*Author's Note*
Yo, Dravyn here. Sorry it's been so long since my last update, but things here are not easy. On top of my worst problems, my laptop simply refuses to work for me. I ordered a new one, but who knows when it'll get here? For now I'm borrowing a friend's tablet, and it seems to be working well enough. I'm just going to hope that it gets us a chapter or two of Love is a Knight-mare out. I've been wanting to get back to this story.
I'm going to start pushing things a little, for the lulz. No longer will I keep it entirely straight and pure. Well, I won't do anything inappropriate. Let's just say that Jaune's life is going to get a little more... interesting. Misunderstandings, coincidences, and a lot of (depending on your view, it could be good, or bad) luck await the poor hunter. And who knows where that little Chekhov's Gun of mine from the birthday Arc may lead... Heheheh.
Anyhow, enough of my boring ranting. Here's a new chapter of Love is a Knight-mare.
The morning was nice and quiet. It was early, and the sun's rosy fingertips had just begun to peek over the horizon. The peaceful atmosphere in the room revealed no trace of the previous night's happenings. The four members of Team RAYR were asleep in their beds. The teammates, and their friends of Team NNWB, had worn themselves out celebrating the birthday of one of their dear friends, and member of Team RAYR, Jaune. It was a simple gathering, but it was fun nonetheless. Everyone had their fill of the fun, including and especially the birthday boy.
Being surrounded by the friends he'd made since coming to Beacon, and celebrating yet another year of life, he'd never felt so great before. The night was filled with games, music, a little dancing, presents, and enough sugar to make Ruby and Nora go off the walls, and subsequently crash like lead weights. There is no substitute for these times, thought Jaune, just before he'd gone off to bed. Not even bothering to change out of his jeans, Jaune simply slid on a white t-shirt and fell into bed.
While everyone had the regular thoughts of teenagers purvey their dreams, Jaune's dreams were different than usual. It may have been the events earlier during the celebration, but his events that night had taken a dramatic turn, and not for the worst.
A breeze is coming through. Yes. A nice, cool breeze on this day.
The sun is out, and the grounds of Beacon are as bright as ever. Everything so neat. So clean. Students lounging about on the benches. Some getting some practice spars in with friends. Some enjoying peaceful picnics. Like us.
Before me are my friends. The seven of them- No, the eight of us. We are here to enjoy ourselves. This weather is perfect. No reason to waste it. And so we set up. A large blanket for all of us to sit on. A music player with multiple disks to play. And Little Red Riding Hood carrying her baskets of goodies. Several of them, filled with plenty of food. And being held by the most beautiful creature in this, or any world. Hair, a deep crimson. Eyes of the brightest silver. And skin so light and soft that moonlight itself could not compare.
With the others forgotten, the only one in the world was her. We were the only two here. We all spread out to enjoy the food, but my focus is lost on everyone else. She is the only one in my sights. She sits by the baskets, passing food around. She holds a cheerful smile on her face. But she turns to me, and her smile grows. It becomes warmer, wider. She looks at me, a rosy flush taking to her cheeks. She begins to crawl to me, the sheet beneath her becoming more ruffled with each movement.
Wait, sheet?
This is no longer the school grounds. The sunshine has been replaced by artificial lights. The grass has made way for some sort of carpet. The other students had vanished. None of my friends had remained but the two of us. And the blanket spread below us was no longer on a bed of grass, but rather just a bed. And she crawled to me. Each moment she grew closer, and the blush was no longer just on her face. I felt a heat creeping on my cheeks. The closer she became, the more the heat grew. And there she was, just inches away.
I felt my sense of reason leaving me. I did not know what to do, but she did. She lifted her hands to the clasps at her shoulders, and undid both. The cape she wore, her defining element, fell. Now, before me eyes, she began to remove the rest of what she had on. Her blouse, as deep and dark as midnight itself, removed to reveal a red brassiere and skin white as alabaster. Putting it to the side, she continues as she begins to remove her skirt, eventually being in nothing but crimson underwear. And crawling up to me, she leans in. She places her hand in my pocket, and reaches around for something. She comes out with a small wrapped up square.
And as she leans in, her face coming to mine, I can hear a new beat. Hers. Mine. Growing louder. And louder. Almost to the point of being deafening. And then...
"Uhhh."
The morning had come for Jaune. Still in bed, he tried to resist leaving, wanting instead to curl under his covers and hold onto his teddy bear in hopes of falling back asleep. He tossed and turned, trying again to make himself comfortable, but to no avail. In his mind, he replayed the events of his dream. With most dreams, he would forget instantly. But this one, the details were vivid in his mind. With the images still clear in his mind, he glanced over to his sleeping leader and girlfriend, Ruby.
It was a rare day indeed. The time should be around 7 in the morning, but Ruby was still asleep. Anyone who knew her knew that Ruby was almost always up at the crack of dawn, getting some early morning training before tackling the day. This was one of the rare times that Jaune got to see her as she slept, surrounded by her Beowolf plushies (which Jaune had begged Ruby dozens of times over to rethink, only to be met with her puppy dog eyes and cries of "But they're so cute!"), and covered by her red blankets bearing her scattered Rose symbol.
Her sleeping posture, being as poor as it was, left half of her body uncovered. As Jaune recounted the details of his dream, his eyes began to wander over Ruby's sleeping form. First to her legs, which in her pajamas Jaune could see where a lot more slender than one would normally note. Then to her arms, which despite their small size, could easily break any untrained or unprepared man. Then to her chest and bosom. Here, Jaune let his eyes linger. He could not help it, however. The thoughts of last night dominated his thoughts, and his eyes focused on the part that any normal male would. Because of her usually baggy blouse and cape hiding her figure, Jaune rarely got a good look at Ruby's body. But whenever he did, he was reminded that she was well off for her age. Her training has left her body in great shape, and despite her youth, she was not lacking in the breasts department, barely beating out a few others in size.
As Jaune looked over his sleeping girlfriend, and urge began to come over him. He felt like he wanted her. More than anything else, at that time, he wanted Ruby. Slipping out of his own bed, Jaune walked over and just looked down on Ruby. Leaning over her, he began to get closer. And closer. What he wanted to do, not even he knew. But anyone else who looked on the scene would see a delicate looking young girl being preyed on by a blonde young man.
Simply leaning over Ruby, his eyes locked on her face, Jaune began to subconsciously move his hands closer to Ruby. He didn't even realize what he was doing. Leaning back, he took a seat on the edge of her bed, his eyes never leaving her face. Bringing his arm up, he gently rested his hand on her cheek.
She's mine. I still can't believe that something so beautiful is mine. Mine, and nobody else's.
But Jaune knew she wouldn't always be his. He hoped that she would be, but being realistic, he felt that he couldn't be so lucky forever. Thinking back to what was in his back pocket, Jaune began to think dangerous thoughts.
I can make her mine. Nobody would be able to take her. She wouldn't want to leave me. She would be mine. Heart. And body.
But Jaune knew these were dangerous thoughts. Some part of him told him that these thoughts would lead him down a dark, irrevocable path. But another part of him wanted him to go through with it regardless, consequences be damned. As Jaune struggled with these thoughts, he felt a faint stirring below him. Looking down, he saw Ruby moving, her eyes beginning to blink open and closed. Once her eyes opened, and were focused, Ruby let out a small exclamation of surprise.
"Jaune? What is going on here?"
Hunched over Ruby, his face mere inches from hers, Jaune did not have a response. While he tried to figure out an excuse, her hand began to move to her pillow. And that is when he remembered that Ruby slept with Crescent Rose underneath her pillow.
Oh shit.
*Epilogue*
"Seriously Jaune, what were you thinking this morning?"
"I, I dunno..."
It was lunch time, and the team was discussing the events of that morning. Yang and Ren had woken up to find Ruby, Crescent Rose fully extended, on her bed, and Jaune lying in a mess on the other side of the room, a lump forming on his head.
"So Jaune-y boy, just couldn't wait, huh?" Yang was merciless with the teasing today. She wasn't aware that her little "card" to Jaune would have worked out so well.
"Uggh."
Meanwhile, Ruby was looking at Jaune with a look of wariness, a look that heavily contrasted the usual warmth in her gaze.
"Jaune, were you really planning to, y'know...?"
"No! No Ruby, I swear! I had no ill intentions." Meanwhile, Yang was giving a sly look that meant she knew he was lying. "Well, I think I didn't..."
Ruby seemed a little angry still, as she mumbled to herself.
"You didn't have to do that Jaune. Maybe, if you had just asked..."
*Afterword*
Yup, just another chapter where Jaune has grown bolder. If you don't like the chapter, then lemme know. I won't let Jaune try going that far again. I just thought that it would be fun to make Jaune a little more courageous to go along with him growing a year older. But meh, it might not be to your tastes. Like I said, let me know how you felt, and I may decided where to go from there.
Otherwise, yay, I finally got a new chapter out! I hope you guys enjoy this, because I did. Writing it was interesting, especially since I got to have fun putting Jaune into an awkward position, and leaving him with a mild concussion for no other reason than the lulz.
Well, to finish this off, I'm gonna leave you with this non-related note. I'm probably going to be ending one of my other series, and starting on a new idea I've had. This will most likely happen within the next week. Most likely sooner. Anyhow, Love is a Knight-mare will continue, and hopefully this other series is as well received. Good night.
