This is the second ending. I might actually like this more, so I posted this one second. It's short but to the point. Enjoy!
He bit his lip. "I guess this is goodbye then. There really is no other way."
"Not for us. If you don't do this, it's the end for you as well—and I couldn't bear that. Goodbye, Draco."
Reaching to his belt, he closed his eyes and drew his wand. He fingered the grain of the wood. His finger curled around the handle on instinct. He raised the wand blindly. Ignoring her resigned sigh and the shaking of his hands, he pulled his wand back. He cast the spell.
Once.
Twice.
Nothing.
By the time Draco opened his eyes, she was gone. No halcyon spectres of his past. No apparitions of buried memories. Just his floating dreams and empty thoughts, strolling alone along an alameda under the stars.
