5 Months Later: KPOV
"Get up and try again!"
Uhhhhh…. It hurts so much I can't get up. My body will not let me. The pain, it hurts so much.
"I said get up Kaydriella, Now"
"I cannot, I cannot" I was crying the pain hurt so much.
"How do you ever expect to get better if you can't even perform the simplest of defenses? This is weak and pathetic. Now get up and do the spell correctly"
I get up and take but it hurts like crazy. I take my stance even though I know it won't do any good. I put the air barrier back up and focus as Saruman hits it with his spells. Every strike on it feels like a giant foot kicking at my body. I am trying really hard to push against his spells but his are far more powerful than mine. He hits me square on with a powerful blast that blows me off my feet and drags my body against the ground. My head aches and by body burns. Saruman walks over to me, and brings down with him a tall shadow.
"You are now wasting my time. Go now. You are dismissed"
He walks away leaving me to moan and ache on the ground. I don't know how long I laid there. It felt like forever until I finally could pull myself up. I had to get my legs to move so that I could get back to my room. At least there I could cry in my own privacy. I needed to put some athelas on my burns or else they get worse. I didn't one time and the burn turned into some monstrous ache that I thought would never go away. It has been rough here. I doubt Gandalf would have ever expected this for me. I still believe I have made much progress from when I started. I can use all four elements but alas only in defensive combat. Saruman won't teach me anything else. He says that I may only learn offensive when I have mastered defensive. I feel as if I have mastered it, he just hasn't given me the time to practice on my own. I may only practice with him and if he catches me practicing without him, I get severely punished. I think I am learning more about dealing with pain than actually using magic. I am almost to my room but I hear some mumbling coming from what seems to be nowhere. There is no one else here but Saruman and myself. Maybe I've finally lost it. Maybe I've hit my head on the ground one too many times. I need to sleep. I'm so exhausted. I finally make it to my room and it seems I ran out of athelas. Just my luck. Maybe I could go to Saruman's library and there may be a spell that could help me heal myself. But that means walking all the way to the library. If my memory serves me well, the library is a bit tricky to find. I hope I do not get lost.
I walk down towards the library and I stop by his study. He is inside but I don't want him to know that I wanted to find a healing spell. Plus we are not exactly the same when it comes to how we use our powers. Mine are a little more than just chanting words. Yeah, I'm not going to bother him. There has to be something in his library; he knows a great deal about my people so there must be a source somewhere. Let me see, the library is just left of the corridor; second door to the right. Wait was it the right door? Or maybe it was the third door. Looks like I am going to try a few out. AH HA! Finally, it is the third door to the right. Now I just have to quietly shut the door and,
SQUEAK…SQUEAK
Of course it squeaks. I'm in. Now I just have to find out where the healing books are. The library somehow looks bigger than the last time I was in here. I do not recall there being this seating area. There is a book on top the desk, and it is already open to a page. Better not touch it, I mustn't leave a trace.
GPOV:
After practicing with Kaydriella, Saruman goes to retiree in his study. He, not bearing a single scratch on him, begins o contemplate a very cenacle plan. She is definitely stronger than I had expected. Her powers could be far greater than my own, but as long as she does not have full confidence in them, they will never be able to supersede mine. I cannot allow her to become stronger than me or else she could pose as a threat. I shall continue to train her but never in anything else but defensive magic. She should not learn offensive until I am certain of her need for my advice and guidance. I must make her so that she is dependent upon me and my power. If she rejects me she could veryh much overpower me in which all my plans will have gone to waste. I should report my findings to the to Sauron. He should know of her presence and my masterful plan. If everything goes it should than no one can stand in our way. It would not even matter if the remaining free peoples' off middle earth combined their forces. No one could stop us. Saruman walked to the main room and sand before the Palantír. He place his hand over it and begin to summon Sauron. "Oh dark one hear my call. I have interesting news I would wish to share with thee." I feel his presence, he has answered my summons. "Sauron, I have a new apprentice and you will be very pleased with her power. She is also a descendent of an ancient and extinct race. She is the last mage. Her power is growing fast and I am doing my best to contain her here at Isengard. However she does grow stronger each day and I fear how long I may be able to keep her in this dependent state. If I can convince her to join us, then we would become unstoppable. Just think, the most powerful wizard, the last mage, and you, the most feared in all of middle earth; together we shall conquer this land with" "What if she will not part take in our glory, our side? What then would you do? She could not possibly be allowed to stand against us. Her being as powerful as you say she is, than her against us would cause and absolute problem" "Yes, I understand. But I am very confident in my abilities of persuasion. If all else fails, I will make sure the threat is terminated" "Well, I hope for your sake you do not fail in this task. I cannot allow any chances for anything to go wrong. Do you understand me?" "Yes my lord Sauron. I am only teaching her defensive spells that use air and water. I do not plan on teaching her offensive. That will be my insurance of remaining above her, so she may never overpower me" "Keep your eye out. If I recall correctly, they can endure the most terrible of pains and still find a way to conquer" "I am aware of that Lord Sauron. She shows great resilience to my powers. Even when I am hitting her with immense force she still finds a way to withstand the blows" "Do not fail me Saruman. I will be watching" "I shall not" The conversation had ended. Saruman took a seat back in his chair when he heard a creak come from the corridor. He looks closely over in that particular direction and his face grows a curious look. He get up from his chair and walks towards the corridor. Once he reaches the hallway he stops in front of the third door to the right, the library. I wonder Saruman opens the door and cannot believe what he is seeing. KPOV: So there are about emmmmm maybe lots of books in here, and I am looking for one. If only they were sorted by some sort. Maybe I'll get lucky and pick it up on the first try. I walk over to the far bookshelf to the right of the door but all the books turned out to be just information books on horses and animals. There was an interesting one about dragons but I need one on healing. I move to the next book shelf and what luck! A healing book for mages! I just need to find one that heals small burns and cuts. Okay amputations, broken bones, sickness, ahah! Minor burns. Page 42. Step 1: place your hand above the burn. Check Step 2: Have an empty bowl near Step 3: Extract fire from burn using hand Step 4: Bring fire to open bowl Step 5: Have a bowl of water ready to be poured onto burn Step 6: Pour water on burn Step 7: Mold water into cast and wrap firmly with a clean bandage/cloth Seems easy enough okay all I need is two bowls one with water and a clean wrap. That stuff should be easy to find. I have clean bandages in my room and bowls I can get from the kitchen along with water. I close the book and place it back on the shelf and I memorize its placement and appearance. I turn around to leave and there is Saruman, in the door way, staring daggers at me.Authors Notes: So thanks for hanging around. It's been a while but Volleyball started.
