KPOV:
I pack only my essentials. It's remarkable how two centuries of my life can be packed into a satchel and pack. Gandalf wants to leave by dawn so I should head to the stables and saddle Fae-Hun. But, I have to say good-bye to a few people first.
I walk down the corridor to Arwen's room. I knock on her door and she opens it within seconds. She takes one look at me and can tell what is happening.
"You are leaving, aren't you?"
"Yes. I have to"
"Are you sure there is no other way?"
"Mithrandir say this is the best option. I'm going to trust him on this one"
"Oh, do write to me. I will wait for you letters everyday."
"I will write as often as I can. Thank you Arwen, for everything"
"My dear friend I could not have asked for a better one"
She hugs me tightly and I return the embrace. I step back and smile.
"Don't worry. We'll see each other again. I'm sure of it"
"Take care, Aa' menealle nauva calen ar' malta (May your ways be green and golden)"
Elladan and Elrohir are next. I know they would never let me hear the end of it if I left without saying farewell. I have no clue where they are though. I walk for a good hour or two but I don't see them. I spot Lord Elrond and he spots me. I go over to say my farewells.
"Lord Elrond, I know I may have acted a bit childish before but I still wanted you to know that I am so very grateful for all that you've done for me. There is nothing I could say or do that would amount to the kindness you've bestowed upon me"
"Dear Kaydreilla, you are always welcome here. I am sorry that you must leave. I know you will do great things with Saruman. You are quite extraordinary Kaydriella, never doubt yourself. I have seen you grow so much since you first came to us. I am so proud of you."
"Thank you Lord Elrond. I'll treasure your words forever"
We bow and begin to part ways.
"Lord Elrond?"
"Yes?"
"I cannot seem to find the twins. I wanted to say good-bye"
"Yes. They were sent on patrol for the next few days. I'm sorry, I had no idea this would happen or else I would have held them back another week."
"Its fine. I would not want them to wait on my account. Just give them my love when they do return."
"I will."
"Thank you"
I walk down the great hall and to the stables. I don't see Gandalf yet so I must be early. Never thought I'd live to see the day where I beat Gandalf to the stables. I Give Fae-Hun a good pat down before I grab his saddle. When I go to grab the saddle, I notice it's missing. I turn around and see Legolas strapping it on Fae-Hun.
"Well, I'm impressed. Fae-Hun normally hates others saddling him"
I try to hide my surprise with confidence be Legolas can see right through me
"You really must go?"
"Yeah"
"Promise me something? Please?"
"Alright"
"Stay alive so that I may see you again someday"
"That sounds like a reasonable request. What do you think Fae-Hun?"
Fae-Hun neighs which seals the deal.
"Now you must make me a promise since I made you one"
"Alright, what is it that you would request of me"
"I can't think of one right now so I'll save mine for later."
"As long as you promise there will be a later"
"See now that's two promises. Now I get two for later"
"It's a deal"
"Then let us shake on it"
I put out my hand for him to shake and he does. he then proceedes to pull me inot an unexpected embrace. I cannot help but hug him back. I break the embrace and grab Fae-hun's reins and begin to walk down the path that leads out of Rivendell.
I see Gandalf waiting by the entrance and he smirks at me.
"Must you always keep me waiting Kaydriella? I'm turning grey all over"
"Nonsense, You've been grey your whole life, haven't you?"
"Wouldn't you like to know"
Gandalf and I ride out of Rivendell together. Just as the sun begins to rise I look back and see my beautiful home.
"Don't worry, you'll come back."
"Yeah. I will"
