Don't hate me for being gone for so long! It's just that.. well, life happened. I'm actually pregnant and my due date is only a few days away. I'm getting married and well.. Just life in general I think. But I do miss writing so I want to try and pick it up again.

I have to admit I'm kind of lost with this story, so I'm just going to start writing again, with short chapters, hoping to get back in the 'flow'. English still isn't my first language, so keep that in mind.

Santana smiled, looking at two small children running after each other. It took her a while, but she was finally strong enough to visit Central Park and she loved it. After her classes, she would take a walk through the park, eat her lunch and just watch the people around her. She was finally starting to really enjoy her new life in New York. A certain blond was never really far from her mind, but for the first time in months, Santana didn't think about Brett Pierce every hour of the day. She was still working in a coffee shop – serving Latte macchiato, mind you and going to her classes and actually managed to make some friends along the way. Santana continued to work at the bar from time to time, just to make some extra bucks and though most of her was relieved, the fact she never ran in to Brett saddened her.

It actually confused the Latina. She was so certain she didn't want to have to do anything with the guy, but when his daily texts, turned into weekly texts, she felt disappointed. Santana missed Brett. Well, the Brett she thought she knew. And then, when the weekly texts also stopped.. Well, Santana was more crushed than she thought she'd ever be.

With a sigh she stood up from the grass and checked her skirt for any stains. She looked around again, her eyes falling on the apartment building nearby the park. Santana remembered Bretts enthusiasm over his luxurious apartment, him planning cooking dinner for her in his kitchen. Her making breakfast for him on Sunday mornings… Santana swallowed heavily and quickly shook her head. She hated these moments, her remembering him, his sweets words, his plans for the two of them. She had fallen for all of him, for all his plans. Santana was supposed to be this independent woman, she didn't even want to cook some guy breakfast! (Other than Puck, but he deserved it, for everything he had done for her, of course)

Why did this still hurt so damn much? It had been months! Maybe Puck was right, maybe she really did need to move on, go on a date or something. Santana clenched her jaw at thinking of dating and let out a sigh. Who was she kidding? Even after months, she was still head over heels for Brett Pierce.

"Son? Are you listening to me? Brett!"

Brett rubbed his eyes, but didn't respond to his father's yelling on the other end of the phone. Was he dreaming?! He had just finished his final class of the day and was on his way home when his father called. Listening to his father's orders, he smiled at the people he walked by. It was a beautiful day and he was glad he took a little detour through the park. He lived so close by, but never really took the time to enjoy it.

His classes at Colombia were seriously kicking his ass. Brett wasn't dumb by any means, but he wasn't exactly booksmart. Good grades didn't come naturally for him, he had to work his ass of for them. But with his demanding father, he seriously struggled. Trying to please his father by working part time for him and going to school fulltime, was slowly killing him. Every free moment was spend in either his office following in his father's footsteps or being buried underneath his homework and books.

"Dad, wait.. I need to go for a sec, can I call you back?"

John Pierce frowned, "Did you even listen to a word I was saying?! I said I was called in to Columbia, what's going on? Why on earth would I need to go and listen to your teachers? Are you screwing up again?"

Brett groaned and looked around frantically, where did she go? I know that was her! "Dad, seriously, I need to go, I will call you later and don't worry, it's just about my grades, but I'll make it up. I guess. Somehow.. I've gotta go." He quickly hung up and searched through his contacts. When he read her name, his heart literally skipped a beat and after a deep breath, Brett pressed the call button..

So, like I said… It's gonna be short for a while. I need to get back in the flow of writing and not in my native language. I keep throwing Dutch words around and then going back to correct them.. But well.. It's something, right? I hope you enjoyed it and I really hope to be back soon!
