KPOV:

Am I dreaming? Am I dead? Am I with the Valar? It is so warm here. And light and cozy. Maybe dying in a dungeon warrants this peace.

I open my eyes only to find myself in a familiar setting. I'm back in Rivendell, in a warm bed, with a warm feeling. I open my eyes a little more and see two, even more familiar faces.

"Elladan! Elrohir!" I jump with excitement and move to hug them immediately. However my body has just informed me that I cannot move too much right now. They both get up from their seats acrosee my bed in a nervous shock. Elladan speaks first

"Easy there Kay. Do not move too much. Your wounds are still very fresh. Try not to move around so much."

I still try to lay upward so that I'm not lying on my back.

They both walk towards me with smiles on their faces. Elrohir is next to speak.

"We were so worried that you wouldn't make it. Normally your body heals quite fast, but this time it took longer. Ada was scared at first; he thought you may have been too far gone. But he somehow managed to piece you all back together"

Now I am fully up. No more lying down for me. I embrace my two dearest friends as if I may have never seen them again. I also used them to help pull myself up. Sadly the pain was still present.

"Kay, what happened?"

It came from Elladan but I knew they both wanted to know the answer.

"My two dear friends, I cannot begin to tell you of what has past. So much has happened to me, and as you can see, it all has not been butterflies and rainbows. Saurman has betrayed us; betrayed me. He did things to me that I don't fully understand"

And then, right then, it hit. That emptiness I was feeling in the dungeon. After all the pain, the complete utter emptiness inside was coming back. The disconnection of myself from my soul, the connection Saruman stole from me. My eyes began to fill with tears and my heart began to ache more than my body. I tried to make it go away. I jumped out of the bed, no matter the pain, and began to walk around the room. Go away! I thought but it wouldn't head my instruction.

"Kay?!" there was worry in Elladan's voice.

"Kay?!" almost even more in Elrohir's.

They both were getting nervous but I couldn't even find the words to explain. I think that frightened them even more. I opened the door and began to walk down the hall with tears soon t fall from my face.

"Kay, Tampa! (Stop!) You're going to open a stitch"

I didn't look back at them. They were following me down the hall, however, they were carful not to grab or touch me in fear of what might happen. I was looking at the ground; the cold hard stone, yet ever so calm and peaceful, I then hit with a brute force and fell backwards.

I look up to see who I have hit into and it is the Lord himself.

"My lord Elrond, please forgive me. I was not looking up and did not notice-"

"Kaydriella, you're supposed to be resting. And you two are supposed to be watching her"

He sounded angrier with them than me.

" We were Ada but she wanted some uh-"

"Fresh air" Elrohir saved Elladan.

"Is this true Kayfriella?" Lord Elrond now turned to me

"Yes my lord. I left the room to get some air and they diligently followed behind"

'"Diligent. Is that really the precise word you would use to describe what they just did?"

"My lord" I bowed my head down because I did not like lying to his face, even for Elladan and Elrohir's sake.

"I would have used a more agile word like, panic, clumsy, or even not keeping you in your bed when your wounds may open"

Elrond was looking at all of us now. We all had our heads down. We couldn't help but chuckle a little. We all felt like little children when Lord Elrond would yell at us for childish behavior.

"So, you think my words are funny?" oh dear. Lord Elrond raised his eye brow. Some labor enforced punishment was bound to come next. He was smirking too, which meant he had a particularly dirty job for us.

"Elladan and Elrohir, you two shall wash out the old stables and repair them for new arrivals. Make them look like the new stables. Kaydriella-" now it was my turn.

"Please return to your chamber. You need to move less to let your wounds will heal faster"

All three of our jaws hit the floor. Mine mainly because their punishment was so unseen. And then on the account of me not getting any punishment.

"You all are not statues. Kela (Go now)."

Lord Elrond walked me back to my room. They made me forget about that feeling earlier, that emptiness. It was not going to be easy explaining what happened in Isengaurd, especially to one whom was acquainted with Saruman for centuries if not more. We reached the door to the room and he lead me back inside and back into my bed. He check to make sure none of the wounds had opened up.

"I am not going to interrogate you Kaydriella. You can tell me on your own time, if you even want to. All I do know is this: that Saruman has betrayed us, and you included. Given the injuries you have sustained, you could have easily died Kaydriella. But you did not, and that is the important part; do not forget that.

He came and sat beside me on the bed.

"There is one thing I would like to know, if you do not mind me asking."

"No, Lord Elrond, I do not mind"

"Before you left, was there any particular time when you felt as if there was nothing but pain surrounding you? Noting but hurt and pain?"

"Yes! Lord Elrond yes! I thought it would never end. At first I remember screaming like I've never screamed before. I thought it odd since do not normally scream when I am hurt. Then after my voice gave out I would cry to make it stop; beg with the air I had left to make it stop"

I did not notice my face filling with tears.

"Shhhhhh it is alright" Lord Elrond took me into an embrace

"You are safe now. You will live. And most importantly, you will live to fight another day Arwenamin (My Lady)."

With that Lord Elrond smiled and left.

Elronds POV:

She felt it. She felt it but doesn't know what it is. Mithrandir was right about it all.

"Lindir, go fetch Mithrandir and tell him I seek his council immediately"

We must plan our next steps carefully if we're to keep Kaydriella safe.
