Hey guys, sorry for the long wait. I have had next to inspiration for this story, but I came up with something to write and have finally managed to type it out.
Hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 7
Potions Professor Severus Snape had been watching the brat all day. Now, this was not unusual, although the reason for the observation was. Said brat, one Harry Potter, had spent the entire day with three students, each from one of the visiting schools. Severus had been told by previous teachers that they had even been allowed to go to lessons with him, although it was questionable why the little girl was allowed in on such advanced lessons.
Now it was his last class of the day, and he had the fourth year Gryffindor's and Slytherin's, and he could already feel the headache the two houses were bound to cause in the double lesson.
When the Potter brat entered his classroom first, he could have quite possibly fainted out of shock, if not for the damage it would do to his reputation. As it was, all he did was blink a bit slower than usual as he watched Potter and his new entourage enter his classroom.
The beautiful girl he knew was from Beauxbatons Academy followed straight after Potter, face upturned slightly to take in the sight of his dungeon. He dismissed any feelings of hostility for following Potter when he saw her fascination in his potions.
The oldest of the new group of four followed next, bright blue eyes instantly finding the Potions Master's form and analysing it in a way Severus was sure only warriors could do.
The blonde boy was pulling behind him the youngest, and if she had not had express permission from both Dumbledore and her own headmistress to be able to attend all the lessons she wished, he would have booted her right back out. She was being pulled by the hand by the blond boy, and Severus sneered at the childish method.
"You don't have to hold me hand, Peter." He could hear the girl whine, and frowned very slightly at the name she uttered, sure that was not his name.
"We don't need you getting lost, Lu." The boy replied.
"Yeah, you do have a habit of wondering off." The older girl said, turning her head slightly to show she was speaking to them.
Deciding to intervene, and get his piece done before the rest of the students arrived, he strode up to them, making sure that each step made them wary (and hopefully intimidated).
He cleared his throat to make sure he had their attention, although he inwardly smirked at the action, knowing that he had their full attention already just by the looks in their eyes.
"Mr Potter, do you care to introduce me to your. . . friends?" He purred.
"Uh, yes sir." Potter said, biting his lip.
"Um, this is Allison." He said tilting his head to the beautiful girl.
"Allison Cero." The girl introduced herself, holding out her hand and smiling politely. She really was gorgeous, Severus recognised, and extended his own hand to shake hers.
"Alexander Gates." The blonde boy said without prompting, and stuck out his arm gracefully for his own handshake. When he shook it, Severus noted that the boy obviously didn't hold back, for the shake was firm and strong.
"Rayne Grey." The young girl whispered. She didn't hold out her hand, but Severus could not expect her to, not at the young age she obviously was. Ms Grey did, however, smile kindly and wave her hand. Severus nodded back, not one for smiling.
"Ms Grey, for the sake of safety, I have to ask if you have any experience in potions?" He asked, although the concern was warranted, for she looked barely a first year.
"I have taken Potions for two years now, Professor." The girl replied. "I have experience with a cauldron."
"Very well." He pursed his lips. "I will, however, prefer you to stick with those two." He nodded at the two oldest children.
"Yes, Sir."
Satisfied, he nodded and headed over to his desk, hearing them make their way to a group of seats, his mind on the different names of the blonde boy.
Rayne was walking through the hallways during the very beginning of dinner when she met them. She had managed to escape her overbearing brothers grasp and explore the castle a little under an hour ago, and was on her way too the Great Hall, knowing that if she did not show up Peter - or Alexander, she supposed she should call him - would throw a fit.
"Well lookie who we have here, Gred."
She blinked at the sudden appearance of a pair of redheaded twins.
"Indeed Forge, wonder what she's doin'?"
She blinked once more as she looked between the twins, noticing what she was sure was a permanent glint of mischief in their eyes and the trouble-making grins stretching their faces wide.
"This little 'un doesn't look like she belongs here, does she, brother dear?"
"No she does not, dear."
"What do you think we should do with her, brother?"
Both suddenly turned towards her face on, looming down on her so that there faces were uncomfortably close to her own.
"We're Fred and George." The one on the right said.
"Also know as Gred and Forge." The other one said.
In sync with each other, they both backed up a couple of steps and extended a hand each. She stared at them for a moment before crossing her own arms out in front of them to be able to grab both hands. She shook both hands simultaneously, perhaps a bit harder than necessary, for she was sure they were pranksters, and what prankster didn't like a bit of a challenge - as she was sure they would take this.
Harry was sure his brother was about to explode with irritation any moment now. Lucy - Rayne, hadn't turned up to dinner yet, and Harry had been able to find out that she had somehow escaped Alexander's protective clutches and gone to explore the castle, like the wanderer they all knew she was at heart. None of the three older siblings particularly like seeing their youngest sibling go off on her own, and never had, not even during their many years in Narnia, and so although he could understand his brothers frustration, Harry was starting to get a bit annoyed.
Apparently, so was Su-Allison.
"Alexander, I am sure she is perfectly alright. She has gone off on her own before, and we all know that she will come back, and that she will be back soon, not wanting to deal with your worry. She must have been delayed before she could get here on time, or lost track of time. She knows not to skip meals." Although the telling off was amusing, and anyone could sense the girls annoyance, Harry could hear the worry for their younger sister. After all, no matter how hard she or anyone else tried, Lucy would always get into trouble of some sort, and even in a different world with a different name, that would not have changed.
Harry lowered his head to his hands and sighed, before lifting his head to once more look at the grand set of double doors.
"Oh Great Merlin, she's with Fred and George!"
He couldn't stop the panic rising within him.
Hey, hope you enjoyed this chapter. I wanted to see how I could make Snape react to their presence, and came up with the top part, and wanted Rayne to meet Fred and George. I have plans for those three.
Review and tell me what you think please.
