Episode 7.15 Law of Gravity

Sara couldn't wait until the end of her shift, all she could think about was Grissom. She was normally focused on her job and her attention to detail was impeccable. Today however, after seeing Grissom in the hallway, she only had one thing one her mind.

The minute Sara's shift was over she raced to the locker room, grabbing her stuff she hurried out the door. If she could have driven faster she would have. As she pulled up to the garage of the apartment, she noticed Grissoms car wasn't there. Filled with disappointment, she locked her car and went inside, she was sure Grissom had left the lab earlier and would be waiting for her when she got home. Deciding to try not to let her disappointment bother her she headed for the shower.

A short time later Grissom reached their apartment and upon seeing Sara's car he frowned. He had wanted to beat her home, but he had stopped to get dinner and flowers thinking Sara wouldn't be home so soon, she usually doesn't leave the second her shift finishes. He thought he'd have enough time to do all that before she got home.

Opening the door to the apartment, Grissom breathed in deeply, he was glad to be back home. He took in the details around him, pictures of Sara and him, shelves of books and music, but mostly it smelt of Sara. She liked to burn candles and their home was always filled with fruity aromas. Their home, Grissom thought to himself, this is where he belonged. Four weeks away from Sara had made him truly realise how much he loved her and how much he needed to be with her.

Grissom looked around the house, to see where Sara was. He found her in their bedroom, she was standing in front of the mirror towel drying her hair. Grissom paused for a moment just to watch her, he was still taken by her beauty.

Sensing someone was behind her, Sara turned around. She smiled as she saw Grissom leaning against the door frame. Without words she made her way across the room and threw her arms around him. She kissed him deeply, she had missed him and she wanted to let him know.

Later Grissom and Sara laid side by side in their bed. Sara was resting her head on Grissoms chest with her arm draped across his middle. They hadn't really spoken, neither of them could hold back their need to feel the other one completely. Grissom rubbed his hand along Sara's back, thinking of how much he had missed her and how slow four weeks had really gone.

Breaking the silence, Sara spoke first.

"I'm glad your back"

Grissom smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Me too, I missed you, more than I thought I could" he replied.

Sara propped herself up her elbows so she could look at him. He looked refreshed, the dark circles under his eyes had gone and the tired lines that he had, had when he left were all but gone. She ran her fingers through his new rugged beard.

"Do you like it?" Grissom asked playfully

Sara scrunched up her nose,
"I'm not sure" She replied "I might get used to is though" smiling, she lent down to kiss him.

"I know I said it before, but I'm glad your back, I really missed you" she said to him "But you look much better, refreshed I guess."

"I feel much better" he answered "But I don't think I want to be away from you for that long again, I missed being home."

Sara lent in to kiss him.

"I don't want you to be away that long again either, next time I get to go with you" She said giggling as she spoke.

Grissom looked up her "Deal" he said "Next time you come with me."

Sara smiled down at him, she was sure it was an ear to ear grin. She was just so happy he was back, she didn't think she could ever express to him how much she needed him.

Grissom looked into her eyes, they were sparkling, and this made him happy. He pulled Sara down so she was once again lying on his chest. He wrapped his arms tight around her and whispered to her

"I love you Sara, and I couldn't be happier to be home"

Sara smiled into his chest.

"I love you too Gil."
