Note from Kit: Aye, I'm glad I got a review within an hour of putting that chapter in and during my Easter dinner, me and Lynnie were discussing this next chapter/story in general. We decided this is going to be her now-recovery (Of course: There will be surprises!) and a pairing. Naturally, I like Gray x Lucy, but Lynnie made me promise to put something in there with Natsu and Lucy. ^^

Secondary Note: I'm not so sure how to continue writing this for much longer, as I have not personally went through anything of this. So excuse the vague details and the slowest ass updates.

I'm also sorry for any mistakes. Enjoy the next chapter!

Gray smiled weakly. "I'm spending the next week with you. And I'm going to do anything to make you happy." He held out his pinky. "I promise." She looked over at him and extended her pinky slowly, wrapping it around his. He smiled widely and Lucy returned with a faint smile.

"Things are looking up for you Lucy.."

Lucy stayed up all night, talking with Gray. She didn't need any sleep; all of the days she slept covered it for her. She loved actually spending time with Gray.

Gray couldn't stop laughing, so he was holding his sides bent over. "Oohhhmygoood! She did not!"

Lucy giggled, clutching onto her shirt. "S-she did! And Natsu's face was just like-" She bulged her eyes out and stuck her tongue out before bursting into a fit of laughter.

He caught his breath barely. "A-and this was all because of-"

"Wendy asking about strawberry cake!" She interrupted, wiping away tears of laughter. "Leo was so confused when I accidentally summoned him. He was so clueless!"

"Hey! Lucy, I can hear you!" A voice called from the other room. "I may be an idiot, but I'm not deaf!"

Gray and Lucy literally lost their shit right there. Lucy half fell, half rolled off the bed in fits of laughter; Gray fell over his legs and landed on Lucy's arm. They kept laughing and laughing until they ran out of breath.

Lucy finally cleared a bit, giggling breathlessly as she opened her eyes to see a orange haired, and if she may add; a very annoyed, Leo.

He crossed his arms and glared at her, causing her to burst into another fit of giggles. He rolled his eyes. "Women.."

"Hey!"

"..And Gray." Leo sighed and began to shimmer away.

"Wait, L-Leo!" Lucy managed quickly. "M-me and Gray are going out l-later!"

He smiled. "I'm glad you're happy." He leaned down to kiss the top of her head and she screamed, putting her fist up and hitting him square in the jaw. He stopped shimmering and winced, holding his jaw. "Or not."

Gray finally caught his laughter, sitting up off Lucy's arm. "Oh calm down, Luce."

Leo seemed hurt. He wasn't even allowed to call her that.. "I'll just go for now." He started to shimmer away again. "Bye, Luce." He disappeared.

Lucy was in a bit of a panic, pushing Gray away from her when he tried to comfort her. Gray sighed softly, sitting a distance away from her. "Luce, he just wanted to kiss the top of your head. He's the one who saved you, remember?"

She nodded weakly and took a deep breath. "I remember. I panicked, again.." She sighed and crawled over to Gray, leaning into him. "So, where are we going later?"

He swore under his breath and laughed. "I was actually leaving that up to you."

She blinked then stuttered. "I-I-I.. w-what.. wait.."She closed her eyes and sighed, the images of all of her smiling, happy friends. "The guild."

Gray blinked a few times and slowly wrapped an arm around her. "Are you sure..?"

"Very sure." She smiled wide. "I want to see everyone, even if Erza won't be there." She leaned close to his ear, whispering, "I trust you, Gray." She let go and stood up, stretching out her arms. Gray looked away as her nightgown rode up past her thighs. "I miss the whole lot."

Gray stood up, setting his hand on her shoulder. "You're going to be around guys." She nodded. "And that involves you wearing some actual clothing."

Two and a half hours later, Lucy was dressed in a blue skirt with white on the bottom and her loose shirt, tucked in of course. The skirt was a bit longer than her usual skirts, and she had her keys and whip attached to her belt. She store at the guild door, looking up the building a bit.

"I can't do this!" She turned on her heel, starting to walk away.

"Hey hey hey, no." Gray grabbed her arm and spun her back to face the door, pushing her lightly. "You can do this. Trust me." He stepped slightly in front of her, opening the door slowly, pushing it open after a second.

Instead of a calm guild, they ran into a loud fight. Of course, Natsu was there, causing a commotion. He was yelling at Mirajane.

"DAMMIT!" He scared, hitting the counter that she was behind. "WHY DID SHE SEND ME BACK AND WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANOTHER FUCKING MISSION!"

Mirajane kept calm, smiling gently with her head tilted. "Well, it's one of the rules. You both took the mission and unless you both come back with either a fail or complete, neither one of you can take a new mission."

Natsu growled and slammed his head on the counter, causing Lucy to wince once. "Dammit Erza!"

Gray shook his head, grabbing Lucy's wrist and dragged her over to them. Mirajane smiled widely when she saw Lucy, filling a cup up with apple juice as Gray sat her down between him and Natsu.

"Lucy!" Natsu sat up quickly at the sound of her name. Mirajane passed the cup to her slowly, smiling and leaning on the counter. "We've missed you so much! So glad to see you up and out here."

Lucy smiled in return, taking the cup with a shaking hand. "I've missed you too. A-and thank Gray for that. He talked me out."

Natsu glared at the raven haired boy before grinning. "Really! I'm glad to see you out! We should throw a welcome back pa-"

"No!" Lucy yelled, nearly dropping her cup. Her face flushed and she cleared her throat. "I-I mean, no thanks. It's not needed." She smiled weakly.

Gray nodded. "She's right, it's not needed Natsu. She never really left." He raised his cup of ice cold water. "Cheers?"

The group lifted their glasses, except for Mirajane who raised a glass she was cleaning. They all clinked once and sipped their drink.

Lucy didn't though. She was staring at the apple juice with half closed eyes. Her nightmares have been keeping her awake with very little sleep. She tried to sleep before hand, but she panicked even more when Gray wouldn't leave her alone to sleep.

Natsu nudged her side weakly and she yelped, sitting up quickly. "Lucy, are you okay?"

She laughed shakingly, nodding as everyone stared at her. "Just a bit tired is all. I'm glad to be here again."

"Yeah, Luce-Lucy. Lucy. Uh.." Gray laughed gently, blushing and rubbed the back of his neck. "She wanted to come to the guild, actually."

Mirajane squealed. "Ooooh! You brave girl! I'm so glad." She brushed some of her long white hair behind her shoulder, leaning over to look into Lucy's eyes.

Lucy looked away and sipped her apple juice. "Yeah, I'm happy here." She smiled faintly, her eyes a bit bluer than usual. "I, uh. Might take some missions again soon too."

Gray and Natsu choked on their drinks. Natsu kept coughing and Gray stared wide-eyed. "Already?!"

The blonde nodded, smiling a bit wider. "I miss the Guild. So, why not. I need new clothes and I need food without relying on you guys all the time." She tipped the cup back, finishing the drink before setting it down and standing up, placing her hands on the counter.

"So, what's my first mission!"

Gray laughed as Lucy sat in the chair, looking annoyed as ever. The only mission open was one to keep an old lady company. All she did was talk.

The little women sat in her dark green rocking chair, rocking back and forth as she spoke, "And my daughter, Lou Ann, oooh. Did she HATE milk. Ironically, she's really taller. Taller than you, young lady. Drink your milk or you won't grow!"

Lucy groaned and slouched in her chair, brushing hair behind her ear. "Ma'am. When is your son going to get back?"

"OOOOOH. Speaking of my dear old son. He was a bit of a brat when he was younger, but now he's married to this beautiful girl and has four wonderful kids. And he still has time to drop by and take care of me!"

"Ma'am.."

The door opened and a black haired male stuck his head in. "You guys can go ahead now. Hope my mom didn't hurt your heads too much." He smiled and stood, opening the door and holding it opened as Gray walked out.

He held his hand out as Lucy walked past and she screamed, jumping back and shook a bit. The man blinked and opened his hand, holding out the money she earned.

Gray smiled and stepped in. "Sorry, she's easily scared." Lucy grabbed the money quickly and slipped past Gray, walking quickly.

He ran up to catch up with her as she shook slightly, speeding up with her walking. "Luce, slow down! It's okay." He caught up with her and hugged her tightly.

Gray leaned down and spoke very softly. "Luce, that's a new step. That's a big enough one to relax for the rest of the day." She nodded slowly and turned, wrapping her arms around him as he picked her up, heading to her house.

Okay, I'm terrible sorry for fucking up and being lazy and shit. But it's summer and I'm gaming or writing other things. I'm really sorry so I made it a bit longer and I'll try to get the next one up before Mid-August. If not, I'll put three chapters up one after the other for a payment.

Sorry again!

Kit.
