~**Another chapter! Joy! I hope you all are enjoying what is happening so far! Granted, this new chapter was long overdue, and may have a rather short start, but work and reality always tend to be the key issues for that. And new story chapters, too! So now just sit back and enjoy the ride. I know it's what I do!**~
**The Author was busy working and typing, as usual, when Alex Mercer finally walked over to sit down rather closely. The Author looks at him and nods.**
Hello, Alex! How can I assist?
"You gave me a ship."
I did.
"A giant. Living. Viral. Ship."
Yep.
"I love you," Alex finally said and reached over to hug the Author to get laughter and a hug given back in return. "Don't tell Agatha I said that. Or that I hugged you."
Lips are sealed!
"Good. I want this thing to evolve fast. You put me in the middle of a war, and I need to be prepared. It's all good to me, but you know how I need to have all of my bases covered before going out into a field of death and destruction. I actually like that! It's a nice challenge."
I figured you would. What do you think of the reviews?
"I like 'em! It shows we're on the right path. Let's keep going on it. And I am curious about something, though."
And what's that?
"How is the ship going to eat stuff?" he asked in a puzzled way.
I was thinking of the ship design gaining the appearance of a large whale. The sperm whales eat giant squid all the time. The Reapers resemble giant squid. What do you think?
"That is fucking hilarious!" he grinned. "How many ships do you plan to give me?"
How many do you want?
**Alex bit back his laugh and shook his head. At the sight of Agatha walking over, he was soon up and at her side to kiss her thoroughly. Then he casually flips off the room.**
"Alex, that won't help," she giggled.
"I don't care. It feels good," he shrugged. "But…I still can't believe that we have a living ship."
"Tell me about it! It's amazing!" she beamed.
"I want our home to grow massive, impressive and to expand for as long as it can. It would be nice to have scouting vessels, too. Like, smaller ones," Alex said.
The ship should be able to build smaller units of itself. Scouting vessels would be easily done. All the ship would need is vast amounts of resources.
"It was talked about Olympus going into an asteroid field. I think that would work best. Oh! Maybe we could send scouting vessels through that Omega Four relay…" Agatha thought aloud.
"We could work that in. But, how would Olympus get there and be able to come back if there is a gold mine there? It makes me wonder. Also, we would need to infiltrate that area where pirates love to roam. I'm sure we can steal from the thieves rather easily," Alex grinned.
I don't see why you wouldn't.
"Exactly! I'm sure they had it coming, anyways," Alex chuckled.
"What's next on the list of things to do?" Agatha asked.
So far, it's just letting your new army grow and evolve further. Not much else to say. I'm trying to keep things interesting by having your family assist with various missions. It's hilariously easy to do quite a few things with the drones already in place.
"We have a bit of an over-powered family with how the drones aren't detected. Of course, Agatha and I can see them. But the others? No chance!" Agatha grinned.
"That's what makes it more fun!" Alex grinned back in a wicked way.
"You'd think so! I am a bit…impressed with Garrus," she smiled.
"He has his uses," he snorted.
"He should come here."
"Not now."
"Why not?"
"Because this is my time with you," he said and kissed her. "I won't have another cock around just yet. I want you all to myself for now."
"Okay," she chuckled and let him lift her in his arms to carry her over to a chair. Sitting down in it, he settled her in his lap. "We should bring in Mr. Fluffster!"
"Fuck you, bitch!" he growled to get her laughing hysterically.
**The Author only laughs and continues to work and time. A lot was going in motion now, and there was still a lot of work to do with other stories. As well as future plans for chapters to put together.**
"Don't forget about me!" Aeon scowled from where he sat.
You have not been forgotten. I am still trying to figure out how to do an arc with you. It's just taking a bit more time. I may have to pull up a wiki on you when I can.
"Good. I don't want to feel worried about that," he chuckled.
"I don't think Sarine would abandon you so quickly," Agatha winked.
**They look over when Lyndon suddenly barged in to charge right up to the Author.**
Yes? Can I help you?
"When do I get my crossbow?!" he asked with excitement.
You know the rules. You have to be a guide through Kingsport.
"I know that! I just want to know when!" he insisted.
After the job is done.
"But I want it now!" he pouted.
"Be a man and grow a pair!" Alex scowled at him. Lyndon glared at him, but he flinched at Alex's cold, heartless glare back. Nothing would really make him back down. Not unless it was bigger than him and just as ruthless.
You just need to be patient, Lyndon. Guide them to where they have to go. Greed did say you would get your reward. Just remember that.
"Fine. I suppose I have no choice," Lyndon moped.
"I could get Cydaea to cheer you up?" Agatha smiled softly.
"No! I'm fine! I'll leave now!" he said quickly and stormed out to get them laughing.
"Fucking pussy," Alex muttered out to get Agatha laughing hysterically. "Anyways, I'm itching to get back into the fight. We should head out and let the Author type out our little story."
"Little?" she mused.
"Okay. We have a giant, fucking ship and I want to be on it now," he smirked at her and lifted her in his arms. "See you there, Author! And, hey. Aeon. Just sit tight."
"I get it," Aeon chuckled and continued to browse on the computers.
**The Author waved at them and settled back in to continue typing and updating various story arcs. There was much to do, and time was always flying by when busy at the keys.**
