Wrong-boy-who-lived.
Part 5.
The Hogwarts students found themselves loving Muse academy, even Draco was liking it and even becoming more open minded through the experience. The children found themselves making friends with many of the different students at the academy. Students like Neville suddenly found it easier in lessons, especially potions, due to how easy it was to trust their teachers and how easy those teachers made it to learn. Draco learned that the non-magic world was actually far more advanced than purebloods thought and how they used electricity in place of magic, so he started acting more civil towards people. Connor got a shock when no one at the academy treated him like a celebrity like he was treated back at Hogwarts, after a while of complaining he started to realise that it was a sort of fresh air with no one treating him like they expected him to be the best.
Dumbledore tried time and time again to get the Muses to join his side of the war but always got the same reply.
"Our rules won't let us join in on the war unless we are directly attacked in some way, and even if we could join we wouldn't because that would mean endangering our children."
When Dumbledore tried to argue that Connor would need their support they responded with…
"He is a child! How can you expect a mere child to defeat this 'all powerful' dark lord? Defeat Voldemort yourselves, it can't be that hard to just shoot a spell or something at him when he isn't looking."
After that the Muses explained how hard it would actually be for Connor to defeat Voldemort to said boy, and offered solstice if the boy ever felt he needed it. At first Connor rejected he would need it but when on his own and with time to think on the matter he realised how right the Muses were.
Under the encouragement of some of his friends, Harry tried to establish some sort of relationship with his brother, they had a rocky start and were still uncomfortable around each other but they smile at each other without it feeling forced. Connor even swallowed his pride and apologised to Harry about how he had acted when they were both with their parents.
The Hogwarts students found themselves reluctant to leave the academy once their week was over, though they were all told they were welcome to join the academy any time.
The Potter twins continued to strengthen their relationship over time, though they kept their parents out of it. Connor no longer viewed himself as the great boy-who-lived and found himself longing for a life like his brother's over his life as a celebrity. Connor dropped Ron Weasley as a friends when he realised Ron was just being his friend for the fame and money. Connor kept contemplating the invitation to join Muse academy, like some of his other school mates after the transfer, but he was worried of disappointing his parents and the sort of backlash it would cause in the media.
When Connor told his brother that there was a prophecy concerning him and Voldemort but he didn't know the details of it, his brother told the Muses. During the summer holidays Connor snuck out of the house to meet up with his brother and Dora, they then went to the ministry and to the hall of prophecies to listen to the one concerning Connor and Voldemort. After listening to it Dora, who was an oracle in her life before becoming a Muse, declared it extremely weak and that no one should try to follow it. The prophecy could be talking about a different dark lord altogether, or it could have already been fulfilled the night Connor became the boy-who-lived.
"Whoever made up this prophecy better not be trying to pass themselves off as a real seer." Dora said.
"Actually, I heard that the Hogwarts divination professor is the one who made it." Connor said.
"Oh, yes. I forgot that they teach divination as a main subject at your school even though it's a useless subject unless you have the gift of Apollo."
The 'gift of Apollo' was the Muses' term for someone being a seer.
"Should I tell Dumbledore that it's a bad idea to follow the prophecy?" Connor asked.
"Ten to one that he won't listen and think that Dora's lying." Harry said.
"Remember, the invitation will always be there." Dora told Connor as she and Harry left.
When Connor's forth year came so did the Tri-wizard tournament. When it came time for the champions of the schools to be selected both the Potter's names came out of the goblet of fire. A lot of the school turned against Connor after that, despite his heavy protests that he didn't put his name in. The next day Harry arrived with a furious looking Maria after Connor sent them a letter explaining everything the night before.
Once Maria spotted Dumbledore she exploded into a long and angry speech about how irresponsible Dumbledore was by allowing the Potter twins to be entered even though they had no wish to be entered and how he was giving them no choice but to compete.
Maria inspected every loophole with the magic on the goblet of fire but found the only loophole was if the person who put their names in the goblet reversed the spell they used to put the names in, and since they couldn't find the culprit the Potter twins had to compete or lose their magic. Harry and Connor decided to work together as a team and both be the champions of Muse academy despite Dumbledore's protests, but there wasn't much he could do against an already angry legacy of the old gods.
Maria stayed at Hogwarts with Harry and Connor and personally trained the both of them with the skills she believed they would need, she pushed them hard but the both of them knew it was only because she was worried about them and wanted them to be prepared as possible. When Maria discovered that the first task was nesting dragons she gave them a crash-course in dragonese, taught them how to not present themselves as threats to dragons, and different mannerisms of dragons.
When the first task came around the champions were told that they would have to get a false egg from a female nesting dragon. Harry used his knowledge of dragonese to speak to the dragon and present himself as not a threat, he then gave a hand sized gold dragon statue in exchange for the false egg. Connor crafted a wooden flute and carved it with runes, as he played it the music caused the dragon to fall asleep and he quickly grabbed the egg and left before she woke up.
When Maria found out that the next task was retrieving a captive personal to the champion from the bottom of the lake at Hogwarts, she made the organisers of the tournament to change it too an item close to the champion. She then taught the twins how to fight underwater and gave them each a potion that would allow them to temporarily grow Mer tails and breath underwater until them hit the surface.
When it came to the second task the twins swallowed their potions before jumping into the water together, under the water their legs seemed to fuse together and get covered in a dark skin until it looked like their legs were replaced with the bottom half of a seal and the rest of their skin gained a blue tinge. The Mer tails allowed the Potter twins to move quickly through the water and manoeuvre themselves easily when fighting against the creatures of the lake that attacked them. The twins finally reached their items, two different photo albums in waterproof boxes, they took them and swam to the surface with the potions wearing off as soon as they hit the surface.
The final task was to navigate through a maze full of traps to get to the Tri-wizard cup in the centre. Maria train the twins with as many defensive spells as she could before the task started. Harry and Connor found each other not long after they entered the maze and defeated the obstacles in their way together, they eventually reached the cup and both took it at once and were immediately whisked away as it was a portkey.
When Maria saw this and that the twins didn't reappear outside of the maze she use her magic to lock on to where the twins were, she then teleported herself to their location. She arrived at a graveyard just in time to see the resurrection of Voldemort, with the Potter twins trapped in the arms of a statue. Voldemort spotted Maria.
"Who are you?" he asked in a superior tone.
"My name is Maria, and I believe you have two children that fall under my care. You snake-faced lunatic." Maria answered in the most disrespectful tone she could muster.
"How dare you?" Voldemort shouted, he then shot the killing curse at Maria.
But this was what Maria had been waiting for, with the casting of that spell Voldemort was attacking her, meaning she could attack him back. It was going to be the last mistake Voldemort would ever make. Maria easily dodged the spell and laughed.
"Big mistake." Maria commented with a smirk.
Maria then launched forward with inhuman speed and with her sword in her hand, she rammed it straight into Voldemort and pinned him to the ground with it. Maria saw the servant that had revived Voldemort trying to sneak away out of the corner of her eye, with a click of her fingers he was imprisoned in a cage of dream-dust.
"How do you think you could defeat me?" Voldemort said while still pinned by Maria's sword.
"Simple, because I'm a Muse." Maria said.
Voldemort just had time to widen his eyes before Maria launched a torrent of dream-dust straight into Voldemort's chest to ensure that he stayed dead, across the country the horcruxes that belonged to Voldemort were destroyed.
After Maria was done she released Harry and Connor and teleported all of them, including her prisoner, back to Hogwarts. As soon as they arrived the Hogwarts nurse was their and checking over the twins.
"What happened?" asked Dumbledore.
"Voldemort tried to make a return." Maria said simply.
"Tried?" asked a reporter from the large crowd that had gathered.
"I got him angry enough to attack me, meaning I could attack him and kill him." Maria answered. "Oh, and…"
Maria clicked her fingers and a dream-dust cage formed around someone who was trying to sneak off.
"That guy is under a disguise potion and is a Voldemort supporter, along with the guy in the other cage." Maria said. "Now, if you excuse us, we should be getting back to the academy, the twins' friends will be getting worried."
"But, Connor goes to school here, he must remain here." Dumbledore said.
"About that," Connor said. "I refuse to go to school here any longer, my life has almost constantly been under threat and people will turn on you in an instant, I'm going to Muse academy from now on."
People tried to deny it but Maria teleported the three of them away before anything could be done.
At first James and Lilly were unhappy with Connor leaving Hogwarts and rejecting Dumbledore's decisions, especially when they received hate mail for their son's decision, but they soon lifted the veil from over their eyes and saw that their sons were right. Eventually Connor started to go home after academy lessons had finished, and Harry would occasionally visit on weekends though he was still uncomfortable around his parents.
The visit of the Muses had opened the eyes of many people in the wizarding world and things were slowly but surely getting better. The Muses convinced Sirius to run for minister and he ended up wining, as such the purebloods could no longer bribe the minister to get things to go their way. Under Sirius' command laws concerning the reduce of rights of creatures like werewolves were made void, people suspected of being death eaters were rounded up and checked for the dark mark, and pleading imperious and using bribes would no longer get them out of it. The Muses set up more schools around the world which the children could go to, since Olympus was starting to look like a country where most of the population consisted of children. Children were reluctant to leave the original Muse academy but realised it was better to go to an academy in their own home country. The separate academies were not as grand as the one on Olympus but they gave the same quality of education and treatment of all the students.
A few years later when the existence of the magic world was finally discovered there were a few bumps but it was a smoother transition that if the Muses hadn't come along. The Muses were actually called in to be the ambassadors of the magic world as they were the wise ancient beings who watched over both worlds.
Sorry that this ending chapter is rushed, I had writer's block and this is the best I could come up with.
