that aside, Erza sighed as she remembered how easy it was for her to keel under Sasuke's persuasion last night. She let herself be seduced by him when she was supposedly doing the opposite. She didn't even come close to convince him to break up with her. Jellal would be furious if he knew about this.

The thought of Jellal made her gasped in panic. She forgot that she was supposed to meet with him for breakfast this morning. She knew that she was seriously late. Looking around frantically, Erza wondered where her phone was. It was not on her bedside table or anywhere in her room. Without wasting any time, she get up from bed and snatched the shirt hanging on the chair in front of her vanity, wore it and proceeded to walk out of her room.

She froze at the door when she saw Sasuke standing at the living room with a horrified look on his face. She was concerned about what was making the man sporting such a face. He was staring intently at something on his hand and when she realized what it was he was holding, her eyes widened in terror.

It was her phone.

He was looking at her phone. Her phone that contained something that she never ever wanted him to see.

Her eyes rose and met his equally widened eyes. Erza felt panic and fear struck her.

"Erza," Sasuke whispered as the phone slipped from his hand and fell on the floor with a loud clang. He sounded so broken when he whispered her name.

Erza saw him staggered towards her and she could see that he was becoming paler as he approached her. She knew that he already seen the video. She mentally berated herself for not destroying the video sooner. Tears fell down her cheek as she felt so humiliated, so filthy in front of Sasuke.

"Erza," Sasuke whispered as tears also fell from his own cheek. Anguish was clear written on his face.

"No," Erza shook her head. She didn't want him to see her like this. She tried to move away from Sasuke but he was fast to hold on to her. "No," Erza protested, trying to push him away, trying to break his grip on her arms but Sasuke was having none of that. He quickly engulfed her in a tight hug, leaving her arms trapped on his chest. Erza didn't notice it, but she was wailing and soaking Sasuke's chest with her tears.

Sasuke didn't break his tight grip on her as they both slumped to the floor. "I'm sorry," Sasuke whispered as he rocked her in his arms. "I'm so sorry," he whispered repeatedly, holding her tighter to let her know that he was here with her, to make her feel safe. Now that he knew what happened, everything made sense to Sasuke. Erza's weird behavior, her avoidance of his phone call, her request to break up. It was all because of the attack on her. How could that bastard, Jellal did that disgusting thing to her if he loved her so much.

How could this happen to his sweet Erza. He could only imagine how she felt all alone during his absence, how she was hurting with no one to turn to.

Rage.

That was all he felt as the scene kept repeating in his mind. Erza's cries for Jellal to stop, her tears and fears as she tried to fight for her freedom, her calling of his name to save her only to be met with a slap on her face.

Jellal Fernandes was going to pay for ever harming his precious Erza. He wouldn't let him get away from this unscathed. "I'm going to kill him," he hissed as his arm tightened around his sobbing girlfriend. "I'm going to kill him," he repeated. He didn't care what would happen to him afterward, he would still kill that bastard for what he had done.

"Sasuke," Erza looked up at him when she heard what he said. This was one of the reasons why she didn't want Sasuke to find out. It was what she fears would happen. Sasuke would not let Jellal get away with this. He would kill Jellal and she knew that he was capable of doing that in his rage.

"Everything is going to be alright Erza," he said.

The determination she saw in his eyes scared her. "Sasuke please," she cried, clutching at his shirt in desperation. She didn't want anything to happen to her precious man.

"I'm sorry, but I'll have to leave you for a while."

"No!" Erza protested. "Sasuke please don't go."

"He has to pay for what he had done," Sasuke stated. "And I'm sorry I couldn't protect you Erza. I shouldn't have gone to Paris," he said with regret.

Erza shook her head. He shouldn't blame himself for her own weakness. There was no way he could have known what was going to happen. Sasuke loosened his hold on her and Erza felt herself going into panic. "Don't go," she pleaded with him but it fell to deaf ears. Sasuke was determined to carry out his own plan and that was making Jellal paid for his crime.

"I'm sorry," Sasuke whispered before he let Erza go and walked out of the apartment with a determined stride.

Erza was frozen on her spot seeing Sasuke turned his back on her and walked out of the door.

No.

She couldn't let him destroy his own life because of her. Hastily, she reached out to her phone lying carelessly on the floor. Fortunately, it was not broken. She scrolled on her contact list and saw Naruto's number there. Calling for the blonde, she waited only seconds before it was picked up.

"Hello."

"Naruto," she yelled in relief when she heard his voice.

"Erza, what's going on for you to be calling me out of the blue?" Naruto inquired on the other line.

"Naruto, I don't have time to explain but you need to stop Sasuke," Erza told him desperately over the phone.

"Oi Erza. What are you talking about?" Naruto asked in confusion.

"Sasuke is going to kill Jellal. You have to stop him Naruto," Erza cried out desperately. Naruto was one of the people she could count on to knock some sense into Sasuke right now.

"Oi Erza. What the hell is going here? What do you mean he's going to kill Jellal?" Naruto sound frantic on the other line.

"That doesn't matter right now. You need to stop him before he does kill him," Erza yelled. "He's heading to the Butterfly. It's a new café at 7th Street. Jellal is there," Erza informed him. "Naruto, you must hurry," she told him firmly. "Please," she added with a pleading tone.

There was silence for a second before Naruto responded. "I got it. I'll be there as fast as I can. I'll call you later."

Erza released a sigh of relief. "Thank you," she said before the call was disconnected. She really hoped Naruto made it in time to stop Sasuke.

.

.

"Damn it!" Naruto cursed as he disconnected the call.

"What the hell was that about?" Natsu who was sitting on the floor asked him. The game that was occupying his attention before the phone call was paused as he looked at Naruto expectantly waiting for an answer.

"I'll tell you on the way. Come on, let's go." Naruto was quick on his feet as he gestured for his twin brother to follow him and Natsu did so without asking anymore question.

It was a few minutes later and they were both in their car with Naruto driving.

"I don't know what the hell was going on with Sasuke lately," Natsu commented as he glanced at Naruto who was speeding down the road towards their designated place. "We don't even have the chance to ask him about the whole Sakura fiasco and then the next thing we knew, Erza was calling us to say that he was going to kill Jellal. Why does he want to kill that blue haired bastard in the first place?" Natsu inquired because he sure as hell couldn't figure out why.

Naruto was also pondering on the same thing. "I don't have a clue either," he answered. "But once Sasuke put his mind to something, he sure as hell will do it no matter what the consequences."

Natsu sighed heavily. "That I do know very well," he said. He really hoped that they could get there in time to prevent their friend from murdering someone.

.

.

Jellal sat at the corner table sipping his coffee calmly while his eyes were trained outside through the glass pane, watching the passers by walking beside the café. His expression was calm enough but in the inside, he was fuming for being stood up by Erza. He wondered what she was doing that she couldn't make herself present to meet him. She was already an hour late and she was not answering her phone. That was what making him furious even further. He had already reprimanded her before to always answer his call.

He wondered if she already settled everything with Sasuke Uchiha.

His hand tightened on the coffee cup as he gritted his teeth in annoyance. Even the thought of his name made his blood boil. Jellal hated Sasuke Uchiha. Because of him, he had to hurt Erza. He knew his action only succeeded in making Erza hated him. He knew because he hated himself for what he had done to her. He won't be forgetting about that day anytime soon. He lost control of himself in his desperation to tie Erza to him. He hoped that she would find it in her to forgive him some day. He didn't believe that she was totally over him. Because what they had was true love. These were just obstacles that they would certainly overcome. They would be together again like before and then everything would be fine.

The only thing standing between them is the youngest Uchiha. Sasuke Uchiha needed to go. Otherwise, he would keep coming between him and Erza.

"Fernandes."

He heard his name being called and he turned towards the source of it to see the man he was thinking about coming at him with a furious look.

He didn't even have the time to make a scathing remark before the other man swing a fist towards him. He felt the pain in his jaw as he fell from the chair because of the force. His mind was spinning from the blow and he cursed internally for being off guard.

"You son of a bitch!" He heard his arch enemy bellowed in rage. Before he could even form a word, he felt Sasuke grabbed him by the collar and hauled him to his feet. Eye to eye, he could see the murderous look on his enemy's face. "I'm going to kill you," Sasuke hissed.

He felt another blow to his face. "Damn!" He cursed for being off guard. There was no way he would just let this good for nothing man beat him without a fight. He saw another fist aiming for his face and he intercepted it before delivering a powerful punch on his own. It sent Sasuke crashing to the table he occupied earlier. Cries and yells came from the occupants in the café. Some sporting terrified look and some looked eager to see some fights before noon.

"Please Sir, no fighting inside this café," a worker yelled a distance away, probably too scared to get too close in case he got caught in the crossfire. None of that matters to Jellal. He simply felt pleased to see the winded look on Sasuke's face. He didn't know what made Uchiha Sasuke came looking for him with a fight but he could care less, he had been waiting for too long to beat the living shit out of the youngest Uchiha.

Sasuke get up and closed their distance with his right fist ready and Jellal simply blocked it but he forgot about Sasuke's left fist which connected with his abdomen. Jellal let out a pained gasp. His enemy sure could pack a punch. He retaliated with his own punches. The both of them kept exchanging blows and everything was a blur after that. The next thing he knew, Sasuke swept his feet under him making him fall to the floor.

Sasuke trapped him to the floor and choked him. "You think I wouldn't know what you did to Erza," he growled. "I'm going to kill you Fernandes," he said as he tightened his choke on him. So that was why Sasuke was hell bent on killing him. He somehow knew about the incident a week ago. He wondered how Sasuke knew about it for Jellal knew Erza wouldn't freely tell him.

Jellal struggled against his tight grip. He hit Sasuke's arms making the latter loosened his hold on him. That was the only opening Jellal needed before he whacked Sasuke hard on the head and roughly pushed him away, inversing their previous position. Another blow to Sasuke's head and he reveled at the pained look on Sasuke's face. "This is all your fault Uchiha. If you just leave her alone, that wouldn't happen. She is mine to begin with," Jellal hissed with hatred. He gripped Sasuke's throat with killing intent.

"You're sick," Sasuke rasped out with difficulty.

Jellal felt Sasuke wrapped his legs around his torso and reversed their position. Before he could even defend himself, Jellal felt the blows to his face. "When will you learn that Erza doesn't want you. You two are over a long time ago, Fernandes," Sasuke bellowed as he kept punching him. He refused to believe that. Erza and him were meant to be together. It was Sasuke Uchiha that kept getting in between them.

Erza.

He couldn't let Erza go. She was his and he was hers. Always.

"Sasuke!" He heard someone yelling his enemy's name. He blocked the next punch aimed to his head and then he felt Sasuke's weight being lifted off of him. He wasted no time to get back on his feet. His blurry vision could make out the sight of Sasuke's form being held by a blonde man. He tried to get to his enemy but found his path blocked by none other than a familiar pink head who attended the same school as his nemesis. He knew them, the twin Natsu and Naruto.

"Hold it," the pink head said, his hand firm on his chest trying to keep him away from Sasuke. "Don't be stupid Fernandes," Natsu warned. "You're already causing unwanted scene here and there's too much damage already."

That was when his eyes roamed around the place and indeed their fight cause some damage to the café. It was a few broken tables and chairs, nothing money couldn't fix. He felt the blood dripped from his nose and he took out his handkerchief in annoyance and put it to his nose to stop the blood flow.

"Let go of me Naruto," he heard Sasuke ordered his best friend. Jellal glared hard at the man and was satisfied to see the blood dripping from the corner of Sasuke's mouth. He saw Sasuke struggled against Naruto and Natsu went to his brother before they both began to drag Sasuke out of the café.

"Fuck!" Jellal cursed as only now he truly felt the effect of his fight with Sasuke. He felt pain all over his body.

Jellal walked to the counter and took out his wallet. He gave his credit card to the cashier who was giving him the stink eye. "I'll pay for the damage," he simply told him.

"Of course you are," the cashier retorted back. "Who else do you think would pay for it?"

Jellal didn't appreciate the sarcastic tone of his voice and he gave the cashier a glare in return which made the cashier loose his cool and reduced to a stuttering idiot.

Jellal sighed internally. Today was so not his day at all.

.

.

Naruto watched as Natsu shoved Sasuke into the passenger's seat before he closed the door with a loud bang. Naruto took no time to hit the gas and sped out of the area in case Sasuke tried to exit the car and went after Jellal again. Natsu was in charge to take Sasuke's car to their place.

He was startled when Sasuke punched his poor dashboard a few times in anger to release his excess frustration from being separated from his enemy. Naruto was annoyed at the treatment his innocent dashboard get but getting angry at Sasuke only would get the raven haired man to lash out at him.

"You want to tell me why Erza was calling me and crying, telling me to stop you from committing a murder?" He asked calmly, purposely saying Erza's name to get his best friend to calm down. Erza always had that effect on Sasuke.

"You should have let me kill that son of a bitch!"

"Erza don't want you to do that."

"Erza don't want me to do anything after what he did to her! Do you think you will stop me if you hear what Fernandes did?" Sasuke yelled in anger.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at him. Sure he didn't know anything about what had happen that made Sasuke lost his mind in the first place. He had no time for an explanation from Erza but Sasuke could fill in the gap now. But he was not sure if he wanted to hear the answer from his best friend. He saw the tortured look in his eyes, the hurt, the helplessness. He was afraid he couldn't take the answer.

Still he asked Sasuke. "What did he do?"

Sasuke's eyes hardened. "He hurts her," he hissed and Naruto was straining to hear his voice. "He raped Erza," Sasuke growled without even looking at him. Naruto's eyes widened as he hit the break hard and stopped the car beside the road. No way! He must have heard him wrong. Jellal wouldn't do that to Erza would he?

"Sasuke," Naruto stuttered.

"Jellal Fernandes raped Erza," Sasuke bellowed out at him, looking at him dead in the eyes. "And I wasn't there to protect her," Sasuke clenched his hair with his hand as he broke in front of his best friend. "Erza asked me to help her and I wasn't there. He even hit her for calling my name. I wasn't there and I couldn't save her," Sasuke rambled.

Naruto was horrified to hear this. There was no way Sasuke was lying or joking about it. How could such a thing happen to one of his close friend? How could this thing happen?
