A/N: Hello and welcome to NaNoWriMo. As I've promised I will be posting almost everyday. This is November 1st. I will not be posting tomorrow as I have work and then I'm babysitting until 11:30pm. But if you don't see an update by Sunday, start messaging. And I will warn you If I know there's going to be a day I don't post. Like Thanksgiving. Not posting that day. And I am using the song: NaNoWrimo Song by Kristina Horner to drive me. I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter. I think we all needed a sweet moment because this chapter will be harsher. It was pointed out to me that we haven't gotten to see the true wrath of molly. I can honestly admit I forgot about her. But I don't think she'd handle this through a howler. And we also haven't seen our favorite villain in a long time.

"It's only sixteen-sixty seven words a day
given up your social life and stay indoors
and forget about your grades, your boyfriend, and your job
Do it later, 'cause now I need to write a thousand words"

Chapter 15

Hermione woke feeling something tighten on her stomach. She opened her eyes and looked to see Severus' hand covering her abdomen and it was clenching. It was so alien to her that she just lay there in shock. It took her a moment to remember why she was in the library and why she was surrounded by a load of maternity books, but once the shock wore off she jolted up and away.

Her sudden movement seemed to wake up Severus, who started holding his arm. She knew what that meant. Voldemort was calling. Hemrione wondered what he wanted. She wondered if she was going to have to accompany him.

"Go get dress Hermione. We're needed."

She didn't want to stay there a second longer. She took off up to her room.

Luna!

Merlin Hermione, do you really need to yell?

We slept together!

I know, it's kind of a stipulation of you-

No, I mean we just slept. Even when we've had sex, I left and went to my own room.

What's the big deal then?

I'm pregnant.

What? Already? But how do you know?

My healer figured out why I had a tubule pregnancy. And magic can tell you the moment of conception.

Well Congratulations, but I don't see the big deal about sleeping.

Things are going to fast. He is really trying and we were reading last night. How could I have fallen asleep so close to him?

Hermione, you can't be so bipolar towards him.

Excuse me?

Look, you're gentle with him one minute, going on about getting to know one another and then the next you're giving him the cold shoulder. You need to decide if you're going to actually try. I don't think you need to though. Look at how well things are. You have found a level of comfort.

Luna! Come on, you know I'm not comfortable here.

Really? Because you have a room decorated to your liking. You have a routine. You enjoy his cooking and you love the attention. You know it.

Hermione checked out. She wasn't about to admit in conversation that she was in fact growing comfortable in her new life. She could even say she was almost happy. Given the mood of where she was going, Hermione cast a quick wash charm and then put on an emerald green dress.

"Hermione, are you decent?"

Hermione found herself surprised at the fact that Severus stood outside his wife's door asking if she was decent.

"Yes."

When Severus stepped into her room, she realized that this was the first time he'd been in her room since she moved in and made it her own. There was nothing embarrassing about it, just a few bookshelves and a desk that weren't there before. He looked around briefly before placing an arm out for her to grab and with the blink of an eye they were gone.

"Ah, Severus, Hermione, How lovely to see you," Voldemort greeted as they walked through the door. Severus nodded and watched Hermione. Then she remembered why he was doing so.

Hermione bowed her head and curtsied very slightly and spoke softly, "My lord."

"Well done, Severus. You're training her quite well."

Hermione bit her tongue. Severus wasn't training her at all. He had no real power over her.

"Yes, she's a very obedient wife."

Voldemort chuckled and led them to a room with the other death eaters. Hermione looked to Narcissa for help. All she got was a look of sympathy.

"You must all be wondering why I brought you here today."

The death eaters nodded politely in unison, and some even spoke out saying that they were indeed curious as to what their master wanted.

Voldemort looked straight at Hermione and held out a hand. She looked to Severus who simply nodded for her to accept. Gingerly she placed her hand in the out stretched one as Voldemort pulled her closer.

"Well my friends, we all know of the scandal attached to Severus' young bride," Hermione felt the judgmental eyes on her as he continued, "But that is in the past. I think we can all agree that she's being punished for her actions seeing as if it weren't for that, she wouldn't be here. Now I hear that Dolhov has yet to bear his punishment."

Hermione looked to Voldemort in confusion. Dolhov, the one who cursed her? Surely he wasn't being punished for that.

"My lord, wha-what did I do to displease you."

"Thanks to you Severus and Hermione here were almost unable to ever conceive. You would have trapped him to a barren wife. Why did you not speak up."

"Forgive me, my lord, It was not my intention. I merely thought it would kill one of Potter's friends."

"But you didn't speak up when we had her? When Severus agreed to marry her? During the wedding?"

"Forgive me!"

"That is not my place. You need to suffer the punishment of Severus' choosing."

Hermione looked to Severus. She knew this was a test. If He really was on Voldemort's side he'd have to do something. And He did. His wand was raised and aimed.

"Crucio"

Hermione's insides twisted as she watched the man who cursed her crumple up on the floor in pain. She watched him twitch and scream. Part of her enjoyed it. He was getting pay back. But part of her felt it made her no better than him.

"Stop it!" She screamed out.

Everyone in the room looked to her, some in shock that she actually spoke out, some in disgust that she would interrupt something their Lord wanted, and one in pride that she stopped something that was morally wrong.

"Severus, there's no need to hurt anyone. We know the truth and we learned it in time. In 9 months time we'll have a child and he will know that he lost and he failed."

"Severus, you didn't say anything," Voldemort mused.

"I had no intention of doing so until three months. Although implantation is guaranteed, a miscarriage could happen."

"Let me fix that," Voldemort said as he raised his wand towards Hermione's abdomen, "Ut portet nomen."

Hermione felt a warmth fill her and then settle in her womb before fading away.

"I think a celebration is in order," Lucius spoke, "Severus will finally have an heir."

"Yes, let's have a small celebration and Narcissa, you will remain with Hermione, I am sure you have plenty of wisdom to share."

And with Voldemort's last order, the death eaters vainshed leaving Hermione and Narciassa alone together once again.
