Season 11.19 Unleashed

Sara walked through the front door and slammed it shut. She had managed to finish this case with outwardly expressing her anger towards Heather, or to the fact that she knew were her husband was. But as she drove home, she let it get to her. Grissom had told her nothing had ever happened between them, and last time Sara had come face to face with her she let her emotions get the better of her. How could she not, Grissom always had an infatuation with Heather, and Sara was still worried he would one day go after her. She dialed Grissoms number and she listened to it ring. She moaned in frustration as it went to his voice mail.

"Hey Gil" She said as calmly as possible "So you probably already know this but we had a case today that Heather Kessler ended up being connected to. I just want to talk to you, she seemed to know about where you are at the moment. I love you"

She snapped the phone shut. She tried to calm down so if Grissom did call she didn't sound like a raging lunatic. She didn't know why Grissom and Heathers friendship angered her so much, but the fact that it was something Grissom would just disregard bothered her.

Grissom listened to Sara's and messaged and hung up the phone. Pinching the bridge of is nose he knew he needed to call Sara sooner rather than later. He hated to hear anger in her voice, and he wanted to so much to be with her now. He opened up his laptop to find a flight home. Peru would still be there in a week, but Sara might not.

Twenty for hours later Grissom unlocked his front door, he took a deep breath, taking in the joy of being home. He hadn't been back here for months, but it felt good. Looking around he wondered what time Sara would be home. Putting his things down Grissom headed for the shower. He let the water run over him, showers in Peru just weren't the same.

A short time later Sara entered the apartment, she went through her usual routine, put her keys down, took the groceries to the counter, poured herself some water and headed for the bedroom. As she was rounding the corner into the room, Grissom was coming out. Grissom smiled but Sara hadn't seen him as she came around the corner, and let out a scream when she bump into him.

Grissom laughed at the look on Sara's face.

"Jeez Gil, you scared me half to death, I didn't know there was anyone else here" Sara spoke but she was grinning from ear to ear.

Grissom opened his arms, inviting Sara for a hug. Sara wrapped her arms around him tight as she felt his arms around her too.

"I thought you weren't going to be happy to see me honey" Grissom said thinking about the reason he dropped everything for Sara.

"Gil why wouldn't I be happy to see you, I've missed you" Sara said still not letting him go.

"I got your message, about Heather" He said simply.

Sara pulled away looking sheepish.

"Oh Gil, I'm sorry, I just get so angry when it comes to Heather. And you obviously keep in touch with her because she knew where you were."

Grissom smiled at her, cupping her hands with her face.

"Honey, how many times do we have to go over this? Heather and I are friends, that's it" he said to her.

"I know Gil, I know, but it doesn't matter, when I see her, and I think of you and her and the way she acts, it makes my insides boil." Sara said "And the way she speaks to me, like she knows you better than me, you know?"

Grissom lent down and kissed Sara on the lips.

"Honey, you have nothing to worry about, and Heather, well she treats most people that way. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that's the way she is." He said gently.

Sara looked at him, a hundred things were going through her head and she didn't know what to say first.

"I know, I know" Sara said feeling foolish "I'm sorry, you really didn't need to come all the way here."

Grissom smiled "It was about time I came home for a visit anyway. But are we ok?" he asked

Sara smiled "Of course we are. You're just married to a raging lunatic that's all"

Grissom laughed and grabbed her hand pulling her toward the bedroom.

"I love you, my raging lunatic" he said to her.
