Thanks for the reviews! I know it's been a while and it's a new year but I'm ready to work on ALL three of my stories! Maybe add a new one who knows! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one! Warning: Black is OOC in this one and mostly Black's POV. ENJOY!
The Jokers and I, with me still being carried in White's arms, made it into town. I looked around the town as we walked by many shops seeing if there was anything that'd catch my eyes. As I looked around the faceless town people screamed and gasped before running away or making room for the Jokers to pass. I struggled out of White's grip as my eyes caught sight of the toy store right next to a candy store. White set me down and I ran into the toy store.
"Hey!" shouted Black.
Black and White ran after me as I entered the toy shop. I stopped and looked around squealing in happiness and ran down an isle just as Black and White reached out and tried to grab me. I ran down the doll isle and looked at all the dolls that were on the shelves. I spotted a doll on the fourth shelf that had a doll with light brown hair like mine and had blue eyes. The doll was smiling and had a blue dress and a blue bow rested on top of her head. I became drawn to the doll and I reached up trying to grab it.
"And WHAT do you think you are doing?" hissed Black who stood behind me with his arms crossed as White held a worried expression.
"You shouldn't run off like that." scolded White.
I ignored him as I stood on the lower shelf trying to reach the doll. Before I could grab the doll, the doll was snatched up by Blacks hands.
"Hey! I want that!" I yelled jumping down trying to reach for the doll in Blacks hands.
"You want this stupid thing?" asked Black with a sneer.
"It's not a stupid thing!" I yelled jumping up trying to get the doll. "It's a dollie!"
"It's a stupid useless thing." Black argued back.
"No it isn't!" I argued back.
"Okay, okay. Settle down." said White who stepped in between us. "Black, just give Raven the doll." White shot a closed eyed smile but to me it looked like an evil sinister smile.
"Yeah!" I yelled.
Black grumbled and scoffed as he held the doll out to me. "Whatever." mumbled Black.
I giggled and snatched the doll from his hands. "Yay!" I cheered and skipped further down the isle. White and Black followed behind me.
"Can we leave yet?" asked Black. "The less time we spend in here the better. I do have a prison to go back to."
"Look, look!" I squealed pointing at a bright red tea set that rested on a black table and surrounding the table were four black chairs. I ran over and sat the doll down in one of the chairs than taking the one next to her. I grabbed the bright red tea pot and poured the dollie some tea. I giggled and poured myself some tea, pretending the doll was talking.
I heard Black groan and mumble to White. "What the hell is she doing?"
"She's playing." replied White walking over to me and sat in one of the small chairs.
"Would you like some tea, White." I asked holding up the tea pot and giving him a bright smile.
White smiled back and said, "I'd love some!"
I giggled as White picked up the bright red tea cup by the handle and held it out to me. I pretended to pour tea into the cup and White took a sip. "Black come join us!" I called over to him.
Black glared and stomped over to the table and sat down with his angry self. I held the tea pot up, "Would you like some tea, Black?" I asked excitedly.
Black scoffed and held out his tea cup. "Whatever, I'll take some." he mumbled. I poured some imaginary tea into his cup and he looked at it blankly.
"What a rip off." he hissed glaring at the empty cup. White leaned over and whispered to his look-a-like.
"It's imaginary tea, just drink it." Black scoffed at his brother and drank his so called 'tea'.
Black's POV
Imaginary tea? Tch! What a rip off! Oh well I've never been one for tea anyway. I scoffed as I watched Raven pour that stupid doll some more of that rip off she calls tea and smiling and giggling like the child she was. I couldn't help but smile a bit. I silently watched as White asked for more tea and Raven poured him some more. I couldn't believe that this kid, Alice's child, manage to turn me as soft as going to a toy store and sitting down at a small kiddie table to have this rip off tea! What happened to me?! What does the kid have that has made me go soft? While questioning myself I didn't notice that White asked her a question.
"Really?!" gasped Raven with a wide smile.
"Yes. If you want it." nodded White. Raven squealed and hugged White before hugging me. I gave White a confused look as he just smiled and shrugged me off before he got up.
I stood at the register with a blank look. "You've got to be kidding!" I mumbled. White was buying Raven the kiddie table with the chairs and that rip off tea set. She hugged White's legs rubbing her head against his legs and kept saying thank you over and over again. I glared at the little girl as White handed me the boxes that held the table set an tea set. Why do I have to carry the boxes? I growled as I followed behind White and Raven who were holding hands.
Raven raised the hand she wasn't holding and pointed at a nearby candy store. "Can we go there next?" asked Raven.
Toys and candy? No way! "No!" I yelled causing the small girl to flinch and look at me with a saddened expression. "Lets just get your damn clothes and go home!"
White just smiled and nodded. "Maybe on the way home, we can get you something. Black does have to return to the prison, sweetheart." said White.
Raven hung her head in sadness. "Okay..." she mumbled. I stood there widening my eyes slightly as my clock sped up a bit, how strange. Strangely I felt my chest tighten and I felt bad that I yelled at her. I looked away from her and glared at the random towns people who looked our way.
I sat in a chair impatiently waiting for White to quit trying clothes on Raven who was prancing around in the many clothes she tried on. Even though I was extremely annoyed about waiting for what felt like hours just for Raven to try on clothes and prance around I couldn't help but have a small smile when she asked me how she looked in the clothes. I'd only mumbled a yeah or a no in reply not really saying much, what in bloody hell am I suppose to say?
White came and stood beside me once he gave Raven another dress to try on. "Having fun?" he asked giving me a small smile.
"Oh, yes!" I hissed sarcastically. "Most fun I've ever had!" I crossed my arms and slumped in my chair.
White laughed and said nothing more. With the telepathic connection we had he knew what I really felt. Raven came bouncing out of the small dressing room and twirled around. The dress was a black dress that went a little bit above her knee's in the front and went down to the floor in ruffled edge layers in the back, from her waist up the dress was strapless but had three straps connecting to a choker with a small opening that revealed a little of her stomach. "How's it look?" she asked skipping over to us.
"You look beautiful!" replied White with his usual smile. "Right, Joker?"
I nodded. "Sure pretty as can be." I mumbled, getting up and stretching a bit. "We done yet? I think we got her enough clothes to last a while."
"You can't just rush a young lady into buying clothes!" warned White.
She looked at me sheepishly and smiled. "I think that I have enough! But I think I'll only keep three." she mumbled looking through the clothes to pick out the three she wanted.
"And why is that?" asked White.
"Because you've already bought me the tea set and table set." she replied removing an outfit from the pile.
I rolled my eyes and picked her up, holding her in my arms. "You don't worry about it. You can have as much as you want." I told her kissing her cheek, strange. I felt my cheeks heat up a bit and gave her a small smile.
She gave me a weird look and White gave me a knowing smile. "You're going soft, Joker" White teased inside my head.
"Oh shut up!" I scoffed back in my mind. Raven's expression went from weird to a bright happy smile.
"R-Really?!" she asked excitedly. I nodded reluctantly. "Yay!" she cheered getting down and handing all the clothes to White before she ran back to me and hugged my legs.
"Thank you!" she gushed. "Thank you! Thank you!"
My already reddened face darkened a little bit and I awkwardly patted her head. "N-No problem kiddo." I mumbled
The clothes were bought and we left the store only to have White hand me the all the bags and disappear on us. I looked at him as he walked into a store and shrugged.
I looked around for a place to sit and found a bench not to far away. "Let's go sit..." I paused and re-adjusted all the things in my hand before continuing, "Over there." I kicked one of my legs out to point out where.
Raven nodded and ran over to the bench leaving me to survive on my own with all her stuff. I dropped everything and plopped down on the bench sighing. Where did White run off too? I rested both my arms on the back of the bench and leaned my head back closing my eyes when I felt the sun hitting my face. I heard the small girl yawn next to me, I opened my eye and looked at her. She tried to keep her eyes open and her head up but she was doing a terrible job at it. I smirked as I layed my arm across her small shoulders and pulled her towards me. She looked up at me with tired eyes and I looked away with a blush rising to my cheeks once again. She leaned against my chest and for a while she just layed there until she fell asleep. I stared down and smiled a little at her angelic face, I raised my hand and stroked the side of her face with the back of my hand.
"Beautiful, don't you think, Joker?" asked White who walked up to us with a smile on his face.
I looked down into his hands and saw a bag of sweets in his hand. "You seriously bought her candy?" I asked smirking at him. He nodded and reached out wit his free hand stroking Raven's face.
"Well now that's done, we can go home. Right?" I asked looking up at him with a bored look.
"Of course!" he nodded.
"Finally!" I was about to get up when I remembered that Raven was sleeping against me.
"Want me to take her?" asked White.
"No, I got it." I manage to pick her up and get up without waking her up.
"Well looks like I'll be carrying the bags, huh?" White asked cheerfully as he picked up all the bags and had the boxes containing the table and tea set on his head, balancing them perfectly.
"Let's go home." I said walking down the cobblestone street ahead of him.
The farther we walked into the forest the more it began to shift into my nice bleak prison. I glared at the prisoners as we walked by heading to our bedroom. I opened the door and walked in followed by White, who walked over to the closet and set the bags and boxes inside.
"I think we'll be in need of a bigger closet." chuckled White as he closed the door.
"Did we really buy that much?" I asked laying the sleeping girl my arms on the bed.
"Seems so." replied White. "I'll stay here with Raven, while you go tend to your duties for the prison."
I nodded and left the room giving him a wave saying, "Take care of her." before I patrolled the prison.
