Chapter 8:
Amelia's POV
After I talked things out with Jacob he told me to get into the house. The howl that came from the woods had scared me a little bit. But I did as I was told and I was now walking through the woods and than onto the porch of the Cullen home to the front door. Edward was already waiting for me. Knowing exactly what was going on in my mind. I gave him a hopefull smile and walked up the stairs. Halfway Edward stopped me. "Please don't mention it to her…" He said calmly. His eyes focused on mine, demanding me to look at him too. I nodded and walked further on the stairs.
The I found my lovely sister on the couch. She started to look more worse by the minute. She was able, which I found rare at the moment, to hold her arms open asking me to hug her. I saw in her face that she felt bad for me. Whatever was going on now it seemed like everything was ruined. I was afraid. Afraid to loose everyone I cared for in my life. Especially my sister.
Taking a deep breath I walked over to her and there was just enough room for me to sit, so she could hold me in her arms without me crushing her. I placed on hand on her belly, looking at my hand and closed my eyes as a tear escaped my eyes. "I don't want to loose you, Bella."I said softly.
Before Bella could answer Rosalie showed up and if she had the chance she had pushed me away. "Bell.." She said, and I saw her looking up at a worried Edward. "It's time to take a bath…." I looked at Bella and saw her nod at Rosalie as she loosened the grip around my shoulders. I shifter over to the other side of the couch and watched her leave to her room.
After a moment of silence Edward finally said something as he sat in the chair that was next to the couch where I sat curled up on. "I can hear Jacobs thoughts. He is coming over now. I needed Bella out of the room so she wouldn't freak out." He sighed. And downstairs I heard a door open and close. The footsteps on the stairs told me that he was here. I looked to the opening and finally I saw him walking in. Unharmed. I sighed in relief and when he finally took me in his arms I buried my face in his tense chest. I felt his nose in my hair as he took in the smell of it. Like he had missed it so much. I missed him and nothing would ever take us apart.
After moments of silence Jacob started talking about what happened. Apparently the pack had passed by the border trying to get in. They were in time to stop them and tell them off, but it had came close to a fight. I had been looking at him, not really believing how far Sam was going to kill Bella and the child that grew inside of her. I shook my head. "The Sam we knew is gone, isn't he?" I asked Jacob as I looked from him to Edward. I saw them both nod at me and I sighed. "Will it be any help if I was going to talk to him?" They both said a quick and warning no. I knew they didn't want me to get out there and try to make amends. "We just need to wait and see what is going to happen." Edward said and after that he buried his face in his hands. I knew he hated waiting, just as much as I did at this point.
Not a week later the stress came in the house. I had stayed with Bella all the time while Jake was on patrols along the line. But then when he came over and Bella was telling him baby names she had made up, she had broke her spine and she collapsed.
It was time to deliver the baby and they had told me to stay downstairs. I was curled up onto the couch, trying to calm myself down. My sister was dying up there and I just had to sit here. I shook my head and saw Rosalie come back. She told me she couldn't handle it up there. Together we listened to what was going on up there and with her super hearing she told me everything that happened.
Finally Renesmee was born and Rosalie hurried up to give the boys some free hands. I waited for her to come back. When she was she was finally showing me the little girl that came with Bella's pregnancy. The girl was just beautiful. I looked up when I saw Jake pass by and he didn't seem to see me. I wanted to say something but he was already outside. I sighed and tickled Renesmee's belly. It was until Jake came back to me and smelled her blood and I said. "She feels warm. Like a human, not cold like Rosalie or Edward." I said looking up at him. She can't be a thread to the humans. If she was she would have done something to me already. Renesmee reached up her hand to my face and I saw how she had heared me calling to her when she was still inside Bella. How she felt the hand on the belly and how she had loved me being around her mother. "Jake… She is… Talking to me…" I said and he came closer. Renesmee looked at Jake and he smiled at her. She moved her hand to his face. He looked at me. "It's fine." I said and he let her tell what she had been feeling. We fell in love with my little niece. I smiled.
It was until the wolves showed up I knew I had to stay inside. The whole Cullen pack along with the three wolves was outside, making clear how the girl wasn't a thread to anyone. I was alone with Renesmee and I played with her fingers. From time to time she told me things with her hand against my face. It was until Edward came in to finally meet his daughter. I smiled and handed her to him. I walked over to Jake and he held me in his arms. "You okay?" I asked. He nodded and told me the coast was clear. Sam believed them and Renesmee was going to be safe. But we weren't sure if Bella was making it.
