4/26/16 - Kuro: After a review from a reader ("What", to which I find vague thus I don't really know what to address, but I'll just go with what I think :P) I realized that it doesn't make sense. How did the ball room party suddenly become Izaya and Pluto fighting? Well to simply put it. It's a new a day, and they went home. There was nothing much going on... All that happen was an awkward "bai bai" from our famous Ikebukuro monsters, fluffy brotherly moments... Oh wait I could've written that. I am very lazy and irresponsible XD Now back to the workload from school...

Phantomhive Estate

CRASH! BAM!

Pluto's tail swished and flicked, destroying everything it came into contact with as he snarled at the giant black panther in front of him, waiting for the other to make a move. The panther roared before charging, tackling the demon hound in front of him into the ground. The two demon beasts tumbled and rolled, crashing into a shed and completely obliterated it.

Earlier that day…

The demon brothers were relaxing under the shade of a towering tree near the mansion, now on their break. They had nothing else to do in mind and that spot under the tree –just right outside the window– looked tempting so…

They couldn't resist.

And there they were minutes later, enjoying their time of peace as the wind gently blew against their face; Izaya in his cat form and being groomed by his elder brother.

Unfortunately, the moment of peace was short-lived. Pluto had come by and seeing the cat on Sebastian's lap, being groomed lovingly, had become jealous and threw the cat off the elder butler. Izaya scrambled to get up in his midst of surprise (and pain), and saw in his place was an annoying demon hound that whined to his irritated brother trying to keep his calm demeanor. He didn't have the patience of his brother, thus Izaya ran towards Pluto and bit the hound's arm angrily. Pluto yowled in pain before shaking Izaya off and switching to his dog form; glaring down at the tiny cat who he could just so easily squish with his pa-

In response to Pluto, Izaya had grew in form and now looked like panther rivaling the demon hound in size.

And from then on, the two beasts continued to bite and scratch each other until the present time, not stopping even if Sebastian tried to intervene, for there was a score they had to settle amongst each other and not even Sebastian could stop them.

Sighing, Sebastian merely went back into the mansion when he was called. He knew he would hurt his dear brother's pride if he did anything to help in his showdown.

Present

Pluto managed to throw off Izaya –who quickly regained his balance not too far from the hound. The beasts glared at each other, panting for breath, before they simultaneously buckled and fell to the ground, exhausted.

Just when you thought they were done fighting and calling it a truce or something of the like, they shrunk their selves to the size of a slightly bigger than average wolf and big cat and continued fighting from there; this time with more chasing and running away involved. Thus, of course, they managed to find their selves away from the mansion without noticing, and wreaking havoc as they went, causing people to report them to the animal shelter and calling them in. Eventually, the animal catchers did arrive at the town square, but the beasts still didn't take note of their surroundings until they were pulled away from each other by the ropes around their neck.

They struggled to get the ropes choking them off, but it was quite hard with the men pulling them harshly from time to time and making them lose their balance. Fortunately though, Izaya had managed to cut the rope and get away.

Even though Pluto was annoying to him, and he could just let the catchers take the hound away…

It just didn't seem right for him to do that, oddly enough. Besides, they didn't finish their fight yet.

So, the panther charged at the four men holding down the hound, trying to muffle him. He knocked them out and scared them away before biting the ropes off of Pluto; roaring at the dog to run away. Pluto scrambled up and began running; the panther behind him was going to do the same, until he was hit by a tranquilizer from behind.

With Pluto

Pluto had been shocked. He thought his rival would just leave him there to whatever unfortunate fate there was, but he didn't.

He saved him.

He saved him.

And he didn't know what to do but comply with the other beast's order, not even managing to bark a 'thanks' in his panic. He panicked even more when he didn't hear the steps of the panther behind him, and when he looked back to see his new friend (as he now sees in a new light) being hauled into the carriage, box, thing, whatever it was called he didn't know nor cared, his fear vanished and he charged. But, he was too late. The thing had already taken off at a faster than he had expected, and he didn't have the energy to go back into his bigger form. He couldn't reach…

Oh no… what was going to happen to his friend? What will Sebastian do to him when he finds out? He shouldn't go home for a while… at least until he finds Izaya. He must rest up somewhere away from the man spawn and follow the scent trail later… Then he would have the strength to fight off any pursuers without trouble, and carry his friend if need be. He thought back to the last time something happened to the panther, when he bit the cat's arm and it bled seemingly endlessly…

Yep, he should definitely avoid Sebastian as long as possible… or he wouldn't survive this time around.

With Izaya

The panther remained unconscious as his bumpy trip to the shelter or zoo continued on. Soon, he had awoken but opted to remain unconscious and wait for the moment to escape. It was about twenty minutes later when the car decided to stop –the animal catchers wanted to take a lunch break, he heard, ignoring the restless atmosphere they created by leaving their car unattended, with the panther 'sleeping' behind thin looking bars where the people could see the animal and fear it would wake up and break out.

"U-Uh… sirs, I really believe you should take that beast back to the shelter before stop-"

"Hahaha! Don't worry old guy, it's asleep with the strongest sedater –it won't wake up so easily! Now how much was the wine again…?" One of the burly animal catchers guffawed, cutting off the poor frightened shopkeeper.

"W-Whatever you may say sir…"

Meanwhile; close by…

Thompson, who had just been looking between two cabbages and deciding which one was better, suddenly jolted and froze; surprising his brothers.

"What's…" Timber trailed as his brother left him and his other brother in the dust.

"Wait…!" Canterbury muttered out before he and Timber chased after Thompson. "Groceries…"

Soon, they caught up to their brother, whom was standing in between a small gap of a large group of people, crowding around a certain car containing a certain beast.

"…?" Canterbury and Timber stared at their brother in confusion.

"The cat… It's bigger, but the same one…" Thompson answered the unvoiced question of his brothers, glaring at the car, recognizing the symbol of the shelter on its side.

"…!" Canterbury and Timber were alarmed; what should they do…

The brothers huddled close together and began whispering back and forth.

"We can't do anything now; Claude would have our head for causing a commotion."

"You're right Timber, we should attack the car when it's on its way again."

"But what about the groceries…" Canterbury mumbled.

"Worry not, brother," Thompson replied "we'll finish it in a flash just as fast as we rescue 'Kitty'."

"Alright." His two brothers responded.

Later…

BOOM!

"W-What the hell is that?!"

"GO! GO! STEP ON IT!"

"I AM!"

BOOM!

"Hey, be careful! The cat is in there to- AAAAAAAAGH!" one of the catchers screamed in pain. Izaya had found the moment to claw through the peephole in front of him, roaring in pain when one of the catchers took out a knife and slashed his paw.

SCREECH!

The driver swerved the car in a panic and it crashed into the tree in front of them. Izaya was knocked back from the front seat and slammed into the back and passed out. All 6 men ran out of the car, with bruises and 3 with claw marks on their faces.

"What the hell is going on here?!" One of the men yelled trying to stop the bleeding on the left side of his face.

"Come on John we can't stay here! Screw the cat, screw the money, screw everything we're gonna die if we stay!" another man shouted and motioned as the other men scrambled their way out of the forest.

"But we can't assure that a chance like th- urk!" John was cut offed, with a rope wrapped tightly around his neck.

The man struggled a bit before soon, he arm fell to his side and his body slumped. The deceased man's partner shook in fright as he looked around him. He didn't know what was going to kill him. And he didn't know who killed his boss. There was no one but him, and the cat, and his boss. Even when the car was being attacked, he couldn't see a figure or even a shadow of anything. What is going on? What kind of monste-

"Urk!" The man fell to the ground, killed the same way as his boss.

"…Well that was easy." Timber muttered as he straitened his suit.

"Of course, it's just a bunch of stupid mortals, as usual." Thompson commented as he pulled off the cage at the back of the crashed car, revealing a small cat, passed out and injured.

Thompson threw the cage door to the side and ripped a piece of cloth from his shirt to wrap around the cat's bleeding paw. He then gently picked up the feline and held it close.

"…You know. We still haven't made up an excuse yet." Canterbury said as he stared at the cat in his brother's arm. "Or did the groceries."

"…Oh, right." His brothers responded in unison.

"I'll take the cat back first to bandage him. Timber, you fix up the area, and Canterbury, you finish the groceries since you're so worried about." Thompson ordered before walking away.

"…Fine…" His brothers murmured as they did as told.
