Hey everyone! I've been updating a lot lately. Guess I'm overcompensating for all the months I missed. Anyway, here ya go!
"Well well well if it isn't Marceline. Come to claim your spot on the throne?',questioned Abadeer.
"No dad, I need to talk to you."
"Talk? Well make it quick, I'm busy causing pain and suffering."
"Marceline.", whispered the princess.
"What?"
"How is he going to be able to help us? If he likes suffering, why would he want to help us end it?"
"He's not going to help, he's just going to give us the information we need."
"Marceline, who is this pink woman?", questioned her father.
"She's my friend, and I use the term loosely."
"How could you be friends with something so...pink?"
"Well she sort of needs help."
"Why would you help her?"
"Can we please get on with it",said Bubblegum.
"Very well, what do you need?"
"Have you had any trouble with the citizens?"
"No, why do you ask?"
"A demon like figure attacked my kingdom.", replied Princess Bubblegum.
"So?"
"So, I would like to know if it's your doing."
"Nope."
"Well are you sure that..."
"Listen here pinky I have nothing to do with this, so would you kindly leave my domain?" Marceline managed to stop Bubblegum from flipping out, and she left the Nitosphere.
"Marceline, how can we be sure he wasn't lying?", asked the princess.
"Well, ever since an incident where he tried to force me to be the leader of the Nitosphere, he doesn't lie to me anymore."
"I guess we'll have to figure this out on our own."
"I'm gonna go check on Finn and see if he's okay."
"Tell me if he's still acting strange!"
"I will! No I won't",she thought to herself. She knew she shouldn't like a mortal, but the way Finn acted earlier actually allured her. She wouldn't mind if he wasn't like that, but she also wouldn't mind if he was. She arrived at the tree fort and let herself in."Hey Marcy",said Jake.
"Hey, where's Finn?"
"He's resting upstairs."
"Resting?"
"Yeah, he got into a big fight with this creature. It wrecked him up pretty bad."
"Is he okay?"
"Yeah, but he's still recovering."
"Oh, well I'm going up to see him." Jake replied with a nod, and Marceline went upstairs. She heard some thumping noises and looked in Finn's room. She saw him doing one handed pull ups. She knew he should be resting, but he seemed fine. She blushed when she saw his muscles, and how well built he was. He continued to work out, before stopping and saying,"Are you just gonna stand there, or are you gonna come in." Marceline blushed and walked in.
"Shouldn't you be resting?",she asked.
"Yeah but it gets boring so I decided to kill some time."
"Well what happened anyways?"
"There was this creature that attacked me."
"Well, sorta like a demon."
"A demon?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, The Candy Kingdom was attacked by a demon."
"The memory!", Finn said to himself.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Hm I thought you said something."
"Nope"
"Well I guess I'll see you later." Marceline left, leaving Finn to think about the memory.
"Could that memory have something to do with The Candy Kingdom being under attack. Hmmm, maybe..." Finns thoughts were interrupted by a voice in his head.
"Putting together the pieces yet?"
"Who said that?!"
"Oh, don't you remember me, I'm hurt."
"You!"
"Yes me, I wanted to preform another test on you. Get ready." Finn was overcome by a splitting headache and an intense pain all throughout his body.
"Aahhh!" Jake heard the scream of pain and rushed upstairs.
"Finn, are you okay?" Finn stood up and brushed himself off.
"Yeah, I just fell that's all."
"You shouldn't be outta bed man, you're still hurt."
"Yeah but I'm feeling better, so I think I'll go out."
"No dude, you gotta stay in."
"Dude, I'm fine.", he said as he put on a hoodie.
"Nah, man you're stayin here and that's final."
"Listen here you mutt, if I say I'm fine, it means I'm fine! Now get off my back you stupid dog." He slammed the door and walked off, leaving Jake baffled and confused.
