Hi all thanks for continuing to read. So this again isn't a post ep story, more like a filler, because i feel like something major happened between Sara and Grissom for their story to go the way it did. and the writes on the show didn't leave us any clues. So this is my take on the issue.

Please enjoy, hopefully it doesn't upset anyone but just warning that its an upsetting subject for some people

Sara was curled up on the bathroom floor, she was in so much pain she couldn't walk, she had already called for an ambulance but she was scared. She had never felt such pain through her body, she fumbled with her phone, and she needed Grissom.

She dialed his number and waited for him to answer.

Grissom searched in the dark for his phone. He didn't bother to read the caller ID.

"Hello" He answered hoarsely.

"Gil" He heard Sara sob down the phone.

Grissom heart beat fast as he sat up, fully awake, hearing pain in Sara's voice.

"Sara, Honey, What's wrong?"

He heard Sara sob and the moan in pain.

"Honey talk to me, what's going on?"

"I don't know" Sara sobbed down the phone "Something's wrong with the baby, I can hardly move"

Grissom could hear how scared she was.

"Honey, take a deep breath, I need you to calm down." Grissom was trying to comfort Sara, but it was hard down the phone.

"Sara, have you called an ambulance or someone to come and help you?"

Sara moaned in pain again.

"Yes," She manage to sob, "I called an ambulance, but I need you Gil."

"Honey, I'll be on a plane as soon as I can, I'm coming ok" He said. Grissom already had his laptop out finding flights.

"Ok" Sara sobbed.

"I'm sorry" Grissom heard Sara whisper down the phone. He felt the hot sting of tears in his eyes,

"Honey, no, you have nothing to be sorry for. I just need you to take a few deep breaths ok, I just need you calm down."

Grissom heard Sara sobbing as she tried to control her breathing.

"Gil, I think the paramedics are here" Sara said softly.

"Ok Honey, I love you, and I'm going to be there as soon as I can."

"I love you too, please hurry" Sara said.

Grissom heard the phone disconnect.

Grissom was filled with fear, he could hear how much pain Sara was in, how scared she was, and he was too far away to be any help, it would be over twenty four hours before he could reach Sara and anything could have happened by then. If something was wrong with the baby, he knew Sara would be crushed, he knew she would struggle to deal with that.

Grissom was almost running through the hospital. It had been one of the longest flights he had been on, filled with fear and anxiety. He finally found Sara, he paused in the doorway to watch her for a moment. She was sleeping curled up on her side. Grissom walked in a sat by her bed taking her hand into his.

Feeling his hand on hers Sara opened her eyes. She felt a tear escape when she saw Grissom sitting there. Grissom reached over and brushed the tear from her face.

"Hey" He said gently to her,

Sara smiled weakly, although she wasn't feeling happy.

"Hey" She said back.

Grissom moved onto the bed and Sara sat up so she could lean against him. She pressed her face into his chest and without saying anything started crying. Grissom didn't need her to tell him what was wrong, he knew. As much as he didn't want it to be, Sara had lost the baby, and nothing he could do would ever be able to fix that.

Grissom rubbed his hand gently along her back, trying to sooth her. Eventually the crying subside and the two of them just sat there in silence. Sara was the first to speak.

"Gil, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen."

Grissom moved so Sara and he were sitting face to face. He gently wiped the tears from her face.

"No Honey, you haven't done anything to be sorry for, these things happen, and it's not a good thing, but it's nobody's fault."

Sara sobbed heavily.

"Sara, it going to be ok, we'll get through it ok. For now we just need to take care of you and make sure everything else is ok"

Sara nodded, Grissom placed a small kiss on her forehead.

"I Love you Honey, I'm so sorry that I wasn't here when you needed me the most"

Sara rested her head on Grissom chest. She closed her eyes and listened to soothing rhythm of his heartbeat.

"I Love you too Gil" Sara said as she closed her eyes.
