Hello everyone, Illithya here,
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I just started a new forum on my writing process, what I think about certain books, and things of that nature. It's called Once Upon a Time, A Writer's Guide for When You're Stuck. If you're interested to see how I work take a look.
Also, I'm a little proud of this chapter. It's been a while since I wrote something like this.

Chapter 20
Eli shook her watch in a furious attempt to make Jarvette pay. The AI didn't really do anything, but Eli needed someone to vent at without actually hurting anyone. Eli would still feel terrible about throwing what was probably her best friend around like it did hurt her. Eli groaned loudly. Thor seemed taken aback by the strangely taller brunette. Eli noticed Thor staring.
"I'm having Jarvette do a quick analysis of my blood. I'm not supposed to be having nosebleeds anymore." Eli explained. "I was pretty sure I cured myself of any side affects from my inhibitor. And Jarvette is being a bit slow on the analysis. It makes me worry. I'm scared that I might be dying. Again."
"Your life seems to one struggle after another Eli. I am sorry that you have to suffer so." Thor said before they entered into the great chamber of the Bifrost.
"Suffering makes the little things in life worth it. It can take you pretty far." Eli smiled softly, and turned to see a giant of a man with molten gold eyes. Heimdall, Eli's mind provided, the gatekeeper to Asgard. Eli addressed him. "Is it true that you can see all the realms, and even hear plants grow?"
The dark skinned man smiled and nodded, "It is true." He turned to look at Eli, "Your family has been tirelessly searching for you. They will be glad to have you back."
Eli smiled brightly, "You have an extraordinary gift."
Heimdall bowed slightly to the brunette. "To Earth, I assume," the gatekeeper addressed Thor.
"Yes, then I will go to Vanaheim," Thor said. "Eli, I can not go with you to Earth, but the journey should be easy enough."
"Oh," Eli teased, "what has happened to chivalry? Don't worry, I have the utmost trust in you, Thor. Let's get started."
"Stand there," Heimdall directed. Eli looked forward as she heard the Bifrost activate. There was a rush of noise, and Eli felt herself be pulled from a point at her navel. The light emitted from the Bifrost was one of the most beautiful things Eli had ever seen. The way the colors rushed around as though they were dancing. Eli smiled ear to ear. She had to show Tony this when she got back.
Eli felt something warm drip from her nose. Eli put her hand to her nose to find it bleeding profusely. Then there was ungodly pain in her head. It was like someone had drove hot pokers through her skull. It was horrendous. Eli screamed and screamed and screamed. She didn't notice that she was being pulled back toward the direction she came from. She didn't notice when she was thrown into the Bifrost's chamber or that she hit the floor and slid several feet. All she knew was this pain. It was worse than her attacks caused by the inhibitor; it was even worse than the time that all mutants were attacked by Cerebro.
Eli's screams quieted as the pain receded into nothing. The young woman whimpered and gasped and was nearly sobbing. Yet she didn't sound like she normally did. Her voice was deeper. Eli rolled over and ran a hand through her hair. Eli bolted up. Her hair should be long and voluminous, not short and thinning. Eli stared at her now manly hands.
"Please, please tell me that I am not a man," Eli said to no one in particular. Her voice was low and it was hoarse from screaming. Her throat should have healed. Eli concentrated hard on what she looked like. She felt her body change. Eli looked around. Everyone was staring at her, like they didn't know what to do. Eli looked up to Thor.
"I take back what I said. Suffering is complete crap." Eli groaned. "What now?"
"We get you to the healing rooms, and go from there." said Thor's steady voice. Eli nodded and tried to get up. "Go to my father, tell him what has happened." Thor said to one of the guards. He went to Eli and picked her up gently. Eli barely registered Thor's strong arms pick her up. Eli's breathing started to become ragged and she felt tears sting her eyes. The depths of her mind told her that she was going into shock or that she had been in shock the entire time. Eli wasn't entirely sure which was true, but the girl was a broken mess. In what could be seen as cowardice, Eli escaped into her mindscape.
The usually peaceful waterfalls and lagoons were in chaos. The shimmering water lilies were broken and destroyed; scattered. Eli trudged through the pools of cool water to the one at the very center of her mindscape. She stood breathing hard. Her body was in complete panic mode. Eli plunged herself into the depths of the bitch black pool. The water was frigid for a moment. Eli breathed in deep.
Clearing her mind was a process and a half. She felt bad for Thor. Her body was probably in a catatonic state. But it couldn't be helped. If Eli let her mind fall into further dissension, then a lot of people were going to hurt. Eli put all of her thoughts back where they should have been. Each to their designated pool. Eli would get her powers back in control so help her god.
Eli was pushing her darkest memories back to their hiding place when she felt another presence within her mind. The brunette's head snapped around. The woman identified as Frigga was at the edge of her mindscape. The tall woman was smiling as she observed the island oasis. Eli wondered what Loki had told his mother about her. The brunette suddenly felt self-conscious. Eli squared her shoulders and approached the queen of Asgard.
Eli was in awe of Frigga's mindscape. It was a great forest of various trees, but the most prominent tree was a giant oak tree that towered hundreds of feet above the rest of the forest. The sight took Eli's breath away.
"You have given my son quite the fright," Frigga smiled. Eli couldn't help but smile back.
"I'm sorry. Bad things like to happen whenever I'm around. I should apologize to Thor as well." Eli paused. "What will happen now?"
"You will be moved to a secure location until you have regained conscious. After that, you will have to show a considerable amount of control before you will be allowed to travel using the Bifrost again." Frigga was very kind. "May I ask what happened?"
"I don't know what happened. I was fine one moment, and the next… I was in pain. Then I was in shock, and now I'm here." Eli paused. "How long has it been since I've been here?"
"About a week." Eli's jaw dropped.
"A week? A week? A week…" Eli floundered. "Pepper is going to kill me."
"Who is Pepper?" Frigga asked.
"She's my cousin, but she's more like my sister. And sometimes my mother if I need it." Eli smiled. "She's probably worrying herself to death."
There was silence for a moment.
"When do you think you'll be ready join the world again?" the queen asked.
"Very soon. I'm almost finished." All that Eli had left to do was connect herself to world again. It was an easy enough thing to do. "What did Loki have to say about me? Or do I not want to know?"
Frigga laughed, "That boy said a great deal about you, but what he didn't say was gave him away."
Eli bit her lip. Was that good, or was it bad? Did Loki think of her as she did him? This was so frustrating! Eli took a deep breath. "I think I'm ready to join the world. I'll be there in a moment."
Eli took a deep breath. The air of the room she was in filled her lungs, and hundreds of pink water lilies lit up in her mindscape.
Blue eyes opened. Amusement edged across her mind as Eli recognized the room she was in. It was the one she had first woken up in. A replica of her body was floating above her. Eli wondered what it was. She would have to ask what it was. The mutant stood and stretched her body. Her elbows and back cracked. Her muscles pulled pleasantly. Frigga was no where to be seen. In fact there wasn't anyone around. Eli made the executive decision to stay put. She got the feeling that Odin could only be pushed so far, unlike Frigga, who seemed to have wells of patience.
Eli didn't have to wait long before someone entered the healing room. It was a woman, with long black hair. She was beautiful in her own right, and had a "I can kick your ass" kind of vibe about her. The woman reluctantly smiled at Eli. Eli beamed back.
"Eli Potts, I am Lady Sif of the Warriors Three. I am here to escort you the All Father." she said.
"What happens after I see the All Father?" Eli asked.
"I don't know."
Lady Sif seemed rather tense around Eli, and the earthling got the feeling that Loki might have something to do with the reason. Sif's stride was quick and her shoulders stiff. So much for a first impression, Eli thought dryly.
"I don't bite you know," said Eli when she wasn't able to take the quiet any more. "Well, I do, but not unless I'm provoked; but trust me when I say it's not often."
Sif was silent. Eli made a face.
"Should I be worried about getting in trouble? If the Bifrost broke, it wasn't my fault. My powers weren't within my control. I've been out of commission for the last few months trying to get my powers back under control. I still have some kinks to work out."
More silence.
"I once slathered my body in jello and fought an eight hundred pound beast to the death while naked." Eli said seriously. Sif didn't even pause. Eli sighed. She was being ignored now. Annoyed, Eli focused on Sif's thoughts. It was rude, but due to annoyance, Eli didn't care.
Sif was thinking of Thor and the turmoil that had started across the nine realms. Many battles had taken place. A woman with light brown hair flitted around Sif's mind. Eli recognized her as Jane Foster. The image of Thor carrying Eli's bloody body. Eli blanched at the image. She looked nearly dead.
Eli was about to leave Sif's mind when she heard the war-maiden think of Loki and her relationship with him. Sif felt pity for Eli. Like Thor, the dark haired woman thought that Eli feared Loki. Eli thought that it was a laughable notion. Eli could no more fear Loki than she could hate him. Sif's thoughts returned to Thor, and that time Eli did leave Sif's thoughts.
"Sif," Eli said quietly, "I didn't hurt anyone while I was incapacitated, did I?"
Sif looked at Eli quickly. "No, but we had feared for your life. Several times it was thought that you would die."
"Trust me when I say that it would take a lot to kill me. I was once thrown off a hundred foot bridge, and I was up and walking not fifteen minutes later. You know what. I don't think bridges and I agree. At all. I've been thrown off of them, fallen on them, and the only time I had a relatively good time on a bridge was when it was leading me to a war."
Eli looked over at Sif, who was looking at Eli like the girl was out of her mind. Thinking of the Golden Gate Bridge made Eli smile a bitterly. A lot of good mutants died because of Magneto's campaign, and at the same time, she felt abandoned by the professor. He was supposed to be one of the most powerful mutants in the world. He could have stopped Jean from killing him. Eli stopped as her thoughts turned dark. The brunette took a steadying breath, and ignored her inner turmoil.
Neither of the women said anything as they traveled to the throne room. Eli tried not to think about anything in particular. Sif lead Eli through a great door into a vast room. At the very end of the room sat Odin in a marble throne. He was alone in the vast room. Odin waved Sif away, leaving Eli alone with the Allfather. Eli remained focused on the king. He gazed at her steadfastly; his eyes fierce with thought. Eli was sorely tempted to see what he was thinking. It felt like three years had passed before he finally spoke to Eli.
"Our healers say that there appears to be nothing ailing you; and yet you nearly died several times over the last seven days." Odin's voice was thoughtful. "Your power is dangerously fluxuating, making you a danger to yourself and those around you; and now the Bifrost will not allow you to travel across it."
Eli nodded when Odin paused. "You suggested that you be taken to the dungeons where Loki is being held. What is more is that he implicated you in his assault on Midgard. One would think that you were conspiring."
Eli couldn't help but smile, "I could do it if I wanted. He killed a very good friend of mine, and I… I told him that I could never forgive him for it. Never mind the fact that he nearly killed Tony, brainwashed Clint, cracked my skull, kidnapped me, and then he decided that was going to be a jerk and shit talk me." Eli's mood darkened significantly. Months of pent up rage surged from Eli's chest. Everything went to shit after Loki decided that he wanted to take over the earth. Distantly, Eli could feel her hands start to freeze. When she looked at them, they were covered in ice. She shook her hands out. "He ruined a lot of things in my life."
Odin was quiet for a long, long time. As though he was deciding if Eli was lying or not. She told him the truth, but easily left out the fact that she had forgiven Loki, and all she wanted was to see him. Eli forced the memory of his lips on hers to their designated corner of her mind. She wasn't going to let her feelings get in the way of her getting home.
"I fear that even our dungeons might not hold you for long. It should be able to contain many of your abilities. For now, it was my son and wife that convinced me that you would not cause problems. If you do anything to compromise the safety of my people, I will not be lenient on you." said Odin with such conviction that Eli could see how much of a warrior king he really was. Eli nodded. Odin lifted his spear, Gungnir, Eli's mind supplied, and brought it back down. A low toned boom vibrated in Eli's chest. Three guards and Sif entered throne room.
"Take her to the dungeons," said Odin resolutely. Sif and the others nodded. Eli followed them in solemn silence.
The closer Eli came to the Asgardian prison, the faster her heart raced. She chanted in her head that Loki was the enemy on principle, that she wouldn't give in. When Sif opened the doors to the dungeon Eli had to take a steadying breath. Eli walked behind Sif. It was an unusual prison; made of stone and dark except for the all white cells that lit up the entire prison. Eli made sure to close off her mind.
Eli was barely five feet into the prison when she felt his gaze on her. It burned her skin pleasantly, and her breath caught in her throat. She kept her eyes on Sif's back. She felt the tenor of his mind. Eli almost tripped over her own feet. Feeling him again was like being given water after traveling through a desert for days. It was a temptation Eli couldn't resist.
Eli's blue eyes sought him out. She found his boots first. Her eyes traveled up his legs up to his chest and finally to his face to meet his green eyes. He looked almost shocked to see her here. Eli wanted to know what he was thinking. She wanted to know if he was plagued by thoughts of her. Their eyes stayed locked until Eli could no longer look back. Eli was barely aware of the guards looking at her, because Loki was still staring at her.
Sif seemed to have lead Eli to the cell furthest from Loki's. Eli wasn't sure if she was glad of it or not.
Eli meditated in her white cell. Her things had been placed in her cell before she had been brought there. Her mind was in shambles after seeing Loki after such a long time. Even now, at the edges of her mind, she felt him trying to pry his way into hers. After several hours he only came close two times. Eli smiled at Loki's increasing frustration.
Eli let out a puff of breath as she stood feeling relaxed. She was confident that her barriers were going to hold their own against Loki. Eli tried not to think about him. It was bad enough knowing he was so close.
Eli went to the quaint, wooden end table. The leather diary that rightfully belonged to Rachel. It was smooth under her fingers. She didn't feel right reading it before Rachel, but it was burning her fingers to read it. Eli sighed. She needed someone to talk to, and Jarvette was still working too slow on her blood analysis. The AI was being insufferably slow. Loki made a particularly aggressive attack on her mind and Eli scowled.
"Come on Jarvette," Eli complained. Eli threw herself onto the bed adorned with cream colored sheets and a blue comforter. The pillows were firm like she liked them and the bed was soft like hers at Stark Tower. Eli sighed again. She was getting ridiculously bored.
Eli sat up with a smile and lit her hand on fire. Then she froze her hand as fast as she could. Eli then started to make a small rainstorm over her wash basin. Eli concentrated on all of the metal in the room. It took a little more effort than she thought it would so she closed her eyes to concentrate. There was a lot of metal used in the construction of the cell. Eli was so focused on her analysis of the metal that hearing Jarvette's voice made her jump, and teleport on accident.
The first thing that popped into her head was Loki, literally. In Eli's lapse of concentration, the god managed to break through her barriers. Thusly, when Eli landed, she was in Loki's cell just above his head. Loki's head snapped up when he heard the vacuum of air pop above his head. Eli yelped as she felt gravity kick in. She felt Loki's hands on her waist when he attempted to catch her, but her momentum was too much and they tumbled to the floor.
His body was cool against hers. His breath fanned against her neck and ear. Eli could feel her body relax against him. Eli pushed herself up. Now she could see his face. It was so familiar, the straight nose, the parted lips, the fierce green eyes. Suddenly, Eli got the urge to kiss him. Then he smirked and opened his stupid mouth.
"It's good to know you still can't resist me," is what he said, and Eli thought it was the most offensive thing anyone could have ever said to her. Without thinking, Eli punched Loki across the face as hard as she could. His head snapped to the left.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Eli hissed at him. Loki looked back at her in a shocked daze. "I heard what they think of me, no thanks to you! Half of them think I'm an easy fuck! And the other half are ready to skewer me! And don't even get me star-"
Loki sat up and pulled Eli to him, into a kiss. Eli relaxed completely against him; her anger left her in a rush of air. The kiss was tender, loving and passionate. Eli could feel her heart swell with Loki's emotion. Of their own accord, Eli's hands brushed against Loki's chest then to his face and finally pulled Loki closer to her. Loki's hands ran themselves through Eli's hair.
When Loki pulled away, he had Eli breathless. Unwilling to move away, Eli held onto Loki. She pulled him close to her, just relishing his unique warmth and his smell.
"How did you manage to get yourself on Asgard?" Loki asked.
"I'm pretty sure that I fell into a wormhole. I landed on the Bifrost after falling from over a hundred feet. I've been here for nearly two weeks." Eli explained. "I've been unconscious for most of it."
Loki smiled for a moment, "So I can assume that you're not here to free me."
Eli smiled and looked down, "No, I'm not here to break you out of prison. I'm here to keep my powers in check, until we find a way to get me back home…"
Loki's eyes became guarded for a moment, before they seemed to have resigned themselves. Eli felt her heart squeeze.
"He's alive," Eli said without thinking. "Phil, Phil Coulson, I mean. I don't know how, but he managed to survive, somehow."
The light came back in Loki's eyes for a moment. He knew what she was talking about. Eli brushed her fingers across Loki's face where she punched him. His cheek was just barely swollen. Eli kissed his cheek in apology. Loki pulled Eli back to him in an embrace. Eli's already weak resolve was breaking. Eli held Loki tighter.
Loki brushed his lips up Eli's neck and breathed in her scent deeply. He kissed behind Eli's ear, and the brunette shuddered and arched into Loki involuntarily. Loki kissed her again, just as gently as before. This was so different than the first time they kissed in the Helicarrier. Then, it was all electricity, need, and urgency. Now, it was slow burning, passion, and pure desire. Eli kissed Loki back with as much passion as she could. All of her hurt, anger, joy and love poured from her; and Loki met her passion with equal fervor.
Eli shifted herself on Loki's lap and pulled at his leather jacket. Loki let the brunette go to remove the jacket. Loki leaned forward to push Eli down. He kissed her relentlessly. Loki pulled at Eli's long skirt, pushing it up her long legs. The length of her legs gave Loki pause, but just for a moment. Eli bit her lip at the feel of his calloused hands on her thighs.
With a burst of urgency Eli pulled off the broaches keeping her dress together. Loki half smirked at Eli's impatience. Eli pulled Loki back into a kiss, giving the god no time to get a good look at her. With a nip to Eli's lips, Loki removed the rest of her dress. Eli shivered as most of her heated skin was exposed. Eli gasped when Loki ran his hand over her breast, down her stomach and rested just above her panty line. He pulled away and looked down Eli's body with an annoyed look in his eyes.
"You're taller," he said simply. His voice was rough. Eli smiled warmly and phased to her natural height of five feet and completely naked before him.
"Better?" asked Eli breathlessly. Loki kissed between her breasts and open kissed all the way down to her navel. Eli mewled at his attentions. She groaned when he stopped, and half glared at the green eyed man. He pulled her up with him and carried her so that their chests were touching. He walked them to his green clad bed. He laid the brunette down on the bed and removed his shirt.
Eli sat on her knees at the edge of the bed. She pulled Loki to her by the edge of his pants. Her breast brushed against his bare flesh. She locked her eyes with Loki's as she undid his pants. Eli could feel him throbbing even through the leather. The blue eyed girl bit her lip before kissing Loki once more. Eli pushed his pants down his thighs, and she kissed his chest. Loki pulled her chin up. He kissed her once more before pushing her down to the bed and stepped out of his pants and boots.
Loki climbed over Eli. He brushed the left side of her face gently. Eli gasped loudly when Loki ran a finger down her wet slit. Eli breathed deeply, hardly believing that she was about to do this. Eli trembled as Loki aligned his head with her entrance; their gazes not once leaving eachother. Eli moaned loudly as Loki broke through her virgin barrier. Loki stilled inside of the brunette; he was panting above her. Eli pulled Loki into a needy kiss.
"Please…" Eli begged. Loki pulled out and pistoned forward. Eli moaned again and met every one of Loki's thrusts. She could feel him fill her to the hilt with every forward motion. She watched his face glaze over with elated passion. Eli clenched her core, causing the god to groan and thrust faster, harder into her.
Loki lifted her left leg onto her shoulder and nipped at her inner thigh, and he squeezed her breast. Eli moaned louder. In retaliation, Eli lightly scratched at Loki's nipples and down his arms. He hissed. He smirked down at Eli and he thumbed at her nub of nerves; it nearly caused Eli to come undone. He didn't relent his assault on her clitoris until Eli begged him.
"Loki-" Eli moaned. Loki stared down at Eli with something like adoration. Loki leaned down and kissed Eli's temple.
"I love you, Eli," he said quietly. Eli froze.
"Say it again."
"I love you."
"Again…please…"
"I love you. I love you. I love you."
Eli could feel her heart burst. There was no denying that she loved this man. There was no more pretending that she could fight against her feelings. Eli flipped them so she was riding Loki. She touched her forehead to his and let him see into her. Eli bared her soul to Loki in a way she promised herself that she never would. Every secret, every thought was open to him. When Eli pulled away, Loki grabbed her and forced their lips together with such passion that Eli was sure that she was dying.
Loki thrust upward into Eli while pulling her hips down. Eli bounced on his throbbing member moaning. Eli was sure that her being became transcendent. She felt more complete than she ever had before.
"Loki," Eli gasped out. "Please."
Loki smirked at Eli as he thrust harder into her. His fingers played with her clitoris. Eli cried out. She was sure that she was blushing hard. He was so close to having her release around him. Eli collapsed onto Loki's chest. She kissed and licked at his chest. This was beyond anything she had ever felt before. It was rising higher and higher. Eli felt her body quiver against Loki's.
"I- Ah!" Eli gasped. Loki moved faster against her. "Hn!"
Eli called out for Loki as her core throbbed, as she felt her release rip from her body. Her entire body became limp against the god. She was breathing hard against his body. Then he moved again within her. She shuddered and shakily moved with his body. He thrust into her; not letting her have a moment to breathe. If she was dying before, then she was certainly a disembodied soul now.
He teased her until she was once again writhing with ultimate pleasure. This time his hips moved urgently, seeking out his own release. Eli watched his flushed face. He was so unguarded and she wanted that moment to last forever.
Loki thrust hard into Eli again and she felt ropes and ropes of his hot seed pour into her. Eli stared into Loki's eyes panting. They stared into each others eyes for a long moment before Loki kissed Eli gently.
