A/N: Here it is, the final posting and my first completed fanfic. Thank you all for reading and reviewing and indulging my little fantasy. All I have is one note on this epilogue, each bit is so many years after the battle. So it starts with 5 years after, and will end with 19 years after. All of it is are the battle, not the previous section. So without further ado, the epilogue and an update from "in progress" to "complete"

Five Years After

"No, Hermione, I do not want to have this discussion again."

"Severus, please. I don't understand. Why not?"

"Because, in case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly a young wizard anymore."

"But Severus, I've finished my schooling, and got a few years in the ministry under my belt. I want to grow our family. I want Rose and Dahlia to have more than each other. I want more children. Even just one would be nice."

Severus rolled his eyes. She brought this conversation up every few months and he was tempted to agree just to get her to stop, but he didn't think he could handle more children, especially because his comment about not having his daughter turn out like the Wesley twins, did not happen. They ate up everything the young men did.

"Hermione, I will turn fifty during the twins' first year at Hogwarts. I'm too old."

"Severus Snaps, if you are too old for that, then you're definitely too old for last night's activities," she whispered gently in his ear as she staked his lap in their bed, "and I do believe you had more than enough stamina then."

He groaned as she did this, the little minx. "Hermione, there is a very big difference between raising children," he said gruffly as he flipped them over, pinning her to the mattress, "and having amazing sex with you."

She giggled at his comment and took his face in her hands, "but Severus, think about all the amazing sex we can have to help our family grow. We could have sex every day even. Maybe ask Remus and Ron's to watch the girls for a few days and take a vacation. Please, Severus. I really want this."

Her eyes begged him as her hands went to weave themselves in his hair. He was so tired of fighting her on this, and she was so convincing.

"Please, can we at least try, maybe we could try until we have a boy."

He grimaced at the thought for a moment, "We are not going to be like the Weasleys, trying until we have a boy."

She giggled again and kissed him, "I don't want that many kids."

"Alright, witch," he grilled as he kissed her again, "have it your way."

Seven Years After

Severus woke to the sound of a screaming infant. He moved from the bed silently, hoping to silence the crying baby before he had a chance to wake Hermione. She needed all the rest she could get before her first day back to work since having their son seven weeks before. He picked up the crying infant, and was thankful all he needed was a changed.

As Severus changed the boy's nappie, he thought about how she almost cried when she found out she was pregnant again, because she had been starting to think that they wouldn't be able to conceive, she was worried that the only reason they had in the first place was because of that awful spell. But he had fund her in tears in the bathroom, and immediately thought something was wrong. But then she showed him the pregnancy test, and that it was positive. Even he couldn't deny how happy he was at the news.

He laid the infant back in his crib and squeezed the hand of the teddy bear, to activate is charm to sing the boy to sleep.

Eleven Years After

Everyone celebrated the four year old's birthday, even though it was so close to Christmas. But he ate up the attention. Especially as his older sisters ran around, trying to get him to chase them. And if he caught them, they handed him a "gift" witch was really a canister of joke snakes. He'd scream and laugh and run away, then go about it all over again.

"Eric has a lot to learn," Severus groaned as he watched the scene.

"He's only four, and you taught him to protect them."

"Clearly I still need to teach him some things."

Hermione laughed and pulled her husband down to kiss him, "come with me."

She led him out of the living room at the Burrow and upstairs to the room they were staying in for the holidays. They laid down on the bed, enjoying the time alone.

"So, old man, you turn fifty next month, still feeling old," she teased.

He shook his head and pulled her close, "I have felt old for a while, you minx."

She giggled, "And the children, do they really steal away all your energy?"

"Are you really asking that after last night?"

She looked him dead in the eye, with a sweet and loving look and kissed him gently, "Glad to hear you say that."

"Why's that?"

"Well, um, you see-"

"Hermione, get to the point."

"Severus, I'm pregnant."

Nineteen Years After

Hermione and Severus held hands as they followed behind their son crossing the barrier at platform 9 3/4. Eric was so proud to be heading off to his first year of school and just behind him his little sister, Evelyn, who was complaining about not getting to go, even though she'd be living in the castle and would see her brother every weekend, probably more often.

They stood, waiting by the train for Harry and Luna, and Ginny and her husband, a former Ravenclaw named Luke. Rose and Dahlia were around, probably seeing off Victoire.

"Can you believe it Severus? 19 years ago, I was your student, and you were my professor and we couldn't stand each other. Now we're sending our third child off to Hogwarts," Hermione mused as she leaned against his shoulder.

"Yes, and our daughters are older than you were when we were married and they are no closer to settling down."

Hermione giggled a little. And waved as she saw her friends heading over. She didn't get a chance to say much though as they saw Rose fuming their way, her twin following close behind.

"That good for nothing, selfish, stuck up werewolf," they heard her mumbling.

"Dahlia, care to translate for your sister," Severus asked, knowing who she was talking about.

"Oh, well-"

They heard James Potter cheering over everyone, "You'll never guess what i just saw. Teddy and Victoire were snogging!"

Dahl is added on to explain why her twin was so distraught, "After he dumped Rose last week, and started snogging right there in front of us. Very rude."

Hermione had to hold back her husband, who was seething at the poor way his daughter had been treated. She felt awful about it too, but knew that Severus would take it a little far.

Fortunately for them, their son overheard, and was extremely over protective. Severus had taught him to be protective of the ones he loved.

"That meanie," the boy scowled just like his father, "I'll go hex him!"

That made Rose feel better and she scooped her little brother up in her arms.

"Thank you, but that's not necessary, see little prats like him always get what's coming to them."

Hermione gave a content smile as she watched her children banner playfully, and watched as Remus scolded his child after over hearing the conversation. She watched as Harry talked to his son and Luna played with her daughter's hair.

She loved her raven haired twins with their black eyes and long curls. She loved her son with his father's nose and brown eyes and brown hair. And her littlest daughter with brown hair and black eyes, the perfect combination of them, all four of them.

They were a perfect little family, and they were happy.
