(No POV.)
Once Nightwing said that, you could hear a pin drop. The team was in shock that he would give himself up that easily, the league was shocked that he would do it for Robin nonetheless and the Titans just looked on sadly, knowing that there was really no way to stop him.
Then the outbursts came...
"NIGHTWING YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"
"DUDE NO!"
"THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY TO GET HIM BACK!"
Nightwing could even hear Barbara whisper softly to him,
"I just got you back..."
Nightwing silenced them with a glare and sent Barbara and the Titans an apologetic look before addressing Slade.
"That's just it, there is no other way. This has been your plan the whole time, just to get back your precious apprentice."
The heroes could practically hear the smirk in his voice as he answered.
"Oh isn't someone smart? Still how could I refuse the offer. On one side, I could keep the boy wonder and have the league and The Bat on back until they retrieve him or I could take the more promising apprentice who is already used to how I run things from last time, plus it doesn't seem like the league cares for you much so I won't have to worry about them. I will take your offer and let the Robin go for the cost of a Nightwing."
Nightwing could feel the pleading stares from all of his past or current teammates but he knew there was no other way to get Robin out of this and he would never willingly let someone else at the mercy of Slade, he knew how it felt and he would never wish that fate upon anyone.
That's when he felt the metal pipe hit him in the back of the head, he felt the tug of unconsciousness and the last thing he saw was Robin being pushed into the arms of Batgirl before everything went black.
-linelinelinelinelineline-
The second the pipe hit Nightwing's head the team, titans and batgirl lurched forward, trying to get to him, only to be surrounded by smoke a second later.
Once the results of the smoke bomb had cleared it was revealed that Slade, Wintergreen and, to everyone's dismay, the limp, black and blue vigilante had disappeared.

After the disappointment in the warehouse the various superheroes climbed back into the ship silently.
Robin stuck right next to Batgirl, keeping a death grip on her as if he was scared someone would come grab her away like Slade did to him, then Nightwing.
That's when the team realized that the Titans had not tried to stop Nightwing.
Artemis quickly pounced on them, bitter from the loss of her previous teammate.
"Why didn't you guys try to stop him?! I thought he was supposed to be your leader, your FRIEND! YOU JUST LET HIM GO!"
The titans calmly regarded her, knowing that the team was gonna be confused at their attitude towards the situation.
Starfire was the one who tried to explain it.
"Please, do not be mad at us until you have heard the whole story. Nightwing and Slade have had a history of badness, filled with plotting and fighting. There were no actions we could take that would have stopped Nightwing from sacrificing himself for Robin."
The team and league's attention was now caught by the Titans, hoping they would get the story behind what just happened in the warehouse.
Wally looked at Starfire, silently asking her what had happened to his friend within the last year but it was Beast Boy who answered.
"Um, yeah, the 2 dudes don't get along that well. Slade for some reason thinks that 'Wing is like the perfect apprentice for him or something. He went as far to kidnap him and blackmail him into being his protégé once. 'Wing knows how it feels to be under Slade's control and we all knew he would rather die than let someone else feel that way. The dude is just way too self sacrificing.''
Even the leaguers looked taken aback at the thought of a teenager taking on Deathstroke, them having failed to win against him many times themselves.
Batgirl looked over the Titans expressions and saw determination hidden somewhere under there.
''We are going to be able to get him back right?''
Both the league and the titans were surprised by the fact that she used we in that sentence. Superman clearly didn't like the idea of the league risking 4 major members on a wild goose chase for a snarky teenage vigilante
"What do you mean, 'we', Batgirl? You kids have to get back to Happy Harbor, your mentors were expecting you back yesterday. The Titans clearly can handle getting back their leader."
The titans who weren't familiar with the supposed big blue boyscout where shocked at him suggesting to not help another hero, but it was Robin who stood up to him.
"Of course we are going to help them, if it wasn't for Nightwing, I wouldn't be here!''
Before anyone could protest, Batman cut in, making an executive decision.
"Don't worry Robin, we will help with the search. We are in his debt and he is in this position because of us and until he is out of it we will help the Titans. If we leave him in Slade's care, we could have a mini mercenary on our hand within a month."
Everyone could recognize the sad excuse for Batman's need to help Nightwing and could hear the admiration for the boy in his voice. He might not have liked him but he respected him and Nightwing had saved one of the sons he continued to fail. He had to help him.
Deep down, Batman felt something else stir in his heart, and he somehow knew the outcome of this battle would leave an impact on the League, team and Titan's that none of them were ready for.

A.N. OMG THAT TOOK FOREVER! I'm so sorry, even though I knew what was gonna happen during this chappie, I had severe writer's block! Again I will finish this story if it kills me SO STOP WORRYING!
Also in YJ Superman's kinda a dick so I thought his response was appropriate.
