Chapter 9:
Amelia's POV
I knew I should have gone home from time to time. But I told my dad, Charlie that I wanted to stay around the Cullen's when Bella was sick. I couldn't lie to his face anymore than I already do and seeing him every day would make things worse. Jacob on the other hand went to his house at night and checked on Billy, his father. I missed his warm arms around me than but it was okay. He needed to be with his family after the time he had to stay here.
Bella still didn't woke. I went looking at her side every day and I definitely saw the changes on her body. I looked up at Edward and saw the pain in my brother in law's eyes. I walk over to him and touch his arm. "She is going to open those eyes I promise." Just at that moment Edward looked up at Bella from the window he was looking out now. I knew what was going on as soon as I saw him looking. I turned around and I saw Bella's eyes open. A shock went through my body. I saw her eyes turn red and walked quickly out of the room and right into Jake's arms who had came back from his dad. He took me out to the livingroom and everyone was silent. Listening to what was happening up there. I was wondering what was going to happen now. I was the only human in this house and we did not know how she was going to respond to me. Only time could tell what was going to happen with me and Renesmee under Bella's eyes.
I sighed and looked up at Carlisle who had a concerned look on his face towards me. "They went hunting… When she gets back we should better send out Jacob to test is she can handle this. Maybe Amelia…" I felt Jacob tense up when Carslise spoke out my name. "She is not going outside as bait to see if little Renesmee isn't going to be hurt. I looked at Jacob. "It will be fine. Bella will not harm me right? She's my sister." Rosalie walked over to me and laid Renesmee in my arms and sat down next to me. "We don't know where she is keepable of right now. But I agree to Jake for this time. Amelia isn't going to be bait. She stays with me and Renesmee when Jake tests how she is." I rolled my eyes and fell into Jacob's side. Suddenly I yelled. "Jasper quit the mood controlling thing I'm fine!" I glared at him and the feeling stopped. He nodded to me and I sighed again.
A few minutes later everyone got up and was running to the middle of the livingroom. I stood up knowing that Bella and Edward were coming back home. I walked over to Rose with Jake by my side. He kissed me forehead and went towards the door and then it went silent again. Until the moment the door was opening. I was still holding Renesmee and Rose was by my side. One by one the family greeted her and went out of her way until she was facing me. I felt a warm arm around my waist and smiled feeling safe now. Jacob was there to protect me. I looked at Bella as her eyes widened. But she wasn't looking at me. She was looking at the little girl I was holding in my arms. I walked forward leaving Rose and Jake standing there and handed Renesmee over to my sister. She smiled and looked at me. Placing a hand on my cheek as if saying hello and being thankfull for me being there. I smiled and took a few steps back into Jacob's arms. He nuzzled his nose into my hair and smelled. I calmed down. My sister wasn't going to harm me and everyone knew it. Bella was strong in controlling the things she loved.
Rosalie stepped towards Bella. "Enough experimenting for one day." She said practically ripping Ness from Bella's arms. "She's fine." I said looking at Bella protecting her daughter. Bella handed Renesmee over to me and told me to take her out of the room. I walked up to the crib and laid her there, helped by Esme, who took my hand and let me follow outside. Where I saw Bella in front of Rosalie yelling at her, how sit was her baby and that because she want there, it wasn't Rosalie to claim. Leah and Seth showed up wanting to know what was going on. They defended Rosalie because she was important to Renesmee, but Seth was getting hurt. Bella apoligised and slowly there was an end to it. I sighed and looked at both Jacob's and Edwards amused faces. "Isn't she amazing?" Edward asked and Jake nodded with a big smile. They weren't going to stop this. I stepped out to the middle of the steps. "You guys stop this!" I said louder than ususal. "I know that right now only you have a claim on your daughter Bella, but I don't think it was Rose her intention of stealing her from you. It's just she has been around her all the time since she was born and she is trying to hold her safe, like she was keeping me safe too. You shouldn't be mad at her for having instinctive feelings. You have them too now." And that worked. Bella turned around and looked at me. I heard Jacob hold his breath but then she smiled at me. She knew I was right. We still had that power over each other. The ability to calm each other down. Her changing into a vampire didn't change any feeling she had for me. She walked up the stairs and pulled me into her arms. We didn't need words we just stood there hugging each other.
