"Gray, if I fall in love with you. Catch me, okay?"
He blinked then blushed. "Luce?" A soft snore answered him. He looked down to see Lucy's chest rise and fall slowly, her head tucked under his chin.
Gray smiled and held her, closing his own eyes. "Better catch me now.." He mumbled as he dozed off, his arms wrapped around her tightly.
Chapter 6.
It was soft, blissful. Almost.. angelic. If felt like she was enclosed.. not, caught, but welcomed into an alluring heat. Dreamlike, and soft.
The heat felt alive. Moving, and with a heartbeat.
Something gentle grazed her cheek. Featherlike and wonderful..
Lucy opened her eyes slowly then closed them when light got in her eyes. She felt warmth move around her, slowly relaxing.
A low voice purred in her ear. "Luce.."
Blue flashed in her mind and she panicked, pushing away the warm body. "Get away, get away! Get away!"
"Lucy!" A hand grabbed her face and turned it to face Gray. "Lucy, it's just me!" His eyes were wide with worry and her face relaxed slowly.
He wrapped his arms around her, embracing her tightly as she buried her face in his chest. "I.. thought.."
"I know."
"A-and that you.."
"I know." He repeated, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. "It's alright."
A few minutes of silence later, Gray muttered something under his breath.
"Gray..?" Lucy tilted her head up slightly to see Gray's soft, sleeping expression.
She smiled gently, curling up into him as she fell back asleep.
When Lucy awoke again, Gray was out of bed and at the window, running his fingers through his disheveled hair as he mumbled to himself, counting off numbers with his other hand.
She rubbed her eyes and sat up, grumbling. "Gray, you were warm.."
He seemed too lost in though so she silently got up, tip-toeing over to him and wrapped her arms around his body loosely, surprising him.
Lucy felt the raven-haired boy's heart speed up when he heard her voice.
When he was still, and quiet, she let him go slowly, and turned, climbing back into bed.
He took a long, deep breath before trailing after her, wrapping his arms around her.
She blinked then closed her eyes when he mumbled, "you need to talk to Loke."
Lucy looked up at him, in a bit of shock. "Why?"
"Just do it, I need to shower and you need some company."
He picked up her keys from the table, holding her hand open and closes it over the keys. "Please. You need to catch up with him." He smiled and her heart throbbed.
Lucy nodded and he tilted her head up, placing a light kiss on her lips.
She blushed and looked down at her keys as he ruffled her hair lightly. "Talk to him." He repeated before leaving to the bathroom, that was connected to the bathroom.
She sat there silently before opening her hand slowly, picking up her gate key. She turned it over in her palm before sighing, holding the key out. With barely a voice, she spoke, "Leo the Lion.." she turned the key partly and saw the gate open.
There arrived Leo. In his suit, crossed arms and an angry expression. Lucy looked down as he raised his voice.
"When the hell were you going to finally fucking talk to me!" He grabbed her shoulders and shook her. "Do you know I fucking worry?"
She slapped his hands away. "I'll close the gate if you don't calm down."
His expression immediately softened. "Sorry." He sat down next to her slowly, taking in the surroundings.
"You.. married?"
"No!" She rushed out. "I-I.. Gray.. we-"
"Did you guys..?
"No!" Lucy shoved Leo to the ground. "Ew!"
Leo chuckled then stood up, hugging her. "I'm glad you're okay. I really am."
She smiled a bit.
They sat on the bed, cross-legged as Lucy explained the past while that she wasn't summoning him.
After catching up, Lucy felt drained so she closed to gate after hugging Leo.
She was stretched out on the bed when she heard the bathroom door open. When she looked up, she saw a shirtless Gray with a towel wrapped around his waist. Lucy blushed and smiled as he walked over to the bed, sitting on the end before laying down slowly.
"I'm. So. Tired." He groaned.
Lucy leaned down so her face was in front of his. "Hi there, So Tired. I'm Lucy."
He grinned at her then leaned up, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Idiot."
"Gray?" He looked up into her eyes as a response. "What are we gonna do today?"
He closed his eyes and hummed softly. "I was thinking we just.. sit and relax today. Some cuddles, some making of food." He wiggled his eyes brows at her, opening his eyes. "Maybe we can bang."
She rolled her eyes. "Idiot. It seems like you're ready anyway." She took a deep breath then shivered, lowering her nose to his hair as she inhaled.
Lucy closed her eyes as a memory flickered through her mind. She kept her nose in Gray's hair and purred under her breath. "Lavender.."
He chuckled then slipped away, standing up. She looked up, startled he moved away. "Might want to look away, I'm taking my towel off."
She lowered her gaze slightly then looked away when he moved his hand to remove the towel. She heard the dresser open and she squeezed her eyes shut.
After a minute, she felt hands slowly hold her face. "Keep them closed." Gray whispered slowly, kissing her forehead; her cheek; the corner of her mouth then finally her lips. She slowly returned the kiss, blushing more and more as it went on.
When he pulled away, Lucy began to open her eyes. "Luce, close them." He kissed her ear then hugged her tight, letting her get a whiff of his scented hair. He whispered something too soft to hear.
"W-what..?" She opened her eyes as he pulled away to see him blushing gently.
"Nothing." He smiled wide, his face still red. "So, it's.." His eyes trailed to the clock on the bedside. "Past eleven. Should we make some pancakes?"
"We don't have the ingredients, though." She said slowly.
"Shopping!" He threw his hands up, smiling. "Get dressed.~"
After they finished shopping, they returned home with bags of food and ingredients. It was cloudy when they left, and just as they closed the door and set the bags down, it started to rain.
Lucy let out a soft sigh and walked over to the window, setting her hands against the counter and leaned close to the glass. "Lucky us."
Gray didn't answer, but instead he came up behind Lucy and hugged her, setting his chin on her shoulder. His thoughts were running about, but they were mostly telling him to say something.
"Lucy..?"
"It's.. so pretty."
Their backyard was a little garden, complete with cherry trees and vines, and they were all being bathed by the rainfall.
Gray smiled gently then grabbed Lucy's wrists, pulling her out the backdoor into the pouring rain.
She began to protest but then she looked up at the sky and sighed gently, smiling as the rain hit her face. Lucy felt Gray's hand squeeze hers and he quickly held her close, rocking her gently.
Gray began to hum in her ear as they rocked as it rain on them.
I forgot what I was originally doing with this, and I'm so sorry.
Shit came up and 3 of my friends landed their asses in because they tried to kill themselves.
So I'm trying to fill up my heartless hole with fanfiction readings and plannings.
That and I marathoned a play-through of Life is Strange and I'm coming up with a fanfiction for the bae ending.
Peace, Love, Sorry.
