Kaydriella's POV:

"Strangers from distant land, friends of old, you've been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Middle Earth stands upon the brink of destruction. No one can escape it. You will unite of you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate, to this one doom. Bring forth the ring, Frodo"

And the little hobbit stepped forward and placed the ring on the pillar. AS he did so I could see in his face the amount of weight lifted off of his shoulders. That ring really does come with a heavy burden to bear. As soon as he put it onto the pillar, everyone began to mumble in awe of this ring. WE all were entirely shocked to see the one ring found and in our possession. Suddenly a man stood up and took a step towards the ring.

"So it is true. In a dream I saw the eastern sky grow dark, but in the west a pale light lingered, voices crying, dooms near at hand."

He kept speaking and getting closer and closer towards the ring

"SO Isuildur's band is found. Isuildur's bane"

He went to go touch the ring. Lord Elrond said his name as a warning.

"Boromir!"

Gandalf immediately stood up and began chanting in an evil foul language. The sky turned grey and dark, the wind picked up speed. My head began to hurt and I soon felt this immense pain come over my cheast. I noticed that the other elves also felt this weird ominous weight. Gandalf ceased his voice and the man finally seemed to be knocked out of whatever trance he was in. Lord Elrond spoke again.

"Never before has any voice uttered the words of that tongue here in Imladris."

Lord Elrond didn't seem too pleased with Gandalf's method of gaining the man's attention but Gandalf felt differently

"I do not ask your pardon Master Elrond for the black speech of Mordor may yet be heard in every corner of the west. The ring altogether is evil"

Gandalf sits down but the man stands begins to speak again. He is making a fool of himself.

" It is a gift, a gift to the foes of Mordor. Why not use this ring? Long has my father, the Steward of Gondor, kept the forces of Mordor at bay. By the blood of our people, are your lands kept safe. Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy. Let us use it against him.

Aragron spoke but did not stand. I think he was also annoyed at the man's nonsense. I felt bad for Aragon because the man, who claimed to be the steward's son of Gondor, should be bowing down and showing his respect to Aragon. Aragorn is his king.

"You cannot wield it. None of us can. The one ring answers to Sauron alone, it has no other master"

The man responds with disrespect

"And what would a ranger know of this matter?"

That was uncalled for entirely. Legolas was the next person to speak and he was just as insulted as I. He stood up ready to speak in Aragron's defense.

"This is no mere ranger. He is Aragorn, son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance"

The man seemed to be shocked by this news but then angered as if Legolas told a false lie. He responded venomously to Aragorn not Legolas.

"Aragon? This is Isildur's heir?"

Legolas responded for Aragorn.

"And heir to the throne of Gondor"

Aragron told Legolas to sit down in elvish.

"Gondor has no king. Gondor needs no king"

It sounded as if the ma was trying to convince himself more than others. He finally sat down and hopefully would stay silent for longer this time. Lord Elrond spoek again, in a less harsh tone.

"You have only one choice, the ring must be destroyed"le

A dwarf spoke and in a very harsh and rough voice

"Then what are we waiting for?"

He got up from his seat and took his axe with him. He swung back and struck the ring right down the middle. I must say his aim was perfect but the ring remained the same. The gleaming gold band showed no sign of any impact and knocked the poor dwarf backwards onto his back. Lord Elrond spoke to explain why.

"The ring cannot be destroyed ,Gimili son of Gloin , by any craft that we here posses"

So his name was Gimili. The name sounds familiar but I do not recall from where.

"The ring was made in the fires of Mount Doom. Only there can it be unmade. It must be taken deep into Mordor and cast back into to fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this"

Alas the man's silence did not last for long. He was back again speaking.

"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. And the great eye is ever-watchful. It is a barren wasteland riddled with fire ash and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly!"

"Have you heard nothing Lord Elrond has said? The ring must be destroyed!"

Legolas took a bold move but the dwarf had something foul to say back.

"And I suppose you think you are the one to do it"
Boromir spoke on side with the dwarf, just to get back at Legolas

"And if we fail, what happened when Sauron takes back what is his?"
The dwarf spoke with complete conviction next

"I will be dead before I see the ring in the hands of an elf!"

Well the dwarf did it. The tiny string of patience everyone was sitting on was just cut. The entire council turned into an uproar. This was madness, everyone yelling at each other; Old flames of past events blinding judgments. I do believe the dwarf said to not trust and elf. This was becoming quite comical. All these grown people acting like children and the youngest one here is acting the most mature. The poor hobbit I could see his face and I could see the moment he made his decision.

"I will take it!" the young Frodo stood up. He mustered all of his courage and said it again

"I will take the ring to Mordor!"

Everyone grew silent and turned to face the hobbit. Gandalf's face dropped when he finally accepted what Frodo was doing. Young Frodo caught everyone's voice and their attention

"Though I do not know the way."

How noble. He does not even know the way and he is still willing to do this dangerous deed. Gandalf walked towards him and began to speak to him

"I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, for as long as it is yours to bear"

Aragorn was the next to speak. He walked towards the hobbit and kneeled before him

"If by my life or death I can protect you, I will. You have my sword"

"And you have my bow"

Legolas was joining the quest too? How curious.

"And my axe" the master dwarf stood next to Legolas even though they had an obvious dislike for one another. Next thing I found was my voice coming out of my mouth and my body moving without a thought.

"Young Frodo Baggins, this burden you bear is great indeed. If I can lessen the weight at any cost, I will not hesitate. You have my allegiance"

I bowed down to the hobbit and stood next to Gandalf. I was so consumed with the hobbit that I missed the displeased faces coming from multiple people. The man of Gondor was the last to move towards the group.

"You carry the fate of us all little one. If this is indeed the will of the council, then Gondor will see it done-"

"-Here! Mr. Frodo isn't going anywhere without me " Another hobbit peaking through the bushes came out to run to his friends side.

"It is hardly possible to separate you, even when he is summoned to a secret council and you are not" Lord Elrond found the humor as did I.

"Oy! Where coming too! You'll have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us"

Oh my two more hobbits appear. How many of them are there? These two, however, seemed to be much more jolly and playful than the other two. One of them spoke to prove his reason for going on the quest.

"Anyway, you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission, quest, thing."

"Well that rules you out Pip"

They seemed to be best friends. How cute. Lord Elrond could see there was no point in arguing about anyone's qualifications for this quest, at least at this moment.

"Ten companions. So be it, you shall be the Fellowship of the Ring"

The younger hobbit spoke

"Great! So where are we going?"

It will be an easier quest knowing those two will be with us. They seem so happy and at ease. I cannot wait to meet all of them.

Gandalf's POV:

"Should we let her do it?"

"I do not know Mithrandir. We are all aware of her strong headedness. Telling her no would only entice her to do it even more. I fear our opinions will have to be put aside on this matter"

"We cannot let her do this!"

"Aragorn, if we try and stop her, she will find a way. Long have I relinquished my authority over her. She is her own person now"

All three of us were deliberating on Kaydriella's presence in the Fellowship. I fear no matter what we would try, she would still go. Aragorn was the most against her going. He loved Kaydriella like a sister, helped her grow into the fierce warrior she is today. He is afraid, but then again so am I.

"Gandalf?"

"Yes, Lord Elrond?"

"Give us your opinion, honest and true"

Both of them looked at me in stark seriousness. My opinion would tip the scales. I must speak how I find and nothing less. I owe it them and myself.

"My honest opinion is that we should let her go-"

"- Gandalf!"

"Let me finish Aragorn. The only way she would back out of this is by her own recognition. She must do it on her own and be convinced by herself. I do not see any other way of her not going. I also fear that any influence we try to implant in her mind, she will retreat and shut us out again. We cannot afford that. She is strongly trained and will have us to help. The safest route to take would be to let her, otherwise we risk her putting herself into more danger, and what's worse is that we might not be there to help. The risk is great, but I feel that it is a bigger risk in trying to alter her decision."

"I will not accept that!"

"Aragorn!" Lord Elrond raised his voice at him.

"No. I will not see her die like this."

Aragorn stormed out of the study angry and afraid. I felt sorrow for him, he was not ready to let go of her and we had forced him into this corner.

"Master Elrond, forgive me. I should have foreseen this. Allowing her to attend the council was entirely my fault. I take full responsibility for this"

"I do not blame you, Mithrandir. We cannot control her actions or decisions. She has grown into a marvelous warrior. The blame is not to be put on one pair of shoulders but two. There is no blame unless we share it. Plus, I have the gift of foresight. I should have seen this long before you"

"Master Elrond" I bow my head in respect to the elf lord. He was truly a very noble elf. I left to go find Aragorn and make sure he did nothing too rash. I must get to him before he gets to Kaydriella. If he does anything close to what I think he might, she could withdrawal from us all.

Kaydriella's POV:

I do admit my decision to join was a bit unethical but it seems my body acted without need of my head. If that does not prove I should do this, then I do not know what is. I know Aragorn was utterly displeased with my choice, along with a few others who seemed upset at my choice. I Guess I will befriend the Hobbits first. They seemed to most kind hearted and un-effected by my presence. I think I spotted them heading towards the meadow.

I head down to the meadow and see tow out of the four of them. I walk over with a smile and sit next to them both.

"You two are quite the clowns you know"

"Why thank you. We take much pride in our foolish ways!"

"Oh yes! Much much pride"

They were so cheerful. It was so sweet the way they were in sync with each other.

"I am Kaydriella, but you can call me Kay. My I inquire after your names?"

"I'm Meriadoc Brandybuck but I prefer Merry"

"And I am Peregrin Took but people call me Pippin. Is it true that you will be going with us on this quest thing?"
"Yes, is that a problem for you?"
"Absolutely not!" Merry answered for Pippin.

"I would never turn a pretty lady like you away" Pippin winked at me.

"Did I mention of clownish you both are?"

"Actually, I do believe there is an initiation for our friendship. Do you not recall Merry?"

They were communicating with their snarky eyes

"Oh? Oh! yes, that initiation. I cannot believe I forgot about it Pip"

"They both grinned at each other

"Oh dear. Are you going to tell me what embarrassing deed I must do in order to win your favors?"

"It is nothing embarrassing. You just have to….. ummmmmm…. Catch us!"

And they took off running. Well I lucked out on their direction. Guess they didn't think to split up because they both ran together in the same direction. This will be a piece of cake. I take off after them.

Aragorn's POV:

I cannot believe she would do something this reckless. Has she no consideration for her own life? I will not let her go. She will find something else to do but not this. There is Legolas. Maybe he has seen KAydriella so I can knock this fantasy she ahs out of her childish mind.

"Legolas?"

"Aragorn, what is the matter? You look as if you could breathe fire."

"I must speak with Kaydriella. Have you seen her?"

"Yes, but you might want to cool down a bit before approaching her on this subject"

"How do you know what I wish to say to her?"
"It does not take a wizards mind to guess. Also, you are not the only one bothered by her choice. I too do not agree with the path she has chosen"

"Finally, someone with a sound mind I can speak to. She is out of her mind if she thinks I will let her go on this quest."

"What bothers you more Aragorn, that she will be put in danger or that you won't be able to stop her from going into danger? It seems the real issue is that you are afraid for her, but also yourself. If there came a time when you were faced with protecting Frodo or Kay, your honor would force you to choose Frodo even though your heart would Scream Kaydriella. I too, am having that same conflict"

"I do not see how this journey will end but I fear it will not be pretty at any turn. No matter how optimistic I try to see it, there is always that chance"

"My friend, there will always be that chance. No matter how hard we try, we cannot protect her from everything."
"So you are okay with her doing this?"
"No, of course not, but I do not have a say in the matter. I am in no position to tell her no"

"Well I am, so tell me where did you see her?"

"By the meadow. She was playing with the hobbits."

Kaydriella's POV:

It was not hard at all catching those two. They were determined to make it hard but sadly, their tiny legs could only run so fast. I told them I would meet them at the dining hall and grab a bite to eat. I am quite hungry considering I have not had a proper meal since, since Saruman.

"Ugh" I hit something hard. Maybe a pillar?

"I beg your pardon my lady" a hand is placed in front of me to help me up.

"Oh no the fault is mine. My mind was elsewhere" I look up and see that it was the man from Gondor. He was bulkier than I thought. He helped me back onto my feet and he smiled at me.

"You were at the council, were you not?"

"Yes I was."

"I recall because you were the only female present, and you stood up to stand by the young hobbit."

"I recall you as well sir. You are the son of the Steward of Gondor, correct?"

"In the flesh my lady." He lifted my hand and kissed the palm. This was becoming more and more uncomfortable. I quickly retreat my hand and pull it behind by back. I look down at the floor and then back at him.

"I am Kaydriella, but most just call me Kay"

"I am Boromir and it is a pleasure to meet you my lady"

"Well I am headed for the dining hall, I am bound by my sacred honor to sit by Merry and Pippin but would you like join us?"

"I would love to"

"Alright then, right this way Lord Boromir of Gondor"
