And now we are at one of the biggest GSR moments...

This one is more of post moments through out these 2 episodes, every time I watch it i wished the writes had elaborated more or shown more at different points - so here it is - this one goes over a few chapters

I combined the 2 to make it chronological because it makes more sense to read it that way, but I will skip the parts that played out on screen, we all know what happens no need for me to re-write two entire episodes - it's hard to know the exact timeline Sara's events Vs Grissoms but I have done my best

I hope you continue to enjoy, thank you for reading

Episode 7.24 & 8.01 Living Doll/Dead Doll:

SARA'S FIRST ATTEMPT AT ESCAPING

Sara hit the pavement hard. She rolled onto her side and moaned in pain. Stupid idea Sara, she said to herself. She was in pain, she couldn't get up and run. Her face was stinging and her arm was burning. She just wanted this to be over, she wanted to wake up and find this was one of her nightmares. She wanted Grissom. She fought hard to fight back tears, she wouldn't give Natalie the satisfaction of seeing her break. As she lay there praying Natalie had run herself of the road, Sara saw headlights coming her way. She moaned loudly again, she was not going to get away.

TIED UP ON THE BACK SEAT

Sara drifted into darkness, Grissom, his names lingered on her lips. As she blacked out she saw his face,
"You make me happy" his voice echoing into the darkness. Sara reached for him but he was too far away. She moved closer but it didn't help, for every step she took forward, he took another back.

AFTER GRISSOM FINDS THE MINIATURE:

"Pick up, Please pick up" Grissom begged through the phone. His heart was beating hard in his chest. He tried to tell himself Sara was fine.

Why hadn't he realized she hadn't checked in at the lab yet. She said she was on her way and that was at least an hour ago. Grissom cursed himself and tried her number again, hoping that Natalie hadn't found her yet.

"Come on Honey, I need you to pick up, Please pick up" He said into the phone. Grissom snapped shut the phone, his heart and mind racing, he knew she was under that car somewhere in the desert.

Grissoms phone rang, he looked at it hopefully, but was met with disappointment when Brass's name flashed on the screen.

"Grissom, we found her car, but there's no trace of her. I saw you trying to call her."

"Thanks Jim" Grissom said as he headed toward the layout room, he wanted everyone in there ASAP.

Grissoms insides were twisting as everyone spoke, all he could think about was Sara, where was she, was she already under the car in the dessert, was she really still alive, and where was the girl who had her. The conversation was a blur, Natalie was at the crime scene of the car wreck him and Sara had worked on. He tried to think back, what had he done to give away his relationship with Sara. It couldn't have been much, no one else had noticed. Was it his fault that Sara was taken.

He heard Catherine say "I don't know, this just feels different"

Grissom felt his breath catch in his chest, his heart raced and his stomach knotted. It was.

"This girl holds me responsible for the death of Ernie Dell. I took away the only person she ever loved, so she's gonna do the same thing to me."

He didn't notice the stares, he didn't notice the puzzled looks on their faces, and if he did he wouldn't have cared anyway.

"It's not about a psychotic reaction to bleach, or some dead sister or the doll." Grissom said to no one in particular. But he had an idea, he turned and left the layout room and headed for his computer. Nothing would stop him from finding Sara and the girl responsible.

Interrogation Room:

Grissom stared at Natalie, he had ruined there only chance of getting any information on Sara. He took a step away from Natalie, did he just kill Sara? The thought ripped at his heart. No he told himself. He would not think that, he would find Sara, they just needed a different avenue. He exited the integration room followed closely by Brass

"Grissom" Brass called out

Grissom stopped and turned back to him.

"What?" he said, a little more aggressively than he had meant.

"Griss, come on, you need to keep it together. That back there with Natalie, that wasn't ok. I know you want to find Sara but we needed Natalie's help"

Grissom pressed his fingers against the bridge of his nose.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry, I just can't help but blame myself. Where did she take her Jim?" Grissom sounded defeated.

Brass's phone rang he excused himself to take the call. As he made his way back to Grissom, Natalie was being escorted out of the interrogation room, speaking to Grissom he said

"I just got off the horn with Search and Rescue. We have three choppers in the air with night vision and IR. Now, the weather's getting cooler, so a warm body will be easier to find."

"If Sara's under the car, the metal will conceal her." Grissom said, doing his best to control his worry

"Maybe she got out."

Grissom didn't really hear what Brass said, the news report on the TV had caught his attention.
" They've just issued a severe weather alert for north Las Vegas, so let's go right to Gina for the latest on these thunderstorms."

Grissom stepped closer to the TV so he could hear it better.

"Three thunderstorms are converging and heading right for us. So, up to three inches of rain. They're expected to hit in the next eight hours. Flash-flood warnings have been issued for the city and surrounding desert areas"

Grissom heart stopped, Oh No, He thought to himself. If the miniature he was sent was accurate, and history showed it would be, then Sara was under a car that was at the bottom of a downward slope. It wouldn't be long before she was under water. Just to be sure Grissom went and got a beaker of water, he rushed back to the miniature and began to pour the water over it. He's fears were confirmed, it wouldn't be long until Sara was completely drowned by the sudden onset of rain. Grissom sat down, this can't be happening, he thought, I can't lose her".
