Thank you so much my amazing readers for your encouragements!

You keep me going!

Here's A very special blonde. ENJOY!

As her mouth unconsciously drew open, Caroline felt the heat flood through her every nerve and slowly reach her cheeks. She wanted to look away; she was desperate to look away, to break the moment… but she found it impossible. Klaus made a step towards her reducing the distance between them. In that instant, all his thoughts were directed in one and only place: Caroline –and how much he wanted her, needed her… As much as he tried to help it, her sweet rosy lips drew him in.

They were having a moment… an intense one; Klaus and Caroline were both aware of it. Unfortunately for the Mikaelson man, before anything she wasn't prepared for could happen, the blonde suddenly turned her attention back to the masterpieces and cleared her throat.

Klaus lowered his head and inwardly sighed. He felt that familiar rush of frustration that always seemed to arise whenever he was in Caroline's company.

"Though, your art could use a little bit of light." She remarked.

It was true. Klaus' paintings were very dark indeed.

Caroline stopped at a specific painting. It was one of the Second World War. There were corpses, weapons and blood everywhere. It was dark… Still, it was beautiful.

Tears formed in Caroline's blue eyes and she struggled to hold them back. The blonde moved away from Klaus to hide her face from him. Elijah was right: there was to Klaus than what meets the eye… way more. There was no way a man who was pure evil could manage to see and picture such genuine beauty in EVERY THING.

The Mikaelson man gazed at the stunning blonde, still quite mesmerized by her: they were so close a few seconds before. He had been at realizing his wildest dream's door.

Finally managing to get a grip on himself, he followed her.

"A little bit of light, huh?" he asked his game face back on.

Caroline turned to face him, intrigued, and met the smirk on his lips. He moved behind her to the end of the studio. The blonde turned to the other side to see what exactly he was doing.

There were canvases backed to the wall on the floor. Klaus bent down to pick up one of them. Because of the way he was holding it, she couldn't see what the masterpiece represented. He came back near Caroline and arranged the masterwork on the wall just before her.

At the sight of what was embodied, Caroline's mouth dropped open and her eyes widened in amazement. She was staring at her very self; and she looked… absolutely glowing.

"Oh my God…" she managed to utter with an emotional voice, her eyes shining with wonder.

She advanced towards the masterpiece, amazed. It was a chef-d'oeuvre. The shades, the shading, the colors, the light… everything was perfect, every intricate detail.

"Klaus…" she started. "…Is this supposed to be me?"

The Mikaelson man got closer to her within a step, his trademark smirk on his face.

"You're offending me, love." He told her. "I know I'm not quite the artist but still…" he was kindly mocking her.

The blonde gave him a playful slap on the chest keeping her gaze on her portrait.

She briefly turned towards him and pointed a finger at him. "Stop fishing for compliments!" Caroline scolded Klaus.

He chortled.

"This is breathtaking… magnificent…" she added in a breath.

"Please, it's just a pale imitation of the real thing."

She rolled her eyes and focused once again on the art masterpiece. She stared at herself in awe. She was so beautiful, and it was a weak word. He had managed to make her radiate with light in a painting! The artist couldn't possibly see her like that, could he? Her eyes unwillingly became watery at that thought. She knew she wasn't like that. She looked like a goddess, a goddess who lived above mere mortals. And she had this aura around her…

It was breathtaking…

"Is this really how you see me?" she asked after a moment in such a small voice Klaus wouldn't have heard him if it wasn't enough for his vampire hearing.

He smiled at her though he was facing her back. "It's how you are." He replied sincerely in a small voice as well.

She didn't say anything nor did she budge.

Nevertheless, Klaus was adamant on making her realize how special she truly was and how much he meant what he said to her.

"Caroline, look at me…"

The blonde run her tongue on her teeth in her mouth and reluctantly turned to face him. She didn't hold his gaze however, afraid to get lost in his blue eyes like she seemed to always do whenever her eyes met his scorching gaze and she saw the affection his eyes held for her. It took her a moment to finally steady her gaze on him, though it was pretty obvious she wanted nothing more than to look anywhere but at him.

"YOU ARE breathtaking…" Klaus told Caroline genuinely. "… magnificent." He added.

She made an attempt to look away, embarrassed, but Klaus stopped her taking her chin into his hand and brought her face back to him.

"You have to know that." He pressed. "You are SO beautiful, you have got to know that!" he insisted.

Caroline looked at Klaus, a lump forming in her throat as she took in his words and witnessed the sincerity in his eyes and heard the honesty in his voice.

Feeling the air shift, Klaus decided to lighten the mood. "Caroline, I swear I wouldn't be able to take it if you got any sexier." He said in a teasing tone of voice but he actually meant it.

The attempt was successful in any case because the blonde laughed but looked down, still pretty embarrassed.

"You believe what I said, right?" Klaus asked Caroline. "You know I meant every word?"

Caroline looked back up at him and nodded not trusting her voice enough to speak in that moment and not betray her emotion.

She turned to stare at the chef-d'oeuvre one last time and it was sufficient to make her understand what Klaus saw in her… why he was so inexorably drawn to her…

The way he pictured her… her glow, the way she radiated like sunbeams… it was obvious.

She was the light to his darkness.

Klaus and Caroline were in the dining room eating Chinese takeout: noodles with scampi.

"So is paying me a visit of your art studio and offering me a course of Chinese takeout your way to make up for your awful behavior of yesterday?" Caroline asked before taking a mouthful of her dish.

Klaus smirked, though he had to say he was quite embarrassed by his said-behavior.

"Why, is it working?" he falsely asked.

"Well, your masterpieces are real chefs-d'oeuvre and this is quite delicious." She admitted taking in another mouthful. "Um…wonderful!" she relished her noodles earning an amused smile from Klaus. "But not quite."

"Too bad." He said with a smile.

There was a small silent before Klaus spoke again.

"I know my behavior probably appeared to be weird and…"

"Utterly peculiar. As well as really out of place." Caroline completed for Klaus.

"That." He conceded. "I overreacted… I let my emotions take over and drove you away… I'm…' he paused and cleared his throat trying to find his words.

"Sorry." Caroline spoke. His eyes shot back to her so she elaborated. "The word you're looking for is 'sorry'." Caroline said as calmly as she could.

He stared at her in silence, not saying a word, listening to what she had to say; his throat burning him at the mere thought of uttering that particular word.

"Jesus, you're not even capable of apology, are you?!" Caroline exclaimed disbelievingly and Klaus kept staring at her boiling in the inside. He could feel anger rising and traveling his veins. You'd think a thousand years old vampire would have more easiness keeping his temper down and controlling his emotions than a baby vampire but it was no secret Klaus Mikaelson didn't exactly apply to that rule.

"Have you ever?" she questioned. "Apologized? … To anyone…?" she pressed though she assumed she already had the answer. "And a thousand years ago doesn't count." The blonde pointed out.

"That's enough!" Klaus eventually spoke. "Don't judge me!" he recommended pointedly.

"If you don't want to be judged then… don't give people reason to." She snapped.

Klaus remained silent for an instant, being satisfied with staring at Caroline, his eyes darkened.

"You really aren't afraid of me, are you?"

"Would you like me to?" the blonde asked back.

"No." he admitted bearing a small smile on his face.

Again, there was a moment of stillness. However, that one was a little longer and more peaceful. Both Caroline and Klaus had calmed down.

"Tatia, the Original doppelganger…" he started, breaking the silence. "I'm not the only Mikaelson who got bewitched by her… Elijah fell for her too." He confessed.

Caroline's eyes widened. "For real?"

Well really, Elijah, you have an irremediable thing for doppelgangers, Caroline took a mental note.

She didn't quite take the information. What was it with those Petrova woman and brothers?! Was there a curse or something?!

And how come she only heard about this now and not from Elena or even Stefan? Surely, at least one of them knew; and since they told each other everything…

"For real." He answered.

"So what she chose him over you?" Caroline tried to bring the pieces together.

"As a matter of fact… she dated us both." He paused and watched the blonde's expression as his confession sank in: she was stunned.

"Secretly at first and… less discreetly then." he gave more details.

"Wow…" was all Caroline managed to say, superseded by that influx of information.

Wow, really, those doppelgangers had a lot more in common than their beautiful raven hair, their irresistible charm and their bloodline…

She always thought Katherine was a bitch but maybe finally it wasn't entirely her fault… if it was inscribed in her genes, the poor girl.

"So yesterday when I saw you with Elijah, I…" Klaus continued. "I had an impression of déjà-vu. And I got…"

"Jealous. Insecure." Caroline once again completed for Klaus.

Klaus narrowed his eyes. "You need to stop finishing my sentences, Caroline." He warned; however amused and ecstatic before the bravery she seemed to display in all circumstances. "And I don't get jealous or insecure."

"Of course you don't." she ironically supported him.

He raised an eyebrow at her and gave her his trademark smirk. "Okay, maybe I was a little jealous."

"Just a touch." The blonde commented gesturing with her hand.

He raised his head and looked at her from the corner of his eye; she derisively smiled at him.

She got up and started walking around the room.

"Are you still in love with her?" the words came out before she could bring a hand to her mouth. And the mere thought that the answer to her question could be yes aroused a pang of jealousy inside Caroline's chest in a place very close to her heart.

"With whom?"

The blonde stopped on her steps. "Rebekah." she ironically answered. "Tatia! You silly idiot." She told him before shaking her head in disbelief.

At that, Klaus stared at her back grinning like a fool.

Though they weren't facing, Caroline could tell Klaus was staring. Picturing the smirk on his face, she closed her eyes and immediately regretted her intrusion and reaction. She started walking again.

"No." The Mikaelson man eventually answered. "I don't love her anymore."

His answer caused a wave of relief to overwhelm the blonde.

"And I'm delighted to know you care." He declared.

Caroline turned around to face Klaus. "Who said I did?" she asked him.

He appeared inches away from her in a second. They were at eye level and they looked at each other defiantly.

"You just did." He answered.

Kol and Bonnie spent most of their date in the theater room in the basement. They watched the Harry Potter movies up to the fourth one (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) while sharing an entire container full of chocolate popcorn, which was Bonnie's favorite. Kol learnt a lot about the brown woman during this non-date: like the fact her favorite color was green which also happened to be his, her indispensable item was her iPod, or even the fact she had been friends with Elena and Caroline for as long as she could remember, etc…

The Mikaelson man promised the witch he'd watch the two next HP movies and tell her what he had thought of it.

It was nearly eleven p.m., and it was now time for Bonnie to head back home.

Kol was –like a gentleman would –walking the lady out.

"I had a wonderful time." Kol confessed. "Thanks for staying. I hope you don't regret it…"

The witch raised a sly eyebrow at him and rolled her eyes slightly shaking her head. She kept walking, without answering his silent question.

Kol watched her move, studied her face… trying to read her thoughts since she had decided to give him the silent treatment. Indeed, she hadn't uttered a word for five good minutes now.

"Do you think we could do this again?" Kol asked trying to mask his hesitation but his voice not quite fooling her.

Bonnie stopped and turned around to face him. "No."

"But… I thought you had a good time." He said and as she didn't respond, he doubted. "Didn't you?"

During their whole 'non-date', Kol had effectively been under the impression that Bonnie was enjoying herself: against all odds, she accepted to talk to him about herself, she hadn't stopped laughing… both because of the movie or because of some random jokes he would make, and she had even teased him a couple time…

People had to be more or less close to do that, right? Tease?

"You remind of Ron." Bonnie had said half-teasingly interrupting the movie just after Ron found himself short of a date for the dance organized by the School.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kol had asked, taking offence.

"You are as wrongly full of yourself as he is."

"I am not full of myself, lovely Bonnie." He had assured her looking her in the eyes. "I just…" he shrugged and his face became serious causing Bonnie to become serious as well.

"…happen to know what I'm worth." He had finished with a grin.

Bonnie had rolled her eyes and he had sniggered.

"Look, you are incredibly annoying and stunningly presumptuous." Bonnie complimented Kol half-sincerely half-playfully. "But you do have a certain charm and, maybe I could have let myself be seduced… But you have a terrible timing, Kol. I cannot commit myself into a relationship whereas I still have a foot into another." She declared. "Jeremy and I have an unresolved history and unresolved feelings and…" she confessed.

"I get it." Kol intervened. "There's a lot unresolved between you and Jeremy."

The witch just stared at the Mikaelson man waiting for him to keep going.

"And when you resolve them… however long it takes… remember you have my number." He told her.

She kept looking at him and slowly nodded giving him a small smile. But as she turned around, Kol grabbed her arm and pulled her in. While her hand landed on his chest, Kol's lips found Bonnie's and they met in a hot squeeze. Caught off guard, Bonnie had her eyes wide open not sure what was happening; as the kiss intensified, she eventually surrendered and relished in the kiss closing her eyes.

It wasn't rough and wild; it was a soft, sensual kiss. As their tongues tangled, he brought a hand inside her hair near her ear which was her sensitive spot and Bonnie thought she was going to lose it. His lips on the witch's, his tongue devouring her mouth, Kol swore he had never tasted anything sweeter. He wanted anything but to pull away; he could have spent the rest of eternity kissing her.

They eventually separated and Kol released Bonnie who obviously had her head in the clouds still high from the strong exchange. She reopened her eyes out of breath, almost panting.

"What was that?" she asked in an imperceptible voice.

"A kiss." Kol said with a shy smile. "For future reference." He paused. "Don't forget you have my number." He declared wincing at Bonnie before returning to his house leaving her as stunned, speechless, and breathless as ever.

Rebekah and Caroline were at the mall. Their shopping was done and they were carrying more than four bags each.

All this time together had enabled them to bond and share: besides their preference for Chinese food, the two girls had a certain number of common points like their favorite movie or even their favorite artist.

"I can't believe you've seen the notebook." Caroline commented. "Weren't you daggered when it came out?" she teased earning a deathly glare from the other blonde.

"Don't you dare make jokes about that!" Rebekah warned throwing French fries at Caroline. The latter laughed.

With all this common ground, Caroline wondered why they had ever been enemies and spent so much time battling. They could've been great friends in high school if Rebekah hadn't been so adamant on getting Stefan back and rotting her best friend's life. However, she couldn't really blame her for that first part: Stefan and she had been robbed off in a way; at least that's what the Mikaelson lady used to reckon.

The two blondes were seated on a bench at the mall eating a Royal Cheese (for Rebekah) and a Big Tasty (for Caroline) they had just bought at a McDonald restaurant.

"Oh my goodness… I am in heaven!" declared Caroline taking another bite of her Big Tasty.

Rebekah looked at Caroline an amused expression on her face and chuckled.

"Finish rapidly! I still have a blue bikini to buy." She ordered.

"Sh! Let me indulge!" The other blonde countered before she bit into her meal yet again.

Rebekah chuckled again.

"Finish!"

Caroline groaned.

"Come on, finish!" she ordered pulling Caroline away from the bench.

The latter let out yet another grunt.

"Wait! The straws!" she said pointing at the bag containing them.

She grabbed the bag and took hold of the other blonde's arm. As they were heading for a boutique, the Mikaelson woman's phone rang and she released her shopping partner's hand to answer it letting her free to sit down again and finish her Big Tasty.

'Hello?'

'Hello sweetheart, how are you since this morning?' she heard her boyfriend say causing her to blush.

"Ew…" Caroline commented.

"Don't listen in on my conversations!" Rebekah scolded.

"Sorry." She apologized continuing to eat.

'Are you alone?' asked Matt.

'Nope. I'm shopping with Caroline.' She told him. 'Well, I'm shopping; she's eating.'

The other blonde showed out her tongue.

The Mikaelson woman smiled and turned to continue her conversation more 'privately'.

The Forbes woman got up and went to the trash can to throw the empty box. Rebekah copied her and threw the bag she was holding.

"But… Rebekah, the straws…" Caroline spoke pointing at the trash can.

"Oops" she said going back to the trash to look into it.

Caroline's eyes widened and she burst out laughing. She turned and brought an arm to her mouth to stop her laughter, very unsuccessfully.

She fell back on the bench laughing uncontrollably. "Ha!" she couldn't seem to keep her laughter down despite the weird looks she and Rebekah were getting.

'Are you with me?' Matt asked over the phone.

'Sweetheart, I'll call you back, ok? Love you.' Rebekah declared.

'Love you too.'

She hung up and picked up the bag of straws in the trash before she showed it to her accomplice. "There it is!"

"She's crazy!" stated Caroline still laughing.

"What?" Rebekah asked chuckling, with a falsely innocent air. "Come on, let's go."

The other blonde got up, very lightly calmed.

"You are not ok." She stated. "You have a problem, Rebekah. You just searched into a dustbin!"

"You wanted your straws or not?"

"You are crazy! Completely barmy!" Caroline was still stunned and she was still laughing.

Rebekah shrugged as they kept walking.

"Un-believ-able."

Klaus was in his art studio thinking about Caroline for a change. Funny how daydreaming about the blonde had become his favorite and main activity lately!

These seven past years while she was away either studying or on her world tour, Klaus had thought about Caroline approximately three times per day. And since she had come back, he thought about her up to three times per hour! Huge change, huh? Well, what could the poor man do about it…? She was intoxicating… and she had this sly way to get inside his mind and stay there that left Klaus perplexed.

He admired everything about her: she was beautiful, strong, reckless, full of light… The Original Hybrid had never in his thousand years of existence met someone who held onto their humanity with such vigor and tenacity, not once; Caroline Forbes was the first and only one. She was a very special blonde. Caroline was like a place Klaus had never been to… a place he longed to explore in its lesser nooks.

She had this way of challenging him… like no one else dared. She didn't buy his false assurance, his aggressiveness and his shows of force; she knew better. She seemed to think there was a part of him that was still human; she believed it. Klaus, him, wasn't so sure… but for her, he was willing to find out and maybe show it more often. There were moments when the blonde would look at him like she saw someone other than the Big Bad Evil, like she caught a glimpse of who he used to be –before Tatia, his vampire life and mostly his parents ruined him. He longed to see himself through her eyes in those moments. He wanted to be that man again for Caroline, with Caroline. Everyone has a bright side, and a dark side. She awoke his bright side.

Weirdly enough, Klaus used to be thankful to Tatia and his parents; he used to think they had all done him a favor: made him stronger, less vulnerable to attacks… But now that he had Caroline in his life, doubts arose; he had never realized that he was missing something until he met her. He couldn't quite put a name on what he felt for her: it was as though he breathed pure air for the first time –after being buried underground for ages –and it overwhelmed him with all his being while circling him in his entirety.

Things were slowly moving up between them. Indeed, if the way she reacted to Klaus henceforth was any indication, the blonde was starting to warm up to the idea of something happening between them… eventually.

Let's analyze the first night they saw each other again in more than seven years, shall we? When she turned around after hearing his voice and saw Klaus actually standing before her, looking as handsome as ever, giving her a hundred watt genuine smile and showing off those sexy dimples of his in the same occasion, Caroline's face instantly lit up even more than it already was. Sure she was surprised, but judging by her expression and how her eyes began to shine brighter at the sight of him, the blonde was undeniably happy to see him.

Yet, seven, eight years ago, Caroline would have most likely greeted the Original Hybrid with a sigh of exasperation, an exhalation or even an eye-rolling… and that, no matter the circumstances.

So yes, the least one could say was that there had been some non-negligible progress between those two and that could be noticed in the smallest details.

He loved and hated the way he felt around her with equal measure. Yet, he couldn't but help search her company and want her by his side. Klaus had never felt that defenseless and empowered all at the same time in his whole existence. That stunning blonde was like a blessing and a poison all in the same. She awoke something in him he thought had died forever along with him a thousand years ago. He wanted to have her. He HAD to have her.

He hadn't seen her in two days, which was nothing compared to the seven years he had spent away from her but still he actually missed talking to her. Hell, he missed her mere presence by him. Of course, there was still a big part of Klaus that kept trying to convince the other that it was all about attraction and perhaps, infatuation… nothing more.

Indeed, Klaus knew and accepted the fact that he had feelings for Caroline. He was far past the denial point. He was done trying to deny or suppress his feelings for the young lady. He had gotten over the fact that was fairly impossible a long time ago, not that he would ever admit it to anyone and certainly not to the blonde in question.

However, Klaus had no idea to what extent those feelings went or at least his conscious part didn't. He remembered that so special night seven years ago when the Bennett witch locked him into the Gilbert's living room and Tyler Lockwood came to defy him. He bit Caroline that night for revenge: he was so adamant on showing he was the Alpha male he hurt the only one he truly cared about. But he wasn't able to watch her die; it was too much to ask of him. For the first time, that night, the Big Bad Evil hadn't been able to stick to his goal.

When he saw Caroline's light slowly fade away, her being slowly disappear from the earth, Klaus felt something in him move: he felt his heart tighten in his chest and he felt a part of him leave with her –the best part of him. And when she fell into unconsciousness, that was the fatal stroke for Klaus; he couldn't let her die, he just couldn't. He didn't have that much strength. He refused to live in a world where Caroline Forbes didn't exist.

So what exactly was that? If not love…

"Niklaus, can you come up, please?" Elijah's voice resounded through the walls and pulled Klaus out of his thoughts.

"Why?" he asked.

"I need to talk to you."

"I'm having a bad day." Klaus declared. "Surely, it can wait."

"It can't." stated Elijah in an asserted voice.

He lifted his gaze. Then, after a few seconds of reflection, he headed for his studio's exit heaving a sigh.

"This better be impor…" he declared as he entered the room. He stopped as he saw his woman's dream seated near Elijah. "…tant."

She stood up and Klaus' eyes directed somewhere behind her. His eyes widened and his mouth dropped open at the sight before him: luggage.

She noticed his gaze shift and immediately understood.

"Yep, I am moving in." she voiced and confirmed his unavowed thoughts.

The Caroline/Rebekah scene was inspired by a personal experience: a shopping tour with a cousin.

We were in Belgium to visit other family members and I can't remember a time when I laughed so much. She is CRAZY! But I love her and it's family.
